Ezekiel 19 יְחֶזְקֵאל פרק י״ט

1. 1

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youשָׂאsatake upקִינָהki/NAa lamentationאֶל־נְשִׂיאֵיel-ne/si/Efor the princes ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,

   וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayמָהmawhat wasאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherלְבִיָּאle/viy/YAa lionessבֵּיןbenamongאֲרָיוֹתa/ra/YOTlionsרָבָצָהra/VA/tsashe lay downבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongכְּפִרִיםke/fi/RIMyoung lionsרִבְּתָהrib/be/TAshe nourishedגוּרֶיהָ׃gu/RE/haher cubs

   And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.

   וַתַּעַלvat/TA/aland she brought upאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִגֻּרֶיהָmig/gu/RE/haof her cubsכְּפִירke/FIRa young lionהָיָהha/YAhe becameוַיִּלְמַדvay/yil/MADand he learnedלִטְרׇף־טֶרֶףlit/ROF-TE/refto tear preyאָדָםa/DAMmenאָכָל׃a/KHALhe devoured

   And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.

   וַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand heardאֵלָיוe/LAYVof himגּוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsבְּשַׁחְתָּםbe/shach/TAMin their pitנִתְפָּשׂnit/PAShe was caughtוַיְבִאֻהוּvay/vi/U/huand they brought himבַחַחִיםva/cha/CHIMwith hooksאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.

   וַתֵּרֶאvat/TE/reand when she sawכִּיkithatנוֹחֲלָהno/cha/LAshe had waitedאָבְדָהa/ve/DAwas lostתִּקְוָתָהּtik/va/TAher hopeוַתִּקַּחvat/tik/KACHthen she tookאֶחָדe/CHADanotherמִגֻּרֶיהָmig/gu/RE/haof her cubsכְּפִירke/FIRa young lionשָׂמָתְהוּ׃sa/MAT/huand made him

   Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.

   וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְvay/yit/hal/LEKHand he went up and downבְּתוֹךְ־אֲרָיוֹתbe/TOKH-a/ra/YOTamong lionsכְּפִירke/FIRa young lionהָיָהha/YAhe becameוַיִּלְמַדvay/yil/MADand he learnedלִטְרׇף־טֶרֶףlit/ROF-TE/refto tear preyאָדָםa/DAMmenאָכָל׃a/KHALhe devoured

   And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.

   וַיֵּדַעvay/YE/daand he knewאַלְמְנוֹתָיוal/me/no/TAYVhis widowsוְעָרֵיהֶםve/a/re/HEMand their citiesהֶחֱרִיבhe/che/RIVhe laid wasteוַתֵּשַׁםvat/TE/shamand was desolateאֶרֶץE/retsthe landוּמְלֹאָהּu/me/lo/Aand its fullnessמִקּוֹלmik/KOLby the noise ofשַׁאֲגָתוֹ׃sha/a/ga/TOhis roaring

   And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.

   וַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUthen setעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himגּוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsסָבִיבsa/VIVon every sideמִמְּדִינוֹתmim/me/di/NOTfrom the provincesוַיִּפְרְשׂוּvay/yif/re/SUand spreadעָלָיוa/LAYVover himרִשְׁתָּםrish/TAMtheir netבְּשַׁחְתָּםbe/shach/TAMin their pitנִתְפָּשׂ׃nit/PAShe was caught

   Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.

   וַיִּתְּנֻהוּvay/yit/te/NU/huand they put himבַסּוּגַרvas/su/GARin a cageבַּחַחִיםba/cha/CHIMwith hooksוַיְבִאֻהוּvay/vi/U/huand brought himאֶל־מֶלֶךְel-ME/lekhto the king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonיְבִאֻהוּye/vi/U/huthey brought himבַּמְּצֹדוֹתbam/me/tso/DOTinto strongholdsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹא־יִשָּׁמַעlo-yish/sha/MAshould not be heardקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceעוֹדodagainאֶל־הָרֵיel-ha/REon the mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.

    אִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherכַגֶּפֶןkhag/GE/fenlike a vineבְּדָמְךָbe/da/me/KHAin your bloodעַל־מַיִםal-MA/yimby watersשְׁתוּלָהshe/tu/LAwas plantedפֹּרִיָּהpo/riy/YAfruitfulוַעֲנֵפָהva/a/ne/FAand full of branchesהָיְתָהha/ye/TAshe wasמִמַּיִםmim/MA/yimby reason of watersרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.

    וַיִּהְיוּ־לָהּvay/yih/YU-laand she hadמַטּוֹתmat/TOTrodsעֹזozstrongאֶל־שִׁבְטֵיel-shiv/TEfor scepters ofמֹשְׁלִיםmosh/LIMrulersוַתִּגְבַּהּvat/tig/BAand was exaltedקוֹמָתוֹko/ma/TOits statureעַל־בֵּיןal-benamongעֲבֹתִיםa/vo/TIMthe thick branchesוַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand it was seenבְגׇבְהוֹve/gov/HOin its heightבְּרֹבbe/ROVwith the multitude ofדָּלִיֹּתָיו׃da/liy/yo/TAYVits branches

    And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.

    וַתֻּתַּשׁvat/tut/TASHbut she was plucked upבְּחֵמָהbe/che/MAin furyלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the groundהֻשְׁלָכָהhush/LA/khashe was cast downוְרוּחַve/RU/achand the windהַקָּדִיםhak/ka/DIMeastהוֹבִישׁho/VISHdried upפִּרְיָהּpir/YAits fruitהִתְפָּרְקוּhit/pa/re/KUwere broken offוְיָבֵשׁוּve/ya/VE/shuand witheredמַטֵּהmat/TEthe rod ofעֻזָּהּuz/ZAits strengthאֵשׁeshfireאֲכָלָתְהוּ׃a/kha/LAT/huconsumed it

    But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowשְׁתוּלָהshe/tu/LAshe is plantedבַמִּדְבָּרvam/mid/BARin the wildernessבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofצִיָּהtsiy/YAdryוְצָמָא׃ve/tsa/MAand thirsty

    And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.

14. 14

    וַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand has gone outאֵשׁeshfireמִמַּטֵּהmim/mat/TEfrom a rod ofבַדֶּיהָvad/DE/haher branchesפִּרְיָהּpir/YAits fruitאָכָלָהa/KHA/lahas devouredוְלֹא־הָיָהve/LO-HA/yaso that there is noבָהּvain herמַטֵּה־עֹזmat/TE-oza strong rodשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetto be a scepterלִמְשׁוֹלlim/SHOLto ruleקִינָהki/NAa lamentationהִיאhithis isוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand it shall beלְקִינָה׃le/ki/NAfor lamentation

    And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
