   And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

   And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.

   And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

   And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Beth-el.

   וְהִשְׁבִּיתve/hish/BITand he put downאֶת־הַכְּמָרִיםet-hak/ke/ma/RIMthe idolatrous priestsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomנָתְנוּna/te/NUhad appointedמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוַיְקַטֵּרvay/kat/TERand burned incenseבַּבָּמוֹתbab/ba/MOTat the high placesבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּמְסִבֵּיu/me/sib/BEand the surroundings ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְאֶת־הַמְקַטְּרִיםve/ET-ham/kat/te/RIMand those who burned incenseלַבַּעַלlab/BA/alto the Baalלַשֶּׁמֶשׁlash/SHE/meshto the sunוְלַיָּרֵחַve/lay/ya/RE/achand to the moonוְלַמַּזָּלוֹתve/lam/maz/za/LOTand to the constellationsוּלְכֹלu/le/KHOLand to allצְבָאtse/VAthe host ofהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavens

   And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

   וַיֹּצֵאvay/yo/TSEand he brought outאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרָהet-Ha/a/she/RAthe Asherahמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםLi/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemאֶל־נַחַלel-NA/chalto the brookקִדְרוֹןKid/RONKidronוַיִּשְׂרֹףvay/yis/ROFand he burnedאֹתָהּo/TAitבְּנַחַלbe/NA/chalat the brookקִדְרוֹןKid/RONKidronוַיָּדֶקvay/YA/dekand ground itלְעָפָרle/a/FARto dustוַיַּשְׁלֵךְvay/yash/LEKHand he castאֶת־עֲפָרָהּet-a/fa/RAits dustעַל־קֶבֶרal-KE/veron the graves ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

   And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.

   וַיִּתֹּץvay/yit/TOTSand he tore downאֶת־בָּתֵּיet-bat/TEthe houses ofהַקְּדֵשִׁיםhak/ke/de/SHIMthe male cult prostitutesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהַנָּשִׁיםhan/na/SHIMthe womenאֹרְגוֹתor/GOTwere weavingשָׁםshamthereבָּתִּיםbat/TIMhousesלָאֲשֵׁרָה׃la/A/she/RAfor the Asherah

   And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.

   וַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand he brought inאֶת־כׇּל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםet-kol-hak/ko/ha/NIMall the priestsמֵעָרֵיme/a/REfrom the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוַיְטַמֵּאvay/tam/MEand defiledאֶת־הַבָּמוֹתet-hab/ba/MOTthe high placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereקִטְּרוּ־שָׁמָּהkit/te/RU-SHAM/mahad burned incense thereהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsמִגֶּבַעmig/GE/vafrom Gebaעַד־בְּאֵרad-Be/ERto Beer-שָׁבַעSHA/vashebaוְנָתַץve/na/TATSand he tore downאֶת־בָּמוֹתet-ba/MOTthe high places ofהַשְּׁעָרִיםhash/she/a/RIMthe gatesאֲשֶׁר־פֶּתַחa/SHER-PE/tachthat were at the entrance ofשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate ofיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaשַׂר־הָעִירsar-ha/IRthe governor of the cityאֲשֶׁר־עַל־שְׂמֹאולa/SHER-al-se/MOLwhich were on the left ofאִישׁisha manבְּשַׁעַרbe/SHA/arat the gate ofהָעִיר׃ha/IRthe city

   And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beer-sheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.

   אַךְakhhoweverלֹאlonotיַעֲלוּya/a/LUdid go upכֹּהֲנֵיko/ha/NEthe priests ofהַבָּמוֹתhab/ba/MOTthe high placesאֶל־מִזְבַּחel-miz/BACHto the altar ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemכִּיkibutאִם־אָכְלוּim-a/khe/LUthey ateמַצּוֹתmats/TSOTunleavened breadבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongאֲחֵיהֶם׃a/che/HEMtheir brethren

   Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.

10. 10

    וְטִמֵּאve/tim/MEand he defiledאֶת־הַתֹּפֶתet-Hat/TO/fetTophethאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבְּגֵיbe/GEin the valley of(בני)vanay[בֶן־]הִנֹּםven-Hin/NOMof the son of Hinnomלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso that notלְהַעֲבִירle/ha/a/VIRmake passאִישׁishanyoneאֶת־בְּנוֹet-be/NOhis sonוְאֶת־בִּתּוֹve/ET-bit/TOor his daughterבָּאֵשׁba/ESHthrough the fireלַמֹּלֶךְ׃lam/MO/lekhto Molech

    And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.

    וַיַּשְׁבֵּתvay/yash/BETand he removedאֶת־הַסּוּסִיםet-has/su/SIMthe horsesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתְנוּna/te/NUhad givenמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahלַשֶּׁמֶשׁlash/SHE/meshto the sunמִבֹּאmib/BOat the entrance ofבֵית־יְהֹוָהvet-Adonaithe house of the LORDאֶל־לִשְׁכַּתel-lish/KATby the chamber ofנְתַן־מֶלֶךְNe/TAN-ME/lekhNathan-melechהַסָּרִיסhas/sa/RISthe officialאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wasבַּפַּרְוָרִיםbap/par/va/RIMin the precinctsוְאֶת־מַרְכְּבוֹתve/ET-mar/ke/VOTand the chariots ofהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunשָׂרַףsa/RAFhe burnedבָּאֵשׁ׃ba/ESHwith fire

    And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.

    וְאֶת־הַמִּזְבְּחוֹתve/ET-ham/miz/be/CHOTand the altarsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereעַל־הַגָּגal-hag/GAGon the roof ofעֲלִיַּתa/liy/YATthe upper chamber ofאָחָזA/CHAZAhazאֲשֶׁר־עָשׂוּa/SHER-a/SUthat had madeמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְאֶת־הַמִּזְבְּחוֹתve/ET-ham/miz/be/CHOTand the altarsאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAthat had madeמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehבִּשְׁתֵּיbish/TEin the twoחַצְרוֹתchats/ROTcourts ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDנָתַץna/TATStore downהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיָּרׇץvay/YA/rotsand he broke themמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוְהִשְׁלִיךְve/hish/LIKHand castאֶת־עֲפָרָםet-a/fa/RAMtheir dustאֶל־נַחַלel-NA/chalinto the brookקִדְרוֹן׃Kid/RONKidron

    And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

    וְאֶת־הַבָּמוֹתve/ET-hab/ba/MOTand the high placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wereמִימִיןmi/MINon the rightלְהַר־הַמַּשְׁחִיתle/HAR-ham/mash/CHITof the Mount of Corruptionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּנָהba/NAhad builtשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵלME/lekh-Yis/ra/ELthe king of Israelלְעַשְׁתֹּרֶתle/Ash/TO/retfor Ashtorethשִׁקֻּץshik/KUTSthe detestable thing ofצִידֹנִיםTsi/do/NIMthe Sidoniansוְלִכְמוֹשׁve/Likh/MOSHand for Chemoshשִׁקֻּץshik/KUTSthe detestable thing ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוּלְמִלְכֹּםu/Le/mil/KOMand for Milcomתּוֹעֲבַתto/a/VATthe abomination ofבְּנֵי־עַמּוֹןbe/NE-am/MONthe children of Ammonטִמֵּאtim/MEdefiledהַמֶּלֶךְ׃ham/ME/lekhthe king

    And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.

    וְשִׁבַּרve/shib/BARand he brokeאֶת־הַמַּצֵּבוֹתet-ham/mats/tse/VOTthe pillarsוַיִּכְרֹתvay/yikh/ROTand he cut downאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרִיםet-Ha/a/she/RIMthe Asherimוַיְמַלֵּאvay/mal/LEand filledאֶת־מְקוֹמָםet-me/ko/MAMtheir placeעַצְמוֹתats/MOTwith the bones ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

    And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַet-ham/miz/BE/achthe altarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבְּבֵית־אֵלbe/VET-elin Beth-elהַבָּמָהhab/ba/MAthe high placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAhad madeיָרׇבְעָםYa/rov/AMJeroboamבֶּן־נְבָטben-Ne/VATthe son of Nebatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֶחֱטִיאhe/che/TImade to sinאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelגַּםgambothאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַet-ham/miz/BE/achthe altarהַהוּאha/HUthatוְאֶת־הַבָּמָהve/ET-hab/ba/MAand the high placeנָתָץna/TATShe tore downוַיִּשְׂרֹףvay/yis/ROFand he burnedאֶת־הַבָּמָהet-hab/ba/MAthe high placeהֵדַקhe/DAKcrushedלְעָפָרle/a/FARto dustוְשָׂרַףve/sa/RAFand burnedאֲשֵׁרָה׃A/she/RAthe Asherah

    Moreover the altar that was at Beth-el, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.

    וַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand as turnedיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הַקְּבָרִיםet-hak/ke/va/RIMthe gravesאֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamthat were thereבָּהָרba/HARon the mountוַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֶת־הָעֲצָמוֹתet-ha/a/tsa/MOTthe bonesמִן־הַקְּבָרִיםmin-hak/ke/va/RIMfrom the gravesוַיִּשְׂרֹףvay/yis/ROFand burned themעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarוַיְטַמְּאֵהוּvay/tam/me/E/huand defiled itכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatקָרָאka/RAproclaimedאִישׁishthe man ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoקָרָאka/RAproclaimedאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merthen he saidמָהmawhat isהַצִּיּוּןhats/tsiy/YUNmonumentהַלָּזhal/LAZthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנִיa/NIIרֹאֶהro/Eseeוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַקֶּבֶרhak/KE/verthe tomb ofאִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִיםish-ha/e/lo/HIMthe man of Godאֲשֶׁר־בָּאa/SHER-bawho cameמִיהוּדָהmI/hu/DAfrom Judahוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand proclaimedאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou have doneעַלalagainstהַמִּזְבַּחham/miz/BACHthe altar ofבֵּית־אֵל׃Bet-elBeth-el

    Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Beth-el.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהַנִּיחוּhan/NI/chulet aloneלוֹlohimאִישׁisha manאַל־יָנַעal-ya/NAlet not moveעַצְמוֹתָיוats/mo/TAYVhis bonesוַיְמַלְּטוּvay/mal/le/TUso they let aloneעַצְמוֹתָיוats/mo/TAYVhis bonesאֵת־עַצְמוֹתet-ats/MOTwith the bones ofהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetאֲשֶׁר־בָּאa/SHER-bawho cameמִשֹּׁמְרוֹן׃mish/Shom/RONfrom Samaria

    And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

    And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Beth-el.

    וַיִּזְבַּחvay/yiz/BACHand he slaughteredאֶת־כׇּל־כֹּהֲנֵיet-kol-ko/ha/NEall the priests ofהַבָּמוֹתhab/ba/MOTthe high placesאֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamwho were thereעַל־הַמִּזְבְּחוֹתal-ham/miz/be/CHOTon the altarsוַיִּשְׂרֹףvay/yis/ROFand he burnedאֶת־עַצְמוֹתet-ats/MOTthe bones ofאָדָםa/DAMmanעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand returnedיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalem

    And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.

21. 21

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶת־כׇּל־הָעָםet-kol-ha/AMall the peopleלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעֲשׂוּa/SUkeepפֶסַחFE/sachthe Passoverלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenעַלalinסֵפֶרSE/ferthe book ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.

22. 22

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAhad been keptכַּפֶּסַחkap/PE/sachsuch a passover asהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisמִימֵיMI/mefrom the days ofהַשֹּׁפְטִיםhash/shof/TIMthe judgesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoשָׁפְטוּsha/fe/TUjudgedאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelוְכֹלve/KHOLor allיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּמַלְכֵיu/mal/KHEand the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;

23. 23

    כִּיkibutאִם־בִּשְׁמֹנֶה־עֶשְׂרֵהim-bish/mo/NE-es/REin the eighteenthשָׁנָהsha/NAyearלַמֶּלֶךְlam/ME/lekhof kingיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAwas keptהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

    But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem.

24. 24

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־הָאֹבוֹתet-ha/o/VOTthe mediumsוְאֶת־הַיִּדְּעֹנִיםve/ET-hay/yid/de/o/NIMand the spiritistsוְאֶת־הַתְּרָפִיםve/ET-hat/te/ra/FIMand the teraphimוְאֶת־הַגִּלֻּלִיםve/ET-hag/gil/lu/LIMand the idolsוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַשִּׁקֻּצִיםkol-hash/shik/ku/TSIMall the detestable thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִרְאוּnir/Uwere seenבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemבִּעֵרbi/ERpurgedיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahלְמַעַןle/MA/anin order toהָקִיםha/KIMconfirmאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawהַכְּתֻבִיםhak/ke/tu/VIMthat were writtenעַל־הַסֵּפֶרal-has/SE/ferin the bookאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatמָצָאma/TSAfoundחִלְקִיָּהוּChil/kiy/YA/huHilkiahהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestבֵּיתbetin the house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

25. 25

    וְכָמֹהוּve/kha/MO/huand like himלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingאֲשֶׁר־שָׁבa/SHER-shavwho turnedאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDבְּכׇל־לְבָבוֹbe/KHOL-le/va/VOwith all his heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשׁוֹu/ve/KHOL-naf/SHOand with all his soulוּבְכׇל־מְאֹדוֹu/ve/KHOL-me/o/DOand with all his mightכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allתּוֹרַתto/RATthe law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַחֲרָיוve/a/cha/RAYVand after himלֹא־קָםlo-kamdid not ariseכָּמֹהוּ׃ka/MO/hulike him

    And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

26. 26

    אַךְakhyetלֹא־שָׁבlo-shavdid not turnיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמֵחֲרוֹןme/cha/RONfrom the fierceness ofאַפּוֹap/POHis angerהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatאֲשֶׁר־חָרָהa/SHER-cha/RAthat burnedאַפּוֹap/POHis angerבִּיהוּדָהbI/hu/DAagainst Judahעַלalbecause ofכׇּל־הַכְּעָסִיםkol-hak/ke/a/SIMall the provocationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichהִכְעִיסוֹhikh/i/SOhad provoked Himמְנַשֶּׁה׃Me/nash/SHEManasseh

    Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.

27. 27

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDגַּםgamalsoאֶת־יְהוּדָהet-Ye/hu/DAJudahאָסִירa/SIRI will removeמֵעַלme/ALfromפָּנַיpa/NAYMy presenceכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֲסִרֹתִיha/si/RO/tiI have removedאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelוּמָאַסְתִּיu/ma/AS/tiand I will rejectאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁר־בָּחַרְתִּיa/SHER-ba/CHAR/tithat I have chosenאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםet-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְאֶת־הַבַּיִתve/ET-hab/BA/yitand the houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beשְׁמִיshe/MIMy nameשָׁם׃shamthere

    And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

28. 28

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe acts ofיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatעָשָׂהa/SAhe didהֲלֹא־הֵםha/LO-hemare they notכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin the book ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe events ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysלְמַלְכֵיle/mal/KHEof the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

29. 29

    בְּיָמָיוbe/ya/MAYVin his daysעָלָהa/LAwent upפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohנְכֹהNe/KHONechoמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimthe king of Egyptעַל־מֶלֶךְal-ME/lekhagainst the king ofאַשּׁוּרAsh/SHURAssyriaעַל־נְהַר־פְּרָתal-Ne/HAR-pe/RATto the river Euphratesוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himוַיְמִיתֵהוּvay/mi/TE/huand he killed himבִּמְגִדּוֹBim/gid/DOat Megiddoכִּרְאֹתוֹkir/o/TOwhen he sawאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    In his days Pharaoh-nechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.

30. 30

    וַיַּרְכִּבֻהוּvay/yar/ki/VU/huand carried himעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsמֵתmetdeadמִמְּגִדּוֹmim/Me/gid/DOfrom Megiddoוַיְבִאֻהוּvay/vi/U/huand they brought himיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalemוַיִּקְבְּרֻהוּvay/yik/be/RU/huand they buried himבִּקְבֻרָתוֹbik/vu/ra/TOin his tombוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookעַם־הָאָרֶץam-ha/A/retsthe people of the landאֶת־יְהוֹאָחָזet-Ye/ho/a/CHAZJehoahazבֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּben-Yo/shiy/YA/huthe son of Josiahוַיִּמְשְׁחוּvay/yim/she/CHUand anointedאֹתוֹo/TOhimוַיַּמְלִיכוּvay/yam/LI/khuand they made kingאֹתוֹo/TOhimתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofאָבִיו׃a/VIVhis father

    And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.

31. 31

    בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִיםben-es/RIMa son of twentyוְשָׁלֹשׁve/sha/LOSHand threeשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsיְהוֹאָחָזYe/ho/a/CHAZJehoahazבְּמׇלְכוֹbe/mol/KHOwhen he began to reignוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeחֳדָשִׁיםcho/da/SHIMmonthsמָלַךְma/LAKHhe reignedבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherחֲמוּטַלCha/mu/TALHamutalבַּת־יִרְמְיָהוּbat-Yir/me/YA/huthe daughter of Jeremiahמִלִּבְנָה׃mil/Liv/NAof Libnah

    Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

32. 32

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁר־עָשׂוּa/SHER-a/SUthat had doneאֲבֹתָיו׃a/vo/TAYVhis fathers

    And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.

33. 33

    וַיַּאַסְרֵהוּvay/ya/as/RE/huand bound himפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohנְכֹהNe/KHONechoבְרִבְלָהve/Riv/LAat Riblahבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofחֲמָתCha/MATHamath(במלך)vamalakh[מִמְּלֹךְ]mim/me/LOKHfrom reigningבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוַיִּתֶּן־עֹנֶשׁvay/YIT/ten-O/neshand imposed a fineעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the landמֵאָהme/Aa hundredכִכַּר־כֶּסֶףkhik/KAR-KE/seftalents of silverוְכִכַּרve/khik/KARand a talent ofזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

    And Pharaoh-nechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

34. 34

    וַיַּמְלֵךְvay/yam/LEKHand made kingפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohנְכֹהNe/KHONechoאֶת־אֶלְיָקִיםet-El/ya/KIMEliakimבֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּben-Yo/shiy/YA/huthe son of JosiahתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיַּסֵּבvay/yas/SEVand changedאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameיְהוֹיָקִיםYe/ho/ya/KIMJehoiakimוְאֶת־יְהוֹאָחָזve/ET-ye/ho/a/CHAZand Jehoahazלָקַחla/KACHhe tookוַיּבֹאvayy/VOand he came toמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedשָׁם׃shamthere

    And Pharaoh-nechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there.

35. 35

    וְהַכֶּסֶףve/hak/KE/sefand the silverוְהַזָּהָבve/haz/za/HAVand the goldנָתַןna/TANgaveיְהוֹיָקִיםYe/ho/ya/KIMJehoiakimלְפַרְעֹהle/Far/Oto Pharaohאַךְakhbutהֶעֱרִיךְhe/e/RIKHhe assessedאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landלָתֵתla/TETto giveאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverעַל־פִּיal-piat the command ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohאִישׁisheachכְּעֶרְכּוֹke/er/KOaccording to his assessmentנָגַשׂna/GAShe exactedאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverוְאֶת־הַזָּהָבve/ET-haz/za/HAVand the goldאֶת־עַםet-amfrom the people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלָתֵתla/TETto giveלְפַרְעֹהle/Far/Oto Pharaohנְכֹה׃Ne/KHONecho

    And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaoh-nechoh.

36. 36

    בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִיםben-es/RIMa son of twentyוְחָמֵשׁve/cha/MESHand fiveשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsיְהוֹיָקִיםYe/ho/ya/KIMJehoiakimבְּמׇלְכוֹbe/mol/KHOwhen he began to reignוְאַחַת־עֶשְׂרֵהve/a/CHAT-es/REand elevenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsמָלַךְma/LAKHhe reignedבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis mother[זְבוּדָּה]Ze/vud/DAZebudahבַת־פְּדָיָהvat-Pe/da/YAthe daughter of Pedaiahמִן־רוּמָה׃min-RU/maof Rumah

    Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.

37. 37

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁר־עָשׂוּa/SHER-a/SUthat had doneאֲבֹתָיו׃a/vo/TAYVhis fathers

    And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
