   Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meאַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAbe not afraidאֹתוֹo/TOhimכִּיkiforבְיָדְךָve/ya/de/KHAinto your handנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have deliveredאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְאֶת־כׇּל־עַמּוֹve/ET-kol-am/MOand all his peopleוְאֶת־אַרְצוֹve/ET-ar/TSOand his landוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall doלּוֹloto himכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou didלְסִיחֹןle/Si/CHONto SihonמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoritesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVdweltבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹן׃be/Chesh/BONin Heshbon

   And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

   וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENso deliveredיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godבְּיָדֵנוּbe/ya/DE/nuinto our handגַּםgamalsoאֶת־עוֹגet-OgOgמֶלֶךְ־הַבָּשָׁןME/lekh-Hab/ba/SHANthe king of Bashanוְאֶת־כׇּל־עַמּוֹve/ET-kol-am/MOand all his peopleוַנַּכֵּהוּvan/nak/KE/huand we struck himעַד־בִּלְתִּיad-bil/TIuntil noneהִשְׁאִיר־לוֹhish/IR-lowas left himשָׂרִיד׃sa/RIDremaining

   So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

   וַנִּלְכֹּדvan/nil/KODand we tookאֶת־כׇּל־עָרָיוet-kol-a/RAYVall his citiesבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatלֹאlonotהָיְתָהha/ye/TAthere wasקִרְיָהkir/YAa cityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־לָקַחְנוּlo-la/KACH/nuwe did not takeמֵאִתָּםme/it/TAMfrom themשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyעִירircitiesכׇּל־חֶבֶלkol-CHE/velall the region ofאַרְגֹּבAr/GOVArgobמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetthe kingdom ofעוֹגOgOgבַּבָּשָׁן׃bab/Ba/SHANin Bashan

   And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

   כׇּל־אֵלֶּהkol-EL/leall theseעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesבְּצֻרֹתbe/tsu/ROTfortifiedחוֹמָהcho/MAwith wallsגְבֹהָהge/vo/HAhighדְּלָתַיִםde/la/TA/yimgatesוּבְרִיחַu/ve/RI/achand barsלְבַדle/VADbesidesמֵעָרֵיme/a/REthe towns ofהַפְּרָזִיhap/pe/ra/ZIthe open countryהַרְבֵּהhar/BEa great manyמְאֹד׃me/ODvery

   All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.

   וַנַּחֲרֵםvan/na/cha/REMand we utterly destroyedאוֹתָםo/TAMthemכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂינוּa/SI/nuwe didלְסִיחֹןle/Si/CHONto SihonמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofחֶשְׁבּוֹןChesh/BONHeshbonהַחֲרֵםha/cha/REMutterly destroyingכׇּל־עִירkol-irevery cityמְתִםme/TIMthe menהַנָּשִׁיםhan/na/SHIMthe womenוְהַטָּף׃ve/hat/TAFand the little ones

   And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.

   וְכׇל־הַבְּהֵמָהve/KHOL-hab/be/he/MAbut all the cattleוּשְׁלַלu/she/LALand the spoil ofהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesבַּזּוֹנוּbaz/ZO/nuwe took as spoilלָנוּ׃LA/nufor ourselves

   But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

   וַנִּקַּחvan/nik/KACHand we tookבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landמִיַּדmiy/YADout of the hand ofשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoritesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבְּעֵבֶרbe/E/verbeyondהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanמִנַּחַלmin/NA/chalfrom the valley ofאַרְנֹןAr/NONArnonעַד־הַרad-Harto Mountחֶרְמוֹן׃Cher/MONHermon

   And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;

    כֹּלkolallעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofהַמִּישֹׁרham/mi/SHORthe plainוְכׇל־הַגִּלְעָדve/KHOL-hag/gil/ADand all Gileadוְכׇל־הַבָּשָׁןve/KHOL-hab/ba/SHANand all Bashanעַד־סַלְכָהad-Sal/KHAas far as Salchahוְאֶדְרֶעִיve/Ed/RE/iand Edreiעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetthe kingdom ofעוֹגOgOgבַּבָּשָׁן׃bab/Ba/SHANin Bashan

    All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

    For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

    וְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisיָרַשְׁנוּya/RASH/nuwe possessedבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatמֵעֲרֹעֵרme/A/ro/ERfrom Aroerאֲשֶׁר־עַל־נַחַלa/SHER-al-NA/chalwhich is by the valley ofאַרְנֹןAr/NONArnonוַחֲצִיva/cha/TSIand halfהַר־הַגִּלְעָדhaR-hag/gil/ADthe hill country of Gileadוְעָרָיוve/a/RAYVand its citiesנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָראוּבֵנִיlaR/u/ve/NIto the Reubenitesוְלַגָּדִי׃ve/Lag/ga/DIand to the Gadites

    And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofהַגִּלְעָדHag/gil/ADGileadוְכׇל־הַבָּשָׁןve/KHOL-hab/ba/SHANand all Bashanמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetthe kingdom ofעוֹגOgOgנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלַחֲצִיla/cha/TSIto the half ofשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetthe tribe ofהַמְנַשֶּׁהHam/nash/SHEManassehכֹּלkolallחֶבֶלCHE/velthe region ofהָאַרְגֹּבHa/ar/GOVArgobלְכׇל־הַבָּשָׁןle/KHOL-hab/ba/SHANwith all Bashanהַהוּאha/HUthatיִקָּרֵאyik/ka/REis calledאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofרְפָאִים׃Re/fa/IMRephaim

    And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

    יָאִירYa/IRJairבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהben-Me/nash/SHEson of Manassehלָקַחla/KACHtookאֶת־כׇּל־חֶבֶלet-kol-CHE/velall the region ofאַרְגֹּבAr/GOVArgobעַד־גְּבוּלad-ge/VULto the border ofהַגְּשׁוּרִיhag/Ge/shu/RIthe Geshuritesוְהַמַּעֲכָתִיve/ham/Ma/a/kha/TIand the Maachathitesוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־שְׁמוֹal-she/MOafter his own nameאֶת־הַבָּשָׁןet-Hab/ba/SHANBashanחַוֺּתChav/VOTHavvoth-יָאִירya/IRjairעַדadtoהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.

    וּלְמָכִירu/Le/ma/KHIRand to Machirנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveאֶת־הַגִּלְעָד׃et-Hag/gil/ADGilead

    And I gave Gilead unto Machir.

16. 16

    וְלָראוּבֵנִיve/Lar/u/ve/NIand to the Reubenitesוְלַגָּדִיve/Lag/ga/DIand to the Gaditesנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveמִן־הַגִּלְעָדmin-Hag/gil/ADfrom Gileadוְעַד־נַחַלve/AD-NA/chaland to the valley ofאַרְנֹןAr/NONArnonתּוֹךְtokhthe middle ofהַנַּחַלhan/NA/chalthe valleyוּגְבֻלu/ge/VULand the borderוְעַדve/ADand toיַבֹּקYab/BOKJabbokהַנַּחַלhan/NA/chalthe valleyגְּבוּלge/VULthe border ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofעַמּוֹן׃Am/MONAmmon

    And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

    וְהָעֲרָבָהve/Ha/a/ra/VAand the Arabahוְהַיַּרְדֵּןve/hay/Yar/DENand the Jordanוּגְבֻלu/ge/VULand the borderמִכִּנֶּרֶתmik/Kin/NE/retfrom Chinnerethוְעַדve/ADand toיָםyamthe sea ofהָעֲרָבָהha/A/ra/VAthe Arabahיָםyamthe sea ofהַמֶּלַחHam/ME/lachSaltתַּחַתTA/chatunderאַשְׁדֹּתash/DOTthe slopes ofהַפִּסְגָּהHap/pis/GAPisgahמִזְרָחָה׃miz/RA/chaeastward

    The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdoth-pisgah eastward.

    וָאֲצַוva/a/TSAVand I commandedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godנָתַןna/TANhas givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְרִשְׁתָּהּle/rish/TAto possess itחֲלוּצִיםcha/lu/TSIMarmedתַּעַבְרוּta/av/RUyou shall pass overלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brethrenבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelכׇּל־בְּנֵי־חָיִל׃kol-be/NE-CHA/yilall the men of valor

    And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.

19. 19

    רַקrakonlyנְשֵׁיכֶםne/she/KHEMyour wivesוְטַפְּכֶםve/tap/pe/KHEMand your little onesוּמִקְנֵכֶםu/mik/ne/KHEMand your livestockיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּי־מִקְנֶהki-mik/NEthat livestockרַבravmuchלָכֶםla/KHEMyou haveיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUshall abideבְּעָרֵיכֶםbe/a/re/KHEMin your citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶם׃la/KHEMyou have

    But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;

    עַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־יָנִיחַa/SHER-ya/NI/achhas given restיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלַאֲחֵיכֶםla/a/che/KHEMto your brethrenכָּכֶםka/KHEMas to youוְיָרְשׁוּve/ya/re/SHUand they also possessגַם־הֵםgam-hemthey tooאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godנֹתֵןno/TENis givingלָהֶםla/HEMto themבְּעֵבֶרbe/E/verbeyondהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanוְשַׁבְתֶּםve/shav/TEMthen you shall returnאִישׁishevery manלִירֻשָּׁתוֹli/rush/sha/TOto his possessionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

    וְאֶת־יְהוֹשׁוּעַve/ET-ye/ho/SHU/aand Joshuaצִוֵּיתִיtsiv/VE/tiI commandedבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעֵינֶיךָe/NE/khayour eyesהָרֹאֹתha/ro/OThave seenאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatעָשָׂהa/SAdidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godלִשְׁנֵיlish/NEto the twoהַמְּלָכִיםham/me/la/KHIMthe kingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכֵּן־יַעֲשֶׂהken-ya/a/SEso shall doיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְכׇל־הַמַּמְלָכוֹתle/KHOL-ham/mam/la/KHOTto all the kingdomsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאַתָּהat/TAyouעֹבֵרo/VERare passing toשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

    And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.

22. 22

    לֹאlonotתִּירָאוּםti/ra/UMfear themכִּיkiforיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour GodהוּאhuHeהַנִּלְחָםhan/nil/CHAMis the one who fightsלָכֶם׃la/KHEMfor you

    Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

23. 23

    וָאֶתְחַנַּןva/et/chan/NANand I pleadedאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִואha/HIVthatלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

24. 24

    אֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאַתָּהat/TAYouהַחִלּוֹתָha/chil/LO/tahave begunלְהַרְאוֹתle/har/OTto showאֶת־עַבְדְּךָet-av/de/KHAYour servantאֶת־גׇּדְלְךָet-god/le/KHAYour greatnessוְאֶת־יָדְךָve/ET-ya/de/KHAand Your handהַחֲזָקָהha/cha/za/KAmightyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERforמִי־אֵלmi-elwhat god is thereבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensוּבָאָרֶץu/va/A/retsand in the earthאֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂהa/SHER-ya/a/SEwho can doכְמַעֲשֶׂיךָkhe/ma/a/SE/khaaccording to Your worksוְכִגְבוּרֹתֶךָ׃ve/khig/vu/ro/TE/khaand like Your mighty deeds

    O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

25. 25

    אֶעְבְּרָה־נָּאe/be/RA-nalet me go over pleaseוְאֶרְאֶהve/er/Eand seeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landהַטּוֹבָהhat/to/VAgoodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּעֵבֶרbe/E/verbeyondהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanהָהָרha/HARhill countryהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodlyהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְהַלְּבָנֹן׃ve/hal/Le/va/NONand Lebanon

    I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

26. 26

    וַיִּתְעַבֵּרvay/yit/ab/BERbut was angryיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּיbiwith meלְמַעַנְכֶםle/ma/an/KHEMfor your sakesוְלֹאve/LOand would notשָׁמַעsha/MAhearאֵלָיe/LAYmeוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meרַב־לָךְrav-lakhlet it suffice youאַל־תּוֹסֶףal-TO/sefdo not againדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֵלַיe/LAYto meעוֹדodmoreבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARof matterהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

27. 27

    עֲלֵהa/LEgo upרֹאשׁroshto the top ofהַפִּסְגָּהHap/pis/GAPisgahוְשָׂאve/SAand lift upעֵינֶיךָe/NE/khayour eyesיָמָּהYAM/mawestwardוְצָפֹנָהve/tsa/FO/naand northwardוְתֵימָנָהve/te/MA/naand southwardוּמִזְרָחָהu/miz/RA/chaand eastwardוּרְאֵהu/re/Eand seeבְעֵינֶיךָve/e/NE/khawith your own eyesכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notתַעֲבֹרta/a/VORshall you go overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

28. 28

    וְצַוve/TSAVbut chargeאֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁעַet-Ye/ho/SHU/aJoshuaוְחַזְּקֵהוּve/chaz/ze/KE/huand encourage himוְאַמְּצֵהוּve/am/me/TSE/huand strengthen himכִּי־הוּאki-hufor heיַעֲבֹרya/a/VORshall go overלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְהוּאve/HUand heיַנְחִילyan/CHILshall cause to inheritאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּרְאֶה׃tir/Eyou shall see

    But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

    וַנֵּשֶׁבvan/NE/shevso we abodeבַּגָּיְאbag/GAYin the valleyמוּלmuloppositeבֵּיתBetBeth-פְּעוֹר׃pe/ORpeor

    So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.
