Daniel 12 דָּנִיֵּאל פרק י״ב

   וּבָעֵתu/va/ETand at timeהַהִיאha/HIthatיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODwill stand upמִיכָאֵלMi/kha/ELMichaelהַשַּׂרhas/SARthe princeהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatהָעֹמֵדha/o/MEDwho standsעַל־בְּנֵיal-be/NEover the sons ofעַמֶּךָam/ME/khayour peopleוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand there will beעֵתeta time ofצָרָהtsa/RAdistressאֲשֶׁרa/SHERsuch asלֹא־נִהְיְתָהlo-nih/ye/TAhas not beenמִהְיוֹתmih/YOTsince there wasגּוֹיgoya nationעַדaduntilהָעֵתha/ETthe timeהַהִיאha/HIthatוּבָעֵתu/va/ETand at timeהַהִיאha/HIthatיִמָּלֵטyim/ma/LETwill be deliveredעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleכׇּל־הַנִּמְצָאkol-han/nim/TSAeveryone who is foundכָּתוּבka/TUVwrittenבַּסֵּפֶר׃bas/SE/ferin the book

   And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

   וְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyמִיְּשֵׁנֵיmiy/ye/she/NEof those who sleep inאַדְמַת־עָפָרad/MAT-a/FARthe dust of the earthיָקִיצוּya/KI/tsuwill awakeאֵלֶּהEL/lesomeלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEto the life ofעוֹלָםo/LAMeternityוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand someלַחֲרָפוֹתla/cha/ra/FOTto reproachesלְדִרְאוֹןle/dir/ONto the contempt ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

   And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3. 3

   וְהַמַּשְׂכִּלִיםve/ham/mas/ki/LIMand the wiseיַזְהִרוּyaz/HI/ruthey will shineכְּזֹהַרke/ZO/harlike the brightness ofהָרָקִיעַha/ra/KI/athe firmamentוּמַצְדִּיקֵיu/mats/di/KEand those who turn to righteousnessהָרַבִּיםha/rab/BIMmanyכַּכּוֹכָבִיםkak/ko/kha/VIMlike the starsלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

   And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youדָנִיֵּאלDa/niy/YELDanielסְתֹםse/TOMshut upהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsוַחֲתֹםva/cha/TOMand sealהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe bookעַד־עֵתad-etuntil the time ofקֵץketsthe endיְשֹׁטְטוּye/shot/TUwill run to and froרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְתִרְבֶּהve/tir/BEand will increaseהַדָּעַת׃had/DA/atthe knowledge

   But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

   וְרָאִיתִיve/ra/I/tithen lookedאֲנִיa/NIIדָנִיֵּאלDa/niy/YELDanielוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingאֶחָדe/CHADoneהֵנָּהHEN/naon this sideלִשְׂפַתlis/FATof the bank ofהַיְאֹרhay/ORthe riverוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADand oneהֵנָּהHEN/naon that sideלִשְׂפַתlis/FATof the bank ofהַיְאֹר׃hay/ORthe river

   Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand one saidלָאִישׁla/ISHto the manלְבוּשׁle/VUSHclothed inהַבַּדִּיםhab/bad/DIMlinenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wasמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveלְמֵימֵיle/me/MEthe waters ofהַיְאֹרhay/ORthe riverעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longקֵץketswill be the end ofהַפְּלָאוֹת׃hap/pe/la/OTthe wonders

   And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

   וָאֶשְׁמַעva/esh/MAand I heardאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manלְבוּשׁle/VUSHclothed inהַבַּדִּיםhab/bad/DIMlinenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wasמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveלְמֵימֵיle/me/MEthe waters ofהַיְאֹרhay/ORthe riverוַיָּרֶםvay/YA/remand he raisedיְמִינוֹye/mi/NOhis right handוּשְׂמֹאלוֹu/se/mo/LOand his leftאֶל־הַשָּׁמַיִםel-hash/sha/MA/yimto the heavensוַיִּשָּׁבַעvay/yish/sha/VAand sworeבְּחֵיbe/CHEby the One who livesהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMforeverכִּיkithatלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDit is for a timeמוֹעֲדִיםmo/a/DIMtimesוָחֵצִיva/CHE/tsiand halfוּכְכַלּוֹתu/khe/khal/LOTand when is finishedנַפֵּץnap/PETSshatteringיַד־עַם־קֹדֶשׁyad-am-KO/deshthe power of the holy peopleתִּכְלֶינָהtikh/LE/nawill be finishedכׇל־אֵלֶּה׃khol-EL/leall these things

   And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8. 8

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiheardוְלֹאve/LObut notאָבִיןa/VINdid I understandוָאֹמְרָהva/om/RAand I saidאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordמָהmawhat will beאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe end ofאֵלֶּה׃EL/lethese

   And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9. 9

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֵךְlekhgoדָּנִיֵּאלDa/niy/YELDanielכִּי־סְתֻמִיםki-se/tu/MIMfor are shut upוַחֲתֻמִיםva/cha/tu/MIMand sealedהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsעַד־עֵתad-etuntil the time ofקֵץ׃ketsthe end

   And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10. 10

    יִתְבָּרְרוּyit/ba/re/RUwill be purifiedוְיִתְלַבְּנוּve/yit/lab/be/NUand made whiteוְיִצָּרְפוּve/yits/tsa/re/FUand refinedרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְהִרְשִׁיעוּve/hir/SHI/ubut will do wickedlyרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedוְלֹאve/LOand notיָבִינוּya/VI/nuwill understandכׇּל־רְשָׁעִיםkol-re/sha/IMany of the wickedוְהַמַּשְׂכִּלִיםve/ham/mas/ki/LIMbut the wiseיָבִינוּ׃ya/VI/nuwill understand

    Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11. 11

    וּמֵעֵתu/me/ETand from the timeהוּסַרhu/SARis taken awayהַתָּמִידhat/ta/MIDthe continual offeringוְלָתֵתve/la/TETand is set upשִׁקּוּץshik/KUTSthe abominationשֹׁמֵםsho/MEMthat makes desolateיָמִיםya/MIMwill be daysאֶלֶףE/lefa thousandמָאתַיִםma/TA/yimtwo hundredוְתִשְׁעִים׃ve/tish/IMand ninety

    And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12. 12

    אַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed isהַמְחַכֶּהham/chak/KEthe one who waitsוְיַגִּיעַve/yag/GI/aand comesלְיָמִיםle/ya/MIMto daysאֶלֶףE/lefa thousandשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyוַחֲמִשָּׁה׃va/cha/mish/SHAand five

    Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

13. 13

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youלֵךְlekhgoלַקֵּץlak/KETSto the endוְתָנוּחַve/ta/NU/achand you will restוְתַעֲמֹדve/ta/a/MODand you will standלְגֹרָלְךָle/go/ra/le/KHAin your lotלְקֵץle/KETSto the end ofהַיָּמִין׃hay/ya/MINthe days

    But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
