    בָּעֵתat the timeהַהִואthatאָמַרsaidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלַיto meפְּסׇל־לְךָhew for yourselfשְׁנֵי־לוּחֹתtwo tablets ofאֲבָנִיםstonesכָּרִאשֹׁנִיםlike the firstוַעֲלֵהand go upאֵלַיto meהָהָרָהto the mountainוְעָשִׂיתָand makeלְּךָfor yourselfאֲרוֹןthe ark ofעֵץ׃wood

    At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

    וְאֶכְתֹּבand I will writeעַל־הַלֻּחֹתupon the tabletsאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםthe wordsאֲשֶׁרwhichהָיוּwereעַל־הַלֻּחֹתupon the tabletsהָרִאשֹׁנִיםthe firstאֲשֶׁרwhichשִׁבַּרְתָּyou shatteredוְשַׂמְתָּםand you shall put themבָּאָרוֹן׃in the ark

    And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

    וָאַעַשׂand I madeאֲרוֹןthe ark ofעֲצֵיwood ofשִׁטִּיםacaciaוָאֶפְסֹלand I hewedשְׁנֵי־לֻחֹתtwo tablets ofאֲבָנִיםstonesכָּרִאשֹׁנִיםlike the firstוָאַעַלand I went upהָהָרָהto the mountainוּשְׁנֵיand the twoהַלֻּחֹתthe tabletsבְּיָדִי׃by my hand

    And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.

    וַיִּכְתֹּבand he wroteעַל־הַלֻּחֹתupon the tabletsכַּמִּכְתָּבlike the writingהָרִאשׁוֹןthe firstאֵת־עֲשֶׂרֶתtenהַדְּבָרִיםthe Declarationsאֲשֶׁרwhichדִּבֶּרspokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲלֵיכֶםunto youבָּהָרin the mountainמִתּוֹךְfrom the midst ofהָאֵשׁthe fireבְּיוֹםin the day ofהַקָּהָלthe assemblyוַיִּתְּנֵםand gave themיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלָי׃unto me

    And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.

    וָאֵפֶןand I turnedוָאֵרֵדand I came downמִן־הָהָרfrom the mountainוָאָשִׂםand I putאֶת־הַלֻּחֹתthe tabletsבָּאָרוֹןin the arkאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשִׂיתִיI madeוַיִּהְיוּand they wereשָׁםthereכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוַּנִיcommanded meיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

    וּבְנֵיand sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelנָסְעוּthey set outמִבְּאֵרֹתfrom Beerothבְּנֵי־יַעֲקָןBene-jaakanמוֹסֵרָהMoserahשָׁםthereמֵתdiedאַהֲרֹןAaronוַיִּקָּבֵרand was buriedשָׁםthereוַיְכַהֵןand he served as priestאֶלְעָזָרEleazarבְּנוֹhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃in his stead

    And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

    מִשָּׁםfrom thereנָסְעוּthey set outהַגֻּדְגֹּדָהto Gudgodahוּמִן־הַגֻּדְגֹּדָהand from GudgodahיׇטְבָתָהJotbathahאֶרֶץthe land ofנַחֲלֵיbrooks ofמָיִם׃water

    From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.

    בָּעֵתat the timeהַהִואthatהִבְדִּילseparatedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־שֵׁבֶטthe tribe ofהַלֵּוִיLeviלָשֵׂאתto bearאֶת־אֲרוֹןthe ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָהcovenant of the LORDלַעֲמֹדto standלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְשׇׁרְתוֹto serve himוּלְבָרֵךְand to blessבִּשְׁמוֹin His nameעַדuntilהַיּוֹםthe dayהַזֶּה׃this

    At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

    עַל־כֵּןthereforeלֹא־הָיָהnot wasלְלֵוִיto Leviחֵלֶקpartוְנַחֲלָהand inheritanceעִם־אֶחָיוwith his brethrenיְהֹוָהthe LORDהוּאheנַחֲלָתוֹhis inheritanceכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godלוֹ׃to him

    Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.

    וְאָנֹכִיyet Iעָמַדְתִּיstoodבָהָרon the mountainכַּיָּמִיםlike the daysהָרִאשֹׁנִיםthe firstאַרְבָּעִיםfortyיוֹםdayוְאַרְבָּעִיםand fortyלָיְלָהnightוַיִּשְׁמַעand heardיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלַיto meגַּםalsoבַּפַּעַםfor the timeהַהִואthatלֹא־אָבָהnot was willingיְהֹוָהthe LORDהַשְׁחִיתֶךָ׃to destroy you

    And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.

    וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלַיto meקוּםariseלֵךְgoלְמַסַּעon the journeyלִפְנֵיbeforeהָעָםthe peopleוְיָבֹאוּand shall comeוְיִירְשׁוּand they possessאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landאֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתִּיwhich I sworeלַאֲבֹתָםto their ancestorsלָתֵתto giveלָהֶם׃to them

    And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

  12. 12

    וְעַתָּהand nowיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelמָהwhatיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godשֹׁאֵלrequireמֵעִמָּךְof youכִּיbutאִם־לְיִרְאָהonly to fearאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godלָלֶכֶתto goבְּכׇל־דְּרָכָיוin all His waysוּלְאַהֲבָהand to loveאֹתוֹHimוְלַעֲבֹדand to serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָin all your heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃and in all your soul

    And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

    לִשְׁמֹרto keepאֶת־מִצְוֺתthe commandments ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְאֶת־חֻקֹּתָיוand His statutesאֲשֶׁרwhichאָנֹכִיIמְצַוְּךָam commanding youהַיּוֹםthe dayלְטוֹבfor goodלָךְ׃for you

    To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

  14. 14

    הֵןbeholdלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensוּשְׁמֵיand the heavens ofהַשָּׁמָיִםthe heavensהָאָרֶץthe earthוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּהּ׃and all that is in it

    Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

  15. 15

    רַקonlyבַּאֲבֹתֶיךָin your fathersחָשַׁקlovedיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְאַהֲבָהto loveאוֹתָםthemוַיִּבְחַרand choseבְּזַרְעָםin their seedאַחֲרֵיהֶםafter themבָּכֶםin youמִכׇּל־הָעַמִּיםfrom all the peopleכַּיּוֹםas the dayהַזֶּה׃this

    Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.

  16. 16

    וּמַלְתֶּםand you will circumciseאֵת־עׇרְלַתthe foreskin ofלְבַבְכֶםyour heartsוְעׇרְפְּכֶםand your neckלֹאnotתַקְשׁוּyou hardenעוֹד׃any more

    Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

  17. 17

    כִּיforיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godהוּאheאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofהָאֱלֹהִיםgodsוַאֲדֹנֵיand the Lord ofהָאֲדֹנִיםlordsהָאֵלthe Godהַגָּדֹלthe greatהַגִּבֹּרthe mightyוְהַנּוֹרָאand the awesomeאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יִשָּׂאshall not lift upפָנִיםpersonsוְלֹאand notיִקַּחtakeשֹׁחַד׃a bribe

    For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

  18. 18

    עֹשֶׂהexecutingמִשְׁפַּטthe judgment ofיָתוֹםa fatherless oneוְאַלְמָנָהand a widowוְאֹהֵבand he is lovingגֵּרa sojournerלָתֶתto giveלוֹto himלֶחֶםbreadוְשִׂמְלָה׃and raiment

    He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

  19. 19

    וַאֲהַבְתֶּםand loveאֶת־הַגֵּרthe sojournerכִּי־גֵרִיםbecause sojournersהֱיִיתֶםyou have beenבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Egypt

    Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

  20. 20

    אֶת־יְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godתִּירָאyou fearאֹתוֹHimתַעֲבֹדyou shall serveוּבוֹand to Himתִדְבָּקyou shall cleaveוּבִשְׁמוֹand by His nameתִּשָּׁבֵעַ׃you shall swear

    Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

  21. 21

    הוּאHeתְהִלָּתְךָyour praiseוְהוּאand Heאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהwhich didאִתְּךָwith youאֶת־הַגְּדֹלֹתthe greatוְאֶת־הַנּוֹרָאֹתand the awesome deedsהָאֵלֶּהtheseאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאוּsawעֵינֶיךָ׃your eyes

    He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

  22. 22

    בְּשִׁבְעִיםseventyנֶפֶשׁsoulיָרְדוּcame downאֲבֹתֶיךָyour fathersמִצְרָיְמָהto Egyptוְעַתָּהand nowשָׂמְךָhas made youיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godכְּכוֹכְבֵיlike the stars ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensלָרֹב׃for multitude

    Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
