1. 1

   לֹאlonotתִשָּׂאtis/SAshall you raiseשֵׁמַעSHE/maa reportשָׁוְאshavfalseאַל־תָּשֶׁתal-TA/shetput notיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handעִם־רָשָׁעim-ra/SHAwith the wickedלִהְיֹתlih/YOTto beעֵדeda witnessחָמָס׃cha/MASof violence

   Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

2. 2

   לֹא־תִהְיֶהlo-tih/YEyou shall not beאַחֲרֵי־רַבִּיםa/cha/RE-rab/BIMafter manyלְרָעֹתle/ra/OTto do evilוְלֹא־תַעֲנֶהve/LO-ta/a/NEneither shall you answerעַל־רִבal-rivin a disputeלִנְטֹתlin/TOTto turn asideאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלְהַטֹּת׃le/hat/TOTto pervert

   Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

   וְדָלve/DALand a poor manלֹאlonotתֶהְדַּרteh/DARshall you favorבְּרִיבוֹ׃be/ri/VOin his cause

   Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

4. 4

   כִּיkiifתִפְגַּעtif/GAyou meetשׁוֹרshoran oxאֹיִבְךָo/yiv/KHAof your enemyאוֹoorחֲמֹרוֹcha/mo/ROhis donkeyתֹּעֶהto/Egoing astrayהָשֵׁבha/SHEVbring backתְּשִׁיבֶנּוּte/shi/VEN/nuyou shall bring it backלוֹ׃loto him

   If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

   כִּי־תִרְאֶהki-tir/Eif you seeחֲמוֹרcha/MORa donkeyשֹׂנַאֲךָso/na/a/KHAof him who hates youרֹבֵץro/VETSlyingתַּחַתTA/chatunderמַשָּׂאוֹmas/sa/Oits burdenוְחָדַלְתָּve/cha/dal/TAand you would forbearמֵעֲזֹבme/a/ZOVto helpלוֹlohimעָזֹבa/ZOVhelpתַּעֲזֹבta/a/ZOVyou shall helpעִמּוֹ׃im/MOwith him

   If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

   לֹאlonotתַטֶּהtat/TEshall you pervertמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATthe judgment ofאֶבְיֹנְךָev/yon/KHAyour poorבְּרִיבוֹ׃be/ri/VOin his cause

   Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

   מִדְּבַר־שֶׁקֶרmid/de/VAR-SHE/kerfrom a false matterתִּרְחָקtir/CHAKkeep farוְנָקִיve/na/KIand the innocentוְצַדִּיקve/tsad/DIKand the righteousאַל־תַּהֲרֹגal-ta/ha/ROGslay notכִּיkiforלֹא־אַצְדִּיקlo-ats/DIKI will not justifyרָשָׁע׃ra/SHAthe wicked

   Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

8. 8

   וְשֹׁחַדve/SHO/chadand a bribeלֹאlonotתִקָּחtik/KACHshall you takeכִּיkiforהַשֹּׁחַדhash/SHO/chadthe bribeיְעַוֵּרye/av/VERblindsפִּקְחִיםpik/CHIMthe clear-sightedוִיסַלֵּףvi/sal/LEFand pervertsדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe words ofצַדִּיקִים׃tsad/di/KIMthe righteous

   And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

   וְגֵרve/GERand a strangerלֹאlonotתִלְחָץtil/CHATSshall you oppressוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMfor youיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMknowאֶת־נֶפֶשׁet-NE/feshthe soul ofהַגֵּרhag/GERa strangerכִּי־גֵרִיםki-ge/RIMfor strangersהֱיִיתֶםhe/yi/TEMyou wereבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10. 10

    וְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand sixשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsתִּזְרַעtiz/RAyou shall sowאֶת־אַרְצֶךָet-ar/TSE/khayour landוְאָסַפְתָּve/a/saf/TAand shall gather inאֶת־תְּבוּאָתָהּ׃et-te/vu/a/TAits increase

    And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

11. 11

    וְהַשְּׁבִיעִתve/hash/she/vi/ITbut the seventhתִּשְׁמְטֶנָּהtish/me/TEN/nayou shall let it restוּנְטַשְׁתָּהּu/ne/tash/TAand let it lieוְאָכְלוּve/a/khe/LUthat may eatאֶבְיֹנֵיev/yo/NEthe poor ofעַמֶּךָam/ME/khayour peopleוְיִתְרָםve/yit/RAMand what they leaveתֹּאכַלto/KHALshall eatחַיַּתchay/YATthe beasts ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldכֵּן־תַּעֲשֶׂהken-ta/a/SEso shall you doלְכַרְמְךָle/khar/me/KHAwith your vineyardלְזֵיתֶךָ׃le/ze/TE/khawith your olive grove

    But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

    שֵׁשֶׁתSHE/shetsixיָמִיםya/MIMdaysתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doמַעֲשֶׂיךָma/a/SE/khayour workוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhתִּשְׁבֹּתtish/BOTyou shall restלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָנוּחַya/NU/achmay restשׁוֹרְךָshor/KHAyour oxוַחֲמֹרֶךָva/cha/mo/RE/khaand your donkeyוְיִנָּפֵשׁve/yin/na/FESHand may be refreshedבֶּן־אֲמָתְךָben-a/ma/te/KHAthe son of your maidservantוְהַגֵּר׃ve/hag/GERand the stranger

    Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

13. 13

    וּבְכֹלu/ve/KHOLand in allאֲשֶׁר־אָמַרְתִּיa/SHER-a/MAR/tithat I have saidאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youתִּשָּׁמֵרוּtish/sha/ME/rube circumspectוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsלֹאlonotתַזְכִּירוּtaz/KI/rushall you make mention ofלֹאlonotיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAlet it be heardעַל־פִּיךָ׃al-PI/khaout of your mouth

    And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

14. 14

    שָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeרְגָלִיםre/ga/LIMtimesתָּחֹגta/CHOGyou shall keep a feastלִיlito meבַּשָּׁנָה׃bash/sha/NAin the year

    Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

15. 15

    אֶת־חַגet-chagthe feast ofהַמַּצּוֹתham/mats/TSOTunleavened breadתִּשְׁמֹרtish/MORyou shall keepשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysתֹּאכַלto/KHALyou shall eatמַצּוֹתmats/TSOTunleavened breadכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוִּיתִךָtsiv/vi/TI/khaI commanded youלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDat the time appointed ofחֹדֶשׁCHO/deshthe monthהָאָבִיבHa/a/VIVAbibכִּי־בוֹki-vofor in itיָצָאתָya/TSA/tayou came outמִמִּצְרָיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptוְלֹא־יֵרָאוּve/LO-ye/ra/Uand none shall appearפָנַיfa/NAYbefore meרֵיקָם׃re/KAMempty

    Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

16. 16

    וְחַגve/CHAGand the feast ofהַקָּצִירhak/ka/TSIRharvestבִּכּוּרֵיbik/ku/REthe firstfruits ofמַעֲשֶׂיךָma/a/SE/khayour worksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּזְרַעtiz/RAyou sowבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldוְחַגve/CHAGand the feast ofהָאָסִףha/a/SIFingatheringבְּצֵאתbe/TSETat the end ofהַשָּׁנָהhash/sha/NAthe yearבְּאׇסְפְּךָbe/os/pe/KHAwhen you gather inאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksמִן־הַשָּׂדֶה׃min-has/sa/DEout of the field

    And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

17. 17

    שָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Eshall appearכׇּל־זְכוּרְךָkol-ze/khur/KHAall your malesאֶל־פְּנֵיel-pe/NEbeforeהָאָדֹןha/a/DONthe Lordיְהֹוָה׃AdonaiGOD

    Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

18. 18

    לֹא־תִזְבַּחlo-tiz/BACHyou shall not offerעַל־חָמֵץal-cha/METSwith leavenדַּם־זִבְחִיdam-ziv/CHIthe blood of my sacrificeוְלֹא־יָלִיןve/LO-ya/LINneither shall remainחֵלֶב־חַגִּיCHE/lev-chag/GIthe fat of my feastעַד־בֹּקֶר׃ad-BO/keruntil the morning

    Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

19. 19

    רֵאשִׁיתre/SHITthe first ofבִּכּוּרֵיbik/ku/REthe first fruits ofאַדְמָתְךָad/ma/te/KHAyour landתָּבִיאta/VIyou shall bring intoבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלֹא־תְבַשֵּׁלlo-te/vash/SHELyou shall not boilגְּדִיge/DIa kidבַּחֲלֵבba/cha/LEVin the milk ofאִמּוֹ׃im/MOits mother

    The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

20. 20

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIשֹׁלֵחַsho/LE/achsendמַלְאָךְmal/AKHan angelלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youלִשְׁמׇרְךָlish/mor/KHAto keep youבַּדָּרֶךְbad/DA/rekhby the wayוְלַהֲבִיאֲךָve/la/ha/vi/a/KHAand to bring youאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMinto the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֲכִנֹתִי׃ha/khi/NO/tiI have prepared

    Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

21. 21

    הִשָּׁמֶרhish/SHA/merbewareמִפָּנָיוmip/pa/NAYVbefore himוּשְׁמַעu/she/MAand hearבְּקֹלוֹbe/ko/LOhis voiceאַל־תַּמֵּרal-tam/MERprovoke him notבּוֹbohimכִּיkiforלֹאlonotיִשָּׂאyis/SAhe will pardonלְפִשְׁעֲכֶםle/fish/a/KHEMyour transgressionsכִּיkiforשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameבְּקִרְבּוֹ׃be/kir/BOis in him

    Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

22. 22

    כִּיkibutאִם־שָׁמוֹעַim-sha/MO/aif hearkenתִּשְׁמַעtish/MAyou hearkenבְּקֹלוֹbe/ko/LOto his voiceוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand doכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakוְאָיַבְתִּיve/a/yav/TIthen I will be an enemy toאֶת־אֹיְבֶיךָet-oy/VE/khayour enemiesוְצַרְתִּיve/tsar/TIand an adversary toאֶת־צֹרְרֶיךָ׃et-tsor/RE/khayour adversaries

    But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

23. 23

    כִּי־יֵלֵךְki-ye/LEKHfor shall goמַלְאָכִיmal/a/KHImy angelלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוֶהֱבִיאֲךָve/he/vi/a/KHAand bring youאֶל־הָאֱמֹרִיel-Ha/e/mo/RIto the Amoriteוְהַחִתִּיve/ha/Chit/TIand the Hittiteוְהַפְּרִזִּיve/hap/Pe/riz/ZIand the Perizziteוְהַכְּנַעֲנִיve/hak/Ke/na/a/NIand the Canaaniteהַחִוִּיha/Chiv/VIthe HiviteוְהַיְבוּסִיVe/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusiteוְהִכְחַדְתִּיו׃ve/hikh/chad/TIVand I will cut them off

    For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

24. 24

    לֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהlo-tish/ta/cha/VEyou shall not bow downלֵאלֹהֵיהֶםle/lo/he/HEMto their godsוְלֹאve/LOnorתׇעׇבְדֵםto/ov/DEMserve themוְלֹאve/LOnorתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEdoכְּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםke/ma/a/se/HEMafter their worksכִּיkibutהָרֵסha/RESoverthrowתְּהָרְסֵםte/ha/re/SEMyou shall overthrow themוְשַׁבֵּרve/shab/BERand breakתְּשַׁבֵּרte/shab/BERyou shall breakמַצֵּבֹתֵיהֶם׃mats/tse/vo/te/HEMtheir pillars

    Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

25. 25

    וַעֲבַדְתֶּםva/a/vad/TEMand you shall serveאֵת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוּבֵרַךְu/ve/RAKHand He shall blessאֶת־לַחְמְךָet-lach/me/KHAyour breadוְאֶת־מֵימֶיךָve/ET-me/ME/khaand your waterוַהֲסִרֹתִיva/ha/si/ro/TIand I will take awayמַחֲלָהma/cha/LAsicknessמִקִּרְבֶּךָ׃mik/kir/BE/khafrom your midst

    And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

26. 26

    לֹאlonotתִהְיֶהtih/YEshall beמְשַׁכֵּלָהme/shak/ke/LAone miscarryingוַעֲקָרָהva/a/ka/RAor barrenבְּאַרְצֶךָbe/ar/TSE/khain your landאֶת־מִסְפַּרet-mis/PARthe number ofיָמֶיךָya/ME/khayour daysאֲמַלֵּא׃a/mal/LEI will fulfil

    There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

27. 27

    אֶת־אֵימָתִיet-e/ma/TImy terrorאֲשַׁלַּחa/shal/LACHI will sendלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוְהַמֹּתִיve/ham/mo/TIand I will discomfitאֶת־כׇּל־הָעָםet-kol-ha/AMall the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERto whomתָּבֹאta/VOyou shall comeבָּהֶםba/HEMamong themוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeאֶת־כׇּל־אֹיְבֶיךָet-kol-oy/VE/khaall your enemiesאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youעֹרֶף׃O/refthe back

    I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

28. 28

    וְשָׁלַחְתִּיve/sha/lach/TIand I will sendאֶת־הַצִּרְעָהet-hats/tsir/Athe hornetלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוְגֵרְשָׁהve/ger/SHAand it shall drive outאֶת־הַחִוִּיet-Ha/chiv/VIthe Hiviteאֶת־הַכְּנַעֲנִיet-Hak/ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteוְאֶת־הַחִתִּיve/ET-ha/chit/TIand the Hittiteמִלְּפָנֶיךָ׃mil/le/fa/NE/khafrom before you

    And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

29. 29

    לֹאlonotאֲגָרְשֶׁנּוּa/ga/re/SHEN/nuwill I drive them outמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khafrom before youבְּשָׁנָהbe/sha/NAin a yearאֶחָתe/CHAToneפֶּן־תִּהְיֶהpen-tih/YElest becomeהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAdesolateוְרַבָּהve/rab/BAand multiplyעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youחַיַּתchay/YATthe beast ofהַשָּׂדֶה׃has/sa/DEthe field

    I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

30. 30

    מְעַטme/ATlittleמְעַטme/ATby littleאֲגָרְשֶׁנּוּa/ga/re/SHEN/nuI will drive them outמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khafrom before youעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּפְרֶהtif/REyou be increasedוְנָחַלְתָּve/na/chal/TAand inheritאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retsthe land

    By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

31. 31

    וְשַׁתִּיve/shat/TIand I will setאֶת־גְּבֻלְךָet-ge/vul/KHAyour boundsמִיַּם־סוּףmiy/YAM-suffrom the Red Seaוְעַד־יָםve/AD-yameven to the sea ofפְּלִשְׁתִּיםPe/lish/TIMthe Philistinesוּמִמִּדְבָּרu/mim/mid/BARand from the wildernessעַד־הַנָּהָרad-Han/na/HARto the Riverכִּיkiforאֶתֵּןet/TENI will deliverבְּיֶדְכֶםbe/yed/KHEMinto your handאֵת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוְגֵרַשְׁתָּמוֹve/ge/rash/TA/moand you shall drive them outמִפָּנֶיךָ׃mip/pa/NE/khafrom before you

    And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

32. 32

    לֹא־תִכְרֹתlo-tikh/ROTyou shall make noלָהֶםla/HEMwith themוְלֵאלֹהֵיהֶםve/le/lo/he/HEMnor with their godsבְּרִית׃be/RITcovenant

    Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

33. 33

    לֹאlonotיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUthey shall dwellבְּאַרְצְךָbe/ar/tse/KHAin your landפֶּן־יַחֲטִיאוּpen-ya/cha/TI/ulest they make sinאֹתְךָot/KHAyouלִיliagainst meכִּיkiforתַעֲבֹדta/a/VODyou serveאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶםet-e/lo/he/HEMtheir godsכִּי־יִהְיֶהki-yih/YEsurely it will beלְךָle/KHAto youלְמוֹקֵשׁ׃le/mo/KESHa snare

    They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
