   And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

   וְשַׁבְתָּve/shav/TAand returnעַד־יְהֹוָהad-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוְשָׁמַעְתָּve/sha/ma/TAand hearkenבְקֹלוֹve/ko/LOto His voiceכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁר־אָנֹכִיa/SHER-a/no/KHIthat Iמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your childrenבְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָbe/KHOL-le/va/ve/KHAwith all your heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃u/ve/KHOL-naf/SHE/khaand with all your soul

   And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

   וְשָׁבve/SHAVthen will turnיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֶת־שְׁבוּתְךָet-she/vut/KHAyour captivityוְרִחֲמֶךָve/ri/cha/ME/khaand have compassion on youוְשָׁבve/SHAVand will returnוְקִבֶּצְךָve/kib/bets/KHAand gather youמִכׇּל־הָעַמִּיםmik/KOL-ha/am/MIMfrom all the peoplesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהֱפִיצְךָhe/fi/tse/KHAhas scattered youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

   That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

4. 4

   אִם־יִהְיֶהim-yih/YEif areנִדַּחֲךָnid/da/cha/KHAyour outcastsבִּקְצֵהbik/TSEat the end ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereיְקַבֶּצְךָye/kab/bets/KHAwill gather youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוּמִשָּׁםu/mish/SHAMand from thereיִקָּחֶךָ׃yik/ka/CHE/khaHe will take you

   If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5. 5

   וֶהֱבִיאֲךָve/he/vi/a/KHAand will bring youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsinto the landאֲשֶׁר־יָרְשׁוּa/SHER-ya/re/SHUwhich possessedאֲבֹתֶיךָa/vo/TE/khayour fathersוִירִשְׁתָּהּvi/rish/TAand you shall possess itוְהֵיטִבְךָve/he/tiv/KHAand He will do you goodוְהִרְבְּךָve/hir/be/KHAand multiply youמֵאֲבֹתֶיךָ׃me/a/vo/TE/khamore than your fathers

   And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

6. 6

   וּמָלu/MALand will circumciseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֶת־לְבָבְךָet-le/va/ve/KHAyour heartוְאֶת־לְבַבve/ET-le/VAVand the heart ofזַרְעֶךָzar/E/khayour seedלְאַהֲבָהle/a/ha/VAto loveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָbe/KHOL-le/va/ve/KHAwith all your heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשְׁךָu/ve/KHOL-naf/she/KHAand with all your soulלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatחַיֶּיךָ׃chay/YE/khayou may live

   And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

7. 7

   וְנָתַןve/na/TANand will putיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֵת־כׇּל־הָאָלוֹתet-kol-ha/a/LOTall the cursesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseעַל־אֹיְבֶיךָal-oy/VE/khaon your enemiesוְעַל־שֹׂנְאֶיךָve/AL-son/E/khaand on those who hate youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoרְדָפוּךָ׃re/da/FU/khapersecuted you

   And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

8. 8

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתָשׁוּבta/SHUVshall returnוְשָׁמַעְתָּve/sha/ma/TAand hearkenבְּקוֹלbe/KOLto the voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand doאֶת־כׇּל־מִצְוֺתָיוet-kol-mits/vo/TAYVall His commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youהַיּוֹם׃hay/YOMthis day

   And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

9. 9

   וְהוֹתִירְךָve/ho/ti/re/KHAand will make you aboundיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe work ofיָדֶךָya/DE/khayour handבִּפְרִיbif/RIin the fruit ofבִטְנְךָvit/ne/KHAyour wombוּבִפְרִיu/vif/RIand in the fruit ofבְהֶמְתְּךָve/hem/te/KHAyour livestockוּבִפְרִיu/vif/RIand in the fruit ofאַדְמָתְךָad/ma/te/KHAyour landלְטֹבָהle/to/VAfor goodכִּיkiforיָשׁוּבya/SHUVwill againיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָשׂוּשׂla/SUSrejoiceעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaover youלְטוֹבle/TOVfor goodכַּאֲשֶׁר־שָׂשׂka/a/SHER-sasas He rejoicedעַל־אֲבֹתֶיךָ׃al-a/vo/TE/khaover your fathers

   And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

10. 10

    כִּיkiifתִשְׁמַעtish/MAyou hearkenבְּקוֹלbe/KOLto the voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepמִצְוֺתָיוmits/vo/TAYVHis commandmentsוְחֻקֹּתָיוve/chuk/ko/TAYVand His statutesהַכְּתוּבָהhak/ke/tu/VAthat are writtenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiifתָשׁוּבta/SHUVyou turnאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָbe/KHOL-le/va/ve/KHAwith all your heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃u/ve/KHOL-naf/SHE/khaand with all your soul

    If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

11. 11

    כִּיkiforהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayלֹא־נִפְלֵאתlo-nif/LETis not too hardהִואhivitמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfor youוְלֹאve/LOnorרְחֹקָהre/cho/KAfar offהִוא׃hivis it

    For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

12. 12

    לֹאlonotבַשָּׁמַיִםvash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensהִואhivis itלֵאמֹרle/MORthat you should sayמִיmiwhoיַעֲלֶה־לָּנוּya/a/LE-LA/nushall go up for usהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mato heavenוְיִקָּחֶהָve/yik/ka/CHE/haand bring itלָּנוּLA/nuto usוְיַשְׁמִעֵנוּve/yash/mi/E/nuand make us hearאֹתָהּo/TAitוְנַעֲשֶׂנָּה׃ve/na/a/SEN/nathat we may do it

    It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13. 13

    וְלֹא־מֵעֵבֶרve/LO-me/E/vernor beyondלַיָּםlay/YAMthe seaהִואhivis itלֵאמֹרle/MORthat you should sayמִיmiwhoיַעֲבׇר־לָנוּya/a/VOR-LA/nushall go over for usאֶל־עֵבֶרel-E/verto the other side ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוְיִקָּחֶהָve/yik/ka/CHE/haand bring itלָּנוּLA/nuto usוְיַשְׁמִעֵנוּve/yash/mi/E/nuand make us hearאֹתָהּo/TAitוְנַעֲשֶׂנָּה׃ve/na/a/SEN/nathat we may do it

    Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14. 14

    כִּי־קָרוֹבki-ka/ROVbut nearאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARis the wordמְאֹדme/ODveryבְּפִיךָbe/FI/khain your mouthוּבִלְבָבְךָu/vil/va/ve/KHAand in your heartלַעֲשֹׂתוֹ׃la/a/so/TOto do it

    But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15. 15

    רְאֵהre/Eseeנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have setלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאֶת־הַחַיִּיםet-ha/chay/YIMlifeוְאֶת־הַטּוֹבve/ET-hat/TOVand goodוְאֶת־הַמָּוֶתve/ET-ham/MA/vetand deathוְאֶת־הָרָע׃ve/ET-ha/RAand evil

    See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16. 16

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERin thatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayלְאַהֲבָהle/a/ha/VAto loveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto walkבִּדְרָכָיוbid/ra/KHAYVin His waysוְלִשְׁמֹרve/lish/MORand keepמִצְוֺתָיוmits/vo/TAYVHis commandmentsוְחֻקֹּתָיוve/chuk/ko/TAYVand His statutesוּמִשְׁפָּטָיוu/mish/pa/TAYVand His judgmentsוְחָיִיתָve/cha/YI/tathat you may liveוְרָבִיתָve/ra/VI/taand multiplyוּבֵרַכְךָu/ve/rakh/KHAand may bless youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landאֲשֶׁר־אַתָּהa/SHER-at/TAwhich youבָא־שָׁמָּהva-SHAM/maare going in thereלְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃le/rish/TAto possess it

    In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17. 17

    וְאִם־יִפְנֶהve/IM-yif/NEbut if turns awayלְבָבְךָle/va/ve/KHAyour heartוְלֹאve/LOand notתִשְׁמָעtish/MAyou hearkenוְנִדַּחְתָּve/nid/dach/TAbut are drawn awayוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתָve/hish/ta/cha/VI/taand worshipלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםle/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other godsוַעֲבַדְתָּם׃va/a/vad/TAMand you will serve them

    But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18. 18

    הִגַּדְתִּיhig/GAD/tiI declareלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayכִּיkithatאָבֹדa/VODperishתֹּאבֵדוּןto/ve/DUNyou shall perishלֹא־תַאֲרִיכֻןlo-ta/a/ri/KHUNyou shall not prolongיָמִיםya/MIMdaysעַל־הָאֲדָמָהal-ha/a/da/MAupon the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאַתָּהat/TAyouעֹבֵרo/VERare crossing overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanלָבוֹאla/VOto go inשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereלְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃le/rish/TAto possess it

    I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19. 19

    הַעִדֹתִיha/i/DO/tiI call to witnessבָכֶםva/KHEMagainst youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםet-hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the earthהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeוְהַמָּוֶתve/ham/MA/vetand deathנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have setלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youהַבְּרָכָהhab/be/ra/KHAblessingוְהַקְּלָלָהve/hak/ke/la/LAand curseוּבָחַרְתָּu/va/char/TAtherefore chooseבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMlifeלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּחְיֶהtich/YEmay liveאַתָּהat/TAyouוְזַרְעֶךָ׃ve/zar/E/khaand your seed

    I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

    לְאַהֲבָהle/a/ha/VAto loveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearkenבְּקֹלוֹbe/ko/LOto His voiceוּלְדׇבְקָה־בוֹu/le/dov/KA-voand to cleave to HimכִּיkiforהוּאhuHe isחַיֶּיךָchay/YE/khayour lifeוְאֹרֶךְve/O/rekhand the length ofיָמֶיךָya/ME/khayour daysלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetthat you may dwellעַל־הָאֲדָמָהal-ha/a/da/MAin the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAsworeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלַאֲבֹתֶיךָla/a/vo/TE/khato your fathersלְאַבְרָהָםle/Av/ra/HAMto Abrahamלְיִצְחָקle/Yits/CHAKto Isaacוּלְיַעֲקֹבu/Le/ya/a/KOVand to Jacobלָתֵתla/TETto giveלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
