Ezekiel 10 יְחֶזְקֵאל פרק י׳

1. 1

   וָאֶרְאֶהand I sawוְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶל־הָרָקִיעַto the firmamentאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־רֹאשׁupon the head ofהַכְּרֻבִיםthe cherubimכְּאֶבֶןlike a stone ofסַפִּירa sapphireכְּמַרְאֵהas the appearance ofדְּמוּתlikeness ofכִּסֵּאthroneנִרְאָהappearedעֲלֵיהֶם׃upon them

   Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֶל־הָאִישׁto the manלְבֻשׁclothed ofהַבַּדִּיםthe linenוַיֹּאמֶרand saidבֹּאcomeאֶל־בֵּינוֹתto betweenלַגַּלְגַּלthe wheelאֶל־תַּחַתto underלַכְּרוּבthe cherubוּמַלֵּאand fillחׇפְנֶיךָyour cupped handsגַחֲלֵי־אֵשׁcoals of fireמִבֵּינוֹתfrom betweenלַכְּרֻבִיםthe cherubimוּזְרֹקand scatter themעַל־הָעִירupon the cityוַיָּבֹאand cameלְעֵינָי׃in my sight

   And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.

3. 3

   וְהַכְּרֻבִיםand the cherubimעֹמְדִיםstandingמִימִיןfrom the right ofלַבַּיִתfor the houseבְּבֹאוֹwhen he goes inהָאִישׁthe manוְהֶעָנָןand the cloudמָלֵאfilledאֶת־הֶחָצֵרthe courtyardהַפְּנִימִית׃the inner

   Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

   וַיָּרׇםand it roseכְּבוֹד־יְהֹוָהthe glory of the LORDמֵעַלfrom uponהַכְּרוּבthe cherubעַלuponמִפְתַּןthe threshold ofהַבָּיִתthe houseוַיִּמָּלֵאand was filledהַבַּיִתthe houseאֶת־הֶעָנָןthe cloudוְהֶחָצֵרand the courtמָלְאָהwas full ofאֶת־נֹגַהּthe brightness ofכְּבוֹדthe glory ofיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

   Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.

5. 5

   וְקוֹלand the sound ofכַּנְפֵיwings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimנִשְׁמַעwas heardעַד־הֶחָצֵרuntil the courtyardהַחִיצֹנָהthe externalכְּקוֹלas the voice ofאֵל־שַׁדַּיGod-Almightyבְּדַבְּרוֹ׃when he speaks

   And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.

6. 6

   וַיְהִיand it came to passבְּצַוֺּתוֹwhen he commandedאֶת־הָאִישׁthe manלְבֻשׁ־הַבַּדִּיםclothed of the linenלֵאמֹרsayingקַחtakeאֵשׁfireמִבֵּינוֹתfrom betweenלַגַּלְגַּלthe wheelמִבֵּינוֹתfrom betweenלַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimוַיָּבֹאand cameוַיַּעֲמֹדand stoodאֵצֶלnearהָאוֹפָן׃the wheel

   And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.

7. 7

   וַיִּשְׁלַחand he put forthהַכְּרוּבthe cherubאֶת־יָדוֹhis handמִבֵּינוֹתfrom betweenלַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimאֶל־הָאֵשׁto the fireאֲשֶׁרwhichבֵּינוֹתbetweenהַכְּרֻבִיםthe cherubimוַיִּשָּׂאand tookוַיִּתֵּןand gaveאֶל־חׇפְנֵיto the cupped hands ofלְבֻשׁclothed ofהַבַּדִּיםthe linenוַיִּקַּחand tookוַיֵּצֵא׃and went out

   And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.

8. 8

   וַיֵּרָאand appearedלַכְּרֻבִיםthe cherubimתַּבְנִיתthe pattern ofיַד־אָדָםhand of manתַּחַתunderכַּנְפֵיהֶם׃their wings

   And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.

9. 9

   וָאֶרְאֶהand I sawוְהִנֵּהand beholdאַרְבָּעָהfourאוֹפַנִּיםwheelsאֵצֶלnearהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimאוֹפַןwheel ofאֶחָדoneאֵצֶלnearהַכְּרוּבthe cherubאֶחָדoneוְאוֹפַןand a wheel ofאֶחָדoneאֵצֶלnearהַכְּרוּבthe cherubאֶחָדoneוּמַרְאֵהand the appearance ofהָאוֹפַנִּיםthe wheelsכְּעֵיןlike the appearance ofאֶבֶןstoneתַּרְשִׁישׁ׃emerald

   And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.

10. 10

    וּמַרְאֵיהֶםand their appearanceדְּמוּתlikeness ofאֶחָדoneלְאַרְבַּעְתָּםto the four of themכַּאֲשֶׁרasיִהְיֶהshall beהָאוֹפַןthe wheelבְּתוֹךְin the midst ofהָאוֹפָן׃the wheel

    And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.

    בְּלֶכְתָּםwhen they wentאֶל־אַרְבַּעַתto four ofרִבְעֵיהֶםtheir sidesיֵלֵכוּthey wentלֹאnotיִסַּבּוּthey turnedבְּלֶכְתָּםwhen they wentכִּיbecauseהַמָּקוֹםthe placeאֲשֶׁר־יִפְנֶהwhich it will turn awayהָרֹאשׁthe headאַחֲרָיוafter itיֵלֵכוּthey wentלֹאnotיִסַּבּוּthey turnedבְּלֶכְתָּם׃when they went

    When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.

    וְכׇל־בְּשָׂרָםand all their fleshוְגַבֵּהֶםand their backsוִידֵיהֶםand their handsוְכַנְפֵיהֶםand their wingsוְהָאוֹפַנִּיםand the wheelsמְלֵאִיםare fullעֵינַיִםof eyesסָבִיבall aroundלְאַרְבַּעְתָּםto the four of themאוֹפַנֵּיהֶם׃their wheels

    And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.

13. 13

    לָאוֹפַנִּיםto the wheelsלָהֶםto themקוֹרָאwas calledהַגַּלְגַּלthe wheelworkבְּאׇזְנָי׃in my ears

    As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.

14. 14

    וְאַרְבָּעָהand fourפָנִיםfacesלְאֶחָדinto oneפְּנֵיface ofהָאֶחָדthe oneפְּנֵיface ofהַכְּרוּבthe cherubוּפְנֵיand the face ofהַשֵּׁנִיthe secondפְּנֵיface ofאָדָםmanוְהַשְּׁלִישִׁיand the third faceפְּנֵיface ofאַרְיֵהa lionוְהָרְבִיעִיand was the fourthפְּנֵי־נָשֶׁר׃face of an eagle

    And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

15. 15

    וַיֵּרֹמּוּand they roseהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimהִיאit isהַחַיָּהthe livingאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתִיI sawבִּנְהַר־כְּבָר׃at the river Chebar

    And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.

16. 16

    וּבְלֶכֶתand when movedהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimיֵלְכוּthey should travelהָאוֹפַנִּיםthe wheelsאֶצְלָםbeside themוּבִשְׂאֵתand when lifted upהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimאֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶםtheir wingsלָרוּםfor heightמֵעַלfrom uponהָאָרֶץthe earthלֹא־יִסַּבּוּnot they turnedהָאוֹפַנִּיםthe wheelsגַּם־הֵםalso theyמֵאֶצְלָם׃from beside them

    And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.

17. 17

    בְּעׇמְדָםwhen they stoodיַעֲמֹדוּthey standוּבְרוֹמָםand when they roseיֵרוֹמּוּthey roseאוֹתָםthemכִּיforרוּחַthe spirit ofהַחַיָּהthe livingבָּהֶם׃in them

    When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

18. 18

    וַיֵּצֵאand went outכְּבוֹדthe glory ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמֵעַלfrom uponמִפְתַּןthe threshold ofהַבָּיִתthe houseוַיַּעֲמֹדand stoodעַל־הַכְּרוּבִים׃upon the cherubim

    Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.

19. 19

    וַיִּשְׂאוּand liftedהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimאֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶםtheir wingsוַיֵּרוֹמּוּand they roseמִן־הָאָרֶץfrom the landלְעֵינַיto my mindבְּצֵאתָםwhen they came outוְהָאוֹפַנִּיםand the wheelsלְעֻמָּתָםclose by themוַיַּעֲמֹדand stoodפֶּתַחdoor ofשַׁעַרthe gate ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהthe house of the LORDהַקַּדְמוֹנִיthe oldוּכְבוֹדand glory ofאֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלGod of Israelעֲלֵיהֶםupon themמִלְמָעְלָה׃from above

    And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

20. 20

    הִיאit isהַחַיָּהthe livingאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתִיI sawתַּחַתunderאֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלGod of Israelבִּנְהַר־כְּבָרat the river Chebarוָאֵדַעand having had a knowledge ofכִּיthatכְרוּבִיםcherubimהֵמָּה׃they

    This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.

21. 21

    אַרְבָּעָהfourאַרְבָּעָהfourפָנִיםfacesלְאֶחָדinto oneוְאַרְבַּעand fourכְּנָפַיִםwingsלְאֶחָדinto oneוּדְמוּתand the likeness ofיְדֵיhands ofאָדָםmanתַּחַתunderכַּנְפֵיהֶם׃their wings

    Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

22. 22

    וּדְמוּתand the likeness ofפְּנֵיהֶםtheir facesהֵמָּהtheyהַפָּנִיםthe presenceאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתִיI sawעַל־נְהַר־כְּבָרupon the river Chebarמַרְאֵיהֶםtheir appearanceוְאוֹתָםand themאִישׁa manאֶל־עֵבֶרto sideפָּנָיוits faceיֵלֵכוּ׃they went

    And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
