   And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

   וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeבִגְדֵי־קֹדֶשׁvig/DE-KO/deshholy garmentsלְאַהֲרֹןle/A/ha/RONfor Aaronאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherלְכָבוֹדle/kha/VODfor gloryוּלְתִפְאָרֶת׃u/le/tif/A/retand for beauty

   And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

3. 3

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERshall speakאֶל־כׇּל־חַכְמֵי־לֵבel-kol-chakh/ME-levto all the wise of heartאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomמִלֵּאתִיוmil/le/TIVI have filledרוּחַRU/achwith the spirit ofחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוְעָשׂוּve/a/SUthat they may makeאֶת־בִּגְדֵיet-big/DEthe garments ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronלְקַדְּשׁוֹle/kad/de/SHOto consecrate himלְכַהֲנוֹ־לִי׃le/kha/ha/NO-lito serve as priest to me

   And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

   And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

   וְהֵםve/HEMand theyיִקְחוּyik/CHUshall takeאֶת־הַזָּהָבet-haz/za/HAVthe goldוְאֶת־הַתְּכֵלֶתve/ET-hat/te/KHE/letand the blueוְאֶת־הָאַרְגָּמָןve/ET-ha/ar/ga/MANand the purpleוְאֶת־תּוֹלַעַתve/ET-to/LA/atand the crimsonהַשָּׁנִיhash/sha/NIscarletוְאֶת־הַשֵּׁשׁ׃ve/ET-hash/SHESHand the fine linen

   And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

   וְעָשׂוּve/a/SUand they shall makeאֶת־הָאֵפֹדet-ha/e/FODthe ephodזָהָבza/HAVgoldתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleתּוֹלַעַתto/LA/atand crimsonשָׁנִיsha/NIscarletוְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand fine linenמׇשְׁזָרmosh/ZARtwinedמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofחֹשֵׁב׃cho/SHEVa designer

   And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

7. 7

   שְׁתֵּיshtetwoכְתֵפֹתkhe/te/FOTshoulder piecesחֹבְרֹתchov/ROTjoiningיִהְיֶה־לּוֹyih/YE-loit shall haveאֶל־שְׁנֵיel-she/NEat its twoקְצוֹתָיוke/tso/TAYVendsוְחֻבָּר׃ve/chub/BARthat it may be joined

   It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.

8. 8

   וְחֵשֶׁבve/CHE/shevand the band ofאֲפֻדָּתוֹa/fud/da/TOthe ephodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itכְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּke/ma/a/SE/huof the same workמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof one piece with itיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beזָהָבza/HAVgoldתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוְתוֹלַעַתve/to/LA/atand crimsonשָׁנִיsha/NIscarletוְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand fine linenמׇשְׁזָר׃mosh/ZARtwined

   And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

   וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtethe twoאַבְנֵי־שֹׁהַםav/NE-SHO/hamonyx stonesוּפִתַּחְתָּu/fit/tach/TAand engraveעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMon themשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe names ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:

10. 10

    שִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixמִשְּׁמֹתָםmish/she/mo/TAMof their namesעַלalonהָאֶבֶןha/E/venthe stoneהָאֶחָתha/e/CHAToneוְאֶת־שְׁמוֹתve/ET-she/MOTand the names ofהַשִּׁשָּׁהhash/shish/SHAthe sixהַנּוֹתָרִיםhan/no/ta/RIMthat remainעַל־הָאֶבֶןal-ha/E/venupon the stoneהַשֵּׁנִיתhash/she/NITthe otherכְּתוֹלְדֹתָם׃ke/tol/do/TAMaccording to their birth

    Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

    מַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofחָרַשׁcha/RASHan engraver inאֶבֶןE/venstoneפִּתּוּחֵיpit/tu/CHEthe engravings ofחֹתָםcho/TAMa signetתְּפַתַּחte/fat/TACHshall you engraveאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtethe twoהָאֲבָנִיםha/a/va/NIMthe stonesעַל־שְׁמֹתal-she/MOTupon the names ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמֻסַבֹּתmu/sab/BOTenclosedמִשְׁבְּצוֹתmish/be/TSOTin settings ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.

    וְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand you shall putאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtethe twoהָאֲבָנִיםha/a/va/NIMthe stonesעַלaluponכִּתְפֹתkit/FOTthe shoulders ofהָאֵפֹדha/e/FODthe ephodאַבְנֵיav/NEstones ofזִכָּרֹןzik/ka/RONof memorialלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand shall bearאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־שְׁמוֹתָםet-she/mo/TAMtheir namesלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־שְׁתֵּיal-shteupon his twoכְתֵפָיוkhe/te/FAYVshouldersלְזִכָּרֹן׃le/zik/ka/RONfor a memorial

    And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

13. 13

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeמִשְׁבְּצֹתmish/be/TSOTsettings ofזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

    And thou shalt make ouches of gold;

14. 14

    וּשְׁתֵּיush/TEand twoשַׁרְשְׁרֹתshar/she/ROTchains ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldטָהוֹרta/HORpureמִגְבָּלֹתmig/ba/LOTat the endsתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeאֹתָםo/TAMthemמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofעֲבֹתa/VOTbraidedוְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall fastenאֶת־שַׁרְשְׁרֹתet-shar/she/ROTthe chains ofהָעֲבֹתֹתha/a/vo/TOTbraidedעַל־הַמִּשְׁבְּצֹת׃al-ham/mish/be/TSOTto the settings

    And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeחֹשֶׁןCHO/shenthe breastplate ofמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofחֹשֵׁבcho/SHEVa designerכְּמַעֲשֵׂהke/ma/a/SElike the work ofאֵפֹדe/FODthe ephodתַּעֲשֶׂנּוּta/a/SEN/nushall you make itזָהָבza/HAVgoldתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוְתוֹלַעַתve/to/LA/atand crimsonשָׁנִיsha/NIscarletוְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand fine linenמׇשְׁזָרmosh/ZARtwinedתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

    And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

16. 16

    רָבוּעַra/VU/afoursquareיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beכָּפוּלka/FULdoubledזֶרֶתZE/reta spanאׇרְכּוֹor/KOits lengthוְזֶרֶתve/ZE/retand a spanרׇחְבּוֹ׃roch/BOits breadth

    Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

17. 17

    וּמִלֵּאתָu/mil/le/TAand you shall setבוֹvoin itמִלֻּאַתmil/LU/atsettings ofאֶבֶןE/venstoneאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourטוּרִיםtu/RIMrows ofאָבֶןA/venstonesטוּרtura row ofאֹדֶםO/dema sardiusפִּטְדָהpit/DAa topazוּבָרֶקֶתu/va/RE/ketand a carbuncleהַטּוּרhat/TURthe rowהָאֶחָד׃ha/e/CHADfirst

    And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

18. 18

    וְהַטּוּרve/hat/TURand the rowהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIsecondנֹפֶךְNO/fekhan emeraldסַפִּירsap/PIRa sapphireוְיָהֲלֹם׃ve/ya/ha/LOMand a diamond

    And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

19. 19

    וְהַטּוּרve/hat/TURand the rowהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdלֶשֶׁםLE/shema jacinthשְׁבוֹshe/VOan agateוְאַחְלָמָה׃ve/ach/LA/maand an amethyst

    And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

20. 20

    וְהַטּוּרve/hat/TURand the rowהָרְבִיעִיha/re/vi/Ithe fourthתַּרְשִׁישׁtar/SHISHa berylוְשֹׁהַםve/SHO/hamand an onyxוְיָשְׁפֵהve/ya/she/FEand a jasperמְשֻׁבָּצִיםme/shub/ba/TSIMset inזָהָבza/HAVgoldיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beבְּמִלּוּאֹתָם׃be/mil/lu/o/TAMin their settings

    And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

21. 21

    וְהָאֲבָנִיםve/ha/a/va/NIMand the stonesתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nashall beעַל־שְׁמֹתal-she/MOTaccording to the names ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelשְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵהshtem-es/REtwelveעַל־שְׁמֹתָםal-she/mo/TAMaccording to their namesפִּתּוּחֵיpit/tu/CHEthe engravings ofחוֹתָםcho/TAMa signetאִישׁishevery oneעַל־שְׁמוֹal-she/MOaccording to his nameתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nashall beלִשְׁנֵי־עָשָׂרlish/NE-a/SARfor the twelveשָׁבֶט׃SHA/vettribes

    And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

22. 22

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeעַל־הַחֹשֶׁןal-ha/CHO/shenupon the breastplateשַׁרְשֹׁתshar/SHOTchainsגַּבְלֻתgav/LUTat the endsמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofעֲבֹתa/VOTbraidedזָהָבza/HAVgoldטָהוֹר׃ta/HORpure

    And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.

23. 23

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeעַל־הַחֹשֶׁןal-ha/CHO/shenupon the breastplateשְׁתֵּיshtetwoטַבְּעוֹתtab/be/OTrings ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְנָתַתָּve/na/tat/TAand you shall putאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtetwoהַטַּבָּעוֹתhat/tab/ba/OTthe ringsעַל־שְׁנֵיal-she/NEon the twoקְצוֹתke/TSOTends ofהַחֹשֶׁן׃ha/CHO/shenthe breastplate

    And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

24. 24

    וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall putאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtethe twoעֲבֹתֹתa/vo/TOTbraided chains ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVgoldעַל־שְׁתֵּיal-shtein the twoהַטַּבָּעֹתhat/tab/ba/OTthe ringsאֶל־קְצוֹתel-ke/TSOTat the ends ofהַחֹשֶׁן׃ha/CHO/shenthe breastplate

    And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.

25. 25

    וְאֵתve/ETandשְׁתֵּיshtethe twoקְצוֹתke/TSOTends ofשְׁתֵּיshtethe twoהָעֲבֹתֹתha/a/vo/TOTbraided chainsתִּתֵּןtit/TENyou shall fastenעַל־שְׁתֵּיal-shteon the twoהַמִּשְׁבְּצוֹתham/mish/be/TSOTsettingsוְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand put themעַל־כִּתְפוֹתal-kit/FOTon the shoulder pieces ofהָאֵפֹדha/e/FODthe ephodאֶל־מוּלel-mulon the front ofפָּנָיו׃pa/NAYVit

    And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.

26. 26

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeשְׁתֵּיshtetwoטַבְּעוֹתtab/be/OTrings ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand you shall putאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־שְׁנֵיal-she/NEon the twoקְצוֹתke/TSOTends ofהַחֹשֶׁןha/CHO/shenthe breastplateעַל־שְׂפָתוֹal-se/fa/TOon its edgeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isאֶל־עֵבֶרel-E/veron the side ofהָאֵפוֹדha/e/FODthe ephodבָּיְתָה׃BAY/tainward

    And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.

27. 27

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeשְׁתֵּיshtetwoטַבְּעוֹתtab/be/OTrings ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall putאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־שְׁתֵּיal-shteon the twoכִתְפוֹתkhit/FOTshoulder pieces ofהָאֵפוֹדha/e/FODthe ephodמִלְּמַטָּהmil/le/MAT/taunderneathמִמּוּלmim/MULtowardפָּנָיוpa/NAYVits frontלְעֻמַּתle/um/MATclose byמַחְבַּרְתּוֹmach/bar/TOits joiningמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveלְחֵשֶׁבle/CHE/shevthe band ofהָאֵפוֹד׃ha/e/FODthe ephod

    And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

28. 28

    וְיִרְכְּסוּve/yir/ke/SUand they shall bindאֶת־הַחֹשֶׁןet-ha/CHO/shenthe breastplateמִטַּבְּעֹתָוmit/tab/be/o/TAVby its ringsאֶל־טַבְּעֹתel-tab/be/OTto the rings ofהָאֵפוֹדha/e/FODthe ephodבִּפְתִילbif/TILwith a cord ofתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat it may beעַל־חֵשֶׁבal-CHE/shevabove the band ofהָאֵפוֹדha/e/FODthe ephodוְלֹא־יִזַּחve/LO-yiz/ZACHand that be not loosedהַחֹשֶׁןha/CHO/shenthe breastplateמֵעַלme/ALfromהָאֵפוֹד׃ha/e/FODthe ephod

    And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

29. 29

    וְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand shall bearאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־שְׁמוֹתet-she/MOTthe names ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelבְּחֹשֶׁןbe/CHO/shenin the breastplate ofהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentעַל־לִבּוֹal-lib/BOupon his heartבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he goes inאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeלְזִכָּרֹןle/zik/ka/RONfor a memorialלִפְנֵי־יְהֹוָהlif/NE-Adonaibefore the LORDתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDcontinually

    And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.

30. 30

    וְנָתַתָּve/na/tat/TAand you shall putאֶל־חֹשֶׁןel-CHO/shenin the breastplate ofהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentאֶת־הָאוּרִיםet-Ha/u/RIMthe Urimוְאֶת־הַתֻּמִּיםve/ET-hat/tum/MIMand the Thummimוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beעַל־לֵבal-levupon the heart ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he goes inלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand shall bearאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־מִשְׁפַּטet-mish/PATthe judgment ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelעַל־לִבּוֹal-lib/BOupon his heartלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDcontinually

    And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

31. 31

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeאֶת־מְעִילet-me/ILthe robe ofהָאֵפוֹדha/e/FODthe ephodכְּלִילke/LILall ofתְּכֵלֶת׃te/KHE/letblue

    And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

32. 32

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand there shall beפִי־רֹאשׁוֹfi-ro/SHOthe opening for its headבְּתוֹכוֹbe/to/KHOin its midstשָׂפָהsa/FAa bindingיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלְפִיוle/FIVfor its openingסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofאֹרֵגo/REGa weaverכְּפִיke/FIlike the opening ofתַחְרָאtach/RAa coat of mailיִהְיֶה־לּוֹyih/YE-loshall it haveלֹאlonotיִקָּרֵעַ׃yik/ka/RE/athat it be torn

    And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.

33. 33

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeעַל־שׁוּלָיוal-shu/LAYVupon its hemרִמֹּנֵיrim/mo/NEpomegranates ofתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוְתוֹלַעַתve/to/LA/atand crimsonשָׁנִיsha/NIscarletעַל־שׁוּלָיוal-shu/LAYVupon its hemסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוּפַעֲמֹנֵיu/fa/a/mo/NEand bells ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMbetween themסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

    פַּעֲמֹןpa/a/MONa bell ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְרִמּוֹןve/rim/MONand a pomegranateפַּעֲמֹןpa/a/MONa bell ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְרִמּוֹןve/rim/MONand a pomegranateעַל־שׁוּלֵיal-shu/LEupon the hem ofהַמְּעִילham/me/ILthe robeסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

35. 35

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעַל־אַהֲרֹןal-A/ha/RONupon Aaronלְשָׁרֵתle/sha/RETto ministerוְנִשְׁמַעve/nish/MAand shall be heardקוֹלוֹko/LOhis soundבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he goes inאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּבְצֵאתוֹu/ve/tse/TOand when he goes outוְלֹאve/LOthat notיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe die

    And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

36. 36

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeצִּיץtsitsa plate ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldטָהוֹרta/HORpureוּפִתַּחְתָּu/fit/tach/TAand engraveעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itפִּתּוּחֵיpit/tu/CHEthe engravings ofחֹתָםcho/TAMa signetקֹדֶשׁKO/deshHOLINESSלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

37. 37

    וְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand you shall putאֹתוֹo/TOitעַל־פְּתִילal-pe/TILon a cord ofתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letblueוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעַל־הַמִּצְנָפֶתal-ham/mits/NA/fetupon the turbanאֶל־מוּלel-mulon the front ofפְּנֵי־הַמִּצְנֶפֶתpe/NE-ham/mits/NE/fetthe turbanיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEit shall be

    And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

38. 38

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעַל־מֵצַחal-ME/tsachupon the forehead ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronוְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand shall bearאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־עֲוֺןet-a/VONthe iniquity ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMthe holy thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַקְדִּישׁוּyak/DI/shushall hallowבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְכׇל־מַתְּנֹתle/KHOL-mat/te/NOTin all the gifts ofקׇדְשֵׁיהֶםkod/she/HEMtheir holy thingsוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעַל־מִצְחוֹal-mits/CHOupon his foreheadתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלְרָצוֹןle/ra/TSONfor acceptanceלָהֶםla/HEMfor themלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

39. 39

    וְשִׁבַּצְתָּve/shib/bats/TAand you shall weave in checker workהַכְּתֹנֶתhak/ke/TO/netthe coat ofשֵׁשׁsheshfine linenוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeמִצְנֶפֶתmits/NE/feta turbanשֵׁשׁsheshfine linenוְאַבְנֵטve/av/NETand a sashתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofרֹקֵם׃ro/KEMan embroiderer

    And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.

40. 40

    וְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand for the sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeכֻתֳּנֹתkhut/to/NOTcoatsוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall makeלָהֶםla/HEMfor themאַבְנֵטִיםav/ne/TIMsashesוּמִגְבָּעוֹתu/mig/ba/OTand capsתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeלָהֶםla/HEMfor themלְכָבוֹדle/kha/VODfor gloryוּלְתִפְאָרֶת׃u/le/tif/A/retand for beauty

    And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.

41. 41

    וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּve/hil/bash/TAand you shall put onאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶת־אַהֲרֹןet-A/ha/RONAaronאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherוְאֶת־בָּנָיוve/ET-ba/NAYVand his sonsאִתּוֹit/TOwith himוּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand anointאֹתָםo/TAMthemוּמִלֵּאתָu/mil/le/TAand fillאֶת־יָדָםet-ya/DAMtheir handוְקִדַּשְׁתָּve/kid/dash/TAand sanctifyאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְכִהֲנוּve/khi/ha/NUthat they may serve as priestsלִי׃lito me

    And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

42. 42

    וַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand makeלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמִכְנְסֵי־בָדmikh/ne/SE-vadlinen breechesלְכַסּוֹתle/khas/SOTto coverבְּשַׂרbe/SARthe flesh ofעֶרְוָהer/VAnakednessמִמׇּתְנַיִםmim/mot/NA/yimfrom the loinsוְעַד־יְרֵכַיִםve/AD-ye/re/KHA/yimeven to the thighsיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthey shall reach

    And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

43. 43

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beעַל־אַהֲרֹןal-A/ha/RONupon Aaronוְעַל־בָּנָיוve/AL-ba/NAYVand upon his sonsבְּבֹאָםbe/vo/AMwhen they come inאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingאוֹoorבְגִשְׁתָּםve/gish/TAMwhen they come nearאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarלְשָׁרֵתle/sha/RETto ministerבַּקֹּדֶשׁbak/KO/deshin the holy placeוְלֹא־יִשְׂאוּve/LO-yis/Uthat they bear notעָוֺןa/VONiniquityוָמֵתוּva/ME/tuand dieחֻקַּתchuk/KATa statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everלוֹloto himוּלְזַרְעוֹu/le/zar/Oand to his seedאַחֲרָיו׃a/cha/RAYVafter him

    And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
