   And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

   וְשָׁלַחְתִּיve/sha/lach/TIand I will sendלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youמַלְאָךְmal/AKHan angelוְגֵרַשְׁתִּיve/ge/rash/TIand I will drive outאֶת־הַכְּנַעֲנִיet-Hak/ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoriteוְהַחִתִּיve/ha/Chit/TIand the Hittiteוְהַפְּרִזִּיve/hap/Pe/riz/ZIand the Perizziteהַחִוִּיha/Chiv/VIthe Hiviteוְהַיְבוּסִי׃Ve/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusite

   And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

   אֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto a landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבָשׁu/de/VASHand honeyכִּיkiforלֹאlonotאֶעֱלֶהe/e/LEwill I go upבְּקִרְבְּךָbe/kir/be/KHAin your midstכִּיkiforעַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹרֶףam-ke/SHE-O/refa stiff-necked peopleאַתָּהat/TAyou areפֶּן־אֲכֶלְךָpen-a/khel/KHAlest I consume youבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhby the way

   Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

   וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordהָרָעha/RAevilהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיִּתְאַבָּלוּvay/yit/ab/BA/luthey mournedוְלֹא־שָׁתוּve/LO-SHA/tuand did not put onאִישׁishany manעֶדְיוֹed/YOhis ornamentsעָלָיו׃a/LAYVon him

   And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלel-Be/NE-yis/ra/ELto the children of Israelאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areעַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹרֶףam-ke/SHE-O/refa stiff-necked peopleרֶגַעRE/gaa momentאֶחָדe/CHADoneאֶעֱלֶהe/e/LEif I go upבְקִרְבְּךָve/kir/be/KHAinto your midstוְכִלִּיתִיךָve/khil/li/TI/khaI would consume youוְעַתָּהve/at/TAtherefore nowהוֹרֵדho/REDput offעֶדְיְךָed/ye/KHAyour ornamentsמֵעָלֶיךָme/a/LE/khafrom youוְאֵדְעָהve/ed/Athat I may knowמָהmawhatאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְ׃e/e/SE-lakhI shall do to you

   For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

   וַיִּתְנַצְּלוּvay/yit/nats/tse/LUand stripped themselves ofבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelאֶת־עֶדְיָםet-ed/YAMtheir ornamentsמֵהַרme/HARfrom mountחוֹרֵב׃Cho/REVHoreb

   And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

   וּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesיִקַּחyik/KACHwould takeאֶת־הָאֹהֶלet-ha/O/helthe tentוְנָטָה־לוֹve/na/TA-loand pitch itמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campהַרְחֵקhar/CHEKafar offמִן־הַמַּחֲנֶהmin-ham/ma/cha/NEfrom the campוְקָרָאve/ka/RAand he calledלוֹloitאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it came to passכׇּל־מְבַקֵּשׁkol-me/vak/KESHeveryone who soughtיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיֵצֵאye/TSEwent outאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wasמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶה׃lam/ma/cha/NEthe camp

   And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it came to passכְּצֵאתke/TSETwhen went outמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־הָאֹהֶלel-ha/O/helto the tentיָקוּמוּya/KU/murose upכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleוְנִצְּבוּve/nits/tse/VUand stoodאִישׁishevery manפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofאׇהֳלוֹo/ho/LOhis tentוְהִבִּיטוּve/hib/BI/tuand gazedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעַד־בֹּאוֹad-bo/Ountil he had goneהָאֹהֱלָה׃ha/O/he/lainto the tent

   And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it came to passכְּבֹאke/VOas enteredמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesהָאֹהֱלָהha/O/he/lainto the tentיֵרֵדye/REDdescendedעַמּוּדam/MUDthe pillar ofהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudוְעָמַדve/a/MADand stoodפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוְדִבֶּרve/dib/BERand He talkedעִם־מֹשֶׁה׃im-Mo/SHEwith Moses

   And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

    וְרָאָהve/ra/Aand sawכׇל־הָעָםkhol-ha/AMall the peopleאֶת־עַמּוּדet-am/MUDthe pillar ofהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudעֹמֵדo/MEDstandingפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentוְקָםve/KAMand rose upכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleוְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּve/hish/ta/cha/VUand worshipedאִישׁishevery manפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofאׇהֳלוֹ׃o/ho/LOhis tent

    And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

    וְדִבֶּרve/dib/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesפָּנִיםpa/NIMfaceאֶל־פָּנִיםel-pa/NIMto faceכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERspeaksאִישׁisha manאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huto his friendוְשָׁבve/SHAVand he returnedאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶהel-ham/ma/cha/NEto the campוּמְשׇׁרְתוֹu/me/shor/TObut his ministerיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבִּן־נוּןbin-Nunthe son of NunנַעַרNA/ara young manלֹאlonotיָמִישׁya/MISHdepartedמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהָאֹהֶל׃ha/O/helthe tent

    And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDרְאֵהre/Eseeאַתָּהat/TAYouאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֵלַיe/LAYto meהַעַלHA/albring upאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאַתָּהve/at/TAbut Youלֹאlonotהוֹדַעְתַּנִיho/da/TA/nihave let me knowאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־תִּשְׁלַחet-a/SHER-tish/LACHwhom You will sendעִמִּיim/MIwith meוְאַתָּהve/at/TAyet Youאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tahave saidיְדַעְתִּיךָye/da/TI/khaI know youבְשֵׁםve/SHEMby nameוְגַם־מָצָאתָve/GAM-ma/TSA/taand you have also foundחֵןchengraceבְּעֵינָי׃be/e/NAYin my sight

    And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאִם־נָאim-naif I prayמָצָאתִיma/TSA/tiI have foundחֵןchengraceבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain Your sightהוֹדִעֵנִיho/di/E/nishow meנָאnaI prayאֶת־דְּרָכֶךָet-de/ra/KHE/khaYour wayוְאֵדָעֲךָve/e/da/a/KHAthat I may know Youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶמְצָא־חֵןem/TSA-chenI may find graceבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain Your sightוּרְאֵהu/re/Eand considerכִּיkithatעַמְּךָam/me/KHAis Your peopleהַגּוֹיhag/GOYthe nationהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidפָּנַיpa/NAYmy presenceיֵלֵכוּye/LE/khushall goוַהֲנִחֹתִיva/ha/ni/cho/TIand I will give restלָךְ׃lakhto you

    And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאִם־אֵיןim-enif notפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khaYour presenceהֹלְכִיםhol/KHIMgoאַל־תַּעֲלֵנוּal-ta/a/LE/nucarry us not upמִזֶּה׃miz/ZEhence

    And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16. 16

    וּבַמֶּהu/vam/MEfor whereinיִוָּדַעyiv/va/DAshall it be knownאֵפוֹאe/FOhereכִּי־מָצָאתִיki-ma/TSA/tithat I have foundחֵןchengraceבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain Your sightאֲנִיa/NIIוְעַמֶּךָve/am/ME/khaand Your peopleהֲלוֹאha/LOis it notבְּלֶכְתְּךָbe/lekh/te/KHAin that You goעִמָּנוּim/MA/nuwith usוְנִפְלִינוּve/nif/li/NUso shall we be separatedאֲנִיa/NIIוְעַמְּךָve/am/me/KHAand Your peopleמִכׇּל־הָעָםmik/KOL-ha/AMfrom all the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהָאֲדָמָה׃ha/a/da/MAthe earth

    For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17. 17

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesגַּםgamalsoאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou have spokenאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doכִּי־מָצָאתָki-ma/TSA/tafor you have foundחֵןchengraceבְּעֵינַיbe/e/NAYin my sightוָאֵדָעֲךָva/e/da/a/KHAand I know youבְּשֵׁם׃be/SHEMby name

    And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

18. 18

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidהַרְאֵנִיhar/E/nishow meנָאnaI prayאֶת־כְּבֹדֶךָ׃et-ke/vo/DE/khaYour glory

    And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19. 19

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲנִיa/NIIאַעֲבִירa/a/VIRwill make passכׇּל־טוּבִיkol-tu/VIall my goodnessעַל־פָּנֶיךָal-pa/NE/khabefore youוְקָרָאתִיve/ka/RA/tiand I will proclaimבְשֵׁםve/SHEMthe name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוְחַנֹּתִיve/chan/no/TIand I will be gracious toאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhomאָחֹןa/CHONI will be graciousוְרִחַמְתִּיve/ri/cham/TIand will show mercy onאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhomאֲרַחֵם׃a/ra/CHEMI will show mercy

    And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹאlonotתוּכַלtu/KHALcan youלִרְאֹתlir/OTseeאֶת־פָּנָיet-pa/NAYmy faceכִּיkiforלֹא־יִרְאַנִיlo-yir/A/nishall not see meהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanוָחָי׃va/CHAYand live

    And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמָקוֹםma/KOMthere is a placeאִתִּיit/TIby meוְנִצַּבְתָּve/nits/tsav/TAand you shall standעַל־הַצּוּר׃al-hats/TSURupon the rock

    And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22. 22

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall come to passבַּעֲבֹרba/a/VORwhile passes byכְּבֹדִיke/vo/DImy gloryוְשַׂמְתִּיךָve/sam/TI/khathat I will put youבְּנִקְרַתbe/nik/RATin a cleft ofהַצּוּרhats/TSURthe rockוְשַׂכֹּתִיve/sak/ko/TIand will coverכַפִּיkhap/PImy handעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaover youעַד־עׇבְרִי׃ad-ov/RIuntil I have passed by

    And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23. 23

    וַהֲסִרֹתִיva/ha/si/ro/TIand I will take awayאֶת־כַּפִּיet-kap/PImy handוְרָאִיתָve/ra/I/taand you shall seeאֶת־אֲחֹרָיet-a/cho/RAYmy backוּפָנַיu/fa/NAYand my faceלֹאlonotיֵרָאוּ׃׃ye/ra/Ushall be seen

    And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
