   Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzi-bah.

   וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכְּתוֹעֲבֹתke/to/a/VOTaccording to the abominations ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהוֹרִישׁho/RISHhad dispossessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEfrom beforeבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

   וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovfor againוַיִּבֶןvay/YI/venhe builtאֶת־הַבָּמוֹתet-hab/ba/MOTthe high placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאִבַּדib/BADhad destroyedחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand he raised upמִזְבְּחֹתmiz/be/CHOTaltarsלַבַּעַלlab/BA/alfor the Baalוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeאֲשֵׁרָהA/she/RAan Asherahכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשָׂהa/SAhad doneאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand he bowed downלְכׇל־צְבָאle/KHOL-tse/VAto all the host ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוַיַּעֲבֹדvay/ya/a/VODand servedאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

   For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

   וּבָנָהu/va/NAand he builtמִזְבְּחֹתmiz/be/CHOTaltarsבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאָמַרa/MARhad saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemאָשִׂיםa/SIMshall I putאֶת־שְׁמִי׃et-she/MIMy name

   And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

   וַיִּבֶןvay/YI/venand he builtמִזְבְּחוֹתmiz/be/CHOTaltarsלְכׇל־צְבָאle/KHOL-tse/VAfor all the host ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensבִּשְׁתֵּיbish/TEin the twoחַצְרוֹתchats/ROTcourts ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָה׃bet-Adonaithe house of the LORD

   And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

   וְהֶעֱבִירve/he/e/VIRand he made passאֶת־בְּנוֹet-be/NOhis sonבָּאֵשׁba/ESHthrough the fireוְעוֹנֵןve/o/NENand practiced soothsayingוְנִחֵשׁve/ni/CHESHand sought omensוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand appointedאוֹבova mediumוְיִדְּעֹנִיםve/yid/de/o/NIMand spiritistsהִרְבָּהhir/BAhe multipliedלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְהַכְעִיס׃le/hakh/ISto provoke Him

   And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

   וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setאֶת־פֶּסֶלet-PE/selthe carved image ofהָאֲשֵׁרָהha/A/she/RAthe Asherahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAhe had madeבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאָמַרa/MARhad saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־דָּוִדel-Da/VIDto Davidוְאֶל־שְׁלֹמֹהve/EL-she/lo/MOand to Solomonבְנוֹve/NOhis sonבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּבִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּחַרְתִּיba/CHAR/tiI have chosenמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאָשִׂיםa/SIMshall I putאֶת־שְׁמִיet-she/MIMy nameלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

   And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

8. 8

   וְלֹאve/LOand notאֹסִיףo/SIFwill I againלְהָנִידle/ha/NIDmake wanderרֶגֶלRE/gelthe foot ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAfrom the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלַאֲבוֹתָםla/a/vo/TAMto their fathersרַקrakonlyאִם־יִשְׁמְרוּim-yish/me/RUif they will be carefulלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוִּיתִיםtsiv/vi/TIMI have commanded themוּלְכׇל־הַתּוֹרָהu/le/KHOL-hat/to/RAand according to all the lawאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהa/SHER-tsiv/VAthat commandedאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַבְדִּיav/DIMy servantמֹשֶׁה׃Mo/SHEMoses

   Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

   וְלֹאve/LObut notשָׁמֵעוּsha/ME/udid they listenוַיַּתְעֵםvay/yat/EMand misled themמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאֶת־הָרָעet-ha/RAevilמִן־הַגּוֹיִםmin-hag/go/YIMmore than the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהִשְׁמִידhish/MIDdestroyedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEfrom beforeבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

10. 10

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּיַד־עֲבָדָיוbe/YAD-a/va/DAYVby the hand of His servantsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,

11. 11

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAhas doneמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAthe king of Judahהַתֹּעֵבוֹתhat/to/e/VOTabominationsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהֵרַעhe/RAhas done evilמִכֹּלmik/KOLmore than allאֲשֶׁר־עָשׂוּa/SHER-a/SUthat didהָאֱמֹרִיha/E/mo/RIthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוַיַּחֲטִאvay/ya/cha/TIand has made to sinגַם־אֶת־יְהוּדָהgam-et-Ye/hu/DAalso Judahבְּגִלּוּלָיו׃be/gil/lu/LAYVwith his idols

    Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:

12. 12

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold I amמֵבִיאme/VIbringingרָעָהra/Aevilעַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםal-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimon JerusalemוִיהוּדָהVi/hu/DAand Judahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכׇּל־[שֹׁמְעָהּ]kol-shom/Awhoever hears it(שמעיו)shamyavתִּצַּלְנָהtits/TSAL/nashall tingleשְׁתֵּיshtebothאׇזְנָיו׃oz/NAYVhis ears

    Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

13. 13

    וְנָטִיתִיve/na/TI/tiand I will stretchעַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםal-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimover Jerusalemאֵת־קָוet-kavthe line ofשֹׁמְרוֹןShom/RONSamariaוְאֶת־מִשְׁקֹלֶתve/ET-mish/KO/letand the plumb line ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofאַחְאָבAch/AVAhabוּמָחִיתִיu/ma/CHI/tiand I will wipeאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםet-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemכַּאֲשֶׁר־יִמְחֶהka/a/SHER-yim/CHEas one wipesאֶת־הַצַּלַּחַתet-hats/tsal/LA/chatthe dishמָחָהma/CHAwipingוְהָפַךְve/ha/FAKHand turning itעַל־פָּנֶיהָ׃al-pa/NE/haupon its face

    And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.

14. 14

    וְנָטַשְׁתִּיve/na/tash/TIand I will abandonאֵת־שְׁאֵרִיתet-she/e/RITthe remnant ofנַחֲלָתִיna/cha/la/TIMy inheritanceוּנְתַתִּיםu/ne/tat/TIMand I will give themבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall becomeלְבַזle/VAZplunderוְלִמְשִׁסָּהve/lim/shis/SAand spoilלְכׇל־אֹיְבֵיהֶם׃le/KHOL-oy/ve/HEMto all their enemies

    And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;

15. 15

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּa/SUthey have doneאֶת־הָרַעet-ha/RAevilבְּעֵינַיbe/e/NAYin My eyesוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand have beenמַכְעִסִיםmakh/i/SIMprovoking to angerאֹתִיo/TIMeמִן־הַיּוֹםmin-hay/YOMfrom the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָצְאוּya/tse/Ucame outאֲבוֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersמִמִּצְרַיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptוְעַדve/ADand toהַיּוֹםhay/YOMdayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

16. 16

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoדָּםdambloodנָקִיna/KIinnocentשָׁפַךְsha/FAKHshedמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehהַרְבֵּהhar/BEveryמְאֹדme/ODmuchעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־מִלֵּאa/SHER-mil/LEhe had filledאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםet-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemפֶּהpemouthלָפֶהla/FEto mouthלְבַדle/VADbesidesמֵחַטָּאתוֹme/chat/ta/TOfrom his sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichהֶחֱטִיאhe/che/TIhe made to sinאֶת־יְהוּדָהet-Ye/hu/DAJudahלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

17. 17

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe acts ofמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatעָשָׂהa/SAhe didוְחַטָּאתוֹve/chat/ta/TOand his sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatחָטָאcha/TAhe sinnedהֲלֹא־הֵםha/LO-hemare they notכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin the book ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe events ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysלְמַלְכֵיle/mal/KHEof the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18. 18

    וַיִּשְׁכַּבvay/yish/KAVand sleptמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehעִם־אֲבֹתָיוim-a/vo/TAYVwith his fathersוַיִּקָּבֵרvay/yik/ka/VERand was buriedבְּגַן־בֵּיתוֹbe/GAN-be/TOin the garden of his houseבְּגַן־עֻזָּאbe/GAN-uz/ZAin the garden of Uzzaוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedאָמוֹןA/MONAmonבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.

19. 19

    בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִיםben-es/RIMa son of twentyוּשְׁתַּיִםush/TA/yimand twoשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsאָמוֹןA/MONAmonבְּמׇלְכוֹbe/mol/KHOwhen he began to reignוּשְׁתַּיִםush/TA/yimand twoשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsמָלַךְma/LAKHhe reignedבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherמְשֻׁלֶּמֶתMe/shul/LE/metMeshullemethבַּת־חָרוּץbat-Cha/RUTSthe daughter of Haruzמִן־יׇטְבָה׃min-Yot/VAof Jotbah

    Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

20. 20

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשָׂהa/SAhe didמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehאָבִיו׃a/VIVhis father

    And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.

21. 21

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand he walkedבְּכׇל־הַדֶּרֶךְbe/KHOL-had/DE/rekhin all the wayאֲשֶׁר־הָלַךְa/SHER-ha/LAKHin which walkedאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיַּעֲבֹדvay/ya/a/VODand servedאֶת־הַגִּלֻּלִיםet-hag/gil/lu/LIMthe idolsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָבַדa/VADservedאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand bowed downלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:

22. 22

    וַיַּעֲזֹבvay/ya/a/ZOVand he forsookאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבֹתָיוa/vo/TAYVhis fathersוְלֹאve/LOand notהָלַךְha/LAKHdid he walkבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin the way ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.

23. 23

    וַיִּקְשְׁרוּvay/yik/she/RUand they conspiredעַבְדֵי־אָמוֹןav/DE-A/MONthe servants of Amonעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himוַיָּמִיתוּvay/ya/MI/tuand killedאֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְet-ham/ME/lekhthe kingבְּבֵיתוֹ׃be/ve/TOin his house

    And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.

24. 24

    וַיַּךְvay/YAKHbut struckעַם־הָאָרֶץam-ha/A/retsthe people of the landאֵת־כׇּל־הַקֹּשְׁרִיםet-kol-hak/kosh/RIMall who had conspiredעַל־הַמֶּלֶךְal-ham/ME/lekhagainst kingאָמוֹןA/MONAmonוַיַּמְלִיכוּvay/yam/LI/khuand they made kingעַם־הָאָרֶץam-ha/A/retsthe people of the landאֶת־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּet-Yo/shiy/YA/huJosiahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.

25. 25

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe acts ofאָמוֹןA/MONAmonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAhe didהֲלֹא־הֵםha/LO-hemare they notכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin the book ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe events ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysלְמַלְכֵיle/mal/KHEof the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    וַיִּקְבֹּרvay/yik/BORand one buriedאֹתוֹo/TOhimבִּקְבֻרָתוֹbik/vu/ra/TOin his tombבְּגַן־עֻזָּאbe/GAN-uz/ZAin the garden of Uzzaוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedיֹאשִׁיָּהוּYo/shiy/YA/huJosiahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
