   שִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבֶּרdib/BERhas spokenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youבְּנֵיbe/NEO children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַלalagainstכׇּל־הַמִּשְׁפָּחָהkol-ham/mish/pa/CHAall the familyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֶעֱלֵיתִיhe/e/LE/tiI brought upמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

   רַקrakonlyאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tihave I knownמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allמִשְׁפְּחוֹתmish/pe/CHOTthe families ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe earthעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeאֶפְקֹדef/KODI will punishעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youאֵת־כׇּל־עֲוֺנֹתֵיכֶם׃et-kol-a/vo/no/te/KHEMall your iniquities

   You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

   הֲיֵלְכוּha/yel/KHUcan walkשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאִם־נוֹעָדוּ׃im-no/A/duif they have agreed

   Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

   הֲיִשְׁאַגha/yish/AGwill roarאַרְיֵהar/YEa lionבַּיַּעַרbay/YA/arin the forestוְטֶרֶףve/TE/refand preyאֵיןenthere is noלוֹlofor himהֲיִתֵּןha/yit/TENwill utterכְּפִירke/FIRa young lionקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceמִמְּעֹנָתוֹmim/me/o/na/TOout of his denבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאִם־לָכָד׃im-la/KHADif he has taken

   Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

   הֲתִפֹּלha/tip/POLcan fallצִפּוֹרtsip/PORa birdעַל־פַּחal-pachin a snareהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוּמוֹקֵשׁu/mo/KESHand a trapאֵיןenthere is noלָהּlafor herהֲיַעֲלֶה־פַּחha/ya/a/LE-pachshall a snare spring upמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAfrom the groundוְלָכוֹדve/la/KHODand takeלֹאlonotיִלְכּוֹד׃yil/KODwill it take

   Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

   אִם־יִתָּקַעim-yit/ta/KAshall be blownשׁוֹפָרsho/FARa shofarבְּעִירbe/IRin a cityוְעָםve/AMand the peopleלֹאlonotיֶחֱרָדוּye/che/RA/dube afraidאִם־תִּהְיֶהim-tih/YEshall there beרָעָהra/Aevilבְּעִירbe/IRin a cityוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDלֹאlonotעָשָׂה׃a/SAhas done it

   Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

   כִּיkisurelyלֹאlonotיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill doאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODדָּבָרda/VARa thingכִּיkibutאִם־גָּלָהim-ga/LArather He revealsסוֹדוֹso/DOHis secretאֶל־עֲבָדָיוel-a/va/DAYVto His servantsהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMthe prophets

   Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

   אַרְיֵהar/YEa lionשָׁאָגsha/AGhas roaredמִיmiwhoלֹאlonotיִירָאyi/RAwill fearאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODדִּבֶּרdib/BERhas spokenמִיmiwhoלֹאlonotיִנָּבֵא׃yin/na/VEwill prophesy

   The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

   הַשְׁמִיעוּhash/MI/uproclaimעַל־אַרְמְנוֹתal-ar/me/NOTupon the palaces ofבְּאַשְׁדּוֹדbe/Ash/DODin Ashdodוְעַל־אַרְמְנוֹתve/AL-ar/me/NOTand upon the palaces ofבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְאִמְרוּve/im/RUand sayהֵאָסְפוּhe/a/se/FUassemble yourselvesעַל־הָרֵיal-ha/REupon the mountains ofשֹׁמְרוֹןShom/RONSamariaוּרְאוּu/re/Uand beholdמְהוּמֹתme/hu/MOTtumultsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyבְּתוֹכָהּbe/to/KHAin her midstוַעֲשׁוּקִיםva/a/shu/KIMand the oppressedבְּקִרְבָּהּ׃be/kir/BAwithin her

   Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

    וְלֹא־יָדְעוּve/LO-ya/de/Ufor they know notעֲשׂוֹת־נְכֹחָהa/SOT-ne/kho/CHAto do rightנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDהָאוֹצְרִיםha/ots/RIMwho store upחָמָסcha/MASviolenceוָשֹׁדva/SHODand robberyבְּאַרְמְנוֹתֵיהֶם׃be/ar/me/no/te/HEMin their palaces

    For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODצַרtsaran adversaryוּסְבִיבu/se/VIVand round aboutהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוְהוֹרִידve/ho/RIDand he shall bring downמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youעֻזֵּךְuz/ZEKHyour strengthוְנָבֹזּוּve/na/VOZ/zuand shall be spoiledאַרְמְנוֹתָיִךְ׃ar/me/no/TA/yikhyour palaces

    Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיַצִּילyats/TSILrescuesהָרֹעֶהha/ro/Ethe shepherdמִפִּיmip/PIfrom the mouth ofהָאֲרִיha/a/RIthe lionשְׁתֵּיshtetwoכְרָעַיִםkhe/ra/A/yimlegsאוֹoorבְדַל־אֹזֶןve/DAL-O/zena piece of an earכֵּןkensoיִנָּצְלוּyin/na/tse/LUshall be rescuedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMthat dwellבְּשֹׁמְרוֹןbe/Shom/RONin Samariaבִּפְאַתbif/ATin the corner ofמִטָּהmit/TAa bedוּבִדְמֶשֶׁקu/Vid/ME/shekand in Damascusעָרֶשׂ׃A/resa couch

    Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

    שִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearוְהָעִידוּve/ha/I/duand testifyבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobנְאֻם־אֲדֹנָיne/UM-a/do/NAYsays the LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהַצְּבָאוֹת׃hats/tse/va/OThosts

    Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

14. 14

    כִּיkithatבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofפׇּקְדִיpok/DIthat I shall visitפִשְׁעֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלfish/E-Yis/ra/ELthe transgressions of Israelעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himוּפָקַדְתִּיu/fa/kad/TIand I will visitעַל־מִזְבְּחוֹתal-miz/be/CHOTupon the altars ofבֵּית־אֵלBet-elBeth-elוְנִגְדְּעוּve/nig/de/Uand shall be cut offקַרְנוֹתkar/NOTthe horns ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוְנָפְלוּve/na/fe/LUand they shall fallלָאָרֶץ׃la/A/retsto the ground

    That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Beth-el: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

15. 15

    וְהִכֵּיתִיve/hik/ke/TIand I will smiteבֵית־הַחֹרֶףvet-ha/CHO/refthe winter houseעַל־בֵּיתal-betwith the house ofהַקָּיִץhak/KA/yitsthe summerוְאָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand shall perishבָּתֵּיbat/TEthe houses ofהַשֵּׁןhash/SHENivoryוְסָפוּve/sa/FUand shall have an endבָּתִּיםbat/TIMhousesרַבִּיםrab/BIMgreatנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.
