Amos 6 עָמוֹס פרק ו׳

   הוֹיhoywoe toהַשַּׁאֲנַנִּיםhash/sha/a/nan/NIMthem that are at easeבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionוְהַבֹּטְחִיםve/hab/bot/CHIMand trustבְּהַרbe/HARon the mount ofשֹׁמְרוֹןShom/RONSamariaנְקֻבֵיne/ku/VEthe notable men ofרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITthe chief ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsוּבָאוּu/VA/uand comeלָהֶםla/HEMto themבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

   עִבְרוּiv/RUpass overכַלְנֵהKhal/NECalnehוּרְאוּu/re/Uand seeוּלְכוּu/le/KHUand goמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereחֲמַתCha/MATto Hamathרַבָּהrab/BAthe greatוּרְדוּu/re/DUand go downגַת־פְּלִשְׁתִּיםGat-pe/lish/TIMGath of the Philistinesהֲטוֹבִיםha/to/VIMare they betterמִן־הַמַּמְלָכוֹתmin-ham/mam/la/KHOTthan the kingdomsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאִם־רַבim-ravor is greaterגְּבוּלָםge/vu/LAMtheir borderמִגְּבֻלְכֶם׃mig/ge/vul/KHEMthan your border

   Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

   הַמְנַדִּיםham/nad/DIMyou that put far awayלְיוֹםle/YOMthe day ofרָעraevilוַתַּגִּשׁוּןvat/tag/gi/SHUNand cause to come nearשֶׁבֶתSHE/vetthe seat ofחָמָס׃cha/MASviolence

   Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

   הַשֹּׁכְבִיםhash/shokh/VIMthat lieעַל־מִטּוֹתal-mit/TOTupon beds ofשֵׁןshenivoryוּסְרֻחִיםu/se/ru/CHIMand stretch themselvesעַל־עַרְשׂוֹתָםal-ar/so/TAMupon their couchesוְאֹכְלִיםve/okh/LIMand eatכָּרִיםka/RIMthe lambsמִצֹּאןmits/TSONout of the flockוַעֲגָלִיםva/a/ga/LIMand calvesמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofמַרְבֵּק׃mar/BEKthe stall

   That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

   הַפֹּרְטִיםhap/por/TIMthat chantעַל־פִּיal-pito the sound ofהַנָּבֶלhan/NA/velthe harpכְּדָוִידke/Da/VIDlike Davidחָשְׁבוּcha/she/VUthey deviseלָהֶםla/HEMfor themselvesכְּלֵי־שִׁיר׃ke/LE-shirinstruments of music

   That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;

   הַשֹּׁתִיםhash/sho/TIMthat drinkבְּמִזְרְקֵיbe/miz/re/KEin bowls ofיַיִןYA/yinwineוְרֵאשִׁיתve/re/SHITand with the chiefשְׁמָנִיםshe/ma/NIMointmentsיִמְשָׁחוּyim/SHA/chuthey anointוְלֹאve/LOand notנֶחְלוּnech/LUthey are grievedעַל־שֵׁבֶרal-SHE/verfor the affliction ofיוֹסֵף׃Yo/SEFJoseph

   That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

7. 7

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeעַתָּהat/TAnowיִגְלוּyig/LUshall they go captiveבְּרֹאשׁbe/ROSHat the head ofגֹּלִיםgo/LIMthose who go captiveוְסָרve/SARand shall departמִרְזַחmir/ZACHthe banquet ofסְרוּחִים׃se/ru/CHIMthose who sprawl

   Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

   נִשְׁבַּעnish/BAhas swornאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבְּנַפְשׁוֹbe/naf/SHOby Himselfנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OThostsמְתָאֵבme/ta/EVabhorאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIאֶת־גְּאוֹןet-ge/ONthe pride ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְאַרְמְנֹתָיוve/ar/me/no/TAYVand his palacesשָׂנֵאתִיsa/NE/tiI hateוְהִסְגַּרְתִּיve/his/gar/TIand I will deliver upעִירirthe cityוּמְלֹאָהּ׃u/me/lo/Aand its fullness

   The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

9. 9

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאִם־יִוָּתְרוּim-yiv/va/te/RUif there remainעֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenבְּבַיִתbe/VA/yitin houseאֶחָדe/CHADoneוָמֵתוּ׃va/ME/tuthat they shall die

   And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

10. 10

    וּנְשָׂאוֹu/ne/sa/Oand shall take him upדּוֹדוֹdo/DOhis uncleוּמְסָרְפוֹu/me/sa/re/FOand he that burns himלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring outעֲצָמִיםa/tsa/MIMthe bonesמִן־הַבַּיִתmin-hab/BA/yitfrom the houseוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto him whoבְּיַרְכְּתֵיbe/yar/ke/TEin the sides ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseהַעוֹדha/ODis there yetעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayאָפֶסA/fesnoneוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayהָסhashushכִּיkiforלֹאlonotלְהַזְכִּירle/haz/KIRto make mentionבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.

11. 11

    כִּי־הִנֵּהki-hin/NEfor beholdיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְצַוֶּהme/tsav/VEcommandsוְהִכָּהve/hik/KAand He will smiteהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatרְסִיסִיםre/si/SIMinto fragmentsוְהַבַּיִתve/hab/BA/yitand the houseהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe smallבְּקִעִים׃be/ki/IMinto clefts

    For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

12. 12

    הַיְרֻצוּןhay/ru/TSUNdo runבַּסֶּלַעbas/SE/laupon the rockסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesאִם־יַחֲרוֹשׁim-ya/cha/ROSHwill one plowבַּבְּקָרִיםbab/be/ka/RIMwith the oxenכִּי־הֲפַכְתֶּםki-ha/fakh/TEMfor you have turnedלְרֹאשׁle/ROSHinto gallמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentוּפְרִיu/fe/RIand the fruit ofצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessלְלַעֲנָה׃le/la/a/NAinto wormwood

    Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

13. 13

    הַשְּׂמֵחִיםhas/se/me/CHIMyou who rejoiceלְלֹאle/LOin noדָבָרda/VARthingהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMwho sayהֲלוֹאha/LOis it notבְחׇזְקֵנוּve/choz/KE/nuby our own strengthלָקַחְנוּla/KACH/nuwe have takenלָנוּLA/nufor ourselvesקַרְנָיִם׃kar/NA/yimhorns

    Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

14. 14

    כִּיkiforהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵקִיםme/KIMwill raise upעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youבֵּיתbetO house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהַצְּבָאוֹתhats/tse/va/OThostsגּוֹיgoya nationוְלָחֲצוּve/la/cha/TSUand they shall afflictאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמִלְּבוֹאmil/le/VOfrom the entering in ofחֲמָתCha/MATHamathעַד־נַחַלad-NA/chalunto the brook ofהָעֲרָבָה׃ha/A/ra/VAthe Arabah

    But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
