   These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

   אַבֵּדab/BEDdestroyתְּאַבְּדוּןte/ab/be/DUNyou shall utterly destroyאֶת־כׇּל־הַמְּקֹמוֹתet-kol-ham/me/ko/MOTall the placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereעָבְדוּ־שָׁםa/ve/DU-shamservedהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areיֹרְשִׁיםyor/SHIMshall dispossessאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶםet-e/lo/he/HEMtheir godsעַל־הֶהָרִיםal-he/ha/RIMupon the mountainsהָרָמִיםha/ra/MIMhighוְעַל־הַגְּבָעוֹתve/AL-hag/ge/va/OTand upon the hillsוְתַחַתve/TA/chatand underכׇּל־עֵץkol-etsevery treeרַעֲנָן׃ra/a/NANgreen

   Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

   וְנִתַּצְתֶּםve/nit/tats/TEMand you shall break downאֶת־מִזְבְּחֹתָםet-miz/be/cho/TAMtheir altarsוְשִׁבַּרְתֶּםve/shib/bar/TEMand breakאֶת־מַצֵּבֹתָםet-mats/tse/vo/TAMtheir pillarsוַאֲשֵׁרֵיהֶםva/A/she/re/HEMand their Asherimתִּשְׂרְפוּןtis/re/FUNburnבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireוּפְסִילֵיu/fe/si/LEand the graven images ofאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir godsתְּגַדֵּעוּןte/gad/de/UNyou shall cut downוְאִבַּדְתֶּםve/ib/bad/TEMand destroyאֶת־שְׁמָםet-she/MAMtheir nameמִן־הַמָּקוֹםmin-ham/ma/KOMout of placeהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

   And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

   לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּןlo-ta/a/SUNyou shall not doכֵּןkensoלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

5. 5

   כִּיkibutאִם־אֶל־הַמָּקוֹםim-el-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhich shall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godמִכׇּל־שִׁבְטֵיכֶםmik/KOL-shiv/te/KHEMout of all your tribesלָשׂוּםla/SUMto putאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOHis nameשָׁםshamthereלְשִׁכְנוֹle/shikh/NOfor His dwellingתִדְרְשׁוּtid/re/SHUyou shall seekוּבָאתָu/VA/taand you shall goשָּׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

   But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

6. 6

   וַהֲבֵאתֶםva/ha/ve/TEMand you shall bringשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereעֹלֹתֵיכֶםo/lo/te/KHEMyour burnt offeringsוְזִבְחֵיכֶםve/ziv/che/KHEMand your sacrificesוְאֵתve/ETandמַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶםma/se/ro/te/KHEMyour tithesוְאֵתve/ETandתְּרוּמַתte/ru/MATthe heave offering ofיֶדְכֶםyed/KHEMyour handוְנִדְרֵיכֶםve/nid/re/KHEMand your vowsוְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶםve/nid/vo/te/KHEMand your freewill offeringsוּבְכֹרֹתu/ve/kho/ROTand the firstborn ofבְּקַרְכֶםbe/kar/KHEMyour herdsוְצֹאנְכֶם׃ve/tso/ne/KHEMand your flocks

   And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

7. 7

   וַאֲכַלְתֶּם־שָׁםva/a/khal/TEM-shamand you shall eat thereלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוּשְׂמַחְתֶּםu/se/mach/TEMand you shall rejoiceבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמִשְׁלַחmish/LACHthat you putיֶדְכֶםyed/KHEMyour hand toאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוּבָתֵּיכֶםu/vat/te/KHEMand your householdsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichבֵּרַכְךָbe/rakh/KHAhas blessed youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

   And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

   לֹאlonotתַעֲשׂוּןta/a/SUNshall you doכְּכֹלke/KHOLafter allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweעֹשִׂיםo/SIMare doingפֹּהpohereהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאִישׁishevery manכׇּל־הַיָּשָׁרkol-hay/ya/SHARwhatever is rightבְּעֵינָיו׃be/e/NAYVin his eyes

   Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

   כִּיkiforלֹא־בָאתֶםlo-va/TEMyou have not comeעַד־עָתָּהad-AT/taas yetאֶל־הַמְּנוּחָהel-ham/me/nu/CHAto the restוְאֶל־הַנַּחֲלָהve/EL-han/na/cha/LAand to the inheritanceאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godנֹתֵןno/TENis givingלָךְ׃lakhto you

   For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

    וַעֲבַרְתֶּםva/a/var/TEMbut when you go overאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanוִישַׁבְתֶּםvi/shav/TEMand dwellבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהa/SHER-Adonaiwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godמַנְחִילman/CHILgives to inheritאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוְהֵנִיחַve/he/NI/achand when He gives restלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמִכׇּל־אֹיְבֵיכֶםmik/KOL-oy/ve/KHEMfrom all your enemiesמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVround aboutוִישַׁבְתֶּם־בֶּטַח׃vi/shav/TEM-BE/tachso that you dwell in safety

    But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAthen there shall beהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhich shall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godבּוֹboitלְשַׁכֵּןle/shak/KENto make dwellשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameשָׁםshamthereשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereתָבִיאוּta/VI/uyou shall bringאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוֶּהme/tsav/VEcommandאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouעוֹלֹתֵיכֶםo/lo/te/KHEMyour burnt offeringsוְזִבְחֵיכֶםve/ziv/che/KHEMand your sacrificesמַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶםma/se/ro/te/KHEMyour tithesוּתְרֻמַתu/te/ru/MATand the heave offering ofיֶדְכֶםyed/KHEMyour handוְכֹלve/KHOLand allמִבְחַרmiv/CHARthe choicest ofנִדְרֵיכֶםnid/re/KHEMyour vowsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּדְּרוּtid/de/RUyou vowלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

12. 12

    וּשְׂמַחְתֶּםu/se/mach/TEMand you shall rejoiceלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוּבְנֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMand your sonsוּבְנֹתֵיכֶםu/ve/no/te/KHEMand your daughtersוְעַבְדֵיכֶםve/av/de/KHEMand your menservantsוְאַמְהֹתֵיכֶםve/am/ho/te/KHEMand your maidservantsוְהַלֵּוִיve/hal/Le/VIand the Leviteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶםbe/sha/a/re/KHEMwithin your gatesכִּיkisinceאֵיןenthere is noלוֹlofor himחֵלֶקCHE/lekportionוְנַחֲלָהve/na/cha/LAand inheritanceאִתְּכֶם׃it/te/KHEMwith you

    And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

    הִשָּׁמֶרhish/SHA/mertake heedלְךָle/KHAto yourselfפֶּן־תַּעֲלֶהpen-ta/a/LEthat you do not offerעֹלֹתֶיךָo/lo/TE/khayour burnt offeringsבְּכׇל־מָקוֹםbe/KHOL-ma/KOMin every placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּרְאֶה׃tir/Eyou see

    Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:

14. 14

    כִּיkibutאִם־בַּמָּקוֹםim-bam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhich shall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּאַחַדbe/a/CHADin one ofשְׁבָטֶיךָshe/va/TE/khayour tribesשָׁםshamthereתַּעֲלֶהta/a/LEyou shall offerעֹלֹתֶיךָo/lo/TE/khayour burnt offeringsוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוֶּךָּ׃me/tsav/VEK/kacommand you

    But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

15. 15

    רַקrakonlyבְּכׇל־אַוַּתbe/KHOL-av/VATwith all the desire ofנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulתִּזְבַּחtiz/BACHyou may killוְאָכַלְתָּve/a/khal/TAand eatבָשָׂרva/SARfleshכְּבִרְכַּתke/vir/KATaccording to the blessing ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַן־לְךָna/TAN-le/KHAHe has given youבְּכׇל־שְׁעָרֶיךָbe/KHOL-she/a/RE/khain all your gatesהַטָּמֵאhat/ta/MEthe uncleanוְהַטָּהוֹרve/hat/ta/HORand the cleanיֹאכְלֶנּוּyo/khe/LEN/numay eat of itכַּצְּבִיkats/tse/VIas of the gazelleוְכָאַיָּל׃ve/kha/ay/YALand as of the deer

    Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

    רַקrakonlyהַדָּםhad/DAMthe bloodלֹאlonotתֹאכֵלוּto/KHE/lushall you eatעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the earthתִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּtish/pe/KHEN/nuyou shall pour it outכַּמָּיִם׃kam/MA/yimas water

    Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

    לֹא־תוּכַלlo-tu/KHALyou may notלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto eatבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָbish/a/RE/khawithin your gatesמַעְשַׂרma/SARthe tithe ofדְּגָנְךָde/ga/ne/KHAyour grainוְתִירֹשְׁךָve/ti/rosh/KHAand your new wineוְיִצְהָרֶךָve/yits/ha/RE/khaor of your oilוּבְכֹרֹתu/ve/kho/ROTand the firstborn ofבְּקָרְךָbe/ka/re/KHAyour herdוְצֹאנֶךָve/tso/NE/khaand your flockוְכׇל־נְדָרֶיךָve/KHOL-ne/da/RE/khaor any of your vowsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּדֹּרtid/DORyou vowוְנִדְבֹתֶיךָve/nid/vo/TE/khaand your freewill offeringsוּתְרוּמַתu/te/ru/MATor the heave offering ofיָדֶךָ׃ya/DE/khayour hand

    Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:

    כִּיkibutאִם־לִפְנֵיim-lif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godתֹּאכְלֶנּוּto/khe/LEN/nuyou shall eat themבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבּוֹboitאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבִנְךָu/vin/KHAand your sonוּבִתֶּךָu/vit/TE/khaand your daughterוְעַבְדְּךָve/av/de/KHAand your manservantוַאֲמָתֶךָva/a/ma/TE/khaand your maidservantוְהַלֵּוִיve/hal/Le/VIand the Leviteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָbish/a/RE/khawithin your gatesוְשָׂמַחְתָּve/sa/mach/TAand you shall rejoiceלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמִשְׁלַחmish/LACHthat you putיָדֶךָ׃ya/DE/khayour hand to

    But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

    הִשָּׁמֶרhish/SHA/mertake heedלְךָle/KHAto yourselfפֶּן־תַּעֲזֹבpen-ta/a/ZOVthat you do not forsakeאֶת־הַלֵּוִיet-Hal/le/VIthe Leviteכׇּל־יָמֶיךָkol-ya/ME/khaas long as you liveעַל־אַדְמָתֶךָ׃al-ad/ma/TE/khain your land

    Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.

20. 20

    כִּי־יַרְחִיבki-yar/CHIVwhen shall enlargeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֶת־גְּבֻלְךָet-ge/vul/KHAyour borderכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּר־לָךְdib/BER-lakhHe has promised youוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand you sayאֹכְלָהokh/LAI will eatבָשָׂרva/SARfleshכִּי־תְאַוֶּהki-te/av/VEbecause longsנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto eatבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshבְּכׇל־אַוַּתbe/KHOL-av/VATwith all the desire ofנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulתֹּאכַלto/KHALyou may eatבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

    When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

21. 21

    כִּי־יִרְחַקki-yir/CHAKif is too farמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfrom youהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְחַרyiv/CHARshall chooseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godלָשׂוּםla/SUMto putשְׁמוֹshe/MOHis nameשָׁםshamthereוְזָבַחְתָּve/za/vach/TAthen you shall killמִבְּקָרְךָmib/be/ka/re/KHAof your herdוּמִצֹּאנְךָu/mits/tso/ne/KHAand of your flockאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַןna/TANhas givenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְךָle/KHAyouכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוִּיתִךָtsiv/vi/TI/khaI commanded youוְאָכַלְתָּve/a/khal/TAand you shall eatבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָbish/a/RE/khawithin your gatesבְּכֹלbe/KHOLwith allאַוַּתav/VATthe desire ofנַפְשֶׁךָ׃naf/SHE/khayour soul

    If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

22. 22

    אַךְakhonlyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיֵאָכֵלye/a/KHELis eatenאֶת־הַצְּבִיet-hats/tse/VIthe gazelleוְאֶת־הָאַיָּלve/ET-ha/ay/YALand the deerכֵּןkensoתֹּאכְלֶנּוּto/khe/LEN/nuyou shall eat itהַטָּמֵאhat/ta/MEthe uncleanוְהַטָּהוֹרve/hat/ta/HORand the cleanיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherיֹאכְלֶנּוּ׃yo/khe/LEN/nushall eat of it

    Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

    רַקrakonlyחֲזַקcha/ZAKbe sureלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notאֲכֹלa/KHOLyou eatהַדָּםhad/DAMthe bloodכִּיkiforהַדָּםhad/DAMthe bloodהוּאhuisהַנָּפֶשׁhan/NA/feshthe lifeוְלֹא־תֹאכַלve/LO-to/KHALand you shall not eatהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe lifeעִם־הַבָּשָׂר׃im-hab/ba/SARwith the flesh

    Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

    לֹאlonotתֹּאכְלֶנּוּto/khe/LEN/nushall you eat itעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the earthתִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּtish/pe/KHEN/nuyou shall pour it outכַּמָּיִם׃kam/MA/yimas water

    Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

    לֹאlonotתֹּאכְלֶנּוּto/khe/LEN/nushall you eat itלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִיטַבyi/TAVit may go wellלְךָle/KHAwith youוּלְבָנֶיךָu/le/va/NE/khaand with your childrenאַחֲרֶיךָa/cha/RE/khaafter youכִּי־תַעֲשֶׂהki-ta/a/SEwhen you doהַיָּשָׁרhay/ya/SHARwhat is rightבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

    רַקrakonlyקׇדָשֶׁיךָko/da/SHE/khayour holy thingsאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיוּa/SHER-yih/YUwhich shall beלְךָle/KHAyoursוּנְדָרֶיךָu/ne/da/RE/khaand your vowsתִּשָּׂאtis/SAyou shall takeוּבָאתָu/VA/taand goאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַרa/SHER-yiv/CHARwhich shall chooseיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:

    וְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand you shall offerעֹלֹתֶיךָo/lo/TE/khayour burnt offeringsהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARthe fleshוְהַדָּםve/had/DAMand the bloodעַל־מִזְבַּחal-miz/BACHupon the altar ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוְדַם־זְבָחֶיךָve/DAM-ze/va/CHE/khaand the blood of your sacrificesיִשָּׁפֵךְyish/sha/FEKHshall be poured outעַל־מִזְבַּחal-miz/BACHupon the altar ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godוְהַבָּשָׂרve/hab/ba/SARand the fleshתֹּאכֵל׃to/KHELyou shall eat

    And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.

28. 28

    שְׁמֹרshe/MORobserveוְשָׁמַעְתָּve/sha/ma/TAand hearאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוֶּךָּme/tsav/VEK/kacommand youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִיטַבyi/TAVit may go wellלְךָle/KHAwith youוּלְבָנֶיךָu/le/va/NE/khaand with your childrenאַחֲרֶיךָa/cha/RE/khaafter youעַד־עוֹלָםad-o/LAMfor everכִּיkiwhenתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou doהַטּוֹבhat/TOVwhat is goodוְהַיָּשָׁרve/hay/ya/SHARand the rightבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

    Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

29. 29

    כִּי־יַכְרִיתki-yakh/RITwhen shall cut offיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֶת־הַגּוֹיִםet-hag/go/YIMthe nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאַתָּהat/TAyouבָא־שָׁמָּהva-SHAM/magoלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessאוֹתָםo/TAMthemמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khafrom before youוְיָרַשְׁתָּve/ya/rash/TAand you dispossessאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְיָשַׁבְתָּve/ya/shav/TAand dwellבְּאַרְצָם׃be/ar/TSAMin their land

    When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

30. 30

    הִשָּׁמֶרhish/SHA/mertake heedלְךָle/KHAto yourselfפֶּן־תִּנָּקֵשׁpen-tin/na/KESHthat you be not snaredאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMby following themאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהִשָּׁמְדָםhish/sha/me/DAMthey are destroyedמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khafrom before youוּפֶן־תִּדְרֹשׁu/FEN-tid/ROSHand that you do not inquireלֵאלֹהֵיהֶםle/lo/he/HEMafter their godsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֵיכָהe/KHAhowיַעַבְדוּya/av/DUdid serveהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶםet-e/lo/he/HEMtheir godsוְאֶעֱשֶׂה־כֵּןve/e/e/SE-kenthat I may do soגַּם־אָנִי׃gam-A/niI also

    Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

31. 31

    לֹא־תַעֲשֶׂהlo-ta/a/SEyou shall not doכֵןkhensoלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godכִּיkiforכׇל־תּוֹעֲבַתkhol-to/a/VATevery abomination ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשָׂנֵאsa/NEHe hatesעָשׂוּa/SUthey have doneלֵאלֹהֵיהֶםle/lo/he/HEMto their godsכִּיkiforגַםgamevenאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶםet-be/ne/HEMtheir sonsוְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵיהֶםve/ET-be/no/te/HEMand their daughtersיִשְׂרְפוּyis/re/FUthey burnבָאֵשׁva/ESHin the fireלֵאלֹהֵיהֶם׃le/lo/he/HEMto their gods

    Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
