   And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

   The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

   לֹאlonotאֶת־אֲבֹתֵינוּet-a/vo/TE/nuour fathersכָּרַתka/RATmadeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־הַבְּרִיתet-hab/be/RITthe covenantהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכִּיkibutאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nueven usאֵלֶּהEL/lewho areפֹהfohereהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayכֻּלָּנוּkul/LA/nuall of usחַיִּים׃chay/YIMalive

   The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

   The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

   אָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIעֹמֵדo/MEDstoodבֵּין־יְהֹוָהben-Adonaibetween the LORDוּבֵינֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMand between youבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatלְהַגִּידle/hag/GIDto showלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־דְּבַרet-de/VARthe word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּיkiforיְרֵאתֶםye/re/TEMyou were afraidמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHthe fireוְלֹא־עֲלִיתֶםve/LO-a/li/TEMand did not go upבָּהָרba/HARinto the mountainלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,

   אָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהוֹצֵאתִיךָho/tse/TI/khahave brought you outמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptמִבֵּיתmib/BETout of the house ofעֲבָדִ͏ים׃a/va/DIMbondage

   I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

   לֹא־יִהְיֶ͏ה־לְךָlo-yih/YE-le/KHAyou shall have noאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsעַל־פָּנָ͏ַי׃al-pa/NAYbefore me

   Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

8. 8

   לֹא־תַעֲשֶׂה־לְךָlo-ta/a/SE-le/KHAyou shall not make for yourselfפֶסֶלFE/sela graven imageכׇּל־תְּמוּנָהkol-te/mu/NAany likenessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERor thatבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthמִתָּ͏ַחַתmit/TA/chatbeneathוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERor thatבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin the waterמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatunderלָאָרֶץ׃la/A/retsthe earth

   Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

   לֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהlo-tish/ta/cha/VEyou shall not bow downלָהֶםla/HEMto themוְלֹאve/LOnorתׇעׇבְדֵםto/ov/DEMserve themכִּיkiforאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֵלela Godקַנָּאkan/NAjealousפֹּקֵדpo/KEDvisitingעֲוֺןa/VONthe iniquity ofאָבוֹתa/VOTthe fathersעַל־בָּנִיםal-ba/NIMupon the childrenוְעַל־שִׁלֵּשִׁיםve/AL-shil/le/SHIMand upon the third generationוְעַל־רִבֵּעִיםve/AL-rib/be/IMand upon the fourthלְשֹׂנְאָי׃le/son/AYof them that hate me

   Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

    וְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand showingחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyלַאֲלָפִיםla/a/la/FIMto thousandsלְאֹהֲבַיle/o/ha/VAYof them that love meוּלְשֹׁמְרֵיu/le/shom/REand keep(מצותו)matsavatav[מִצְוֺתָי]׃mits/vo/TAYmy commandments

    And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

11. 11

    לֹאlonotתִשָּׂאtis/SAyou shall takeאֶת־שֵׁם־יְהֹוָהet-shem-Adonaithe name of the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלַשָּׁוְאlash/SHAVin vainכִּיkiforלֹאlonotיְנַקֶּהye/nak/KEwill hold guiltlessיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־יִשָּׂאet-a/SHER-yis/SAhim who takesאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOHis nameלַשָּׁוְא׃lash/SHAVin vain

    Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

12. 12

    שָׁמוֹרsha/MORkeepאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe day ofהַשַּׁבָּתhash/shab/BATthe sabbathלְקַדְּשׁוֹle/kad/de/SHOto keep it holyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוְּךָtsiv/ve/KHAhas commanded youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

    Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.

13. 13

    שֵׁשֶׁתSHE/shetsixיָמִיםya/MIMdaysתַּעֲבֹדta/a/VODshall you laborוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand doכׇּֿל־מְלַאכְתֶּךָ׃kol-me/lakh/TE/khaall your work

    Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:

14. 14

    וְיוֹםve/YOMbut the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhשַׁבָּתshab/BATis the sabbathלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiof the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלֹאlonotתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doכׇל־מְלָאכָהkhol-me/la/KHAany workאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבִנְךָ־וּבִתֶּךָu/vin/KHA-u/vit/TE/khanor your son nor your daughterוְעַבְדְּךָ־וַאֲמָתֶךָve/av/de/KHA-va/a/ma/TE/khanor your manservant nor your maidservantוְשׁוֹרְךָve/shor/KHAnor your oxוַחֲמֹרְךָva/cha/mor/KHAnor your donkeyוְכׇל־בְּהֶמְתֶּךָve/KHOL-be/hem/TE/khanor any of your livestockוְגֵרְךָve/ger/KHAnor your strangerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָbish/a/RE/khawithin your gatesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָנוּחַya/NU/achmay restעַבְדְּךָav/de/KHAyour manservantוַאֲמָתְךָva/a/ma/te/KHAand your maidservantכָּמוֹךָ׃ka/MO/khaas well as you

    But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

    וְזָכַרְתָּve/za/khar/TAand rememberכִּי־עֶבֶדki-E/vedthat a servantהָיִיתָha/YI/tayou wereבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיֹּצִאֲךָvay/yo/tsi/a/KHAand that brought you outיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereבְּיָדbe/YADby a handחֲזָקָהcha/za/KAmightyוּבִזְרֹעַu/viz/RO/aand by an armנְטוּיָהne/tu/YAoutstretchedעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeצִוְּךָtsiv/ve/KHAhas commanded youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto keepאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe day ofהַשַּׁבָּת׃hash/shab/BATthe sabbath

    And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

16. 16

    כַּבֵּדkab/BEDhonorאֶת־אָבִיךָet-a/VI/khayour fatherוְאֶת־אִמֶּךָve/ET-im/ME/khaand your motherכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוְּךָtsiv/ve/KHAhas commanded youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַאֲרִיכֻןya/a/ri/KHUNmay be longיָמֶיךָya/ME/khayour daysוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיִיטַבyi/TAVit may go wellלָךְlakhwith youעַלaluponהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe landאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENgivesלָךְ׃lakhto you

    Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

17. 17

    לֹאlonotתִּֿרְצָ͏ח׃tir/TSACHyou shall murderוְלֹאve/LOand notתִּֿנְאָ͏ף׃tin/AFyou shall commit adulteryוְלֹאve/LOand notתִּֿגְנֹב׃tig/NOVyou shall stealוְלֹא־תַעֲנֶהve/LO-ta/a/NEand you shall not bearבְרֵעֲךָve/re/a/KHAagainst your neighborעֵדedwitnessשָׁוְא׃shavfalse

    Thou shalt not kill. Neither shalt thou commit adultery. Neither shalt thou steal. Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.

18. 18

    וְלֹאve/LOand notתַחְמֹדtach/MODshall you covetאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofרֵעֶךָre/E/khayour neighborוְלֹאve/LOand notתִתְאַוֶּהtit/av/VEshall you desireבֵּיתbetthe house ofרֵעֶךָre/E/khayour neighborשָׂדֵהוּsa/DE/huhis fieldוְעַבְדּוֹve/av/DOnor his manservantוַאֲמָתוֹva/a/ma/TOnor his maidservantשׁוֹרוֹsho/ROnor his oxוַחֲמֹרוֹva/cha/mo/ROnor his donkeyוְכֹלve/KHOLnor anythingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלְרֵעֶךָ׃le/re/E/khais your neighbor's

    Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.

19. 19

    אֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־כׇּל־קְהַלְכֶםel-kol-ke/hal/KHEMto all your assemblyבָּהָרba/HARin the mountainמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHthe fireהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANof the cloudוְהָעֲרָפֶלve/ha/a/ra/FELand the thick darknessקוֹלkolwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְלֹאve/LOand noיָסָףya/SAFmoreוַיִּכְתְּבֵםvay/yikh/te/VEMand He wrote themעַל־שְׁנֵיal-she/NEupon twoלֻחֹתlu/CHOTtablets ofאֲבָנִיםa/va/NIMstoneוַיִּתְּנֵםvay/yit/te/NEMand gave themאֵלָי׃e/LAYto me

    These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

20. 20

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּשׇׁמְעֲכֶםke/shom/a/KHEMwhen you heardאֶת־הַקּוֹלet-hak/KOLthe voiceמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhthe darknessוְהָהָרve/ha/HARand the mountainבֹּעֵרbo/ERburnedבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireוַתִּקְרְבוּןvat/tik/re/VUNthat you came nearאֵלַיe/LAYto meכׇּל־רָאשֵׁיkol-ra/SHEall the heads ofשִׁבְטֵיכֶםshiv/te/KHEMyour tribesוְזִקְנֵיכֶם׃ve/zik/ne/KHEMand your elders

    And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

21. 21

    וַתֹּאמְרוּvat/to/me/RUand you saidהֵןhenbeholdהֶרְאָנוּher/A/nuhas shown usיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godאֶת־כְּבֹדוֹet-ke/vo/DOHis gloryוְאֶת־גׇּדְלוֹve/ET-god/LOand His greatnessוְאֶת־קֹלוֹve/ET-ko/LOand His voiceשָׁמַעְנוּsha/MA/nuwe heardמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHthe fireהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisרָאִינוּra/I/nuwe sawכִּי־יְדַבֵּרki-ye/dab/BERthat does speakאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMwith manוָחָי׃va/CHAYand he lives

    And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

22. 22

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלָמָּהLAM/mawhyנָמוּתna/MUTshould we dieכִּיkiforתֹאכְלֵנוּto/khe/LE/nuwill consume usהָאֵשׁha/ESHthe fireהַגְּדֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאִם־יֹסְפִיםim-yos/FIMif continueאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאֶת־קוֹלet-kolthe voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godעוֹדodany moreוָמָתְנוּ׃va/MAT/nuthen we shall die

    Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.

23. 23

    כִּיkiforמִיmiwhoכׇל־בָּשָׂרkhol-ba/SARof all fleshאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשָׁמַעsha/MAhas heardקוֹלkolthe voice ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakingמִתּוֹךְ־הָאֵשׁmit/TOKH-ha/ESHfrom the midst of the fireכָּמֹנוּka/MO/nuas we haveוַיֶּחִי׃vay/YE/chiand lived

    For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

24. 24

    קְרַבke/RAVgo nearאַתָּהat/TAyouוּשְׁמָעu/she/MAand hearאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatיֹאמַרyo/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godוְאַתְּve/ATTand youתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERspeakאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERspeaksיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוְשָׁמַעְנוּve/sha/MA/nuand we will hear itוְעָשִׂינוּ׃ve/a/SI/nuand do it

    Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

25. 25

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־קוֹלet-kolthe voice ofדִּבְרֵיכֶםdiv/re/KHEMyour wordsבְּדַבֶּרְכֶםbe/dab/ber/KHEMwhen you spokeאֵלָיe/LAYto meוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardאֶת־קוֹלet-kolthe voice ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe words ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUhave spokenאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהֵיטִיבוּhe/TI/vuthey have well saidכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall thatדִּבֵּרוּ׃dib/BE/ruthey have spoken

    And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.

26. 26

    מִי־יִתֵּןmi-yit/TENoh thatוְהָיָהve/ha/YAthere wereלְבָבָםle/va/VAMheartזֶהzesuch aלָהֶםla/HEMin themלְיִרְאָהle/yir/Athat they would fearאֹתִיo/TImeוְלִשְׁמֹרve/lish/MORand keepאֶת־כׇּל־מִצְוֺתַיet-kol-mits/vo/TAYall My commandmentsכׇּל־הַיָּמִיםkol-hay/ya/MIMall the daysלְמַעַןle/MA/anin order thatיִיטַבyi/TAVit might be wellלָהֶםla/HEMwith themוְלִבְנֵיהֶםve/liv/ne/HEMand with their childrenלְעֹלָם׃le/o/LAMfor ever

    O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

27. 27

    לֵךְlekhgoאֱמֹרe/MORsayלָהֶםla/HEMto themשׁוּבוּSHU/vureturnלָכֶםla/KHEMyouלְאׇהֳלֵיכֶם׃le/o/ho/le/KHEMto your tents

    Go say to them, Get you into your tents again.

28. 28

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youפֹּהpohereעֲמֹדa/MODstandעִמָּדִיim/ma/DIwith meוַאֲדַבְּרָהva/a/dab/be/RAand I will speakאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאֵת־כׇּל־הַמִּצְוָהet-kol-ham/mits/VAall the commandmentוְהַחֻקִּיםve/ha/chuk/KIMand the statutesוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִיםve/ham/mish/pa/TIMand the judgmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתְּלַמְּדֵםte/lam/me/DEMyou shall teach themוְעָשׂוּve/a/SUthat they may do themבָאָרֶץva/A/retsin the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃le/rish/TAto possess it

    But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

29. 29

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMyou shall observeלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAhas commandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלֹאlonotתָסֻרוּta/SU/rushall you turn asideיָמִיןya/MINto the rightוּשְׂמֹאל׃u/se/MOLor to the left

    Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

30. 30

    Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
