   Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaמָהmawhatאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְe/e/SE-lakhshall I do for youהַגִּידִיhag/GI/ditellלִיlito meמַה־יֶּשׁ־[לָךְ]ma-yesh-lakhwhat do you have(לכי)lakhayבַּבָּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidאֵיןenhas notלְשִׁפְחָתְךָle/shif/cha/te/KHAyour handmaidכֹלkholanythingבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseכִּיkiexceptאִם־אָסוּךְim-a/SUKHonly a jar ofשָׁמֶן׃SHA/menoil

   And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלְכִיle/KHIgoשַׁאֲלִי־לָךְsha/a/LI-lakhborrow for yourselfכֵּלִיםke/LIMvesselsמִן־הַחוּץmin-ha/CHUTSfrom outsideמֵאֵתme/ETfromכׇּל־[שְׁכֵנָיִךְ]kol-she/khe/NA/yikhall your neighborsכֵּלִיםke/LIMvesselsרֵקִיםre/KIMemptyאַל־תַּמְעִיטִי׃al-tam/I/tinot a few

   Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

   וּבָאתu/VATand go inוְסָגַרְתְּve/sa/GARTand shutהַדֶּלֶתhad/DE/letthe doorבַּעֲדֵךְba/a/DEKHbehind youוּבְעַד־בָּנַיִךְu/ve/AD-ba/NA/yikhand behind your sonsוְיָצַקְתְּve/ya/TSAKTand pourעַלalintoכׇּל־הַכֵּלִיםkol-hak/ke/LIMall the vesselsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְהַמָּלֵאve/ham/ma/LEand the fullתַּסִּיעִי׃tas/SI/iset aside

   And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

   וַתֵּלֶךְvat/TE/lekhand she wentמֵאִתּוֹme/it/TOfrom himוַתִּסְגֹּרvat/tis/GORand she shutהַדֶּלֶתhad/DE/letthe doorבַּעֲדָהּba/a/DAbehind herוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand behindבָּנֶיהָba/NE/haher sonsהֵםhemtheyמַגִּישִׁיםmag/gi/SHIMwere bringingאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herוְהִיאve/HIand she[מוֹצָקֶת]׃mo/TSA/ketwas pouring

   So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּמְלֹאתkim/LOTwhen were fullהַכֵּלִיםhak/ke/LIMthe vesselsוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/mershe saidאֶל־בְּנָהּel-be/NAto her sonהַגִּישָׁהhag/GI/shabringאֵלַיe/LAYto meעוֹדodanotherכֶּלִיKE/lia vesselוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herאֵיןenthere is notעוֹדodanotherכֶּלִיKE/lia vesselוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoppedהַשָּׁמֶן׃hash/SHA/menthe oil

   And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

   וַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand she cameוַתַּגֵּדvat/tag/GEDand toldלְאִישׁle/ISHto the man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלְכִיle/KHIgoמִכְרִיmikh/RIsellאֶת־הַשֶּׁמֶןet-hash/SHE/menthe oilוְשַׁלְּמִיve/shal/le/MIand payאֶת־[נִשְׁיֵךְ]et-nish/YEKHyour debtוְאַתְּve/ATTand you[וּבָנַיִךְ]u/va/NA/yikhand your sonsתִּחְיִיtich/YIliveבַּנּוֹתָר׃ban/no/TARon the rest

   Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהַיּוֹםhay/YOMone dayוַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORthat passedאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaאֶל־שׁוּנֵםel-Shu/NEMto Shunemוְשָׁםve/SHAMwhere wasאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוַתַּחֲזֶק־בּוֹvat/ta/cha/ZEK-boand she urged himלֶאֱכׇל־לָחֶםle/e/KHOL-LA/chemto eat breadוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִדֵּיmid/DEwheneverעׇבְרוֹov/ROhe passedיָסֻרya/SURhe would turn inשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereלֶאֱכׇל־לָחֶם׃le/e/KHOL-LA/chemto eat bread

   And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֶל־אִישָׁהּel-i/SHAto her husbandהִנֵּה־נָאhin/NE-nabehold nowיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatאִישׁisha man ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyהוּאhuis heעֹבֵרo/VERwho passesעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuby usתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDcontinually

   And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.

    נַעֲשֶׂה־נָּאna/a/SE-nalet us make nowעֲלִיַּת־קִירa/liy/YAT-kiran upper room with wallsקְטַנָּהke/tan/NAsmallוְנָשִׂיםve/na/SIMand let us putלוֹlofor himשָׁםshamthereמִטָּהmit/TAa bedוְשֻׁלְחָןve/shul/CHANand a tableוְכִסֵּאve/khis/SEand a chairוּמְנוֹרָהu/me/no/RAand a lampstandוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he comesאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usיָסוּרya/SURhe shall turn inשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

    Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהַיּוֹםhay/YOMone dayוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOthat he cameשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereוַיָּסַרvay/YA/sarand he turned inאֶל־הָעֲלִיָּהel-ha/a/liy/YAto the upper roomוַיִּשְׁכַּב־שָׁמָּה׃vay/yish/KAV-SHAM/maand lay there

    And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־גֵּיחֲזִיel-Ge/cha/ZIto Gehaziנַעֲרוֹna/a/ROhis servantקְרָאke/RAcallלַשּׁוּנַמִּיתlash/Shu/nam/MITthe Shunammiteהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַיִּקְרָא־לָהּvay/yik/RA-laand he called herוַתַּעֲמֹדvat/ta/a/MODand she stoodלְפָנָיו׃le/fa/NAYVbefore him

    And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹloto himאֱמׇר־נָאe/MOR-nasay nowאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdחָרַדְתְּcha/RADTyou have taken careאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nufor usאֶת־כׇּל־הַחֲרָדָהet-kol-ha/cha/ra/DAwith all the careהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisמֶהmewhat isלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto be doneלָךְlakhfor youהֲיֵשׁha/YESHis thereלְדַבֶּר־לָךְle/dab/BER-lakhto speak for youאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingאוֹoorאֶל־שַׂרel-sarto the commander ofהַצָּבָאhats/tsa/VAthe armyוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongעַמִּיam/MImy peopleאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIיֹשָׁבֶת׃yo/SHA/vetdwell

    And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidוּמֶהu/MEand whatלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto be doneלָהּlafor herוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidגֵּיחֲזִיGe/cha/ZIGehaziאֲבָלa/VALindeedבֵּןbena sonאֵין־לָהּen-lashe has notוְאִישָׁהּve/i/SHAand her husbandזָקֵן׃za/KENis old

    And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidקְרָא־לָהּke/RA-lacall herוַיִּקְרָא־לָהּvay/yik/RA-laand he called herוַתַּעֲמֹדvat/ta/a/MODand she stoodבַּפָּתַח׃bap/PA/tachin the doorway

    And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.

16. 16

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלַמּוֹעֵדlam/mo/EDat the set timeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכָּעֵתka/ETaccording to the timeחַיָּהchay/YAof life(אתי)tay[אַתְּ]attyouחֹבֶקֶתcho/VE/ketwill embraceבֵּןbena sonוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidאַל־אֲדֹנִיal-a/do/NIno my lordאִישׁishO man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאַל־תְּכַזֵּבal-te/khaz/ZEVdo not lieבְּשִׁפְחָתֶךָ׃be/shif/cha/TE/khato your handmaid

    And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.

17. 17

    וַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreבֵּןbena sonלַמּוֹעֵדlam/mo/EDat the set timeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכָּעֵתka/ETaccording to the timeחַיָּהchay/YAof lifeאֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרa/SHER-dib/BERthat had spokenאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herאֱלִישָׁע׃E/li/SHAElisha

    And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

18. 18

    וַיִּגְדַּלvay/yig/DALand grewהַיָּלֶדhay/YA/ledthe childוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהַיּוֹםhay/YOMone dayוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outאֶל־אָבִיוel-a/VIVto his fatherאֶל־הַקֹּצְרִים׃el-hak/kots/RIMto the reapers

    And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־אָבִיוel-a/VIVto his fatherרֹאשִׁיro/SHImy headרֹאשִׁיro/SHImy headוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־הַנַּעַרel-han/NA/arto the servantשָׂאֵהוּsa/E/hucarry himאֶל־אִמּוֹ׃el-im/MOto his mother

    And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

20. 20

    וַיִּשָּׂאֵהוּvay/yis/sa/E/huand he carried himוַיְבִיאֵהוּvay/vi/E/huand he brought himאֶל־אִמּוֹel-im/MOto his motherוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he satעַל־בִּרְכֶּיהָal-bir/KE/haupon her kneesעַד־הַצׇּהֳרַיִםad-hats/tso/ho/RA/yimuntil noonוַיָּמֹת׃vay/ya/MOTand he died

    And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

    וַתַּעַלvat/TA/aland she went upוַתַּשְׁכִּבֵהוּvat/tash/ki/VE/huand laid himעַל־מִטַּתal-mit/TATupon the bed ofאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַתִּסְגֹּרvat/tis/GORand she shutבַּעֲדוֹba/a/DOupon himוַתֵּצֵא׃vat/te/TSEand went out

    And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

    וַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶל־אִישָׁהּel-i/SHAto her husbandוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidשִׁלְחָהshil/CHAsendנָאnapleaseלִיlimeאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִן־הַנְּעָרִיםmin-han/ne/a/RIMfrom the young menוְאַחַתve/a/CHATand one ofהָאֲתֹנוֹתha/a/to/NOTthe she assesוְאָרוּצָהve/a/RU/tsathat I may runעַד־אִישׁad-ishto the man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְאָשׁוּבָה׃ve/a/SHU/vaand come back

    And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhy(אתי)tay[אַתְּ]attare you(הלכתי)halakhatay[הֹלֶכֶת]ho/LE/khetgoingאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayלֹא־חֹדֶשׁlo-CHO/deshit is not new moonוְלֹאve/LOnorשַׁבָּתShab/BATSabbathוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidשָׁלוֹם׃sha/LOMpeace

    And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

24. 24

    וַתַּחֲבֹשׁvat/ta/cha/VOSHand she saddledהָאָתוֹןha/a/TONthe donkeyוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֶל־נַעֲרָהּel-na/a/RAto her servantנְהַגne/HAGdriveוָלֵךְva/LEKHand goאַל־תַּעֲצׇר־לִיal-ta/a/TSOR-lido not hold back for meלִרְכֹּבlir/KOVridingכִּיkiunlessאִם־אָמַרְתִּיim-a/MAR/tiI tellלָךְ׃lakhto you

    Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.

25. 25

    וַתֵּלֶךְvat/TE/lekhand she wentוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand cameאֶל־אִישׁel-ishto the man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֶל־הַרel-harto the mountain ofהַכַּרְמֶלHak/kar/MELCarmelוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּרְאוֹתkir/OTwhen sawאִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִיםish-ha/e/lo/HIMthe man of Godאֹתָהּo/TAherמִנֶּגֶדmin/NE/gedat a distanceוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־גֵּיחֲזִיel-Ge/cha/ZIto Gehaziנַעֲרוֹna/a/ROhis servantהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַשּׁוּנַמִּיתhash/Shu/nam/MITthe Shunammiteהַלָּז׃hal/LAZthere

    So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:

26. 26

    עַתָּהat/TAnowרוּץ־נָאruts-narun pleaseלִקְרָאתָהּlik/ra/TAto meet herוֶאֱמׇר־לָהּve/e/MOR-laand say to herהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it wellלָךְlakhto youהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it wellלְאִישֵׁךְle/i/SHEKHto your husbandהֲשָׁלוֹםha/sha/LOMis it wellלַיָּלֶדlay/YA/ledto the childוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidשָׁלוֹם׃sha/LOMpeace

    Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.

27. 27

    וַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand cameאֶל־אִישׁel-ishto the man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֶל־הָהָרel-ha/HARto the mountainוַתַּחֲזֵקvat/ta/cha/ZEKand she caughtבְּרַגְלָיוbe/rag/LAYVby his feetוַיִּגַּשׁvay/yig/GASHand came nearגֵּיחֲזִיGe/cha/ZIGehaziלְהׇדְפָהּle/hod/FAto thrust her awayוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהַרְפֵּה־לָהּhar/PE-lalet her aloneכִּי־נַפְשָׁהּki-naf/SHAfor her soulמָרָה־לָהּma/RA-lais bitter to herוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDהֶעְלִיםhe/LIMhas hidden itמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meוְלֹאve/LOand notהִגִּידhig/GIDhas toldלִי׃lito me

    And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidהֲשָׁאַלְתִּיha/sha/AL/tidid I ask forבֵןvena sonמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordהֲלֹאha/LOdid notאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלֹאlonotתַשְׁלֶהtash/LEdeceiveאֹתִי׃o/TIme

    Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלְגֵיחֲזִיle/Ge/cha/ZIto Gehaziחֲגֹרcha/GORgird upמׇתְנֶיךָmot/NE/khayour loinsוְקַחve/KACHand takeמִשְׁעַנְתִּיmish/an/TImy staffבְיָדְךָve/ya/de/KHAin your handוָלֵךְva/LEKHand goכִּי־תִמְצָאki-tim/TSAif you meetאִישׁisha manלֹאlodo notתְבָרְכֶנּוּte/va/re/KHEN/nugreet himוְכִי־יְבָרֶכְךָve/KHI-ye/va/rekh/KHAand if greets youאִישׁisha manלֹאlodo notתַעֲנֶנּוּta/a/nen/NUanswer himוְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand layמִשְׁעַנְתִּיmish/an/TImy staffעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהַנָּעַר׃han/NA/arthe lad

    Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֵםemthe mother ofהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe boyחַי־יְהֹוָהchay-Adonaias the LORD livesוְחֵי־נַפְשְׁךָve/CHE-naf/she/KHAand as your soul livesאִם־אֶעֶזְבֶךָּim-e/ez/VEK/kaif I leave youוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand he aroseוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand followedאַחֲרֶיהָ׃a/cha/RE/haafter her

    And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.

    וְגֵחֲזִיve/Ge/cha/ZIand Gehaziעָבַרa/VARwent onלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand laidאֶת־הַמִּשְׁעֶנֶתet-ham/mish/E/netthe staffעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe boyוְאֵיןve/ENbut there was noקוֹלkolvoiceוְאֵיןve/ENand noקָשֶׁבKA/shevattentionוַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand he went backלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himוַיַּגֶּד־לוֹvay/YAG/ged-loand told himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹאlonotהֵקִיץhe/KITShas awokenהַנָּעַר׃han/NA/arthe boy

    And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֱלִישָׁעE/li/SHAElishaהַבָּיְתָהhab/BAY/tato the houseוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe boyמֵתmetwas deadמֻשְׁכָּבmush/KAVlaidעַל־מִטָּתוֹ׃al-mit/ta/TOupon his bed

    And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.

33. 33

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he went inוַיִּסְגֹּרvay/yis/GORand shutהַדֶּלֶתhad/DE/letthe doorבְּעַדbe/ADuponשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMthe two of themוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELand he prayedאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃el-Adonaito the LORD

    He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD.

34. 34

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he went upוַיִּשְׁכַּבvay/yish/KAVand layעַל־הַיֶּלֶדal-hay/YE/ledupon the childוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand putפִּיוpivhis mouthעַל־פִּיוal-pivupon his mouthוְעֵינָיוve/e/NAYVand his eyesעַל־עֵינָיוal-e/NAYVupon his eyesוְכַפָּיוve/khap/PAYVand his palmsעַל־כַּפָּוal-kap/PAVupon his palmsוַיִּגְהַרvay/yig/HARand he bent overעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himוַיָּחׇםvay/YA/chomand grew warmבְּשַׂרbe/SARthe flesh ofהַיָּלֶד׃hay/YA/ledthe child

    And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.

35. 35

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand he turned backוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand walkedבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseאַחַתa/CHATonceהֵנָּהHEN/nahereוְאַחַתve/a/CHATand onceהֵנָּהHEN/nathereוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upוַיִּגְהַרvay/yig/HARand bent overעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himוַיְזוֹרֵרvay/zo/RERand sneezedהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe boyעַד־שֶׁבַעad-SHE/vasevenפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesוַיִּפְקַחvay/yif/KACHand he openedהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe boyאֶת־עֵינָיו׃et-e/NAYVhis eyes

    Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

36. 36

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledאֶל־גֵּיחֲזִיel-Ge/cha/ZIto Gehaziוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidקְרָאke/RAcallאֶל־הַשֻּׁנַמִּיתel-Hash/shu/nam/MITto the Shunammiteהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוַיִּקְרָאֶהָvay/yik/ra/E/haand he called herוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand she cameאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidשְׂאִיse/Itake upבְנֵךְ׃ve/NEKHyour son

    And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.

37. 37

    וַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand she went inוַתִּפֹּלvat/tip/POLand fellעַל־רַגְלָיוal-rag/LAYVat his feetוַתִּשְׁתַּחוּvat/tish/TA/chuand she bowed downאָרְצָהAR/tsato the groundוַתִּשָּׂאvat/tis/SAand took upאֶת־בְּנָהּet-be/NAher sonוַתֵּצֵא׃vat/te/TSEand went out

    Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

38. 38

    וֶאֱלִישָׁעVe/e/li/SHAand Elishaשָׁבshavreturnedהַגִּלְגָּלָהhag/Gil/GA/lato Gilgalוְהָרָעָבve/ha/ra/AVand there was famineבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsיֹשְׁבִיםyosh/VIMsittingלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלְנַעֲרוֹle/na/a/ROto his servantשְׁפֹתshe/FOTset onהַסִּירhas/SIRthe potהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe greatוּבַשֵּׁלu/vash/SHELand cookנָזִידna/ZIDstewלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the sons ofהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMthe prophets

    And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.

39. 39

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outאֶחָדe/CHADoneאֶל־הַשָּׂדֶהel-has/sa/DEto the fieldלְלַקֵּטle/lak/KETto gatherאֹרֹתo/ROTherbsוַיִּמְצָאvay/yim/TSAand foundגֶּפֶןGE/fena vine ofשָׂדֶהsa/DEthe fieldוַיְלַקֵּטvay/lak/KETand he gathered upמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itפַּקֻּעֹתpak/ku/OTgourds ofשָׂדֶהsa/DEthe fieldמְלֹאme/LOthe fill ofבִגְדוֹvig/DOhis garmentוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameוַיְפַלַּחvay/fal/LACHand sliced themאֶל־סִירel-sirinto the pot ofהַנָּזִידhan/na/ZIDthe stewכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notיָדָעוּ׃ya/DA/udid they know

    And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.

40. 40

    וַיִּצְקוּvay/yits/KUand they poured outלַאֲנָשִׁיםla/a/na/SHIMfor the menלֶאֱכוֹלle/e/KHOLto eatוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּאׇכְלָםke/okh/LAMas they were eatingמֵהַנָּזִידme/han/na/ZIDof the stewוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mathat theyצָעָקוּtsa/A/kucried outוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמָוֶתMA/vetdeathבַּסִּירbas/SIRin the potאִישׁishO man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹאve/LOand notיָכְלוּya/khe/LUthey couldלֶאֱכֹל׃le/e/KHOLto eat

    So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

41. 41

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidוּקְחוּ־קֶמַחu/ke/CHU-KE/machthen bring flourוַיַּשְׁלֵךְvay/yash/LEKHand he castאֶל־הַסִּירel-has/SIRinto the potוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidצַקtsakpour outלָעָםla/AMfor the peopleוְיֹאכֵלוּve/yo/KHE/luthat they may eatוְלֹאve/LOand notהָיָהha/YAthere wasדָּבָרda/VARanythingרָעrabadבַּסִּיר׃bas/SIRin the pot

    But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.

42. 42

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manבָּאbacameמִבַּעַלmib/BA/alfrom Baal-שָׁלִשָׁהsha/LI/shashalishaוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand he broughtלְאִישׁle/ISHto the man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלֶחֶםLE/chembreadבִּכּוּרִיםbik/ku/RIMof firstfruitsעֶשְׂרִים־לֶחֶםes/RIM-LE/chemtwenty loaves ofשְׂעֹרִיםse/o/RIMbarleyוְכַרְמֶלve/khar/MELand fresh grainבְּצִקְלֹנוֹbe/tsik/lo/NOin his sackוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidתֵּןtengiveלָעָםla/AMto the peopleוְיֹאכֵלוּ׃ve/yo/KHE/luthat they may eat

    And there came a man from Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.

43. 43

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמְשָׁרְתוֹme/sha/re/TOhis servantמָהmahowאֶתֵּןet/TENshall I setזֶהzethisלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמֵאָהme/Aa hundredאִישׁishmenוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidתֵּןtengiveלָעָםla/AMto the peopleוְיֹאכֵלוּve/yo/KHE/luthat they may eatכִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאָכֹלa/KHOLeatוְהוֹתֵר׃ve/ho/TERand leave over

    And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.

44. 44

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENso he set itלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themוַיֹּאכְלוּvay/yo/khe/LUand they ateוַיּוֹתִרוּvay/yo/TI/ruand they left overכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.
