Ezekiel 10 יְחֶזְקֵאל פרק י׳

1. 1

   וָאֶרְאֶהva/er/Eand I sawוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֶל־הָרָקִיעַel-ha/ra/KI/ain the firmamentאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasעַל־רֹאשׁal-roshover the heads ofהַכְּרֻבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimכְּאֶבֶןke/E/venlike a stone ofסַפִּירsap/PIRsapphireכְּמַרְאֵהke/mar/Eas the appearance ofדְּמוּתde/MUTthe likeness ofכִּסֵּאkis/SEa throneנִרְאָהnir/Aappearedעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMabove them

   Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָאִישׁel-ha/ISHto the manלְבֻשׁle/VUSHclothed inהַבַּדִּיםhab/bad/DIMlinenוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבֹּאbogo inאֶל־בֵּינוֹתel-be/NOTbetweenלַגַּלְגַּלlag/gal/GALthe whirling wheelsאֶל־תַּחַתel-TA/chatunderלַכְּרוּבlak/ke/RUVthe cherubוּמַלֵּאu/mal/LEand fillחׇפְנֶיךָchof/NE/khayour handsגַחֲלֵי־אֵשׁga/cha/LE-eshcoals of fireמִבֵּינוֹתmib/be/NOTfrom betweenלַכְּרֻבִיםlak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimוּזְרֹקu/ze/ROKand scatterעַל־הָעִירal-ha/IRover the cityוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he went inלְעֵינָי׃le/e/NAYin my sight

   And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.

   וְהַכְּרֻבִיםve/hak/ke/ru/VIMand the cherubimעֹמְדִיםom/DIMwere standingמִימִיןmi/MINon the right side ofלַבַּיִתlab/BA/yitthe houseבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen went inהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manוְהֶעָנָןve/he/a/NANand the cloudמָלֵאma/LEfilledאֶת־הֶחָצֵרet-he/cha/TSERthe courtהַפְּנִימִית׃hap/pe/ni/MITthe inner

   Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

   וַיָּרׇםvay/YA/romand went upכְּבוֹד־יְהֹוָהke/VOD-Adonaithe glory of the LORDמֵעַלme/ALfromהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubעַלaltoמִפְתַּןmif/TANthe threshold ofהַבָּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseוַיִּמָּלֵאvay/yim/ma/LEand was filledהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseאֶת־הֶעָנָןet-he/a/NANwith the cloudוְהֶחָצֵרve/he/cha/TSERand the courtמָלְאָהma/le/Awas filled withאֶת־נֹגַהּet-NO/gathe brightness ofכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.

   וְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofכַּנְפֵיkan/FEwings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimנִשְׁמַעnish/MAwas heardעַד־הֶחָצֵרad-he/cha/TSERas far as the courtהַחִיצֹנָהha/chi/tso/NAouterכְּקוֹלke/KOLlike the voice ofאֵל־שַׁדַּיel-Shad/DAYGod Almightyבְּדַבְּרוֹ׃be/dab/be/ROwhen He speaks

   And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּצַוֺּתוֹbe/tsav/vo/TOwhen He commandedאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manלְבֻשׁ־הַבַּדִּיםle/VUSH-hab/bad/DIMclothed in linenלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingקַחkachtakeאֵשׁeshfireמִבֵּינוֹתmib/be/NOTfrom betweenלַגַּלְגַּלlag/gal/GALthe whirling wheelsמִבֵּינוֹתmib/be/NOTfrom betweenלַכְּרוּבִיםlak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOthen he went inוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהָאוֹפָן׃ha/o/FANthe wheel

   And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.

   וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand stretched outהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubאֶת־יָדוֹet-ya/DOhis handמִבֵּינוֹתmib/be/NOTfrom betweenלַכְּרוּבִיםlak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHto the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבֵּינוֹתbe/NOTbetweenהַכְּרֻבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimוַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand tookוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand putאֶל־חׇפְנֵיel-chof/NEinto the hands ofלְבֻשׁle/VUSHhim clothed inהַבַּדִּיםhab/bad/DIMlinenוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookוַיֵּצֵא׃vay/ye/TSEand went out

   And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.

   וַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand there appearedלַכְּרֻבִיםlak/ke/ru/VIMin the cherubimתַּבְנִיתtav/NITthe form ofיַד־אָדָםyad-a/DAMa man’s handתַּחַתTA/chatunderכַּנְפֵיהֶם׃kan/fe/HEMtheir wings

   And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.

   וָאֶרְאֶהva/er/Eand I sawוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourאוֹפַנִּיםo/fan/NIMwheelsאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimאוֹפַןo/FANa wheelאֶחָדe/CHADoneאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְאוֹפַןve/o/FANand a wheelאֶחָדe/CHADoneאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubאֶחָדe/CHADoneוּמַרְאֵהu/mar/Eand the appearance ofהָאוֹפַנִּיםha/o/fan/NIMthe wheelsכְּעֵיןke/ENlike the gleam ofאֶבֶןE/vena stone ofתַּרְשִׁישׁ׃tar/SHISHberyl

   And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.

    וּמַרְאֵיהֶםu/mar/e/HEMand their appearanceדְּמוּתde/MUTa likenessאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְאַרְבַּעְתָּםle/ar/ba/TAMthe four hadכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִהְיֶהyih/YEwereהָאוֹפַןha/o/FANthe wheelבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHwithinהָאוֹפָן׃ha/o/FANthe wheel

    And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.

    בְּלֶכְתָּםbe/lekh/TAMwhen they wentאֶל־אַרְבַּעַתel-ar/BA/aton their fourרִבְעֵיהֶםriv/e/HEMtheir sidesיֵלֵכוּye/LE/khuthey wentלֹאlonotיִסַּבּוּyis/SAB/buthey turnedבְּלֶכְתָּםbe/lekh/TAMwhen they wentכִּיkibutהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁר־יִפְנֶהa/SHER-yif/NEwhere turnedהָרֹאשׁha/ROSHthe headאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter itיֵלֵכוּye/LE/khuthey wentלֹאlonotיִסַּבּוּyis/SAB/buthey turnedבְּלֶכְתָּם׃be/lekh/TAMwhen they went

    When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.

    וְכׇל־בְּשָׂרָםve/KHOL-be/sa/RAMand all their fleshוְגַבֵּהֶםve/gab/be/HEMand their backsוִידֵיהֶםvi/de/HEMand their handsוְכַנְפֵיהֶםve/khan/fe/HEMand their wingsוְהָאוֹפַנִּיםve/ha/o/fan/NIMand the wheelsמְלֵאִיםme/le/IMwere fullעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimof eyesסָבִיבsa/VIVall aroundלְאַרְבַּעְתָּםle/ar/ba/TAMthe four hadאוֹפַנֵּיהֶם׃o/fan/ne/HEMtheir wheels

    And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.

13. 13

    לָאוֹפַנִּיםla/o/fan/NIMas for the wheelsלָהֶםla/HEMtheyקוֹרָאko/RAwere calledהַגַּלְגַּלhag/gal/GALthe whirling wheelsבְּאׇזְנָי׃be/oz/NAYin my ears

    As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.

14. 14

    וְאַרְבָּעָהve/ar/ba/Aand fourפָנִיםfa/NIMfacesלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADeach hadפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe firstפְּנֵיpe/NEwas the face ofהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubוּפְנֵיu/fe/NEand the face ofהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondפְּנֵיpe/NEwas the face ofאָדָםa/DAMa manוְהַשְּׁלִישִׁיve/hash/she/li/SHIand the thirdפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofאַרְיֵהar/YEa lionוְהָרְבִיעִיve/ha/re/vi/Iand the fourthפְּנֵי־נָשֶׁר׃pe/NE-NA/sherthe face of an eagle

    And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

15. 15

    וַיֵּרֹמּוּvay/ye/ROM/muand rose upהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimהִיאhithat wasהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe living creatureאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawבִּנְהַר־כְּבָר׃bin/HAR-Ke/VARby the river Chebar

    And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.

16. 16

    וּבְלֶכֶתu/ve/LE/khetand when wentהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimיֵלְכוּyel/KHUwentהָאוֹפַנִּיםha/o/fan/NIMthe wheelsאֶצְלָםets/LAMbeside themוּבִשְׂאֵתu/vis/ETand when liftedהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimאֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶםet-kan/fe/HEMtheir wingsלָרוּםla/RUMto mount upמֵעַלme/ALfromהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלֹא־יִסַּבּוּlo-yis/SAB/budid not turnהָאוֹפַנִּיםha/o/fan/NIMthe wheelsגַּם־הֵםgam-hemalso theyמֵאֶצְלָם׃me/ets/LAMfrom beside them

    And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.

17. 17

    בְּעׇמְדָםbe/om/DAMwhen they stoodיַעֲמֹדוּya/a/MO/duthese stoodוּבְרוֹמָםu/ve/ro/MAMand when they roseיֵרוֹמּוּye/ROM/muthese roseאוֹתָםo/TAMwith themכִּיkiforרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe living creatureבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMin them

    When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

18. 18

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמֵעַלme/ALfromמִפְתַּןmif/TANthe threshold ofהַבָּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodעַל־הַכְּרוּבִים׃al-hak/ke/ru/VIMover the cherubim

    Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.

19. 19

    וַיִּשְׂאוּvay/yis/Uand lifted upהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimאֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶםet-kan/fe/HEMtheir wingsוַיֵּרוֹמּוּvay/ye/ROM/muand they roseמִן־הָאָרֶץmin-ha/A/retsfrom the earthלְעֵינַיle/e/NAYbefore my eyesבְּצֵאתָםbe/tse/TAMwhen they went outוְהָאוֹפַנִּיםve/ha/o/fan/NIMand the wheelsלְעֻמָּתָםle/um/ma/TAMbeside themוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand it stoodפֶּתַחPE/tachat the entrance ofשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDהַקַּדְמוֹנִיhak/kad/mo/NIeastוּכְבוֹדu/khe/VODand the glory ofאֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלe/lo/HE-Yis/ra/ELthe God of Israelעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMwas over themמִלְמָעְלָה׃mil/MA/laabove

    And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

20. 20

    הִיאhithis wasהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe living creatureאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawתַּחַתTA/chatunderאֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלe/lo/HE-Yis/ra/ELthe God of Israelבִּנְהַר־כְּבָרbin/HAR-Ke/VARby the river Chebarוָאֵדַעva/e/DAand I knewכִּיkithatכְרוּבִיםkhe/ru/VIMcherubimהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey were

    This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.

    אַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourפָנִיםfa/NIMfacesלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADeach hadוְאַרְבַּעve/ar/BAand fourכְּנָפַיִםke/na/FA/yimwingsלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADeach hadוּדְמוּתu/de/MUTand the likeness ofיְדֵיye/DEthe hands ofאָדָםa/DAMa manתַּחַתTA/chatunderכַּנְפֵיהֶם׃kan/fe/HEMtheir wings

    Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

22. 22

    וּדְמוּתu/de/MUTand the likeness ofפְּנֵיהֶםpe/ne/HEMtheir facesהֵמָּהHEM/mawereהַפָּנִיםhap/pa/NIMthe facesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawעַל־נְהַר־כְּבָרal-Ne/HAR-ke/VARby the river Chebarמַרְאֵיהֶםmar/e/HEMtheir appearanceוְאוֹתָםve/o/TAMand themselvesאִישׁisheachאֶל־עֵבֶרel-E/vertoward the side ofפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceיֵלֵכוּ׃ye/LE/khuthey went

    And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
