1. 1

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesרְאֵהre/Eseeנְתַתִּיךָne/tat/TI/khaI have made youאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְפַרְעֹהle/Far/Oto Pharaohוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beנְבִיאֶךָ׃ne/vi/E/khayour prophet

   And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

   אַתָּהat/TAyouתְדַבֵּרte/dab/BERshall speakאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatאֲצַוֶּךָּa/tsav/VEK/kaI command youוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERshall speakאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוְשִׁלַּחve/shil/LACHthat he let goאֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Be/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelמֵאַרְצוֹ׃me/ar/TSOout of his land

   Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.

3. 3

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאַקְשֶׁהak/SHEwill hardenאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heart ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְהִרְבֵּיתִיve/hir/be/TIand multiplyאֶת־אֹתֹתַיet-o/to/TAYmy signsוְאֶת־מוֹפְתַיve/ET-mof/TAYand my wondersבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

   וְלֹא־יִשְׁמַעve/LO-yish/MAbut shall not hearkenאֲלֵכֶםa/le/KHEMto youפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIthat I may layאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimupon Egyptוְהוֹצֵאתִיve/ho/tse/TIand bring outאֶת־צִבְאֹתַיet-tsiv/o/TAYmy hostsאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבִּשְׁפָטִיםbish/fa/TIMwith judgmentsגְּדֹלִים׃ge/do/LIMgreat

   But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

   וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּנְטֹתִיbin/to/TIwhen I stretch outאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handעַל־מִצְרָיִםal-Mits/RA/yimupon Egyptוְהוֹצֵאתִיve/ho/tse/TIand bring outאֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Be/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelמִתּוֹכָם׃mit/to/KHAMfrom among them

   And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

   וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתָםo/TAMthemכֵּןkensoעָשׂוּ׃a/SUthey did

   And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.

   וּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesבֶּן־שְׁמֹנִיםben-she/mo/NIMa son of eightyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronבֶּן־שָׁלֹשׁben-sha/LOSHa son of threeוּשְׁמֹנִיםu/she/mo/NIMand eightyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsבְּדַבְּרָםbe/dab/be/RAMwhen they spokeאֶל־פַּרְעֹה׃el-Par/Oto Pharaoh

   And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוְאֶל־אַהֲרֹןve/EL-a/ha/RONand to Aaronלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

   כִּיkiwhenיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERshall speakאֲלֵכֶםa/le/KHEMto youפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingתְּנוּte/NUshowלָכֶםla/KHEMfor yourselvesמוֹפֵתmo/FETa wonderוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAthen you shall sayאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronקַחkachtakeאֶת־מַטְּךָet-mat/te/KHAyour staffוְהַשְׁלֵךְve/hash/LEKHand cast itלִפְנֵי־פַרְעֹהlif/NE-Far/Obefore Pharaohיְהִיye/HIit shall becomeלְתַנִּין׃le/tan/NINa serpent

   When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand went inמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand they didכֵןkhensoכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיַּשְׁלֵךְvay/yash/LEKHand castאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־מַטֵּהוּet-mat/TE/huhis staffלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsוַיְהִיvay/HIand it becameלְתַנִּין׃le/tan/NINa serpent

    And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledגַּם־פַּרְעֹהGam-par/OPharaoh alsoלַחֲכָמִיםla/cha/kha/MIMthe wise menוְלַמְכַשְּׁפִיםve/lam/khash/she/FIMand the sorcerersוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand didגַם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoחַרְטֻמֵּיchar/tum/MEthe magicians ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבְּלַהֲטֵיהֶםbe/la/ha/te/HEMwith their enchantmentsכֵּן׃kenin like manner

    Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

12. 12

    וַיַּשְׁלִיכוּvay/yash/LI/khuand they castאִישׁishevery manמַטֵּהוּmat/TE/huhis staffוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they becameלְתַנִּינִםle/tan/ni/NIMserpentsוַיִּבְלַעvay/yiv/LAand it swallowed upמַטֵּה־אַהֲרֹןMat/TE-a/ha/RONAaron's staffאֶת־מַטֹּתָם׃et-mat/to/TAMtheir staffs

    For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

13. 13

    וַיֶּחֱזַקvay/ye/che/ZAKand was hardenedלֵבlevthe heart ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמַעsha/MAhe hearkenedאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERhad saidיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesכָּבֵדka/VEDis hardenedלֵבlevthe heart ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohמֵאֵןme/ENhe refusesלְשַׁלַּחle/shal/LACHto let goהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.

15. 15

    לֵךְlekhgoאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיֹצֵאyo/TSEgoes outהַמַּיְמָהham/MAY/mato the waterוְנִצַּבְתָּve/nits/tsav/TAand you shall standלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himעַל־שְׂפַתal-se/FATby the brink ofהַיְאֹרHay/ORthe Nileוְהַמַּטֶּהve/ham/mat/TEand the staffאֲשֶׁר־נֶהְפַּךְa/SHER-neh/PAKHwhich was turnedלְנָחָשׁle/na/CHASHto a serpentתִּקַּחtik/KACHyou shall takeבְּיָדֶךָ׃be/ya/DE/khain your hand

    Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.

16. 16

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand you shall sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהָעִבְרִיםha/Iv/RIMthe Hebrewsשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nihas sent meאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingשַׁלַּחshal/LACHlet goאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleוְיַעַבְדֻנִיve/ya/av/DU/nithat they may serve meבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdלֹא־שָׁמַעְתָּlo-sha/MA/tayou have not hearkenedעַד־כֹּה׃ad-kohitherto

    And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.

17. 17

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּזֹאתbe/ZOTby thisתֵּדַעte/DAyou shall knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמַכֶּהmak/KEwill smiteבַּמַּטֶּהbam/mat/TEwith the staffאֲשֶׁר־בְּיָדִיa/SHER-be/ya/DIthat is in my handעַל־הַמַּיִםal-ham/MA/yimupon the watersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבַּיְאֹרBay/ORare in the Nileוְנֶהֶפְכוּve/ne/hef/KHUand they shall be turnedלְדָם׃le/DAMto blood

    Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

18. 18

    וְהַדָּגָהve/had/da/GAand the fishאֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹרa/SHER-Bay/ORthat is in the Nileתָּמוּתta/MUTshall dieוּבָאַשׁu/va/ASHand shall stinkהַיְאֹרHay/ORthe Nileוְנִלְאוּve/nil/Uand shall loatheמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkמַיִםMA/yimwaterמִן־הַיְאֹר׃min-Hay/ORof the Nile

    And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.

19. 19

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronקַחkachtakeמַטְּךָmat/te/KHAyour staffוּנְטֵה־יָדְךָu/ne/TE-ya/de/KHAand stretch out your handעַל־מֵימֵיal-me/MEupon the waters ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptעַל־נַהֲרֹתָםal-na/ha/ro/TAMupon their streamsעַל־יְאֹרֵיהֶםal-ye/o/re/HEMupon their canalsוְעַל־אַגְמֵיהֶםve/AL-ag/me/HEMand upon their poolsוְעַלve/ALand uponכׇּל־מִקְוֵהkol-mik/VEevery gathering ofמֵימֵיהֶםme/me/HEMtheir watersוְיִהְיוּ־דָםve/yih/YU-damthat they may become bloodוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand there shall beדָםdambloodבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsthroughout all the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוּבָעֵצִיםu/va/e/TSIMboth in woodוּבָאֲבָנִים׃u/va/a/va/NIMand in stone

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

20. 20

    וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵןvay/ya/a/SU-khenand did soמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיָּרֶםvay/YA/remand he lifted upבַּמַּטֶּהbam/mat/TEthe staffוַיַּךְvay/YAKHand smoteאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe watersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבַּיְאֹרBay/ORwere in the Nileלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohוּלְעֵינֵיu/le/e/NEand in the sight ofעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsוַיֵּהָפְכוּvay/ye/ha/fe/KHUand were turnedכׇּל־הַמַּיִםkol-ham/MA/yimall the watersאֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹרa/SHER-Bay/ORthat were in the Nileלְדָם׃le/DAMto blood

    And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

21. 21

    וְהַדָּגָהve/had/da/GAand the fishאֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹרa/SHER-Bay/ORwhich was in the NileמֵתָהME/tadiedוַיִּבְאַשׁvay/yiv/ASHand stankהַיְאֹרHay/ORthe Nileוְלֹא־יָכְלוּve/LO-ya/khe/LUand could notמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkמַיִםMA/yimwaterמִן־הַיְאֹרmin-Hay/ORof the Nileוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasהַדָּםhad/DAMthe bloodבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsthroughout all the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

22. 22

    וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵןvay/ya/a/SU-khenand did soחַרְטֻמֵּיchar/tum/MEthe magicians ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבְּלָטֵיהֶםbe/la/te/HEMwith their enchantmentsוַיֶּחֱזַקvay/ye/che/ZAKand was hardenedלֵב־פַּרְעֹהLev-par/OPharaoh's heartוְלֹא־שָׁמַעve/LO-sha/MAand he hearkened notאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERhad saidיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.

23. 23

    וַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand turnedפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand wentאֶל־בֵּיתוֹel-be/TOto his houseוְלֹא־שָׁתve/LO-shatand he did not setלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartגַּם־לָזֹאת׃gam-la/ZOTto this also

    And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.

24. 24

    וַיַּחְפְּרוּvay/yach/pe/RUand they dugכׇל־מִצְרַיִםkhol-Mits/RA/yimall Egyptסְבִיבֹתse/vi/VOTround aboutהַיְאֹרHay/ORthe NileמַיִםMA/yimfor waterלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkכִּיkiforלֹאlonotיָכְלוּya/khe/LUcould theyלִשְׁתֹּתlish/TOTdrinkמִמֵּימֵיmim/me/MEof the water ofהַיְאֹר׃Hay/ORthe Nile

    And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.

25. 25

    וַיִּמָּלֵאvay/yim/ma/LEand were fulfilledשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַכּוֹת־יְהֹוָהhak/KOT-Adonaithe LORD had smittenאֶת־הַיְאֹר׃et-Hay/ORthe Nile

    And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.

26. 26

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesבֹּאbogo inאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשַׁלַּחshal/LACHlet goאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleוְיַעַבְדֻנִי׃ve/ya/av/DU/nithat they may serve me

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

27. 27

    וְאִם־מָאֵןve/IM-ma/ENand if refuseאַתָּהat/TAyouלְשַׁלֵּחַle/shal/LE/achto let them goהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIנֹגֵףno/GEFwill smiteאֶת־כׇּל־גְּבוּלְךָet-kol-ge/vul/KHAall your bordersבַּצְפַרְדְּעִים׃bats/far/de/IMwith frogs

    And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

28. 28

    וְשָׁרַץve/sha/RATSand shall swarmהַיְאֹרHay/ORthe Nileצְפַרְדְּעִיםtse/far/de/IMfrogsוְעָלוּve/a/LUwhich shall go upוּבָאוּu/VA/uand comeבְּבֵיתֶךָbe/ve/TE/khainto your houseוּבַחֲדַרu/va/cha/DARand into the chamber ofמִשְׁכָּבְךָmish/ka/ve/KHAyour bedוְעַל־מִטָּתֶךָve/AL-mit/ta/TE/khaand upon your bedוּבְבֵיתu/ve/VETand into the house ofעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsוּבְעַמֶּךָu/ve/am/ME/khaand upon your peopleוּבְתַנּוּרֶיךָu/ve/tan/nu/RE/khaand into your ovensוּבְמִשְׁאֲרוֹתֶיךָ׃u/ve/mish/a/ro/TE/khaand into your kneading troughs

    And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:

29. 29

    וּבְכָהu/ve/KHAand upon youוּבְעַמְּךָu/ve/am/me/KHAand upon your peopleוּבְכׇל־עֲבָדֶיךָu/ve/KHOL-a/va/DE/khaand upon all your servantsיַעֲלוּya/a/LUshall come upהַצְפַרְדְּעִים׃hats/far/de/IMthe frogs

    And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
