Amos 9 עָמוֹס פרק ט׳

   רָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawאֶת־אֲדֹנָיet-a/do/NAYthe Lordנִצָּבnits/TSAVstandingעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהַךְhakhsmiteהַכַּפְתּוֹרhak/kaf/TORthe lintelוְיִרְעֲשׁוּve/yir/a/SHUthat may shakeהַסִּפִּיםhas/sip/PIMthe postsוּבְצַעַםu/ve/TSA/amand cut themבְּרֹאשׁbe/ROSHin the head ofכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themוְאַחֲרִיתָםve/a/cha/ri/TAMand the last of themבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordאֶהֱרֹגe/he/ROGI will slayלֹא־יָנוּסlo-ya/NUSshall not fleeלָהֶםla/HEMof themנָסnashe that fleesוְלֹא־יִמָּלֵטve/LO-yim/ma/LETand shall not escapeלָהֶםla/HEMof themפָּלִיט׃pa/LIThe that escapes

   I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

   אִם־יַחְתְּרוּim-yach/te/RUif they digבִשְׁאוֹלVish/OLinto Sheolמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereיָדִיya/DImy handתִקָּחֵםtik/ka/CHEMshall take themוְאִם־יַעֲלוּve/IM-ya/a/LUand if they climb upהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimto heavenמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאוֹרִידֵם׃o/ri/DEMI will bring them down

   Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

   וְאִם־יֵחָבְאוּve/IM-ye/cha/ve/Uand if they hide themselvesבְּרֹאשׁbe/ROSHin the top ofהַכַּרְמֶלHak/kar/MELCarmelמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֲחַפֵּשׂa/chap/PESI will search outוּלְקַחְתִּיםu/le/kach/TIMand I will take themוְאִם־יִסָּתְרוּve/IM-yis/sa/te/RUand if they be hiddenמִנֶּגֶדmin/NE/gedfrom beforeעֵינַיe/NAYmy eyesבְּקַרְקַעbe/kar/KAin the bottom ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֲצַוֶּהa/tsav/VEI will commandאֶת־הַנָּחָשׁet-han/na/CHASHthe serpentוּנְשָׁכָם׃u/ne/sha/KHAMand it shall bite them

   And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

   וְאִם־יֵלְכוּve/IM-yel/KHUand if they goבַשְּׁבִיvash/she/VIinto captivityלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֲצַוֶּהa/tsav/VEI will commandאֶת־הַחֶרֶבet-ha/CHE/revthe swordוַהֲרָגָתַםva/ha/ra/GA/tamand it shall slay themוְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand I will setעֵינִיe/NImy eyeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themלְרָעָהle/ra/Afor evilוְלֹאve/LOand notלְטוֹבָה׃le/to/VAfor good

   And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

   וַאדֹנָיva/do/NAYand the LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהַצְּבָאוֹתhats/tse/va/OTof hostsהַנּוֹגֵעַhan/no/GE/athat touchesבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוַתָּמוֹגvat/ta/MOGand it meltsוְאָבְלוּve/a/ve/LUand shall mournכׇּל־יוֹשְׁבֵיkol-YOSH/veall that dwellבָהּvain itוְעָלְתָהve/a/le/TAand it shall rise upכַיְאֹרKhay/ORlike the Riverכֻּלָּהּkul/LAwhollyוְשָׁקְעָהve/sha/ke/Aand shall sinkכִּיאֹרKi/ORlike the River ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

   הַבּוֹנֶהhab/bo/NEHe that buildsבַשָּׁמַיִםvash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensמַעֲלוֹתָוma/a/lo/TAVHis storiesוַאֲגֻדָּתוֹva/a/gud/da/TOand His vaultעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsupon the earthיְסָדָהּye/sa/DAHe has foundedהַקֹּרֵאhak/ko/REthat callsלְמֵי־הַיָּםle/ME-hay/YAMfor the waters of the seaוַיִּשְׁפְּכֵםvay/yish/pe/KHEMand pours them outעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשְׁמוֹ׃she/MOis His name

   It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

   הֲלוֹאha/LOis it notכִבְנֵיkhiv/NEas the children ofכֻשִׁיִּיםKhu/shiy/YIMthe Cushitesאַתֶּםat/TEMyouלִיlito meבְּנֵיbe/NEO children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDהֲלוֹאha/LOis it notאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelהֶעֱלֵיתִיhe/e/LE/tiI brought upמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוּפְלִשְׁתִּיִּיםu/Fe/lish/tiy/YIMand the Philistinesמִכַּפְתּוֹרmik/Kaf/TORfrom Caphtorוַאֲרָםva/A/RAMand Syriaמִקִּיר׃mik/KIRfrom Kir

   Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעֵינֵיe/NEthe eyes ofאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבַּמַּמְלָכָהbam/mam/la/KHAon the kingdomהַחַטָּאָהha/chat/ta/Athe sinfulוְהִשְׁמַדְתִּיve/hish/mad/TIand I will destroyאֹתָהּo/TAitמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe earthאֶפֶסE/fessavingכִּיkithatלֹאlonotהַשְׁמֵידhash/MEDdestroyאַשְׁמִידash/MIDwill I destroyאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

9. 9

   כִּי־הִנֵּהki-hin/NEfor beholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמְצַוֶּהme/tsav/VEwill commandוַהֲנִעוֹתִיva/ha/ni/O/tiand I will siftבְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםve/KHOL-hag/go/YIMamong all the nationsאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִנּוֹעַyin/NO/ais siftedבַּכְּבָרָהbak/ke/va/RAin a sieveוְלֹא־יִפּוֹלve/LO-yip/POLyet shall not fallצְרוֹרtse/RORthe least grainאָרֶץ׃A/retsto the earth

   For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

10. 10

    בַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordיָמוּתוּya/MU/tushall dieכֹּלkolallחַטָּאֵיchat/ta/Ethe sinners ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMthat sayלֹא־תַגִּישׁlo-tag/GISHshall not overtakeוְתַקְדִּיםve/tak/DIMnor confrontבַּעֲדֵינוּba/a/DE/nuabout usהָרָעָה׃ha/ra/Athe evil

    All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

11. 11

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאָקִיםa/KIMwill I raise upאֶת־סֻכַּתet-suk/KATthe tabernacle ofדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidהַנֹּפֶלֶתhan/no/FE/letthat is fallenוְגָדַרְתִּיve/ga/dar/TIand I will close upאֶת־פִּרְצֵיהֶןet-pir/tse/HENtheir breachesוַהֲרִסֹתָיוva/ha/ri/so/TAYVand his ruinsאָקִיםa/KIMwill I raise upוּבְנִיתִיהָu/ve/ni/TI/haand I will build itכִּימֵיki/MEas in the days ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMold

    In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

12. 12

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִירְשׁוּYI/re/shuthey may possessאֶת־שְׁאֵרִיתet-she/e/RITthe remnant ofאֱדוֹםE/DOMEdomוְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםve/KHOL-hag/go/YIMand of all the nationsאֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָאa/SHER-nik/RAwhich is calledשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDעֹשֶׂהo/SEthat doesזֹּאת׃zotthis

    That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

13. 13

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבָּאִיםba/IMcomeנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְנִגַּשׁve/nig/GASHthat shall overtakeחוֹרֵשׁcho/RESHthe plowmanבַּקֹּצֵרbak/ko/TSERthe reaperוְדֹרֵךְve/do/REKHand the treader ofעֲנָבִיםa/na/VIMgrapesבְּמֹשֵׁךְbe/mo/SHEKHhim that draws outהַזָּרַעhaz/ZA/rathe seedוְהִטִּיפוּve/hit/TI/fuand shall dropהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMthe mountainsעָסִיסa/SISsweet wineוְכׇל־הַגְּבָעוֹתve/KHOL-hag/ge/va/OTand all the hillsתִּתְמוֹגַגְנָה׃tit/mo/GAG/nashall melt

    Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

14. 14

    וְשַׁבְתִּיve/shav/TIand I will bring againאֶת־שְׁבוּתet-she/VUTthe captivity ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּבָנוּu/va/NUand they shall buildעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesנְשַׁמּוֹתne/sham/MOTwasteוְיָשָׁבוּve/ya/SHA/vuand dwellוְנָטְעוּve/na/te/Uand they shall plantכְרָמִיםkhe/ra/MIMvineyardsוְשָׁתוּve/sha/TUand drinkאֶת־יֵינָםet-ye/NAMtheir wineוְעָשׂוּve/a/SUand makeגַנּוֹתgan/NOTgardensוְאָכְלוּve/a/khe/LUand eatאֶת־פְּרִיהֶם׃et-pe/ri/HEMtheir fruit

    And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15. 15

    וּנְטַעְתִּיםu/ne/ta/TIMand I will plant themעַל־אַדְמָתָםal-ad/ma/TAMupon their landוְלֹאve/LOand notיִנָּתְשׁוּyin/na/te/SHUshall they be pulled upעוֹדodany moreמֵעַלme/ALout ofאַדְמָתָםad/ma/TAMtheir landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָ׃e/lo/HE/khayour God

    And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
