    And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

    וַיְהִיand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהthe word of the LORDאֵלַיto meלֵאמֹר׃saying

    Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,

    בֶּן־אָדָםson of manדַּבֵּרspeakאֶת־זִקְנֵיthe elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵהֶםunto themכֹּהthusאָמַרsaidאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODהֲלִדְרֹשׁis it to consultאֹתִיmeאַתֶּםyouבָּאִיםcomeחַי־אָנִיas I liveאִם־אִדָּרֵשׁif will I let myself be consultedלָכֶםto youנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִה׃GOD

    Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

    הֲתִשְׁפֹּטwill you judgeאֹתָםthemהֲתִשְׁפּוֹטwill you judgeבֶּן־אָדָםson of manאֶת־תּוֹעֲבֹתthe abominations ofאֲבוֹתָםtheir fathersהוֹדִיעֵם׃make known to them

    Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

    וְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵיהֶםto themכֹּה־אָמַרthus saysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODבְּיוֹםin the day ofבׇּחֳרִיwhen I choseבְיִשְׂרָאֵלin Israelוָאֶשָּׂאand I took upיָדִיmy handלְזֶרַעunto the seed ofבֵּיתthe house ofיַעֲקֹבJacobוָאִוָּדַעand I made myself knownלָהֶםto themבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptוָאֶשָּׂאand I took upיָדִיmy handלָהֶםto themלֵאמֹרsayingאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;

    בַּיּוֹםin the dayהַהוּאthatנָשָׂאתִיI lifted upיָדִיmy handלָהֶםto themלְהוֹצִיאָםto lead themמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptאֶל־אֶרֶץto the land ofאֲשֶׁר־תַּרְתִּיwhich I searchedלָהֶםto themזָבַתflowingחָלָבmilkוּדְבַשׁand honeyצְבִיthe glory ofהִיאit isלְכׇל־הָאֲרָצוֹת׃to all the lands

    In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֲלֵהֶםunto themאִישׁa manשִׁקּוּצֵיthe detestable things ofעֵינָיוhis eyesהַשְׁלִיכוּthrowוּבְגִלּוּלֵיand by the idols ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptאַל־תִּטַּמָּאוּdo not you will make yourselves uncleanאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

    וַיַּמְרוּ־בִיand they rebelled against meוְלֹאand notאָבוּthey were willingלִשְׁמֹעַto hearאֵלַיto meאִישׁa manאֶת־שִׁקּוּצֵיthe detestable things ofעֵינֵיהֶםtheir eyesלֹאnotהִשְׁלִיכוּthey castוְאֶת־גִּלּוּלֵיand the idols ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptלֹאnotעָזָבוּthey forsookוָאֹמַרand I saidלִשְׁפֹּךְto shedחֲמָתִיMy-furyעֲלֵיהֶםupon themלְכַלּוֹתto finish outאַפִּיMy-angerבָּהֶםin themבְּתוֹךְin the midst ofאֶרֶץthe land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Egypt

    But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

    וָאַעַשׂand I actedלְמַעַןin order thatשְׁמִיmy nameלְבִלְתִּיto notהֵחֵלbe profanedלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִםthe nationsאֲשֶׁר־הֵמָּהwhich they areבְתוֹכָםamong themאֲשֶׁרwhichנוֹדַעְתִּיI made myself knownאֲלֵיהֶםto themלְעֵינֵיהֶםbefore their eyesלְהוֹצִיאָםto lead themמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Egypt

    But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

    וָאוֹצִיאֵםand I brought out themמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptוָאֲבִאֵםand I brought themאֶל־הַמִּדְבָּר׃to the wilderness

    Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

    וָאֶתֵּןand I gaveלָהֶםto themאֶת־חֻקּוֹתַיmy statutesוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיand my judgmentsהוֹדַעְתִּיI made knownאוֹתָםthemאֲשֶׁרwhichיַעֲשֶׂהhe shall doאוֹתָםthemהָאָדָםthe manוָחַיand he shall liveבָּהֶם׃in them

    And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

    וְגַםand alsoאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַיmy sabbathsנָתַתִּיI gaveלָהֶםto themלִהְיוֹתto beלְאוֹתfor a signבֵּינִיbetween meוּבֵינֵיהֶםand between themלָדַעַתto knowכִּיthatאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDמְקַדְּשָׁם׃who sanctifies them

    Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

    וַיַּמְרוּ־בִיand they rebelled against meבֵית־יִשְׂרָאֵלthe house of Israelבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessבְּחֻקּוֹתַיin my statutesלֹא־הָלָכוּnot they walkedוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיand my judgmentsמָאָסוּthey rejectedאֲשֶׁרwhichיַעֲשֶׂהhe shall doאֹתָםthemהָאָדָםthe manוָחַיand he shall liveבָּהֶםin themוְאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַיand my sabbathsחִלְּלוּprofanedמְאֹדexceedinglyוָאֹמַרand I saidלִשְׁפֹּךְto shedחֲמָתִיMy-furyעֲלֵיהֶםupon themבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessלְכַלּוֹתָם׃to make an end of them

    But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

    וָאֶעֱשֶׂהand I actedלְמַעַןin order thatשְׁמִיmy nameלְבִלְתִּיto notהֵחֵלbe profanedלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִםthe nationsאֲשֶׁרwhichהוֹצֵאתִיםI had brought out themלְעֵינֵיהֶם׃before their eyes

    But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

    וְגַם־אֲנִיand also IנָשָׂאתִיI lifted upיָדִיmy handלָהֶםto themבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessלְבִלְתִּיto notהָבִיאbringingאוֹתָםthemאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתִּיwhich I gaveזָבַתflowingחָלָבmilkוּדְבַשׁand honeyצְבִיthe glory ofהִיאit isלְכׇל־הָאֲרָצוֹת׃to all the lands

    Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

    יַעַןbecauseבְּמִשְׁפָּטַיmy judgmentsמָאָסוּthey rejectedוְאֶת־חֻקּוֹתַיand my statutesלֹא־הָלְכוּnot wentבָהֶםamong themוְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַיand my sabbathsחִלֵּלוּthey had profanedכִּיbecauseאַחֲרֵיafterגִלּוּלֵיהֶםtheir idolsלִבָּםtheir heartsהֹלֵךְ׃going

    Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

    וַתָּחׇסand sparedעֵינִיmy eyeעֲלֵיהֶםupon themמִשַּׁחֲתָםfrom destroying themוְלֹא־עָשִׂיתִיand not I madeאוֹתָםthemכָּלָהa full endבַּמִּדְבָּר׃in the wilderness

    Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֶל־בְּנֵיהֶםto their sonsבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessבְּחוּקֵּיin the statutes ofאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour fathersאַל־תֵּלֵכוּdo not you will walkוְאֶת־מִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶםand their judgmentsאַל־תִּשְׁמֹרוּdo not you will observeוּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶםand by their idolsאַל־תִּטַּמָּאוּ׃do not you will make yourselves unclean

    But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

  19. 19

    אֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godבְּחֻקּוֹתַיin my statutesלֵכוּgoוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיand my judgmentsשִׁמְרוּkeepוַעֲשׂוּand doאוֹתָם׃them

    I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

    וְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַיand my sabbathsקַדֵּשׁוּkeep holyוְהָיוּthen they shall beלְאוֹתfor a signבֵּינִיbetween meוּבֵינֵיכֶםand between youלָדַעַתto knowכִּיthatאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

    וַיַּמְרוּ־בִיand they rebelled against meהַבָּנִיםthe sonsבְּחֻקּוֹתַיin my statutesלֹא־הָלָכוּnot they walkedוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיand my judgmentsלֹא־שָׁמְרוּnot keptלַעֲשׂוֹתto doאוֹתָםthemאֲשֶׁרwhichיַעֲשֶׂהhe shall doאוֹתָםthemהָאָדָםthe manוָחַיand he shall liveבָּהֶםin themאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַיmy sabbathsחִלֵּלוּthey had profanedוָאֹמַרand I saidלִשְׁפֹּךְto shedחֲמָתִיMy-furyעֲלֵיהֶםupon themלְכַלּוֹתto finish outאַפִּיMy-angerבָּםin themבַּמִּדְבָּר׃in the wilderness

    Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

    וַהֲשִׁבֹתִיI withdrewאֶת־יָדִיmy handוָאַעַשׂand I actedלְמַעַןin order thatשְׁמִיmy nameלְבִלְתִּיto notהֵחֵלbe profanedלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִםthe nationsאֲשֶׁר־הוֹצֵאתִיwhich I have ledאוֹתָםthemלְעֵינֵיהֶם׃before their eyes

    Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

    גַּם־אֲנִיalso IנָשָׂאתִיI lifted upאֶת־יָדִיmy handלָהֶםto themבַּמִּדְבָּרin the wildernessלְהָפִיץto scatterאֹתָםthemבַּגּוֹיִםamong the nationsוּלְזָרוֹתand to disperseאוֹתָםthemבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃in the lands

    I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

    יַעַןbecauseמִשְׁפָּטַיmy judgmentsלֹא־עָשׂוּnot they didוְחֻקּוֹתַיand my statutesמָאָסוּthey rejectedוְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַיand my sabbathsחִלֵּלוּthey had profanedוְאַחֲרֵיand afterגִּלּוּלֵיthe idols ofאֲבוֹתָםtheir fathersהָיוּwereעֵינֵיהֶם׃their eyes

    Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

  25. 25

    וְגַם־אֲנִיand also IנָתַתִּיI gaveלָהֶםto themחֻקִּיםlawsלֹאnotטוֹבִיםgoodוּמִשְׁפָּטִיםand judgmentsלֹאnotיִחְיוּthey shall liveבָּהֶם׃in them

    Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

  26. 26

    וָאֲטַמֵּאand I made uncleanאוֹתָםthemבְּמַתְּנוֹתָםby their giftsבְּהַעֲבִירwhen made pass throughכׇּל־פֶּטֶרall that opensרָחַםa wombלְמַעַןin order thatאֲשִׁמֵּםI may make appalled themלְמַעַןin order thatאֲשֶׁרwhichיֵדְעוּknowאֲשֶׁרwhichאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

    לָכֵןthereforeדַּבֵּרspeakאֶל־בֵּיתto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבֶּן־אָדָםson of manוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵיהֶםto themכֹּהthusאָמַרsaidאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODעוֹדany moreזֹאתthisגִּדְּפוּthey blasphemedאוֹתִיmeאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour fathersבְּמַעֲלָםin their trespassבִּיagainst meמָעַל׃a trespass

    Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

    וָאֲבִיאֵםand I brought themאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landאֲשֶׁרwhichנָשָׂאתִיI lifted upאֶת־יָדִיmy handלָתֵתto giveאוֹתָהּitלָהֶםto themוַיִּרְאוּand they sawכׇל־גִּבְעָהevery hillרָמָהhighוְכׇל־עֵץand every treeעָבֹתleafyוַיִּזְבְּחוּ־שָׁםand sacrificed thereאֶת־זִבְחֵיהֶםtheir sacrificesוַיִּתְּנוּ־שָׁםand they gave thereכַּעַסthe provocation ofקׇרְבָּנָםtheir offeringוַיָּשִׂימוּand they putשָׁםthereרֵיחַaroma ofנִיחוֹחֵיהֶםtheir soothingוַיַּסִּיכוּand they poured outשָׁםthereאֶת־נִסְכֵּיהֶם׃their drink offerings

    For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

    וָאֹמַרand I saidאֲלֵהֶםunto themמָהwhatהַבָּמָהthe high placeאֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּםwhich you areהַבָּאִיםwho cameשָׁםthereוַיִּקָּרֵאand therefore he was calledשְׁמָהּits nameבָּמָהBamahעַדuntilהַיּוֹםthe dayהַזֶּה׃this

    Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.

    לָכֵןthereforeאֱמֹרsayאֶל־בֵּיתto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelכֹּהthusאָמַרsaidאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODהַבְּדֶרֶךְin the way ofאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour fathersאַתֶּםyouנִטְמְאִיםmaking yourselves uncleanוְאַחֲרֵיand afterשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶםtheir detestable thingsאַתֶּםyouזֹנִים׃are prostituting themselves

    Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?

  31. 31

    וּבִשְׂאֵתand when lifted upמַתְּנֹתֵיכֶםyour giftsבְּהַעֲבִירwhen made pass throughבְּנֵיכֶםyour sonsבָּאֵשׁby fireאַתֶּםyouנִטְמְאִיםmaking yourselves uncleanלְכׇל־גִּלּוּלֵיכֶםto all your idolsעַד־הַיּוֹםeven until the dayוַאֲנִיand Iאִדָּרֵשׁwill I let myself be consultedלָכֶםto youבֵּיתthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelחַי־אָנִיas I liveנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODאִם־אִדָּרֵשׁif will I let myself be consultedלָכֶם׃to you

    For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

    וְהָעֹלָהand that which comesעַל־רוּחֲכֶםinto your mindהָיוֹmust needsלֹאnotתִהְיֶהbeאֲשֶׁרwhichאַתֶּםyouאֹמְרִיםsayנִהְיֶהlet us beכַגּוֹיִםlike the nationsכְּמִשְׁפְּחוֹתlike the families ofהָאֲרָצוֹתthe landsלְשָׁרֵתto serveעֵץa treeוָאָבֶן׃and stone

    And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

  33. 33

    חַי־אָנִיas I liveנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODאִם־לֹאif notבְּיָדby a handחֲזָקָהmightyוּבִזְרוֹעַand by an armנְטוּיָהis stretched outוּבְחֵמָהand in rageשְׁפוּכָהpoured outאֶמְלוֹךְI will reignעֲלֵיכֶם׃over you

    As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

    וְהוֹצֵאתִיand I will bring outאֶתְכֶםyouמִן־הָעַמִּיםfrom the peopleוְקִבַּצְתִּיand I will gatherאֶתְכֶםyouמִן־הָאֲרָצוֹתfrom the landsאֲשֶׁרwhichנְפוֹצֹתֶםyou have been scatteredבָּםin themבְּיָדby a handחֲזָקָהmightyוּבִזְרוֹעַand by an armנְטוּיָהis stretched outוּבְחֵמָהand in rageשְׁפוּכָה׃poured out

    And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

  35. 35

    וְהֵבֵאתִיand I will bringאֶתְכֶםyouאֶל־מִדְבַּרto wildernessהָעַמִּיםthe peopleוְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּיand I will enter into judgmentאִתְּכֶםwith youשָׁםthereפָּנִיםfaceאֶל־פָּנִים׃to face

    And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

  36. 36

    כַּאֲשֶׁרasנִשְׁפַּטְתִּיI entered into judgmentאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour fathersבְּמִדְבַּרin the wilderness ofאֶרֶץthe land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptכֵּןthusאִשָּׁפֵטI will enter into judgmentאִתְּכֶםwith youנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִה׃GOD

    Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

  37. 37

    וְהַעֲבַרְתִּיand I will make to passאֶתְכֶםyouתַּחַתunderהַשָּׁבֶטthe rodוְהֵבֵאתִיand I will bringאֶתְכֶםyouבְּמָסֹרֶתinto the discipline ofהַבְּרִית׃the covenant

    And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

    וּבָרוֹתִיand I will purgeמִכֶּםfrom youהַמֹּרְדִיםthe ones who rebelוְהַפּוֹשְׁעִיםand the ones who transgressבִּיagainst meמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמְגוּרֵיהֶםtheir sojourningsאוֹצִיאI shall bring outאוֹתָםthemוְאֶל־אַדְמַתand the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֹאnotיָבוֹאshall they enterוִידַעְתֶּםand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיthat I amיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

    וְאַתֶּםand youבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלthe house of Israelכֹּה־אָמַרthus saysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODאִישׁa manגִּלּוּלָיוhis idolsלְכוּgoעֲבֹדוּserveוְאַחַרand thenאִם־אֵינְכֶםif you are notשֹׁמְעִיםobedientאֵלָיunto meוְאֶת־שֵׁםand name ofקׇדְשִׁיmy holinessלֹאnotתְחַלְּלוּ־עוֹדyou will profane any moreבְּמַתְּנוֹתֵיכֶםby your giftsוּבְגִלּוּלֵיכֶם׃and by your idols

    As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

  40. 40

    כִּיforבְהַר־קׇדְשִׁיon the mountain of my holinessבְּהַרon the mount ofמְרוֹםthe heights ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODשָׁםthereיַעַבְדֻנִיshall serve meכׇּל־בֵּיתall house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelכֻּלֹּהall of itבָּאָרֶץin the landשָׁםthereאֶרְצֵםI will accept themוְשָׁםand thereאֶדְרוֹשׁI will seekאֶת־תְּרוּמֹתֵיכֶםyour offeringsוְאֶת־רֵאשִׁיתand the firstfruits ofמַשְׂאוֹתֵיכֶםyour giftsבְּכׇל־קׇדְשֵׁיכֶם׃on all your holy things

    For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

  41. 41

    בְּרֵיחַthe aroma ofנִיחֹחַsoothingאֶרְצֶהI will acceptאֶתְכֶםyouבְּהוֹצִיאִיwhen I brought outאֶתְכֶםyouמִן־הָעַמִּיםfrom the peopleוְקִבַּצְתִּיand I will gatherאֶתְכֶםyouמִן־הָאֲרָצוֹתfrom the landsאֲשֶׁרwhichנְפֹצֹתֶםyou have been scatteredבָּםin themוְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּיand I will show myself holyבָכֶםover youלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִם׃the nations

    I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

  42. 42

    וִידַעְתֶּםand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיthat I amיְהֹוָהthe LORDבַּהֲבִיאִיwhen I bringאֶתְכֶםyouאֶל־אַדְמַתto the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landאֲשֶׁרwhichנָשָׂאתִיI lifted upאֶת־יָדִיmy handלָתֵתto giveאוֹתָהּitלַאֲבוֹתֵיכֶם׃to your fathers

    And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

  43. 43

    וּזְכַרְתֶּם־שָׁםand remember thereאֶת־דַּרְכֵיכֶםyour waysוְאֵתandכׇּל־עֲלִילוֹתֵיכֶםall your practicesאֲשֶׁרwhichנִטְמֵאתֶםyou have made yourselves uncleanבָּםin themוּנְקֹטֹתֶםand you will loatheבִּפְנֵיכֶםin your own sightבְּכׇל־רָעוֹתֵיכֶםfor all your evilsאֲשֶׁרwhichעֲשִׂיתֶם׃you have done

    And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

  44. 44

    וִידַעְתֶּםand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיthat I amיְהֹוָהthe LORDבַּעֲשׂוֹתִיwhen I have actedאִתְּכֶםwith youלְמַעַןin order thatשְׁמִיmy nameלֹאnotכְדַרְכֵיכֶםaccording to your waysהָרָעִיםevilוְכַעֲלִילוֹתֵיכֶםnor according to your doingsהַנִּשְׁחָתוֹתthe corruptבֵּיתthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִה׃GOD

    And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
