   שִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisפָּרוֹתpa/ROTyou cows ofהַבָּשָׁןHab/ba/SHANBashanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבְּהַרbe/HARon the mount ofשֹׁמְרוֹןShom/RONSamariaהָעֹשְׁקוֹתha/osh/KOTthat oppressדַּלִּיםdal/LIMthe poorהָרֹצְצוֹתha/rots/TSOTthat crushאֶבְיוֹנִיםev/yo/NIMthe needyהָאֹמְרֹתha/om/ROTthat sayלַאֲדֹנֵיהֶםla/a/do/ne/HEMto their mastersהָבִיאָהha/VI/abringוְנִשְׁתֶּה׃ve/nish/TEand let us drink

   Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

   נִשְׁבַּעnish/BAhas swornאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבְּקׇדְשׁוֹbe/kod/SHOby His holinessכִּיkithatהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבָּאִיםba/IMcomeעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youוְנִשָּׂאve/nis/SAand He will take awayאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבְּצִנּוֹתbe/tsin/NOTwith hooksוְאַחֲרִיתְכֶןve/a/cha/ri/te/KHENand your posterityבְּסִירוֹתbe/si/ROTwith fishhooks ofדּוּגָה׃du/GAfishing

   The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.

   וּפְרָצִיםu/fe/ra/TSIMand at the breachesתֵּצֶאנָהte/TSE/nayou shall go outאִשָּׁהish/SHAevery womanנֶגְדָּהּneg/DAstraight before herוְהִשְׁלַכְתֶּנָהve/hish/lakh/TE/naand you shall castהַהַרְמוֹנָהha/har/MO/nainto the palaceנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.

   בֹּאוּBO/ucomeבֵית־אֵלvet-Elto Beth-elוּפִשְׁעוּu/fish/Uand transgressהַגִּלְגָּלhag/Gil/GALat Gilgalהַרְבּוּhar/BUmultiplyלִפְשֹׁעַlif/SHO/ato transgressוְהָבִיאוּve/ha/VI/uand bringלַבֹּקֶרlab/BO/kerevery morningזִבְחֵיכֶםziv/che/KHEMyour sacrificesלִשְׁלֹשֶׁתlish/LO/shetto threeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysמַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם׃ma/se/ro/te/KHEMyour tithes

   Come to Beth-el, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

   וְקַטֵּרve/kat/TERand burnמֵחָמֵץme/cha/METSof leavenתּוֹדָהto/DAa thanksgiving offeringוְקִרְאוּve/kir/Uand proclaimנְדָבוֹתne/da/VOTfreewill offeringsהַשְׁמִיעוּhash/MI/upublishכִּיkiforכֵןkhensoאֲהַבְתֶּםa/hav/TEMyou loveבְּנֵיbe/NEO children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

   And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

   וְגַם־אֲנִיve/GAM-a/NIand also Iנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tihave givenלָכֶםla/KHEMto youנִקְיוֹןnik/YONcleanness ofשִׁנַּיִםshin/NA/yimteethבְּכׇל־עָרֵיכֶםbe/KHOL-a/re/KHEMin all your citiesוְחֹסֶרve/CHO/serand the lack ofלֶחֶםLE/chembreadבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמְקוֹמֹתֵיכֶםme/ko/mo/te/KHEMyour placesוְלֹא־שַׁבְתֶּםve/LO-shav/TEMyet you have not returnedעָדַיa/DAYto meנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמָנַעְתִּיma/NA/tihave withheldמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youאֶת־הַגֶּשֶׁםet-hag/GE/shemthe rainבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhile yetשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeחֳדָשִׁיםcho/da/SHIMmonthsלַקָּצִירlak/ka/TSIRto the harvestוְהִמְטַרְתִּיve/him/tar/TIand I caused it to rainעַל־עִירal-irupon cityאֶחָתe/CHAToneוְעַל־עִירve/AL-irand upon cityאַחַתa/CHAToneלֹאlonotאַמְטִירam/TIRI caused it to rainחֶלְקָהchel/KApieceאַחַתa/CHAToneתִּמָּטֵרtim/ma/TERwas rained uponוְחֶלְקָהve/chel/KAand the pieceאֲשֶׁר־לֹא־תַמְטִירa/SHER-lo-tam/TIRwhich it rained notעָלֶיהָa/LE/haupon itתִּיבָשׁ׃ti/VASHwithered

   And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

   וְנָעוּve/na/Uso wanderedשְׁתַּיִםSHTA/yimtwoשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesאֶל־עִירel-irto cityאַחַתa/CHAToneלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkמַיִםMA/yimwaterוְלֹאve/LOand notיִשְׂבָּעוּyis/BA/uwere they satisfiedוְלֹא־שַׁבְתֶּםve/LO-shav/TEMyet you have not returnedעָדַיa/DAYto meנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

   הִכֵּיתִיhik/KE/tiI have smittenאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבַּשִּׁדָּפוֹןbash/shid/da/FONwith the blightוּבַיֵּרָקוֹןu/vay/ye/ra/KONand with the mildewהַרְבּוֹתhar/BOTthe multitude ofגַּנּוֹתֵיכֶםgan/no/te/KHEMyour gardensוְכַרְמֵיכֶםve/khar/me/KHEMand your vineyardsוּתְאֵנֵיכֶםu/te/e/ne/KHEMand your fig treesוְזֵיתֵיכֶםve/ze/te/KHEMand your olive treesיֹאכַלyo/KHALhas devouredהַגָּזָםhag/ga/ZAMthe palmerwormוְלֹא־שַׁבְתֶּםve/LO-shav/TEMyet you have not returnedעָדַיa/DAYto meנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

    שִׁלַּחְתִּיshil/LACH/tiI have sentבָכֶםva/KHEMamong youדֶּבֶרDE/vera pestilenceבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhafter the manner ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptהָרַגְתִּיha/RAG/tiI have slainבַחֶרֶבva/CHE/revwith the swordבַּחוּרֵיכֶםba/chu/re/KHEMyour young menעִםimwithשְׁבִיshe/VIthe captivity ofסוּסֵיכֶםsu/se/KHEMyour horsesוָאַעֲלֶהva/a/a/LEand I made come upבְּאֹשׁbe/OSHthe stench ofמַחֲנֵיכֶםma/cha/ne/KHEMyour campוּבְאַפְּכֶםu/ve/ap/pe/KHEMeven into your nostrilsוְלֹא־שַׁבְתֶּםve/LO-shav/TEMyet you have not returnedעָדַיa/DAYto meנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

    הָפַכְתִּיha/FAKH/tiI have overthrownבָכֶםva/KHEMamong youכְּמַהְפֵּכַתke/mah/pe/KHATas the overthrow ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־סְדֹםet-Se/DOMSodomוְאֶת־עֲמֹרָהve/ET-a/mo/RAand Gomorrahוַתִּהְיוּvat/tih/YUand you wereכְּאוּדke/UDas a firebrandמֻצָּלmuts/TSALpluckedמִשְּׂרֵפָהmis/se/re/FAout of the burningוְלֹא־שַׁבְתֶּםve/LO-shav/TEMyet you have not returnedעָדַיa/DAYto meנאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃num-Adonaisays the LORD

    I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

12. 12

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאֶעֱשֶׂה־לְּךָe/e/SE-le/KHAwill I do to youיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELO IsraelעֵקֶבE/kevbecauseכִּי־זֹאתki-zotthat thisאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְe/e/SE-lakhI will do to youהִכּוֹןhik/KONprepareלִקְרַאת־אֱלֹהֶיךָlik/RAT-e/lo/HE/khato meet your Godיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELO Israel

    Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיוֹצֵרyo/TSERHe that formsהָרִיםha/RIMmountainsוּבֹרֵאu/vo/REand createsרוּחַRU/achthe windוּמַגִּידu/mag/GIDand declaresלְאָדָםle/a/DAMto manמַה־שֵּׂחוֹma-se/CHOwhat is his thoughtעֹשֵׂהo/SEthat makesשַׁחַרSHA/charthe morningעֵיפָהe/FAdarknessוְדֹרֵךְve/do/REKHand treadsעַל־בׇּמֳתֵיal-bo/mo/TEupon the high places ofאָרֶץA/retsthe earthיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵי־צְבָאוֹתe/lo/HE-tse/va/OTthe God of hostsשְׁמוֹ׃she/MOis His name

    For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.
