   Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

   And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

   And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

   And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

   And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

   And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaדַּמֶּשֶׂקDam/ME/sekto Damascusוּבֶן־הֲדַדu/VEN-ha/DADand Ben-hadadמֶלֶךְ־אֲרָםME/lekh-A/RAMthe king of Aramחֹלֶהcho/LEwas sickוַיֻּגַּד־לוֹvay/yug/GAD-loand it was told himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּאbahas comeאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodעַד־הֵנָּה׃ad-HEN/nahere

   And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶל־חֲזָהאֵלel-Cha/zah/ELto Hazaelקַחkachtakeבְּיָדְךָbe/ya/de/KHAin your handמִנְחָהmin/CHAa presentוְלֵךְve/LEKHand goלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְדָרַשְׁתָּve/da/rash/TAand inquire ofאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDמֵאוֹתוֹme/o/TOthrough himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהַאֶחְיֶהha/ech/YEshall I recoverמֵחֳלִיme/cho/LIfrom sicknessזֶה׃zethis

   And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

   וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentחֲזָאֵלCha/za/ELHazaelלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookמִנְחָהmin/CHAa presentבְיָדוֹve/ya/DOin his handוְכׇל־טוּבve/KHOL-tuvof every good thing ofדַּמֶּשֶׂקDam/ME/sekDamascusמַשָּׂאmas/SAa load ofאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyגָּמָלga/MALcamelsוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבִּנְךָbin/KHAyour sonבֶן־הֲדַדven-Ha/DADBen-hadadמֶלֶךְ־אֲרָםME/lekh-A/RAMthe king of Aramשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nihas sent meאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהַאֶחְיֶהha/ech/YEshall I recoverמֵחֳלִיme/cho/LIfrom sicknessזֶה׃zethis

   So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaלֵךְlekhgoאֱמׇר־[לוֹ]e/MOR-losay to him(לא)lחָיֹהcha/YOrecoverתִחְיֶהtich/YEyou shall recoverוְהִרְאַנִיve/hir/A/nibut has shown meיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּי־מוֹתki-motthat dieיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe shall die

    And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.

11. 11

    וַיַּעֲמֵדvay/ya/a/MEDand he fixedאֶת־פָּנָיוet-pa/NAYVhis faceוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand set itעַד־בֹּשׁad-boshuntil ashamedוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand he weptאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחֲזָאֵלCha/za/ELHazaelמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordבֹכֶהvo/KHEweepsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidכִּי־יָדַעְתִּיki-ya/DA/tibecause I knowאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־תַּעֲשֶׂהet-a/SHER-ta/a/SEwhat you will doלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelרָעָהra/Aevilמִבְצְרֵיהֶםmiv/tse/re/HEMtheir fortressesתְּשַׁלַּחte/shal/LACHyou will sendבָּאֵשׁba/ESHinto fireוּבַחֻרֵיהֶםu/va/chu/re/HEMand their young menבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordתַּהֲרֹגta/ha/ROGyou will slayוְעֹלְלֵיהֶםve/ol/le/HEMand their infantsתְּרַטֵּשׁte/rat/TESHyou will dashוְהָרֹתֵיהֶםve/ha/ro/te/HEMand their pregnant womenתְּבַקֵּעַ׃te/vak/KE/ayou will rip open

    And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחֲזָהאֵלCha/zah/ELHazaelכִּיkibutמָהmawhat isעַבְדְּךָav/de/KHAyour servantהַכֶּלֶבhak/KE/levthe dogכִּיkithatיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe shall doהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaהִרְאַנִיhir/A/nihas shown meיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתְךָot/KHAyouמֶלֶךְME/lekhas kingעַל־אֲרָם׃al-A/RAMover Aram

    And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

14. 14

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhso he departedמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֶל־אֲדֹנָיוel-a/do/NAYVto his masterוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלוֹloto himמָה־אָמַרma-a/MARwhat did sayלְךָle/KHAto youאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאָמַרa/MARhe toldלִיlito meחָיֹהcha/YOrecoverתִחְיֶה׃tich/YEyou shall recover

    So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

15. 15

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִמׇּחֳרָתmim/mo/cho/RATon the next dayוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookהַמַּכְבֵּרham/makh/BERthe clothוַיִּטְבֹּלvay/yit/BOLand dippedבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin the waterוַיִּפְרֹשׂvay/yif/ROSand spread itעַל־פָּנָיוal-pa/NAYVupon his faceוַיָּמֹתvay/ya/MOTand he diedוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedחֲזָהאֵלCha/zah/ELHazaelתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

    וּבִשְׁנַתu/vish/NATand in the year ofחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveלְיוֹרָםle/Yo/RAMof Joramבֶּן־אַחְאָבben-Ach/AVthe son of AhabמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוִיהוֹשָׁפָטVi/ho/sha/FATand JehoshaphatמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahמָלַךְma/LAKHreignedיְהוֹרָםYe/ho/RAMJehoramבֶּן־יְהוֹשָׁפָטben-Ye/ho/sha/FATthe son of JehoshaphatמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

17. 17

    בֶּן־שְׁלֹשִׁיםben-she/lo/SHIMa son of thirtyוּשְׁתַּיִםush/TA/yimand twoשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsהָיָהha/YAhe wasבְמׇלְכוֹve/mol/KHOwhen he began to reignוּשְׁמֹנֶהu/she/mo/NEand eight(שנה)shanah[שָׁנִים]sha/NIMyearsמָלַךְma/LAKHhe reignedבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

    Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

18. 18

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand he walkedבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin the way ofמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשׂוּa/SUdidבֵּיתbetthe house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabכִּיkiforבַּת־אַחְאָבbat-Ach/AVthe daughter of Ahabהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasלּוֹloto himלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAas wifeוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

19. 19

    וְלֹא־אָבָהve/LO-a/VAyet was not willingיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyאֶת־יְהוּדָהet-Ye/hu/DAJudahלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidעַבְדּוֹav/DOhis servantכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַר־לוֹa/MAR-loHe promised himלָתֵתla/TETto giveלוֹloto himנִירnira lampלְבָנָיוle/va/NAYVto his sonsכׇּל־הַיָּמִים׃kol-hay/ya/MIMalways

    Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

20. 20

    בְּיָמָיוbe/ya/MAYVin his daysפָּשַׁעpa/SHArebelledאֱדוֹםE/DOMEdomמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatfrom beneathיַד־יְהוּדָהyad-Ye/hu/DAthe hand of Judahוַיַּמְלִכוּvay/yam/LI/khuand they made kingעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themselvesמֶלֶךְ׃ME/lekha king

    In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

21. 21

    וַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORthen crossed overיוֹרָםYo/RAMJoramצָעִירָהTsa/I/rato Zairוְכׇל־הָרֶכֶבve/KHOL-ha/RE/khevand all the chariotsעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוַיְהִי־הוּאvay/HI-huand it came to pass heקָםkamroseלַיְלָהLAY/laby nightוַיַּכֶּהvay/yak/KEand he struckאֶת־אֱדוֹםet-E/DOMEdomהַסֹּבֵיבhas/so/VEVthat had surroundedאֵלָיוe/LAYVhimוְאֵתve/ETandשָׂרֵיsa/REthe commanders ofהָרֶכֶבha/RE/khevthe chariotsוַיָּנׇסvay/YA/nosand fledהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלְאֹהָלָיו׃le/o/ha/LAYVto their tents

    So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

    וַיִּפְשַׁעvay/yif/SHAso rebelledאֱדוֹםE/DOMEdomמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatfrom beneathיַד־יְהוּדָהyad-Ye/hu/DAthe hand of Judahעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMdayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאָזazthenתִּפְשַׁעtif/SHArebelledלִבְנָהLiv/NALibnahבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

23. 23

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe acts ofיוֹרָםYo/RAMJoramוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatעָשָׂהa/SAhe didהֲלֹא־הֵםha/LO-hemare they notכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin the book ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe events ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysלְמַלְכֵיle/mal/KHEof the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

24. 24

    וַיִּשְׁכַּבvay/yish/KAVand sleptיוֹרָםYo/RAMJoramעִם־אֲבֹתָיוim-a/vo/TAYVwith his fathersוַיִּקָּבֵרvay/yik/ka/VERand was buriedעִם־אֲבֹתָיוim-a/vo/TAYVwith his fathersבְּעִירbe/IRin the city ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedאֲחַזְיָהוּA/chaz/YA/huAhaziahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

    In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.

    Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand he walkedבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin the way ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכְּבֵיתke/VETas the house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabכִּיkiforחֲתַןcha/TANa son in law ofבֵּית־אַחְאָבbet-Ach/AVthe house of Ahabהוּא׃huwas he

    And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

28. 28

    And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramoth-gilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand went backיוֹרָםYo/RAMJoramהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingלְהִתְרַפֵּאle/hit/rap/PEto be healedבְיִזְרְעֶאלve/Yiz/re/ELin Jezreelמִן־הַמַּכִּיםmin-ham/mak/KIMof the woundsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַכֻּהוּyak/KU/huhad struck himאֲרַמִּיםA/ram/MIMthe Arameansבָּרָמָהba/Ra/MAat Ramahבְּהִלָּחֲמוֹbe/hil/la/cha/MOwhen he fought withאֶת־חֲזָהאֵלet-Cha/zah/ELHazaelמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofאֲרָםA/RAMAramוַאֲחַזְיָהוּva/A/chaz/YA/huand Ahaziahבֶן־יְהוֹרָםven-Ye/ho/RAMthe son of JehoramמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahיָרַדya/RADwent downלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־יוֹרָםet-Yo/RAMJoramבֶּן־אַחְאָבben-Ach/AVthe son of Ahabבְּיִזְרְעֶאלbe/Yiz/re/ELin Jezreelכִּי־חֹלֶהki-cho/LEfor sickהוּא׃huwas he

    And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
