   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidהֲכִיha/KHIis it thatיֶשׁ־עוֹדyesh-odthere is yetאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנוֹתַרno/TARis leftלְבֵיתle/VETof the house ofשָׁאוּלSha/ULSaulוְאֶעֱשֶׂהve/e/e/SEthat I may showעִמּוֹim/MOwith himחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURfor the sake ofיְהוֹנָתָן׃Ye/ho/na/TANJonathan

   And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

   וּלְבֵיתu/le/VETand of the house ofשָׁאוּלSha/ULSaulעֶבֶדE/veda servantוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his nameצִיבָאTsi/VAZibaוַיִּקְרְאוּ־לוֹvay/yik/re/U-loand they called himאֶל־דָּוִדel-Da/VIDto Davidוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַאַתָּהha/at/TAare youצִיבָאTsi/VAZibaוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidעַבְדֶּךָ׃av/DE/khayour servant

   And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingהַאֶפֶסha/E/fesis there no longerעוֹדodyetאִישׁishanyoneלְבֵיתle/VETof the house ofשָׁאוּלSha/ULSaulוְאֶעֱשֶׂהve/e/e/SEthat I may showעִמּוֹim/MOwith himחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe kindness ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidצִיבָאTsi/VAZibaאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingעוֹדodyetבֵּןbena sonלִיהוֹנָתָןlI/ho/na/TANto Jonathanנְכֵהne/KHEcrippled inרַגְלָיִם׃rag/LA/yimthe feet

   And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

   וַיֹּאמֶר־לוֹvay/YO/mer-loand said to himהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֵיפֹהe/FOwhereהוּאhuis heוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidצִיבָאTsi/VAZibaאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingהִנֵּה־הוּאhin/NE-hubehold he isבֵּיתbetin the house ofמָכִירMa/KHIRMachirבֶּן־עַמִּיאֵלben-Am/mi/ELthe son of Ammielבְּלוֹbe/LOin Lo-דְבָר׃de/VARdebar

   And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

   וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַיִּקָּחֵהוּvay/yik/ka/CHE/huand fetched himמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofמָכִירMa/KHIRMachirבֶּן־עַמִּיאֵלben-Am/mi/ELthe son of Ammielמִלּוֹmil/LOfrom Lo-דְבָר׃de/VARdebar

   Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameמְפִיבֹשֶׁתMe/fi/VO/shetMephiboshethבֶּן־יְהוֹנָתָןben-Ye/ho/na/TANthe son of Jonathanבֶּן־שָׁאוּלben-Sha/ULthe son of Saulאֶל־דָּוִדel-Da/VIDto Davidוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellעַל־פָּנָיוal-pa/NAYVupon his faceוַיִּשְׁתָּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand bowed downוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidמְפִיבֹשֶׁתMe/fi/VO/shetMephiboshethוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעַבְדֶּךָ׃av/DE/khayour servant

   Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹloto himדָוִדDa/VIDDavidאַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAbe not afraidכִּיkiforעָשֹׂהa/SOshowאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will showעִמְּךָim/me/KHAwith youחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURfor the sake ofיְהוֹנָתָןYe/ho/na/TANJonathanאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherוַהֲשִׁבֹתִיva/ha/shi/vo/TIand I will restoreלְךָle/KHAto youאֶת־כׇּל־שְׂדֵהet-kol-se/DEall the land ofשָׁאוּלSha/ULSaulאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתֹּאכַלto/KHALshall eatלֶחֶםLE/chembreadעַל־שֻׁלְחָנִיal-shul/cha/NIat my tableתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDcontinually

   And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

   וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand he bowed downוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֶהmewhat isעַבְדֶּךָav/DE/khayour servantכִּיkithatפָנִיתָfa/NI/tayou have turnedאֶל־הַכֶּלֶבel-hak/KE/levto the dogהַמֵּתham/METthe deadאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכָּמוֹנִי׃ka/MO/nilike me

   And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

   וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶל־צִיבָאel-Tsi/VAto ZibaנַעַרNA/arthe servant ofשָׁאוּלSha/ULSaulוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיָהha/YAwasלְשָׁאוּלle/Sha/ULto Saulוּלְכׇל־בֵּיתוֹu/le/KHOL-be/TOand to all his houseנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלְבֶן־אֲדֹנֶיךָ׃le/VEN-a/do/NE/khato the son of your master

   Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

    וְעָבַדְתָּve/a/VAD/taand you shall tillלּוֹlofor himאֶת־הָאֲדָמָהet-ha/a/da/MAthe groundאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your sonsוַעֲבָדֶיךָva/a/va/DE/khaand your servantsוְהֵבֵאתָve/he/ve/TAand you shall bring inוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beלְבֶן־אֲדֹנֶיךָle/VEN-a/do/NE/khafor the son of your masterלֶּחֶםLE/chembreadוַאֲכָלוֹva/a/kha/LOand he shall eat itוּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתu/Me/fi/VO/shetand Mephiboshethבֶּן־אֲדֹנֶיךָben-a/do/NE/khathe son of your masterיֹאכַלyo/KHALshall eatתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלֶחֶםLE/chembreadעַל־שֻׁלְחָנִיal-shul/cha/NIat my tableוּלְצִיבָאu/Le/tsi/VAand to Zibaחֲמִשָּׁה־עָשָׂרcha/mish/SHA-a/SARfifteenבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyעֲבָדִים׃a/va/DIMservants

    Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidצִיבָאTsi/VAZibaאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְצַוֶּהye/tsav/VEcommandsאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶת־עַבְדּוֹet-av/DOhis servantכֵּןkensoיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEshall doעַבְדֶּךָav/DE/khayour servantוּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתu/Me/fi/VO/shetand Mephiboshethאֹכֵלo/KHELeatsעַל־שֻׁלְחָנִיal-shul/cha/NIat my tableכְּאַחַדke/a/CHADas one ofמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEthe sons ofהַמֶּלֶךְ׃ham/ME/lekhthe king

    Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

    וְלִמְפִיבֹשֶׁתve/Lim/fi/VO/shetand to Mephiboshethבֵּן־קָטָןben-ka/TANa young sonוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his nameמִיכָאMi/KHAMichaוְכֹלve/KHOLand allמוֹשַׁבmo/SHAVthe dwelling ofבֵּית־צִיבָאbet-Tsi/VAthe house of Zibaעֲבָדִיםa/va/DIMwere servantsלִמְפִיבֹשֶׁת׃Lim/fi/VO/shetto Mephibosheth

    And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

    וּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתu/Me/fi/VO/shetand Mephiboshethיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVdweltבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemכִּיkiforעַל־שֻׁלְחַןal-shul/CHANat the table ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyהוּאhuheאֹכֵלo/KHELateוְהוּאve/HUand heפִסֵּחַfis/SE/achlame inשְׁתֵּיshtebothרַגְלָיו׃rag/LAYVhis feet

    So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
