   And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead:

   וּבָאתָ־שָּׁמָּהu/VA/ta-SHAM/maand when you come thereוּרְאֵה־שָׁםu/re/E-shamlook there forיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuבֶן־יְהוֹשָׁפָטven-Ye/ho/sha/FATthe son of Jehoshaphatבֶּן־נִמְשִׁיben-Nim/SHIthe son of Nimshiוּבָאתָu/VA/taand go inוַהֲקֵמֹתוֹva/ha/ke/mo/TOand make him riseמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenוְהֵבֵיאתָve/he/ve/TAand bringאֹתוֹo/TOhimחֶדֶרCHE/derroomבְּחָדֶר׃be/CHA/derwithin room

   And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

   וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAthen takeפַךְ־הַשֶּׁמֶןfakh-hash/SHE/menthe flask of the oilוְיָצַקְתָּve/ya/tsak/TAand pourעַל־רֹאשׁוֹal-ro/SHOupon his headוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְשַׁחְתִּיךָme/shach/TI/khaI have anointed youלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhkingאֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵלel-Yis/ra/ELover Israelוּפָתַחְתָּu/fa/tach/TAand openהַדֶּלֶתhad/DE/letthe doorוְנַסְתָּהve/NAS/taand fleeוְלֹאve/LOand do notתְחַכֶּה׃te/chak/KEwait

   Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

   וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhso wentהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe young manהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe young manהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetרָמֹתRa/MOTto Ramoth-גִּלְעָד׃gil/ADgilead

   So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשָׂרֵיsa/REthe commanders ofהַחַיִלha/CHA/yilthe armyיֹשְׁבִיםyosh/VIMwere sittingוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidדָּבָרda/VARan errandלִיliI haveאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַשָּׂרhas/SARO commanderוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuאֶל־מִיel-mito whomמִכֻּלָּנוּmik/kul/LA/nuof all of usוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַשָּׂר׃has/SARO commander

   And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

   וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand he aroseוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand wentהַבַּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseוַיִּצֹקvay/yi/TSOKand he pouredהַשֶּׁמֶןhash/SHE/menthe oilאֶל־רֹאשׁוֹel-ro/SHOon his headוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלוֹloto himכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמְשַׁחְתִּיךָme/shach/TI/khaI have anointed youלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhkingאֶל־עַםel-amover the people ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃el-Yis/ra/ELover Israel

   And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

7. 7

   וְהִכִּיתָהve/hik/ki/TAand you shall strikeאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabאֲדֹנֶיךָa/do/NE/khayour masterוְנִקַּמְתִּיve/nik/kam/TIand I will avengeדְּמֵיde/MEthe blood ofעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYMy servantsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוּדְמֵיu/de/MEand the blood ofכׇּל־עַבְדֵיkol-av/DEall the servants ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִיַּדmiy/YADat the hand ofאִיזָבֶל׃I/ZA/velJezebel

   And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

8. 8

   וְאָבַדve/a/VADand shall perishכׇּל־בֵּיתkol-betall the house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offלְאַחְאָבle/Ach/AVfrom Ahabמַשְׁתִּיןmash/TINone who urinatesבְּקִירbe/KIRagainst the wallוְעָצוּרve/a/TSURand the one shut upוְעָזוּבve/a/ZUVand the one leftבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃be/Yis/ra/ELin Israel

   For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

9. 9

   וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabכְּבֵיתke/VETlike the house ofיָרׇבְעָםYa/rov/AMJeroboamבֶּן־נְבָטben-Ne/VATthe son of Nebatוּכְבֵיתu/khe/VETand like the house ofבַּעְשָׁאBa/SHABaashaבֶן־אֲחִיָּה׃ven-A/chiy/YAthe son of Ahijah

   And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

10. 10

    וְאֶת־אִיזֶבֶלve/ET-i/ZE/veland Jezebelיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUshall eatהַכְּלָבִיםhak/ke/la/VIMthe dogsבְּחֵלֶקbe/CHE/lekin the portion ofיִזְרְעֶאלYiz/re/ELJezreelוְאֵיןve/ENand noneקֹבֵרko/VERto buryוַיִּפְתַּחvay/yif/TACHand he openedהַדֶּלֶתhad/DE/letthe doorוַיָּנֹס׃vay/ya/NOSand he fled

    And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

11. 11

    וְיֵהוּאve/Ye/HUand Jehuיָצָאya/TSAcame outאֶל־עַבְדֵיel-av/DEto the servants ofאֲדֹנָיוa/do/NAYVhis masterוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand one saidלוֹloto himהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it wellמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyבָּא־הַמְשֻׁגָּעba-ham/shug/GAdid come the madmanהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאַתֶּםat/TEMyouיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMknowאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manוְאֶת־שִׂיחוֹ׃ve/ET-si/CHOand his talk

    Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

12. 12

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidשֶׁקֶרSHE/kera lieהַגֶּד־נָאhag/GED-natell pleaseלָנוּLA/nuto usוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidכָּזֹאתka/ZOTthusוְכָזֹאתve/kha/ZOTand thusאָמַרa/MARhe saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְשַׁחְתִּיךָme/shach/TI/khaI have anointed youלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhkingאֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃el-Yis/ra/ELover Israel

    And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

13. 13

    וַיְמַהֲרוּvay/ma/ha/RUand they hurriedוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאִישׁisheachבִּגְדוֹbig/DOhis garmentוַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand put itתַחְתָּיוtach/TAYVunder himאֶל־גֶּרֶםel-GE/remon the bareהַמַּעֲלוֹתham/ma/a/LOTthe stepsוַיִּתְקְעוּvay/yit/ke/Uand they blewבַּשּׁוֹפָרbash/sho/FARthe trumpetוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמָלַךְma/LAKHis kingיֵהוּא׃Ye/HUJehu

    Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

14. 14

    וַיִּתְקַשֵּׁרvay/yit/kash/SHERso conspiredיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuבֶּן־יְהוֹשָׁפָטben-Ye/ho/sha/FATthe son of Jehoshaphatבֶּן־נִמְשִׁיben-Nim/SHIthe son of Nimshiאֶל־יוֹרָםel-Yo/RAMagainst Joramוְיוֹרָםve/Yo/RAMand Joramהָיָהha/YAwasשֹׁמֵרsho/MERguardingבְּרָמֹתbe/Ra/MOTat Ramoth-גִּלְעָדgil/ADgileadהוּאhuheוְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofחֲזָאֵלCha/za/ELHazaelמֶלֶךְ־אֲרָם׃ME/lekh-A/RAMthe king of Aram

    So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

15. 15

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovbut had returnedיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingלְהִתְרַפֵּאle/hit/rap/PEto be healedבְיִזְרְעֶאלve/Yiz/re/ELin Jezreelמִן־הַמַּכִּיםmin-ham/mak/KIMof the woundsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַכֻּהוּyak/KU/huhad struck himאֲרַמִּיםA/ram/MIMthe Arameansבְּהִלָּחֲמוֹbe/hil/la/cha/MOwhen he fought withאֶת־חֲזָאֵלet-Cha/za/ELHazaelמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofאֲרָםA/RAMAramוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuאִם־יֵשׁim-yeshif it isנַפְשְׁכֶםnaf/she/KHEMyour willאַל־יֵצֵאal-ye/TSElet not go outפָלִיטfa/LITa fugitiveמִן־הָעִירmin-ha/IRfrom the cityלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto go[לְהַגִּיד]le/hag/GIDto tellבְּיִזְרְעֶאל׃be/Yiz/re/ELin Jezreel

    But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

16. 16

    וַיִּרְכַּבvay/yir/KAVand he rodeיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentיִזְרְעֶאלָהYiz/re/E/lato JezreelכִּיkiforיוֹרָםYo/RAMJoramשֹׁכֵבsho/KHEVwas lyingשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereוַאֲחַזְיָהva/A/chaz/YAand AhaziahמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahיָרַדya/RADhad come downלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־יוֹרָם׃et-Yo/RAMJoram

    So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

17. 17

    וְהַצֹּפֶהve/hats/tso/FEand the watchmanעֹמֵדo/MEDwas standingעַל־הַמִּגְדָּלal-ham/mig/DALupon the towerבְּיִזְרְעֶאלbe/Yiz/re/ELin Jezreelוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־שִׁפְעַתet-shif/ATthe company ofיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Oas he cameוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidשִׁפְעַתshif/ATa companyאֲנִיa/NIIרֹאֶהro/Eseeוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramקַחkachtakeרַכָּבrak/KAVa riderוּשְׁלַחu/she/LACHand sendלִקְרָאתָםlik/ra/TAMto meet themוְיֹאמַרve/yo/MARand let him sayהֲשָׁלוֹם׃ha/sha/LOMis it well

    And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

18. 18

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentרֹכֵבro/KHEVa rider onהַסּוּסhas/SUSthe horseלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it wellוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuמַה־לְּךָma-le/KHAwhat is it to youוּלְשָׁלוֹםu/le/sha/LOMand to peaceסֹבsovturnאֶל־אַחֲרָיel-a/cha/RAYbehind meוַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand he toldהַצֹּפֶהhats/tso/FEthe watchmanלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּא־הַמַּלְאָךְba-ham/mal/AKHthe messenger cameעַד־הֵםad-hemto themוְלֹא־שָׁב׃ve/LO-shavbut has not returned

    So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentרֹכֵבro/KHEVa rider onסוּסsusa horseשֵׁנִיshe/NIa secondוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuמַה־לְּךָma-le/KHAwhat is it to youוּלְשָׁלוֹםu/le/sha/LOMand to peaceסֹבsovturnאֶל־אַחֲרָי׃el-a/cha/RAYbehind me

    Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

20. 20

    וַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand he toldהַצֹּפֶהhats/tso/FEthe watchmanלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּאbahe cameעַד־אֲלֵיהֶםad-a/le/HEMto themוְלֹא־שָׁבve/LO-shavbut has not returnedוְהַמִּנְהָגve/ham/min/HAGand the drivingכְּמִנְהַגke/min/HAGlike the driving ofיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuבֶן־נִמְשִׁיven-Nim/SHIthe son of Nimshiכִּיkiforבְשִׁגָּעוֹןve/shig/ga/ONmadlyיִנְהָג׃yin/HAGhe drives

    And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramאֱסֹרe/SORharnessוַיֶּאְסֹרvay/ye/SORand he harnessedרִכְבּוֹrikh/BOhis chariotוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramמֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵלME/lekh-Yis/ra/ELthe king of Israelוַאֲחַזְיָהוּva/A/chaz/YA/huand Ahaziahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAthe king of Judahאִישׁisheachבְּרִכְבּוֹbe/rikh/BOin his chariotוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand they went outלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuוַיִּמְצָאֻהוּvay/yim/tsa/U/huand they found himבְּחֶלְקַתbe/chel/KATat the plot ofנָבוֹתNa/VOTNabothהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִי׃hay/Yiz/re/e/LIthe Jezreelite

    And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

22. 22

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּרְאוֹתkir/OTwhen sawיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramאֶת־יֵהוּאet-Ye/HUJehuוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it peaceיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidמָהmawhatהַשָּׁלוֹםhash/sha/LOMpeaceעַד־זְנוּנֵיad-ze/nu/NEwhile the whoredoms ofאִיזֶבֶלI/ZE/velJezebelאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherוּכְשָׁפֶיהָu/khe/sha/FE/haand her sorceriesהָרַבִּים׃ha/rab/BIMare many

    And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

23. 23

    וַיַּהֲפֹךְvay/ya/ha/FOKHand turnedיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramיָדָיוya/DAYVhis handsוַיָּנֹסvay/ya/NOSand he fledוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־אֲחַזְיָהוּel-A/chaz/YA/huto Ahaziahמִרְמָהmir/MAtreacheryאֲחַזְיָה׃A/chaz/YAO Ahaziah

    And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

24. 24

    וְיֵהוּאve/Ye/HUand Jehuמִלֵּאmil/LEfilledיָדוֹya/DOhis handבַקֶּשֶׁתvak/KE/shetwith the bowוַיַּךְvay/YAKHand he struckאֶת־יְהוֹרָםet-Ye/ho/RAMJehoramבֵּיןbenbetweenזְרֹעָיוze/ro/AYVhis armsוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outהַחֵצִיha/CHE/tsithe arrowמִלִּבּוֹmil/lib/BOthrough his heartוַיִּכְרַעvay/yikh/RAand he sank downבְּרִכְבּוֹ׃be/rikh/BOin his chariot

    And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־בִּדְקַרel-Bid/KARto Bidkarשָׁלִשֹׁהsha/li/SHOhis officerשָׂאsatake upהַשְׁלִכֵהוּhash/li/KHE/hucast himבְּחֶלְקַתbe/chel/KATinto the plot ofשְׂדֵהse/DEthe field ofנָבוֹתNa/VOTNabothהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִיhay/Yiz/re/e/LIthe Jezreeliteכִּי־זְכֹרki-ze/KHORfor rememberאֲנִיa/NIhow Iוָאַתָּהva/AT/taand youאֵת־רֹכְבִיםet-rokh/VIMwere ridingצְמָדִיםtse/ma/DIMside by sideאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDנָשָׂאna/SAlaidעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himאֶת־הַמַּשָּׂאet-ham/mas/SAthe oracleהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

26. 26

    אִם־לֹאim-losurelyאֶת־דְּמֵיet-de/MEthe blood ofנָבוֹתNa/VOTNabothוְאֶת־דְּמֵיve/ET-de/MEand the blood ofבָנָיוva/NAYVhis sonsרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI have seenאֶמֶשׁE/meshyesterdayנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְשִׁלַּמְתִּיve/shil/lam/TIand I will repayלְךָle/KHAyouבַּחֶלְקָהba/chel/KAon plotהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowשָׂאsatakeהַשְׁלִכֵהוּhash/li/KHE/hucast himבַּחֶלְקָהba/chel/KAonto the plotכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

    וַאֲחַזְיָהva/A/chaz/YAand Ahaziahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAthe king of Judahרָאָהra/Asawוַיָּנׇסvay/YA/nosand he fledדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhby the way ofבֵּיתBetBeth-הַגָּןhag/GANhagganוַיִּרְדֹּףvay/yir/DOFand pursuedאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidגַּם־אֹתוֹgam-o/TOhim alsoהַכֻּהוּhak/KU/hustrike himאֶל־הַמֶּרְכָּבָהel-ham/mer/ka/VAin the chariotבְּמַעֲלֵה־גוּרbe/Ma/a/LE-gurat the ascent of Gurאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isאֶת־יִבְלְעָםet-Yiv/le/AMby Ibleamוַיָּנׇסvay/YA/nosand he fledמְגִדּוֹMe/gid/DOto Megiddoוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedשָׁם׃shamthere

    But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

28. 28

    וַיַּרְכִּבוּvay/yar/KI/vuand they carriedאֹתוֹo/TOhimעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ְמָהYe/ru/sha/LE/mato Jerusalemוַיִּקְבְּרוּvay/yik/be/RUand they buriedאֹתוֹo/TOhimבִקְבֻרָתוֹvik/vu/ra/TOin his tombעִם־אֲבֹתָיוim-a/vo/TAYVwith his fathersבְּעִירbe/IRin the city ofדָּוִד׃Da/VIDDavid

    And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

29. 29

    וּבִשְׁנַתu/vish/NATand in the year ofאַחַת־עֶשְׂרֵהa/CHAT-es/REelevenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearלְיוֹרָםle/Yo/RAMof Joramבֶּן־אַחְאָבben-Ach/AVthe son of Ahabמָלַךְma/LAKHreignedאֲחַזְיָהA/chaz/YAAhaziahעַל־יְהוּדָה׃al-Ye/hu/DAover Judah

    And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

30. 30

    וַיָּבוֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameיֵהוּאYe/HUJehuיִזְרְעֶאלָהYiz/re/E/lato Jezreelוְאִיזֶבֶלve/I/ZE/veland Jezebelשָׁמְעָהsha/me/Aheardוַתָּשֶׂםvat/TA/semand she putבַּפּוּךְbap/PUKHwith eye paintעֵינֶיהָe/NE/haher eyesוַתֵּיטֶבvat/TE/tevand adornedאֶת־רֹאשָׁהּet-ro/SHAher headוַתַּשְׁקֵףvat/tash/KEFand she looked downבְּעַדbe/ADthroughהַחַלּוֹן׃ha/chal/LONthe window

    And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

31. 31

    וְיֵהוּאve/Ye/HUand Jehuבָּאbacameבַשָּׁעַרvash/SHA/arin the gateוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it peaceזִמְרִיZim/RIZimriהֹרֵגho/REGmurderer ofאֲדֹנָיו׃a/do/NAYVhis master

    And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

32. 32

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand he liftedפָנָיוfa/NAYVhis faceאֶל־הַחַלּוֹןel-ha/chal/LONto the windowוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמִיmiwhoאִתִּיit/TIis with meמִיmiwhoוַיַּשְׁקִיפוּvay/yash/KI/fuand they looked downאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeסָרִיסִים׃sa/ri/SIMofficials

    And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

33. 33

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand said[שִׁמְטוּהָ]shim/TU/hadrop herוַיִּשְׁמְטוּהָvay/yish/me/TU/haand they dropped herוַיִּזvay/YIZand spatteredמִדָּמָהּmid/da/MAsome of her bloodאֶל־הַקִּירel-hak/KIRon the wallוְאֶל־הַסּוּסִיםve/EL-has/su/SIMand on the horsesוַיִּרְמְסֶנָּה׃vay/yir/me/SEN/naand he trampled her

    And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

34. 34

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he went inוַיֹּאכַלvay/YO/khaland he ateוַיֵּשְׁתְּvay/YESHTand he drankוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidפִּקְדוּ־נָאpik/DU-naattend now toאֶת־הָאֲרוּרָהet-ha/a/ru/RAcursed womanהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְקִבְרוּהָve/kiv/RU/haand bury herכִּיkiforבַת־מֶלֶךְvat-ME/lekha king's daughterהִיא׃hishe is

    And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

35. 35

    וַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentלְקׇבְרָהּle/kov/RAto bury herוְלֹא־מָצְאוּve/LO-ma/tse/Ubut did not findבָהּvaof herכִּיkibutאִם־הַגֻּלְגֹּלֶתim-hag/gul/GO/letonly the skullוְהָרַגְלַיִםve/ha/rag/LA/yimand the feetוְכַפּוֹתve/khap/POTand the palms ofהַיָּדָיִם׃hay/ya/DA/yimthe hands

    And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

36. 36

    וַיָּשֻׁבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand they returnedוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand toldלוֹloto himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDהוּאhuit isאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבֶּרdib/BERHe spokeבְּיַד־עַבְדּוֹbe/YAD-av/DOby the hand of his servantאֵלִיָּהוּE/liy/YA/huElijahהַתִּשְׁבִּיhat/Tish/BIthe Tishbiteלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבְּחֵלֶקbe/CHE/lekin the portion ofיִזְרְעֶאלYiz/re/ELJezreelיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUshall eatהַכְּלָבִיםhak/ke/la/VIMthe dogsאֶת־בְּשַׂרet-be/SARthe flesh ofאִיזָבֶל׃I/ZA/velJezebel

    Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

37. 37

    (והית)vahayat[וְהָיְתָה]ve/ha/ye/TAand shall beנִבְלַתniv/LATthe carcass ofאִיזֶבֶלI/ZE/velJezebelכְּדֹמֶןke/DO/menas dungעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldבְּחֵלֶקbe/CHE/lekin the portion ofיִזְרְעֶאלYiz/re/ELJezreelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERso thatלֹא־יֹאמְרוּlo-yo/me/RUthey shall not sayזֹאתzotthis isאִיזָבֶל׃I/ZA/velJezebel

    And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
