   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּעַשְׁתֵּי־עֶשְׂרֵהbe/ash/TE-es/REin the eleventhשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבְּאֶחָדbe/e/CHADon the firstלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthהָיָהha/YAcameדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manיַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁר־אָמְרָהa/SHER-AM/rahas saidצֹּרTsorTyreעַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםal-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimagainst Jerusalemהֶאָחhe/ACHahaנִשְׁבְּרָהnish/be/RAshe is brokenדַּלְתוֹתdal/TOTthe doors ofהָעַמִּיםha/am/MIMthe peoplesנָסֵבָּהna/SEB/bashe is turnedאֵלָיe/LAYto meאִמָּלְאָהim/ma/le/AI shall be filledהׇחֳרָבָה׃ho/cho/ra/VAnow she is laid waste

   Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youצֹרTsorO Tyreוְהַעֲלֵיתִיve/ha/a/le/TIand I will bring upעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyכְּהַעֲלוֹתke/ha/a/LOTas causes to come upהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaלְגַלָּיו׃le/gal/LAYVits waves

   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.

   וְשִׁחֲתוּve/shi/cha/TUand they shall destroyחֹמוֹתcho/MOTthe walls ofצֹרTsorTyreוְהָרְסוּve/ha/re/SUand break downמִגְדָּלֶיהָmig/da/LE/haits towersוְסִחֵיתִיve/si/che/TIand I will scrapeעֲפָרָהּa/fa/RAher dustמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nafrom itוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand makeאוֹתָהּo/TAitלִצְחִיחַlits/CHI/achthe bareסָלַע׃SA/larock

   And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.

   מִשְׁטַחmish/TACHa place for spreadingחֲרָמִיםcha/ra/MIMnetsתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshe shall beבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIדִבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tihave spokenנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand she shall becomeלְבַזle/VAZa spoilלַגּוֹיִם׃lag/go/YIMto the nations

   It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations.

   וּבְנוֹתֶיהָu/ve/no/TE/haand her daughtersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordתֵּהָרַגְנָהte/ha/RAG/nashall be slainוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

   כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringאֶל־צֹרel-Tsoragainst TyreנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/re/TSARNebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylonמִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONfrom the northמֶלֶךְME/lekha king ofמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMkingsבְּסוּסbe/SUSwith horsesוּבְרֶכֶבu/ve/RE/khevand with chariotsוּבְפָרָשִׁיםu/ve/fa/ra/SHIMand with horsemenוְקָהָלve/ka/HALand an assemblyוְעַם־רָב׃ve/AM-ravand many people

   For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.

   בְּנוֹתַיִךְbe/no/TA/yikhyour daughtersבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordיַהֲרֹגya/ha/ROGhe shall slayוְנָתַןve/na/TANand he shall makeעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youדָּיֵקda/YEKa siege wallוְשָׁפַךְve/sha/FAKHand cast upעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youסֹלְלָהsol/LAa moundוְהֵקִיםve/he/KIMand lift upעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youצִנָּה׃tsin/NAthe buckler

   He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.

   וּמְחִיu/me/CHIand the blows ofקׇבׇלּוֹko/vol/LOhis battering ramיִתֵּןyit/TENhe shall setבְּחֹמוֹתָיִךְbe/cho/mo/TA/yikhagainst your wallsוּמִגְדְּלֹתַיִךְu/mig/de/lo/TA/yikhand your towersיִתֹּץyit/TOTShe shall break downבְּחַרְבוֹתָיו׃be/char/vo/TAYVwith his axes

   And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

    מִשִּׁפְעַתmish/shif/ATby reason of the abundance ofסוּסָיוsu/SAYVhis horsesיְכַסֵּךְye/khas/SEKHshall cover youאֲבָקָםa/va/KAMtheir dustמִקּוֹלmik/KOLat the noise ofפָּרַשׁpa/RASHhorsemenוְגַלְגַּלve/gal/GALand wheelsוָרֶכֶבva/RE/khevand chariotsתִּרְעַשְׁנָהtir/ASH/nashall shakeחוֹמוֹתַיִךְcho/mo/TA/yikhyour wallsבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he entersבִּשְׁעָרַיִךְbish/a/RA/yikhyour gatesכִּמְבוֹאֵיkim/vo/Eas men enterעִירira cityמְבֻקָּעָה׃me/vuk/ka/Abreached

    By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

    בְּפַרְסוֹתbe/far/SOTwith the hooves ofסוּסָיוsu/SAYVhis horsesיִרְמֹסyir/MOShe will trampleאֶת־כׇּל־חוּצוֹתָיִךְet-kol-chu/tso/TA/yikhall your streetsעַמֵּךְam/MEKHyour peopleבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיַהֲרֹגya/ha/ROGhe shall slayוּמַצְּבוֹתu/mats/tse/VOTand the pillars ofעֻזֵּךְuz/ZEKHyour strengthלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the groundתֵּרֵד׃te/REDshall go down

    With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.

12. 12

    וְשָׁלְלוּve/sha/le/LUand they shall make a spoil ofחֵילֵךְche/LEKHyour richesוּבָזְזוּu/va/ze/ZUand make a prey ofרְכֻלָּתֵךְre/khul/la/TEKHyour merchandiseוְהָרְסוּve/ha/re/SUand break downחוֹמוֹתַיִךְcho/mo/TA/yikhyour wallsוּבָתֵּיu/vat/TEand the houses ofחֶמְדָּתֵךְchem/da/TEKHyour delightיִתֹּצוּyit/TO/tsuthey shall destroyוַאֲבָנַיִךְva/a/va/NA/yikhand your stonesוְעֵצַיִךְve/e/TSA/yikhand your woodוַעֲפָרֵךְva/a/fa/REKHand your dustבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofמַיִםMA/yimthe waterיָשִׂימוּ׃ya/SI/muthey shall lay

    And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.

13. 13

    וְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TIand I will make ceaseהֲמוֹןha/MONthe noise ofשִׁירָיִךְshi/RA/yikhyour songsוְקוֹלve/KOLand the noise ofכִּנּוֹרַיִךְkin/no/RA/yikhyour lyresלֹאlonotיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAshall be heardעוֹד׃odagain

    And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

14. 14

    וּנְתַתִּיךְu/ne/tat/TIKHand I will make youלִצְחִיחַlits/CHI/achthe bareסֶלַעSE/larockמִשְׁטַחmish/TACHa place for spreadingחֲרָמִיםcha/ra/MIMnetsתִּהְיֶהtih/YEyou shall beלֹאlonotתִבָּנֶהtib/ba/NEyou shall be builtעוֹדodagainכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

15. 15

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODלְצוֹרle/TSORto Tyreהֲלֹאha/LOshall notמִקּוֹלmik/KOLat the sound ofמַפַּלְתֵּךְmap/pal/TEKHyour downfallבֶּאֱנֹקbe/e/NOKwhen groanחָלָלcha/LALthe woundedבֵּהָרֵגbe/HA/regwhen is madeהֶרֶגHE/regthe slaughterבְּתוֹכֵךְbe/to/KHEKHin the midst of youיִרְעֲשׁוּyir/a/SHUshakeהָאִיִּים׃ha/iy/YIMthe islands

    Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

16. 16

    וְיָרְדוּve/ya/re/DUthen shall come downמֵעַלme/ALfromכִּסְאוֹתָםkis/o/TAMtheir thronesכֹּלkolallנְשִׂיאֵיne/si/Ethe princes ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוְהֵסִירוּve/he/SI/ruand lay awayאֶת־מְעִילֵיהֶםet-me/i/le/HEMtheir robesוְאֶת־בִּגְדֵיve/ET-big/DEand the garments ofרִקְמָתָםrik/ma/TAMtheir embroideryיִפְשֹׁטוּyif/SHO/tuthey shall put offחֲרָדוֹתcha/ra/DOTwith tremblingיִלְבָּשׁוּyil/BA/shuthey shall clothe themselvesעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the groundיֵשֵׁבוּye/SHE/vuthey shall sitוְחָרְדוּve/cha/re/DUand shall trembleלִרְגָעִיםlir/ga/IMevery momentוְשָׁמְמוּve/sha/me/MUand be astonishedעָלָיִךְ׃a/LA/yikhat you

    Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.

17. 17

    וְנָשְׂאוּve/na/se/Uand they shall take upעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhfor youקִינָהki/NAa lamentationוְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUand sayלָךְlakhto youאֵיךְekhhowאָבַדְתְּa/VADTyou have perishedנוֹשֶׁבֶתno/SHE/vetthat was inhabitedמִיַּמִּיםmiy/yam/MIMby seafaring menהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַהֻלָּלָהha/hul/LA/larenownedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasחֲזָקָהcha/za/KAstrongבַיָּםvay/YAMin the seaהִיאhisheוְיֹשְׁבֶיהָve/yosh/VE/haand her inhabitantsאֲשֶׁר־נָתְנוּa/SHER-na/te/NUwho causedחִתִּיתָםchit/ti/TAMtheir terrorלְכׇל־יוֹשְׁבֶיהָ׃le/KHOL-yosh/VE/haon all who dwelt there

    And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

18. 18

    עַתָּהat/TAnowיֶחְרְדוּyech/re/DUshall trembleהָאִיִּןha/iy/YINthe islandsיוֹםyomin the day ofמַפַּלְתֵּךְmap/pal/TEKHyour downfallוְנִבְהֲלוּve/niv/ha/LUand shall be troubledהָאִיִּיםha/iy/YIMthe islandsאֲשֶׁר־בַּיָּםa/SHER-bay/YAMthat are in the seaמִצֵּאתֵךְ׃mits/tse/TEKHat your departure

    Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבְּתִתִּיbe/tit/TIwhen I makeאֹתָךְo/TAKHyouעִירira cityנֶחֱרֶבֶתne/che/RE/vetdesolateכֶּעָרִיםke/a/RIMlike the citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־נוֹשָׁבוּlo-no/SHA/vuare not inhabitedבְּהַעֲלוֹתbe/ha/a/LOTwhen I bring upעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֶת־תְּהוֹםet-te/HOMthe deepוְכִסּוּךְve/khis/SUKHand shall cover youהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersהָרַבִּים׃ha/rab/BIMgreat

    For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;

20. 20

    וְהוֹרַדְתִּיךְve/ho/rad/TIKHthen I will bring you downאֶת־יוֹרְדֵיet-YOR/dewith those who go down toבוֹרvorthe pitאֶל־עַםel-amto the people ofעוֹלָםo/LAMoldוְהוֹשַׁבְתִּיךְve/ho/shav/TIKHand will make you dwellבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofתַּחְתִּיּוֹתtach/tiy/YOTthe lowest partsכׇּחֳרָבוֹתko/cho/ra/VOTlike ruinsמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMof oldאֶת־יוֹרְדֵיet-YOR/dewith those who go down toבוֹרvorthe pitלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתֵשֵׁבִיte/SHE/vibe inhabitedוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will setצְבִיtse/VIgloryבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofחַיִּים׃chay/YIMthe living

    When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

21. 21

    בַּלָּהוֹתbal/la/HOTa terrorאֶתְּנֵךְet/te/NEKHI will make youוְאֵינֵךְve/e/NEKHand you shall be no moreוּתְבֻקְשִׁיu/te/vuk/SHIthough you are soughtוְלֹא־תִמָּצְאִיve/LO-tim/ma/tse/Iyet you shall not be foundעוֹדodagainלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.
