   אֵת־כׇּל־הַדָּבָרet-kol-had/da/VARevery wordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוֶּהme/tsav/VEcommandאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouאֹתוֹo/TOitתִשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUbe carefulלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doלֹא־תֹסֵףlo-to/SEFyou shall not addעָלָיוa/LAYVto itוְלֹאve/LOnorתִגְרַעtig/RAdiminishמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nufrom it

   What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

   כִּי־יָקוּםki-ya/KUMif arisesבְּקִרְבְּךָbe/kir/be/KHAamong youנָבִיאna/VIa prophetאוֹoorחֹלֵםcho/LEMa dreamer ofחֲלוֹםcha/LOMdreamsוְנָתַןve/na/TANand givesאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאוֹתota signאוֹoorמוֹפֵת׃mo/FETa wonder

   If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

   וּבָאu/VAand comes to passהָאוֹתha/OTthe signוְהַמּוֹפֵתve/ham/mo/FETand the wonderאֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרa/SHER-dib/BERof which he spokeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יְדַעְתָּםlo-ye/da/TAMyou have not knownוְנׇעׇבְדֵם׃ve/no/ov/DEMand let us serve them

   And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

   לֹאlonotתִשְׁמַעtish/MAshall you hearkenאֶל־דִּבְרֵיel-div/REto the words ofהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetהַהוּאha/HUthatאוֹoorאֶל־חוֹלֵםel-cho/LEMto the dreamer ofהַחֲלוֹםha/cha/LOMthe dreamהַהוּאha/HUthatכִּיkiforמְנַסֶּהme/nas/SEis provingיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowהֲיִשְׁכֶםha/yish/KHEMwhether youאֹהֲבִיםo/ha/VIMloveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godבְּכׇל־לְבַבְכֶםbe/KHOL-le/vav/KHEMwith all your heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשְׁכֶם׃u/ve/KHOL-naf/she/KHEMand with all your soul

   Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

   אַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godתֵּלֵכוּte/LE/khuyou shall walkוְאֹתוֹve/o/TOand Himתִירָאוּti/RA/ufearוְאֶת־מִצְוֺתָיוve/ET-mits/vo/TAYVand His commandmentsתִּשְׁמֹרוּtish/MO/rukeepוּבְקֹלוֹu/ve/ko/LOand His voiceתִשְׁמָעוּtish/MA/uobeyוְאֹתוֹve/o/TOand Himתַעֲבֹדוּta/a/VO/duserveוּבוֹu/VOand to Himתִדְבָּקוּן׃tid/ba/KUNhold fast

   Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

   וְהַנָּבִיאve/han/na/VIand the prophetהַהוּאha/HUthatאוֹoorחֹלֵםcho/LEMdreamer ofהַחֲלוֹםha/cha/LOMdreamsהַהוּאha/HUthatיוּמָתyu/MATshall be put to deathכִּיkibecauseדִבֶּר־סָרָהdib/BER-sa/RAhe has spoken rebellionעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaiagainst the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godהַמּוֹצִיאham/mo/TSIwho broughtאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְהַפֹּדְךָve/hap/pod/KHAand redeemed youמִבֵּיתmib/BETout of the house ofעֲבָדִיםa/va/DIMbondageלְהַדִּיחֲךָle/had/di/cha/KHAto draw you awayמִן־הַדֶּרֶךְmin-had/DE/rekhout of the wayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוְּךָtsiv/ve/KHAcommanded youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto walkבָּהּbain itוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִקִּרְבֶּךָ׃mik/kir/BE/khafrom among you

   And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

   כִּיkiifיְסִיתְךָye/si/te/KHAentices youאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherבֶן־אִמֶּךָven-im/ME/khathe son of your motherאוֹ־בִנְךָo-vin/KHAor your sonאוֹ־בִתְּךָo-vit/te/KHAor your daughterאוֹoorאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofחֵיקֶךָche/KE/khayour bosomאוֹoorרֵעֲךָre/a/KHAyour neighborאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho isכְּנַפְשְׁךָke/naf/she/KHAas your own soulבַּסֵּתֶרbas/SE/terin secretלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goוְנַעַבְדָהve/na/av/DAand serveאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tahave knownאַתָּהat/TAyouוַאֲבֹתֶיךָ׃va/a/vo/TE/khaand your fathers

   If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

   מֵאֱלֹהֵיme/e/lo/HEof the gods ofהָעַמִּיםha/am/MIMthe peoplesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichסְבִיבֹתֵיכֶםse/vi/vo/te/KHEMare round about youהַקְּרֹבִיםhak/ke/ro/VIMnearאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאוֹoorהָרְחֹקִיםha/re/cho/KIMfarמִמֶּךָּmim/MEK/kafrom youמִקְצֵהmik/TSEfrom the end ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְעַד־קְצֵהve/AD-ke/TSEto the other end ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

   Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

9. 9

   לֹא־תֹאבֶהlo-to/VEyou shall not consentלוֹloto himוְלֹאve/LOnorתִשְׁמַעtish/MAhearkenאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוְלֹא־תָחוֹסve/LO-ta/CHOSneither shall pityעֵינְךָe/ne/KHAyour eyeעָלָיוa/LAYVhimוְלֹא־תַחְמֹלve/LO-tach/MOLneither shall you spareוְלֹא־תְכַסֶּהve/LO-te/khas/SEneither shall you concealעָלָיו׃a/LAYVhim

   Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:

10. 10

    כִּיkibutהָרֹגha/ROGkillתַּהַרְגֶנּוּta/har/GEN/nuyou shall kill himיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handתִּהְיֶה־בּוֹtih/YE-boshall be upon himבָרִאשׁוֹנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstלַהֲמִיתוֹla/ha/mi/TOto put him to deathוְיַדve/YADand the hand ofכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleבָּאַחֲרֹנָה׃ba/a/cha/ro/NAlast

    But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

11. 11

    וּסְקַלְתּוֹu/se/kal/TOand you shall stone himבָאֲבָנִיםva/a/va/NIMwith stonesוָמֵתva/METthat he dieכִּיkibecauseבִקֵּשׁvik/KESHhe has soughtלְהַדִּיחֲךָle/had/di/cha/KHAto draw you awayמֵעַלme/ALfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godהַמּוֹצִיאֲךָham/mo/tsi/a/KHAwho brought you outמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptמִבֵּיתmib/BETout of the house ofעֲבָדִים׃a/va/DIMbondage

    And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

12. 12

    וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Ushall hearוְיִרָאוּןve/yi/ra/UNand fearוְלֹא־יוֹסִפוּve/LO-yo/SI/fuand shall not againלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTdoכַּדָּבָרkad/da/VARany such thingהָרָעha/RAwickedהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבְּקִרְבֶּךָ׃be/kir/BE/khaamong you

    And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.

13. 13

    כִּי־תִשְׁמַעki-tish/MAif you hear sayבְּאַחַתbe/a/CHATin one ofעָרֶיךָa/RE/khayour citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENis givingלְךָle/KHAyouלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellשָׁםshamthereלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,

14. 14

    יָצְאוּya/tse/Uhave gone outאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenבְּנֵי־בְלִיַּעַלbe/NE-ve/liy/YA/alworthless fellowsמִקִּרְבֶּךָmik/kir/BE/khafrom among youוַיַּדִּיחוּvay/yad/DI/chuand have drawn awayאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofעִירָםi/RAMtheir cityלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goוְנַעַבְדָהve/na/av/DAand serveאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יְדַעְתֶּם׃lo-ye/da/TEMyou have not known

    Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

15. 15

    וְדָרַשְׁתָּve/da/rash/TAthen you shall inquireוְחָקַרְתָּve/cha/kar/TAand make searchוְשָׁאַלְתָּve/sha/al/TAand askהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֱמֶתe/METtrueנָכוֹןna/KHONcertainהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAhas been doneהַתּוֹעֵבָהhat/to/e/VAthe abominationהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּקִרְבֶּךָ׃be/kir/BE/khaamong you

    Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

16. 16

    הַכֵּהhak/KEstrikeתַכֶּהtak/KEyou shall strikeאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַהִואha/HIVthatלְפִי־חָרֶבle/FI-CHA/revby the edge of the swordהַחֲרֵםha/cha/REMutterly destroyingאֹתָהּo/TAitוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּהּve/ET-kol-a/SHER-baand all that is in itוְאֶת־בְּהֶמְתָּהּve/ET-be/hem/TAand its cattleלְפִי־חָרֶב׃le/FI-CHA/revby the edge of the sword

    Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.

17. 17

    וְאֶת־כׇּל־שְׁלָלָהּve/ET-kol-she/la/LAand all its spoilתִּקְבֹּץtik/BOTSyou shall gatherאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhinto the midst ofרְחֹבָהּre/cho/VAits squareוְשָׂרַפְתָּve/sa/raf/TAand you will burnבָאֵשׁva/ESHwith fireאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityוְאֶת־כׇּל־שְׁלָלָהּve/ET-kol-she/la/LAand all its spoilכָּלִילka/LILevery whitלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beתֵּלtela heapעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everלֹאlonotתִבָּנֶהtib/ba/NEshall it be builtעוֹד׃odagain

    And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

18. 18

    וְלֹא־יִדְבַּקve/LO-yid/BAKand shall not cleaveבְּיָדְךָbe/ya/de/KHAin your handמְאוּמָהme/U/maanythingמִן־הַחֵרֶםmin-ha/CHE/remfrom the devoted thingלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָשׁוּבya/SHUVmay turnיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמֵחֲרוֹןme/cha/RONfrom the fierceness ofאַפּוֹap/POHis angerוְנָתַן־לְךָve/na/TAN-le/KHAand show youרַחֲמִיםra/cha/MIMmercyוְרִחַמְךָve/ri/cham/KHAand have compassion on youוְהִרְבֶּךָve/hir/BE/khaand multiply youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAHe has swornלַאֲבֹתֶיךָ׃la/a/vo/TE/khato your fathers

    And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

19. 19

    כִּיkiwhenתִשְׁמַעtish/MAyou hearken toבְּקוֹלbe/KOLthe voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־כׇּל־מִצְוֺתָיוet-kol-mits/vo/TAYVall His commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doהַיָּשָׁרhay/ya/SHARwhat is rightבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

    When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
