   לֹא־תִזְבַּחlo-tiz/BACHyou shall not sacrificeלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godשׁוֹרshoran oxוָשֶׂהva/SEand a sheepאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichיִהְיֶהyih/YEisבוֹvoin itמוּםmuma blemishכֹּלkolanyדָּבָרda/VARthingרָעraevilכִּיkiforתוֹעֲבַתto/a/VATan abomination toיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godהוּא׃huit is

   Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the LORD thy God any bullock, or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

   כִּי־יִמָּצֵאki-yim/ma/TSEif there is foundבְקִרְבְּךָve/kir/be/KHAamong youבְּאַחַדbe/a/CHADwithin any ofשְׁעָרֶיךָshe/a/RE/khayour gatesאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENis givingלָךְlakhto youאִישׁisha manאוֹ־אִשָּׁהo-ish/SHAor a womanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhas doneאֶת־הָרַעet-ha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה־אֱלֹהֶיךָAdonai-e/lo/HE/khathe LORD your Godלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORin transgressingבְּרִיתוֹ׃be/ri/TOHis covenant

   If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

   וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand has goneוַיַּעֲבֹדvay/ya/a/VODand servedאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand worshipedלָהֶםla/HEMto themוְלַשֶּׁמֶשׁve/lash/SHE/meshand to the sunאוֹoorלַיָּרֵחַlay/ya/RE/achto the moonאוֹoorלְכׇל־צְבָאle/KHOL-tse/VAto any of the host ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־צִוִּיתִי׃lo-tsiv/VI/tiI have not commanded

   And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

   וְהֻגַּד־לְךָve/hug/GAD-le/KHAand it is told youוְשָׁמָעְתָּve/sha/MA/taand you hear of itוְדָרַשְׁתָּve/da/rash/TAthen you shall inquireהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֱמֶתe/METtrueנָכוֹןna/KHONand certainהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAhas been doneהַתּוֹעֵבָהhat/to/e/VAthe abominationהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃be/Yis/ra/ELin Israel

   And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:

   וְהוֹצֵאתָve/ho/tse/TAthen you shall bring forthאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manהַהוּאha/HUthatאוֹoorאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanהַהִואha/HIVthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעָשׂוּa/SUhave committedאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהָרָעha/RAwickedהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֶל־שְׁעָרֶיךָel-she/a/RE/khato your gatesאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manאוֹoorאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanוּסְקַלְתָּםu/se/kal/TAMand shall stone themבָּאֲבָנִיםba/a/va/NIMwith stonesוָמֵתוּ׃va/ME/tuthat they die

   Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

   עַל־פִּיal-piat the mouth ofשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesאוֹoorשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesיוּמַתyu/MATshall be put to deathהַמֵּתham/METhe who is to dieלֹאlonotיוּמַתyu/MATshall be put to deathעַל־פִּיal-piat the mouth ofעֵדedwitnessאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

   At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

   יַדyadthe hand ofהָעֵדִיםha/e/DIMthe witnessesתִּהְיֶה־בּוֹtih/YE-boshall be upon himבָרִאשֹׁנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstלַהֲמִיתוֹla/ha/mi/TOto put him to deathוְיַדve/YADand the hand ofכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleבָּאַחֲרֹנָהba/a/cha/ro/NAlastוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִקִּרְבֶּךָ׃mik/kir/BE/khafrom among you

   The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

   If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

   וּבָאתָu/VA/taand you shall comeאֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםel-hak/ko/ha/NIMto the priestsהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesוְאֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵטve/EL-hash/sho/FETand to the judgeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseוְדָרַשְׁתָּve/da/rash/TAand inquireוְהִגִּידוּve/hig/GI/duand they shall showלְךָle/KHAyouאֵת־דְּבַרet-de/VARthe sentence ofהַמִּשְׁפָּט׃ham/mish/PATthe judgment

   And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:

10. 10

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall doעַל־פִּיal-piaccording toהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe sentenceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַגִּידוּyag/GI/duthey showלְךָle/KHAyouמִן־הַמָּקוֹםmin-ham/ma/KOMfrom the placeהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְשָׁמַרְתָּve/sha/mar/TAand you shall observeלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיוֹרוּךָ׃yo/RU/khathey teach you

    And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:

11. 11

    עַל־פִּיal-piaccording toהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיוֹרוּךָyo/RU/khathey shall teach youוְעַל־הַמִּשְׁפָּטve/AL-ham/mish/PATand according to the judgmentאֲשֶׁר־יֹאמְרוּa/SHER-yo/me/RUwhich they shall tellלְךָle/KHAyouתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doלֹאlonotתָסוּרta/SURshall you turn asideמִן־הַדָּבָרmin-had/da/VARfrom the sentenceאֲשֶׁר־יַגִּידוּa/SHER-yag/GI/duwhich they showלְךָle/KHAyouיָמִיןya/MINto the rightוּשְׂמֹאל׃u/se/MOLor to the left

    According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.

    וְהָאִישׁve/ha/ISHand the manאֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂהa/SHER-ya/a/SEwho actsבְזָדוֹןve/za/DONwith presumptionלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIand will notשְׁמֹעַshe/MO/ahearkenאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןel-hak/ko/HENto the priestהָעֹמֵדha/o/MEDwho standsלְשָׁרֶתle/SHA/retto ministerשָׁםshamthereאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאוֹoorאֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵטel-hash/sho/FETto the judgeוּמֵתu/METshall dieהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manהַהוּאha/HUthatוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִיִּשְׂרָאֵל׃miy/Yis/ra/ELfrom Israel

    And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

13. 13

    וְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Ushall hearוְיִרָאוּve/yi/RA/uand fearוְלֹאve/LOand notיְזִידוּןye/zi/DUNact presumptuouslyעוֹד׃odagain

    And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.

14. 14

    כִּי־תָבֹאki-ta/VOwhen you comeאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsinto the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENis givingלָךְlakhto youוִירִשְׁתָּהּvi/rish/TAand possess itוְיָשַׁבְתָּהve/ya/SHAV/taand dwellבָּהּbain itוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאָשִׂימָהa/SI/maI will setעָלַיa/LAYover meמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingכְּכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםke/KHOL-hag/go/YIMlike all the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichסְבִיבֹתָי׃se/vi/vo/TAYare round about me

    When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;

    שׂוֹםsomsetתָּשִׂיםta/SIMyou shall setעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaover youמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבּוֹbohimמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongאַחֶיךָa/CHE/khayour brothersתָּשִׂיםta/SIMyou shall setעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaover youמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingלֹאlonotתוּכַלtu/KHALyou mayלָתֵתla/TETsetעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaover youאִישׁisha manנׇכְרִיnokh/RIa foreignerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹא־אָחִיךָlo-a/CHI/khanot your brotherהוּא׃huis he

    Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.

16. 16

    רַקrakonlyלֹא־יַרְבֶּה־לּוֹlo-yar/BE-lohe shall not multiply for himselfסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesוְלֹא־יָשִׁיבve/LO-ya/SHIVnor cause to returnאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato Egyptלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatהַרְבּוֹתhar/BOThe may multiplyסוּסsushorsesוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaifor the LORDאָמַרa/MARhas saidלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֹאlonotתֹסִפוּןto/si/FUNshall you againלָשׁוּבla/SHUVreturnבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhin the wayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעוֹד׃odhenceforth

    But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

17. 17

    וְלֹאve/LOneitherיַרְבֶּה־לּוֹyar/BE-loshall he multiply for himselfנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwivesוְלֹאve/LOthat notיָסוּרya/SURturn awayלְבָבוֹle/va/VOhis heartוְכֶסֶףve/KHE/sefand silverוְזָהָבve/za/HAVand goldלֹאlonotיַרְבֶּה־לּוֹyar/BE-loshall he multiply for himselfמְאֹד׃me/ODgreatly

    Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

18. 18

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכְשִׁבְתּוֹkhe/shiv/TOwhen he sitsעַלaluponכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe throne ofמַמְלַכְתּוֹmam/lakh/TOhis kingdomוְכָתַבve/KHA/tavthat he shall writeלוֹlofor himselfאֶת־מִשְׁנֵהet-mish/NEa copy ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin a bookמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom beforeהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsהַלְוִיִּם׃Hal/viy/YIMthe Levites

    And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:

19. 19

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוְקָרָאve/ka/RAand he shall readבוֹvoin itכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEall the days ofחַיָּיוchay/YAYVhis lifeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִלְמַדyil/MADhe may learnלְיִרְאָהle/yir/Ato fearאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVhis Godלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיet-kol-div/REall the words ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְאֶת־הַחֻקִּיםve/ET-ha/chuk/KIMand the statutesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלַעֲשֹׂתָם׃la/a/so/TAMto observe them

    And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:

20. 20

    לְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notרוּם־לְבָבוֹrum-le/va/VOhis heart be lifted upמֵאֶחָיוme/e/CHAYVabove his brethrenוּלְבִלְתִּיu/le/vil/TIand that notסוּרsurhe turn asideמִן־הַמִּצְוָהmin-ham/mits/VAfrom the commandmentיָמִיןya/MINto the rightוּשְׂמֹאולus/MOLor to the leftלְמַעַןle/MA/anto the end thatיַאֲרִיךְya/a/RIKHhe may prolongיָמִיםya/MIMhis daysעַל־מַמְלַכְתּוֹal-mam/lakh/TOin his kingdomהוּאhuheוּבָנָיוu/va/NAYVand his sonsבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revin the midst ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
