   בָּנִיםba/NIMchildrenאַתֶּםat/TEMare youלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiof the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godלֹאlonotתִתְגֹּדְדוּtit/god/DUshall you cut yourselvesוְלֹא־תָשִׂימוּve/LO-ta/SI/munor makeקׇרְחָהkor/CHAbaldnessבֵּיןbenbetweenעֵינֵיכֶםe/ne/KHEMyour eyesלָמֵת׃la/METfor the dead

   Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

   כִּיkiforעַםama peopleקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyאַתָּהat/TAare youלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוּבְךָu/ve/KHAand youבָּחַרba/CHARhas chosenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beלוֹloHisלְעַםle/AMa peopleסְגֻלָּהse/gul/LAtreasuredמִכֹּלmik/KOLabove allהָעַמִּיםha/am/MIMthe peoplesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהָאֲדָמָה׃ha/a/da/MAthe earth

   For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

   לֹאlonotתֹאכַלto/KHALshall you eatכׇּל־תּוֹעֵבָה׃kol-to/e/VAany abominable thing

   Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4. 4

   זֹאתzotthese areהַבְּהֵמָהhab/be/he/MAthe beastsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתֹּאכֵלוּto/KHE/luyou may eatשׁוֹרshoran oxשֵׂהsethe sheep ofכְשָׂבִיםkhe/sa/VIMlambsוְשֵׂהve/SEand the young ofעִזִּים׃iz/ZIMgoats

   These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

   אַיָּלay/YALthe deerוּצְבִיu/tse/VIand the gazelleוְיַחְמוּרve/yach/MURand roe deerוְאַקּוֹve/ak/KOand wild goatוְדִישֹׁןve/di/SHONand ibexוּתְאוֹu/te/Oand antelopeוָזָמֶר׃va/ZA/merand mountain sheep

   The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

   וְכׇל־בְּהֵמָהve/KHOL-be/he/MAand every beastמַפְרֶסֶתmaf/RE/setthat partsפַּרְסָהpar/SAthe hoofוְשֹׁסַעַתve/sho/SA/atand cleavesשֶׁסַעSHE/sathe cleft ofשְׁתֵּיshtetwoפְרָסוֹתfe/ra/SOThoovesמַעֲלַתma/a/LATand brings upגֵּרָהge/RAthe cudבַּבְּהֵמָהbab/be/he/MAamong the beastsאֹתָהּo/TAthatתֹּאכֵלוּ׃to/KHE/luyou may eat

   And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

   אַךְakhonlyאֶת־זֶהet-zethisלֹאlonotתֹאכְלוּto/khe/LUyou shall eatמִמַּעֲלֵיmim/ma/a/LEof those that bring upהַגֵּרָהhag/ge/RAthe cudוּמִמַּפְרִיסֵיu/mim/maf/ri/SEor of those that divideהַפַּרְסָהhap/par/SAthe hoofהַשְּׁסוּעָהhash/she/su/Aclovenאֶת־הַגָּמָלet-hag/ga/MALthe camelוְאֶת־הָאַרְנֶבֶתve/ET-ha/ar/NE/vetand the hareוְאֶת־הַשָּׁפָןve/ET-hash/sha/FANand the rock badgerכִּי־מַעֲלֵהki-ma/a/LEbecause bring upגֵרָהge/RAthe cudהֵמָּהHEM/matheyוּפַרְסָהu/far/SAbut the hoofלֹאlonotהִפְרִיסוּhif/RI/sudo they partטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMuncleanהֵםhemthey areלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

   Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.

   וְאֶת־הַחֲזִירve/ET-ha/cha/ZIRand the pigכִּי־מַפְרִיסki-maf/RISbecause partsפַּרְסָהpar/SAthe hoofהוּאhuitוְלֹאve/LObut notגֵרָהge/RAthe cudטָמֵאta/MEuncleanהוּאhuit isלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמִבְּשָׂרָםmib/be/sa/RAMtheir fleshלֹאlonotתֹאכֵלוּto/KHE/lushall you eatוּבְנִבְלָתָםu/ve/niv/la/TAMnor their carcassesלֹאlonotתִגָּעוּ׃tig/GA/utouch

   And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

   אֶת־זֶהet-zetheseתֹּאכְלוּto/khe/LUyou may eatמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimin the waterכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lothat haveסְנַפִּירse/nap/PIRfinsוְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂתve/kas/KE/setand scalesתֹּאכֵלוּ׃to/KHE/luyou may eat

   These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand whateverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵין־לוֹen-lohas notסְנַפִּירse/nap/PIRfinsוְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂתve/kas/KE/setand scalesלֹאlonotתֹאכֵלוּto/KHE/lushall you eatטָמֵאta/MEuncleanהוּאhuit isלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

    כׇּל־צִפּוֹרkol-tsip/PORevery birdטְהֹרָהte/ho/RAcleanתֹּאכֵלוּ׃to/KHE/luyou may eat

    Of all clean birds ye shall eat.

12. 12

    וְזֶהve/ZEbut these areאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichלֹא־תֹאכְלוּlo-to/khe/LUyou shall not eatמֵהֶםme/HEMof themהַנֶּשֶׁרhan/NE/sherthe eagleוְהַפֶּרֶסve/hap/PE/resand the bearded vultureוְהָעׇזְנִיָּה׃ve/ha/oz/niy/YAand the sea eagle

    But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

    וְהָרָאָהve/ha/ra/Aand the kiteוְאֶת־הָאַיָּהve/ET-ha/ay/YAand the falconוְהַדַּיָּהve/had/day/YAand the black kiteלְמִינָהּ׃le/mi/NAafter its kind

    And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,

14. 14

    וְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־עֹרֵבkol-o/REVevery ravenלְמִינוֹ׃le/mi/NOafter its kind

    And every raven after his kind,

15. 15

    וְאֵתve/ETandבַּתbatthe daughter ofהַיַּעֲנָהhay/ya/a/NAthe ostrichוְאֶת־הַתַּחְמָסve/ET-hat/tach/MASand the screech owlוְאֶת־הַשָּׁחַףve/ET-hash/SHA/chafand the gullוְאֶת־הַנֵּץve/ET-han/NETSand the hawkלְמִינֵהוּ׃le/mi/NE/huafter its kind

    And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

16. 16

    אֶת־הַכּוֹסet-hak/KOSthe little owlוְאֶת־הַיַּנְשׁוּףve/ET-hay/yan/SHUFand the great owlוְהַתִּנְשָׁמֶת׃ve/hat/tin/SHA/metand the barn owl

    The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

17. 17

    וְהַקָּאָתve/hak/ka/ATand the desert owlוְאֶת־הָרָחָמָהve/ET-ha/ra/CHA/maand the Egyptian vultureוְאֶת־הַשָּׁלָךְ׃ve/ET-hash/sha/LAKHand the cormorant

    And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,

18. 18

    וְהַחֲסִידָהve/ha/cha/si/DAand the storkוְהָאֲנָפָהve/ha/a/na/FAand the heronלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAafter its kindוְהַדּוּכִיפַתve/had/du/khi/FATand the hoopoeוְהָעֲטַלֵּף׃ve/ha/a/tal/LEFand the bat

    And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

19. 19

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand allשֶׁרֶץSHE/retsswarming thingהָעוֹףha/OFthat fliesטָמֵאta/MEuncleanהוּאhuisלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֹאlonotיֵאָכֵלוּ׃ye/a/KHE/lushall they be eaten

    And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

20. 20

    כׇּל־עוֹףkol-ofevery birdטָהוֹרta/HORcleanתֹּאכֵלוּ׃to/KHE/luyou may eat

    But of all clean fowls ye may eat.

21. 21

    לֹאlonotתֹאכְלוּto/khe/LUshall you eatכׇל־נְבֵלָהkhol-ne/ve/LAanything that dies of itselfלַגֵּרlag/GERto the strangerאֲשֶׁר־בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָa/SHER-bish/a/RE/khawho is within your gatesתִּתְּנֶנָּהtit/te/NEN/nayou may give itוַאֲכָלָהּva/a/kha/LAthat he may eat itאוֹoorמָכֹרma/KHORyou may sell itלְנׇכְרִיle/nokh/RIto a foreignerכִּיkiforעַםama peopleקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyאַתָּהat/TAare youלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלֹא־תְבַשֵּׁלlo-te/vash/SHELyou shall not boilגְּדִיge/DIa kid ofבַּחֲלֵבba/cha/LEVin the milk ofאִמּוֹ׃im/MOits mother

    Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

22. 22

    עַשֵּׂרas/SERtitheתְּעַשֵּׂרte/as/SERyou shall titheאֵת־כׇּל־תְּבוּאַתet-kol-te/vu/ATall the produce ofזַרְעֶךָzar/E/khayour seedהַיֹּצֵאhay/yo/TSEthat comes forthהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEof the fieldשָׁנָהsha/NAyearשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyear

    Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

23. 23

    וְאָכַלְתָּve/a/khal/TAand you shall eatלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhich He shall chooseלְשַׁכֵּןle/shak/KENto make dwellשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameשָׁםshamthereמַעְשַׂרma/SARthe tithe ofדְּגָנְךָde/ga/ne/KHAyour grainתִּירֹשְׁךָti/rosh/KHAyour new wineוְיִצְהָרֶךָve/yits/ha/RE/khaand your oilוּבְכֹרֹתu/ve/kho/ROTand the firstborn ofבְּקָרְךָbe/ka/re/KHAyour herdוְצֹאנֶךָve/tso/NE/khaand your flockלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּלְמַדtil/MADyou may learnלְיִרְאָהle/yir/Ato fearאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godכׇּל־הַיָּמִים׃kol-hay/ya/MIMalways

    And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24. 24

    וְכִי־יִרְבֶּהve/KHI-yir/BEand if is too longמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfor youהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayכִּיkithatלֹאlonotתוּכַלtu/KHALyou are ableשְׂאֵתוֹse/e/TOto carry itכִּי־יִרְחַקki-yir/CHAKor if is too farמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfrom youהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלָשׂוּםla/SUMto putשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameשָׁםshamthereכִּיkiwhenיְבָרֶכְךָye/va/rekh/KHAhas blessed youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

    And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

25. 25

    וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAthen you shall turn itבַּכָּסֶףbak/KA/sefinto moneyוְצַרְתָּve/tsar/TAand bind upהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe moneyבְּיָדְךָbe/ya/de/KHAin your handוְהָלַכְתָּve/ha/lakh/TAand goאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבּוֹ׃boit

    Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26. 26

    וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall spendהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe moneyבְּכֹלbe/KHOLon whateverאֲשֶׁר־תְּאַוֶּהa/SHER-te/av/VEdesiresנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulבַּבָּקָרbab/ba/KARfor oxenוּבַצֹּאןu/vats/TSONor for sheepוּבַיַּיִןu/vay/YA/yinor for wineוּבַשֵּׁכָרu/vash/she/KHARor for strong drinkוּבְכֹלu/ve/KHOLor for whateverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּשְׁאָלְךָtish/a/le/KHAasks of youנַפְשֶׁךָnaf/SHE/khayour soulוְאָכַלְתָּve/a/khal/TAand you shall eatשָּׁםshamthereלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוְשָׂמַחְתָּve/sa/mach/TAand you shall rejoiceאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבֵיתֶךָ׃u/ve/TE/khaand your household

    And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

27. 27

    וְהַלֵּוִיve/hal/Le/VIand the Leviteאֲשֶׁר־בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָa/SHER-bish/a/RE/khawho is within your gatesלֹאlonotתַעַזְבֶנּוּta/az/VEN/nuyou shall forsake himכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noלוֹlofor himחֵלֶקCHE/lekportionוְנַחֲלָהve/na/cha/LAand inheritanceעִמָּךְ׃im/MAKHwith you

    And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

28. 28

    מִקְצֵהmik/TSEat the end ofשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsתּוֹצִיאto/TSIyou shall bring forthאֶת־כׇּל־מַעְשַׂרet-kol-ma/SARall the tithe ofתְּבוּאָתְךָte/vu/a/te/KHAyour produceבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהַהִואha/HIVthatוְהִנַּחְתָּve/hin/nach/TAand lay it upבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ׃bish/a/RE/khawithin your gates

    At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

29. 29

    וּבָאu/VAand shall comeהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Leviteכִּיkibecauseאֵין־לוֹen-lohas noחֵלֶקCHE/lekportionוְנַחֲלָהve/na/cha/LAand inheritanceעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youוְהַגֵּרve/hag/GERand the strangerוְהַיָּתוֹםve/hay/ya/TOMand the fatherlessוְהָאַלְמָנָהve/ha/al/ma/NAand the widowאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָbish/a/RE/khawithin your gatesוְאָכְלוּve/a/khe/LUand shall eatוְשָׂבֵעוּve/sa/VE/uand be satisfiedלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיְבָרֶכְךָye/va/rekh/KHAmay bless youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכׇל־מַעֲשֵׂהbe/KHOL-ma/a/SEin all the work ofיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּעֲשֶׂה׃ta/a/SEyou do

    And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
