   וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand addedעוֹדodagainדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidאֶת־כׇּל־בָּחוּרet-kol-ba/CHURall the chosen menבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyאָלֶף׃A/lefthousand

   Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

2. 2

   וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand aroseוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereאִתּוֹit/TOwith himמִבַּעֲלֵיmib/Ba/a/LEfrom Baale-יְהוּדָהye/hu/DAjudahלְהַעֲלוֹתle/ha/a/LOTto bring upמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֵת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָאa/SHER-nik/RAwhich is calledשֵׁםshemthe nameשֵׁםshemthe name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVwho sits uponהַכְּרֻבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimעָלָיו׃a/LAYVupon it

   And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.

   וַיַּרְכִּבוּvay/yar/KI/vuand they setאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֶל־עֲגָלָהel-a/ga/LAupon a cartחֲדָשָׁהcha/da/SHAnewוַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּvay/yis/sa/U/huand they carried itמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofאֲבִינָדָבA/vi/na/DAVAbinadabאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבַּגִּבְעָהbag/Giv/Ain Gibeahוְעֻזָּאve/Uz/ZAand Uzzahוְאַחְיוֹve/Ach/YOand Ahioבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאֲבִינָדָבA/vi/na/DAVAbinadabנֹהֲגִיםno/ha/GIMwere drivingאֶת־הָעֲגָלָהet-ha/a/ga/LAthe cartחֲדָשָׁה׃cha/da/SHAnew

   And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.

   וַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּvay/yis/sa/U/huand they carried itמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofאֲבִינָדָבA/vi/na/DAVAbinadabאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבַּגִּבְעָהbag/Giv/Ain Gibeahעִםimwithאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְאַחְיוֹve/Ach/YOand Ahioהֹלֵךְho/LEKHwas walkingלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאָרוֹן׃ha/a/RONthe ark

   And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

   וְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidוְכׇל־בֵּיתve/KHOL-betand all the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמְשַׂחֲקִיםme/sa/cha/KIMwere playingלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּכֹלbe/KHOLwith allעֲצֵיa/TSEwoods ofבְרוֹשִׁיםve/ro/SHIMcypressוּבְכִנֹּרוֹתu/ve/khin/no/ROTand on lyresוּבִנְבָלִיםu/vin/va/LIMand on harpsוּבְתֻפִּיםu/ve/tup/PIMand on timbrelsוּבִמְנַעַנְעִיםu/vim/na/an/IMand on rattlesוּבְצֶלְצֱלִים׃u/ve/tsel/tse/LIMand on cymbals

   And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

6. 6

   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameעַד־גֹּרֶןad-GO/rento the threshing floor ofנָכוֹןNa/KHONNachonוַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand reached outעֻזָּהUz/ZAUzzahאֶל־אֲרוֹןel-a/RONto the ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיֹּאחֶזvay/YO/chezand took holdבּוֹboof itכִּיkiforשָׁמְטוּsha/me/TUstumbledהַבָּקָר׃hab/ba/KARthe oxen

   And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

7. 7

   וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּעֻזָּהbe/Uz/ZAagainst Uzzahוַיַּכֵּהוּvay/yak/KE/huand struck himשָׁםshamthereהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodעַל־הַשַּׁלal-hash/SHALfor the errorוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedשָׁםshamthereעִםimbyאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

8. 8

   וַיִּחַרvay/YI/charand was angryלְדָוִדLe/da/VIDDavidעַלalbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatפָּרַץpa/RATShad broken outיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDפֶּרֶץPE/retsa breachבְּעֻזָּהbe/Uz/ZAupon Uzzahוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledלַמָּקוֹםlam/ma/KOMthe placeהַהוּאha/HUthatפֶּרֶץPE/retsPerez-עֻזָּהuz/ZAuzzahעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez-uzzah to this day.

9. 9

   וַיִּרָאvay/yi/RAand was afraid ofדָוִדDa/VIDDavidאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵיךְekhhowיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeאֵלַיe/LAYto meאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?

10. 10

    וְלֹא־אָבָהve/LO-a/VAand was not willingדָוִדDa/VIDDavidלְהָסִירle/ha/SIRto moveאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־עִירal-irinto the city ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַיַּטֵּהוּvay/yat/TE/huand turned it asideדָוִדDa/VIDDavidבֵּיתbetto the house ofעֹבֵד־אֱדֹםO/VED-e/DOMObed-edomהַגִּתִּי׃hag/Git/TIthe Gittite

    So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

11. 11

    וַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand remainedאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבֵּיתbetin the house ofעֹבֵדO/VEDObed-אֱדֹםe/DOMedomהַגִּתִּיhag/Git/TIthe Gittiteשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeחֳדָשִׁיםcho/da/SHIMmonthsוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־עֹבֵדet-O/VEDObed-אֱדֹםe/DOMedomוְאֶת־כׇּל־בֵּיתוֹ׃ve/ET-kol-be/TOand all his house

    And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obed-edom, and all his household.

    וַיֻּגַּדvay/yug/GADand it was toldלַמֶּלֶךְlam/ME/lekhto the kingדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבֵּרַךְbe/RAKHhas blessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofעֹבֵדO/VEDObed-אֱדֹםe/DOMedomוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹve/ET-kol-a/SHER-loand all that he hasבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland brought upאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofעֹבֵדO/VEDObed-אֱדֹםe/DOMedomעִירirinto the city ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidבְּשִׂמְחָה׃be/sim/CHAwith gladness

    And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness.

13. 13

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּיkiwhenצָעֲדוּtsa/a/DUhad steppedנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ethe bearers ofאֲרוֹן־יְהֹוָהa/RON-Adonaithe ark of the LORDשִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixצְעָדִיםtse/a/DIMpacesוַיִּזְבַּחvay/yiz/BACHand he sacrificedשׁוֹרshoran oxוּמְרִיא׃u/me/RIand a fatling

    And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

14. 14

    וְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidמְכַרְכֵּרme/khar/KERwas whirlingבְּכׇל־עֹזbe/KHOL-ozwith all mightלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidחָגוּרcha/GURwas girded withאֵפוֹדe/FODan ephodבָּד׃badlinen

    And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15. 15

    וְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidוְכׇל־בֵּיתve/KHOL-betand all the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמַעֲלִיםma/a/LIMwere bringing upאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּתְרוּעָהbit/ru/Awith shoutingוּבְקוֹלu/ve/KOLand with the sound ofשׁוֹפָר׃sho/FARthe trumpet

    So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

16. 16

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it wasאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּאbawas comingעִירirinto the city ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוּמִיכַלu/Mi/KHALand Michalבַּת־שָׁאוּלbat-Sha/ULthe daughter of Saulנִשְׁקְפָהnish/ke/FAlooked downבְּעַדbe/ADthroughהַחַלּוֹןha/chal/LONthe windowוַתֵּרֶאvat/TE/reand sawאֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְet-ham/ME/lekhthe kingדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidמְפַזֵּזme/faz/ZEZleapingוּמְכַרְכֵּרu/me/khar/KERand whirlingלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתִּבֶזvat/TI/vezand she despisedלוֹlohimבְּלִבָּהּ׃be/lib/BAin her heart

    And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

17. 17

    וַיָּבִאוּvay/ya/VI/uand they brought inאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיַּצִּגוּvay/yats/TSI/guand setאֹתוֹo/TOitבִּמְקוֹמוֹbim/ko/MOin its placeבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָטָה־לוֹna/TA-lohad pitched for itדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland offeredדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּשְׁלָמִים׃u/she/la/MIMand peace offerings

    And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

18. 18

    וַיְכַלvay/KHALand finishedדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidמֵהַעֲלוֹתme/ha/a/LOTfrom offeringהָעוֹלָהha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְהַשְּׁלָמִיםve/hash/she/la/MIMand the peace offeringsוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

    And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

19. 19

    וַיְחַלֵּקvay/chal/LEKand he distributedלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMto all the peopleלְכׇל־הֲמוֹןle/KHOL-ha/MONto all the multitude ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְמֵאִישׁle/me/ISHfrom manוְעַד־אִשָּׁהve/AD-ish/SHAand to womanלְאִישׁle/ISHto eachחַלַּתchal/LATa cake ofלֶחֶםLE/chembreadאַחַתa/CHAToneוְאֶשְׁפָּרve/esh/PARand a portion of meatאֶחָדe/CHADoneוַאֲשִׁישָׁהva/a/shi/SHAand a cake of raisinsאֶחָתe/CHAToneוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleאִישׁishevery oneלְבֵיתוֹ׃le/ve/TOto his house

    And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand returnedדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidלְבָרֵךְle/va/REKHto blessאֶת־בֵּיתוֹet-be/TOhis householdוַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand came outמִיכַלMi/KHALMichalבַּת־שָׁאוּלbat-Sha/ULthe daughter of Saulלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidמַה־נִּכְבַּדma-nikh/BADhow glorious wasהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִגְלָהnig/LAhe uncovered himselfהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyes ofאַמְהוֹתam/HOTthe handmaids ofעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsכְּהִגָּלוֹתke/hig/ga/LOTas uncovers himselfנִגְלוֹתnig/LOTuncoverאַחַדa/CHADone ofהָרֵקִים׃ha/re/KIMthe empty men

    Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidאֶל־מִיכַלel-Mi/KHALto Michalלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבָּחַר־בִּיba/CHAR-bichose meמֵאָבִיךְme/a/VIKHover your fatherוּמִכׇּל־בֵּיתוֹu/mik/KOL-be/TOand over all his houseלְצַוֺּתle/tsav/VOTto appointאֹתִיo/TImeנָגִידna/GIDprinceעַל־עַםal-amover the people ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵלal-Yis/ra/ELover Israelוְשִׂחַקְתִּיve/si/chak/TIand I will playלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.

22. 22

    וּנְקַלֹּתִיu/ne/kal/LO/tiand I will be held cheaperעוֹדodyetמִזֹּאתmiz/ZOTthan thisוְהָיִיתִיve/ha/YI/tiand I will beשָׁפָלsha/FALlowבְּעֵינָיbe/e/NAYin my own eyesוְעִם־הָאֲמָהוֹתve/IM-ha/a/ma/HOTand with the maidservantsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאָמַרְתְּa/MARTyou have spokenעִמָּםim/MAMwith themאִכָּבֵדָה׃ik/ka/VE/daI will be honored

    And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

23. 23

    וּלְמִיכַלu/Le/mi/KHALand to Michalבַּת־שָׁאוּלbat-Sha/ULthe daughter of Saulלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notלָהּlato herיָלֶדYA/leda childעַדaduntilיוֹםyomthe day ofמוֹתָהּ׃mo/TAher death

    Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
