    וַיְצַוand commandedמֹשֶׁהMosesוְזִקְנֵיand the elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶת־הָעָםthe peopleלֵאמֹרsayingשָׁמֹרsurelyאֶת־כׇּל־הַמִּצְוָהall the commandmentאֲשֶׁרwhichאָנֹכִיIמְצַוֶּהcommandאֶתְכֶםyouהַיּוֹם׃the day

    And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

    וְהָיָהand beבַּיּוֹםin the dayאֲשֶׁרwhichתַּעַבְרוּyou shall pass overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godנֹתֵןgivingלָךְto youוַהֲקֵמֹתָand you will set upלְךָfor youאֲבָנִיםstonesגְּדֹלוֹתgreatוְשַׂדְתָּand you will whitewashאֹתָםthemבַּשִּׂיד׃with the lime

    And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

    וְכָתַבְתָּand you will writeעֲלֵיהֶןupon themאֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיall the words ofהַתּוֹרָהthe Lawהַזֹּאתthisבְּעׇבְרֶךָwhen you pass overלְמַעַןin order thatאֲשֶׁרwhichתָּבֹאcomesאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godנֹתֵןgivingלְךָfor youאֶרֶץa landזָבַתflowingחָלָבmilkוּדְבַשׁand honeyכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵי־אֲבֹתֶיךָGod of your fathersלָךְ׃to you

    And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

    וְהָיָהand beבְּעׇבְרְכֶםwhen you have passed overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanתָּקִימוּyou will set upאֶת־הָאֲבָנִיםthe stonesהָאֵלֶּהtheseאֲשֶׁרwhichאָנֹכִיIמְצַוֶּהcommandאֶתְכֶםyouהַיּוֹםthe dayבְּהַרon the mount ofעֵיבָלEbalוְשַׂדְתָּand you will whitewashאוֹתָםthemבַּשִּׂיד׃with the lime

    Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.

    וּבָנִיתָand you will buildשָּׁםthereמִזְבֵּחַan altarלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godמִזְבַּחthe altar ofאֲבָנִיםstonesלֹא־תָנִיףnot you will wieldעֲלֵיהֶםupon themבַּרְזֶל׃iron

    And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

    אֲבָנִיםstonesשְׁלֵמוֹתcompleteתִּבְנֶהyou shall buildאֶת־מִזְבַּחthe altar ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godוְהַעֲלִיתָand you will offer upעָלָיוupon himעוֹלֹתburnt offeringsלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃your God

    Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

    וְזָבַחְתָּand you will sacrificeשְׁלָמִיםpeace offeringsוְאָכַלְתָּand you shall eatשָּׁםthereוְשָׂמַחְתָּand you will rejoiceלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃your God

    And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

    וְכָתַבְתָּand you will writeעַל־הָאֲבָנִיםupon the stonesאֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיall the words ofהַתּוֹרָהthe Lawהַזֹּאתthisבַּאֵרvery plainlyהֵיטֵב׃well

    And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeמֹשֶׁהMosesוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםand the priestsהַלְוִיִּםthe Levitesאֶלtoכׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵלall Israelלֵאמֹרsayingהַסְכֵּתkeep silentוּשְׁמַעand hearיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelהַיּוֹםthe dayהַזֶּהthisנִהְיֵיתָyou have becomeלְעָםpeopleלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃your God

    And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

    וְשָׁמַעְתָּand you heardבְּקוֹלthe voice ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godוְעָשִׂיתָand doאֶת־מִצְוֺתָוHis commandmentsוְאֶת־חֻקָּיוand His statutesאֲשֶׁרwhichאָנֹכִיIמְצַוְּךָam commanding youהַיּוֹם׃the day

    Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

    וַיְצַוand commandedמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶת־הָעָםthe peopleבַּיּוֹםin the dayהַהוּאthatלֵאמֹר׃saying

    And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

  12. 12

    אֵלֶּהtheseיַעַמְדוּthey standלְבָרֵךְto blessאֶת־הָעָםthe peopleעַל־הַרupon mountגְּרִזִיםGerizimבְּעׇבְרְכֶםwhen you have passed overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןthe JordanשִׁמְעוֹןSimeonוְלֵוִיand Leviוִיהוּדָהand Judahוְיִשָּׂשכָרand Issacharוְיוֹסֵףand Josephוּבִנְיָמִן׃and Benjamin

    These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

  13. 13

    וְאֵלֶּהand theseיַעַמְדוּthey standעל־הַקְּלָלָהfor the curseבְּהַרin mountעֵיבָלEbalרְאוּבֵןReubenגָּדGadוְאָשֵׁרand Asherוּזְבוּלֻןand ZebulunדָּןDanוְנַפְתָּלִי׃and Naphtali

    And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

  14. 14

    וְעָנוּand they will answerהַלְוִיִּםthe Levitesוְאָמְרוּshall sayאֶל־כׇּל־אִישׁto all the men ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelקוֹלa voiceרָם׃loud

    And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

    אָרוּרcursed isהָאִישׁthe manאֲשֶׁרwhichיַעֲשֶׂהhe shall doפֶסֶלany graven imageוּמַסֵּכָהand a molten imageתּוֹעֲבַתan abomination beforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDמַעֲשֵׂהwork ofיְדֵיhands ofחָרָשׁa craftsmanוְשָׂםand makesבַּסָּתֶרin secretוְעָנוּand they will answerכׇל־הָעָםall the peopleוְאָמְרוּshall sayאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

  16. 16

    אָרוּרcursed isמַקְלֶהhe that sets light byאָבִיוhis fatherוְאִמּוֹand his motherוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  17. 17

    אָרוּרcursed isמַסִּיגone who displacesגְּבוּלborder ofרֵעֵהוּhis neighborוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

    אָרוּרcursed isמַשְׁגֶּהone who leads astrayעִוֵּרthe blindבַּדָּרֶךְby the wayוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  19. 19

    אָרוּרcursed isמַטֶּהwho turns asideמִשְׁפַּטthe judgment ofגֵּר־יָתוֹםof the stranger fatherlessוְאַלְמָנָהand a widowוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָם׃all the people

    Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  20. 20

    אָרוּרcursed isשֹׁכֵבlyingעִם־אֵשֶׁתwith the wife ofאָבִיוhis fatherכִּיbecauseגִלָּהhe uncoveredכְּנַףthe skirt ofאָבִיוhis fatherוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  21. 21

    אָרוּרcursed isשֹׁכֵבlyingעִם־כׇּל־בְּהֵמָהwith all beastוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

    אָרוּרcursed isשֹׁכֵבlyingעִם־אֲחֹתוֹwith his sisterבַּת־אָבִיוthe daughter of his fatherאוֹorבַת־אִמּוֹthe daughter of his motherוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  23. 23

    אָרוּרcursed isשֹׁכֵבlyingעִם־חֹתַנְתּוֹwith his mother in lawוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  24. 24

    אָרוּרcursed isמַכֵּהone who will strikeרֵעֵהוּhis neighborבַּסָּתֶרin secretוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  25. 25

    אָרוּרcursed isלֹקֵחַhe that takesשֹׁחַדa bribeלְהַכּוֹתto slayנֶפֶשׁa personדָּםbloodנָקִיblamelessוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

  26. 26

    אָרוּרcursed isאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יָקִיםnot shall raise upאֶת־דִּבְרֵיthe words ofהַתּוֹרָה־הַזֹּאתthis Lawלַעֲשׂוֹתto doאוֹתָםthemוְאָמַרand saidכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאָמֵן׃amen

    Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
