   The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofבֵּית־הַמֶּרִיbet-ham/ME/rithe house of rebellionאַתָּהat/TAyouיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVdwellאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimeyesלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeוְלֹאve/LOand notרָאוּra/Uthey seeאׇזְנַיִםoz/NA/yimearsלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמֵעוּsha/ME/uthey hearכִּיkiforבֵּיתbetthe house ofמְרִיme/RIrebellionהֵם׃hemthey are

   Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manעֲשֵׂהa/SEprepareלְךָle/KHAfor yourselfכְּלֵיke/LEbaggage forגוֹלָהgo/LAexileוּגְלֵהu/ge/LEand go into exileיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayלְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesוְגָלִיתָve/ga/LI/taand you shall go into exileמִמְּקוֹמְךָmim/me/kom/KHAfrom your placeאֶל־מָקוֹםel-ma/KOMto a placeאַחֵרa/CHERotherלְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיִרְאוּyir/Uthey will seeכִּיkithoughבֵּיתbetthe house ofמְרִיme/RIrebellionהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey are

   Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.

   וְהוֹצֵאתָve/ho/tse/TAand you shall bring outכֵלֶיךָkhe/LE/khayour baggageכִּכְלֵיkikh/LEas baggage forגוֹלָהgo/LAexileיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayלְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתֵּצֵאte/TSEshall go outבָעֶרֶבva/E/revin the eveningלְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesכְּמוֹצָאֵיke/mo/tsa/Eas those who go out intoגּוֹלָה׃go/LAexile

   Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.

   לְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesחֲתׇר־לְךָcha/TOR-le/KHAdig for yourselfבַקִּירvak/KIRthrough the wallוְהוֹצֵאתָve/ho/tse/TAand carry outבּוֹ׃bothrough it

   Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.

   לְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyesעַל־כָּתֵףal-ka/TEFon your shoulderתִּשָּׂאtis/SAyou shall carry itבָּעֲלָטָהba/a/la/TAin the darknessתוֹצִיאto/TSIcarry it outפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khayour faceתְכַסֶּהte/khas/SEyou shall coverוְלֹאve/LOand notתִרְאֶהtir/Eseeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe groundכִּי־מוֹפֵתki-mo/FETfor a signנְתַתִּיךָne/tat/TI/khaI have made youלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.

   וָאַעַשׂva/A/asand I didכֵּןkenthusכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצֻוֵּיתִיtsuv/VE/tiI had been commandedכֵּלַיke/LAYmy baggageהוֹצֵאתִיho/TSE/tiI brought outכִּכְלֵיkikh/LEas baggage forגוֹלָהgo/LAexileיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayוּבָעֶרֶבu/va/E/revand in the eveningחָתַרְתִּי־לִיcha/tar/TI-liI dug for myselfבַקִּירvak/KIRthrough the wallבְּיָדbe/YADwith my handבָּעֲלָטָהba/a/la/TAin the darknessהוֹצֵאתִיho/TSE/tiI brought outעַל־כָּתֵףal-ka/TEFon my shoulderנָשָׂאתִיna/SA/tiI carried itלְעֵינֵיהֶם׃le/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyes

   And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manהֲלֹאha/LOhave notאָמְרוּa/me/RUsaidאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבֵּיתbetthe house ofהַמֶּרִיham/ME/rirebellionמָהmawhatאַתָּהat/TAare youעֹשֶׂה׃o/SEdoing

   Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?

    אֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהַנָּשִׂיאhan/na/SIthe princeהַמַּשָּׂאham/mas/SAthe burdenהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְכׇל־בֵּיתve/KHOL-betand all the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁר־הֵמָּהa/SHER-HEM/mathat areבְתוֹכָם׃ve/to/KHAMamong them

    Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.

    אֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲנִיa/NIIמוֹפֶתְכֶםmo/fet/KHEMyour signכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI have doneכֵּןkenthusיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEshall be doneלָהֶםla/HEMto themבַּגּוֹלָהbag/go/LAinto exileבַשְּׁבִיvash/she/VIinto captivityיֵלֵכוּ׃ye/LE/khuthey shall go

    Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.

    וְהַנָּשִׂיאve/han/na/SIand the princeאֲשֶׁר־בְּתוֹכָםa/SHER-be/to/KHAMwho is among themאֶל־כָּתֵףel-ka/TEFon his shoulderיִשָּׂאyis/SAhe shall bearבָּעֲלָטָהba/a/la/TAin the darknessוְיֵצֵאve/ye/TSEand go outבַּקִּירbak/KIRthrough the wallיַחְתְּרוּyach/te/RUthey shall digלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring outבוֹvothrough itפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceיְכַסֶּהye/khas/SEhe shall coverיַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יִרְאֶהlo-yir/Ehe may not seeלַעַיִןla/A/yinwith his eyesהוּאhuheאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retsthe ground

    And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.

13. 13

    וּפָרַשְׂתִּיu/fa/ras/TIand I will spreadאֶת־רִשְׁתִּיet-rish/TImy netעָלָיוa/LAYVover himוְנִתְפַּשׂve/nit/PASand he shall be caughtבִּמְצוּדָתִיbim/tsu/da/TIin my snareוְהֵבֵאתִיve/he/ve/TIand I will bringאֹתוֹo/TOhimבָבֶלָהVa/VE/lato BabylonאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofכַּשְׂדִּיםkaS/DIMthe Chaldeansוְאוֹתָהּve/o/TAyet itלֹא־יִרְאֶהlo-yir/Eshall not seeוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe shall die

    My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

14. 14

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areסְבִיבֹתָיוse/vi/vo/TAYVaround himעֶזְרֹהez/ROto help himוְכׇל־אֲגַפָּיוve/KHOL-a/gap/PAYVand all his bandsאֱזָרֶהe/za/REI will scatterלְכׇל־רוּחַle/KHOL-RU/achto every windוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand a swordאָרִיקa/RIKI will drawאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃a/cha/re/HEMafter them

    And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15. 15

    וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבַּהֲפִיצִיba/ha/fi/TSIwhen I scatterאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsוְזֵרִיתִיve/ze/ri/TIand scatterאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃ba/a/ra/TSOTin the lands

    And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.

16. 16

    וְהוֹתַרְתִּיve/ho/tar/TIbut I will leaveמֵהֶםme/HEMof themאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofמִסְפָּרmis/PARnumberמֵחֶרֶבme/CHE/revfrom the swordמֵרָעָבme/ra/AVfrom the famineוּמִדָּבֶרu/mid/DA/verand from the pestilenceלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיְסַפְּרוּye/sap/pe/RUthey may recountאֶת־כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםet-kol-to/a/vo/te/HEMall their abominationsבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsאֲשֶׁר־בָּאוּa/SHER-BA/uwhere they goשָׁםshamthereוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18. 18

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manלַחְמְךָlach/me/KHAyour foodבְּרַעַשׁbe/RA/ashwith quakingתֹּאכֵלto/KHELyou shall eatוּמֵימֶיךָu/me/ME/khaand your waterבְּרׇגְזָהbe/rog/ZAwith tremblingוּבִדְאָגָהu/vid/a/GAand with anxietyתִּשְׁתֶּה׃tish/TEyou shall drink

    Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;

19. 19

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֶל־עַםel-amto the people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODלְיוֹשְׁבֵיle/yosh/VEto the inhabitants ofיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemאֶל־אַדְמַתel-ad/MATin the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלַחְמָםlach/MAMtheir breadבִּדְאָגָהbid/a/GAwith anxietyיֹאכֵלוּyo/KHE/luthey shall eatוּמֵימֵיהֶםu/me/me/HEMand their waterבְּשִׁמָּמוֹןbe/shim/ma/MONwith dismayיִשְׁתּוּyish/TUthey shall drinkלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּשַׁםte/SHAMmay be desolateאַרְצָהּar/TSAher landמִמְּלֹאָהּmim/me/lo/Aof all that is in itמֵחֲמַסme/cha/MASbecause of the violence ofכׇּל־הַיֹּשְׁבִיםkol-hay/yosh/VIMall that dwellבָּהּ׃bain it

    And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

20. 20

    וְהֶעָרִיםve/he/a/RIMand the citiesהַנּוֹשָׁבוֹתhan/no/sha/VOTthat are inhabitedתֶּחֱרַבְנָהte/che/RAV/nashall be laid wasteוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the landשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationתִהְיֶהtih/YEshall beוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

21. 21

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

22. 22

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manמָה־הַמָּשָׁלma-ham/ma/SHALwhat is the proverbהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלָכֶםla/KHEMthat you haveעַל־אַדְמַתal-ad/MATin the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingיַאַרְכוּya/ar/KHUare prolongedהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysוְאָבַדve/a/VADand perishesכׇּל־חָזוֹן׃kol-cha/ZONevery vision

    Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

23. 23

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִשְׁבַּתִּיhish/BAT/tiI will make ceaseאֶת־הַמָּשָׁלet-ham/ma/SHALthe proverbהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹא־יִמְשְׁלוּve/LO-yim/she/LUand they shall not use as a proverbאֹתוֹo/TOitעוֹדodagainבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelכִּיkibutאִם־דַּבֵּרim-dab/BERrather sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themקָרְבוּka/re/VUare nearהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysוּדְבַרu/de/VARand the word ofכׇּל־חָזוֹן׃kol-cha/ZONevery vision

    Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

24. 24

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beעוֹדodagainכׇּל־חֲזוֹןkol-cha/ZONany vision ofשָׁוְאshavfalsehoodוּמִקְסַםu/mik/SAMor divinationחָלָקcha/LAKflatteringבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

25. 25

    כִּיkibecauseאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERwill speakאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakדָּבָרda/VARwordוְיֵעָשֶׂהve/ye/a/SEit shall be doneלֹאlonotתִמָּשֵׁךְtim/ma/SHEKHshall be delayedעוֹדodagainכִּיkiforבִימֵיכֶםvi/me/KHEMin your daysבֵּיתbetthe house ofהַמֶּרִיham/ME/rirebellionאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI will speakדָּבָרda/VARa wordוַעֲשִׂיתִיוva/a/si/TIVand will perform itנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבֵית־יִשְׂרָאֵלvet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayהֶחָזוֹןhe/cha/ZONthe visionאֲשֶׁר־הוּאa/SHER-huthat heחֹזֶהcho/ZEseesלְיָמִיםle/ya/MIMis for daysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוּלְעִתִּיםu/le/it/TIMand of timesרְחוֹקוֹתre/cho/KOTdistantהוּאhuheנִבָּא׃nib/BAprophesies

    Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

28. 28

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODלֹא־תִמָּשֵׁךְlo-tim/ma/SHEKHshall not be delayedעוֹדodagainכׇּל־דְּבָרָיkol-de/va/RAYany of my wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakדָּבָרda/VARwordוְיֵעָשֶׂהve/ye/a/SEshall be doneנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
