   In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

   וַיַּסֵּבvay/yas/SEVand he turnedאֶת־פָּנָיוet-pa/NAYVhis faceאֶל־הַקִּירel-hak/KIRtoward the wallוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELand prayedאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

   אָנָּהan/NAI beseech YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDזְכׇר־נָאze/KHOR-naremember nowאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERhowהִתְהַלַּכְתִּיhit/hal/LAKH/tiI have walkedלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore Youבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin truthוּבְלֵבָבu/ve/le/VAVand with a heartשָׁלֵםsha/LEMwholeוְהַטּוֹבve/hat/TOVand what is goodבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain Your eyesעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI have doneוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand weptחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahבְּכִיbe/KHIa weepingגָדוֹל׃ga/DOLgreat

   I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahלֹאlonotיָצָאya/TSAhad gone out(העיר)hyar[חָצֵר]cha/TSERthe courtהַתִּיכֹנָהhat/ti/kho/NAmiddleוּדְבַר־יְהֹוָהu/de/VAR-Adonaiand the word of the LORDהָיָהha/YAcameאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

   שׁוּבshuvturn backוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֶל־חִזְקִיָּהוּel-Chiz/kiy/YA/huto Hezekiahנְגִיד־עַמִּיne/GID-am/MIthe prince of My peopleכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardאֶת־תְּפִלָּתֶךָet-te/fil/la/TE/khayour prayerרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI have seenאֶת־דִּמְעָתֶךָet-dim/a/TE/khayour tearsהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold IרֹפֶאRO/fewill healלָךְlakhyouבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdתַּעֲלֶהta/a/LEyou shall go upבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

   וְהֹסַפְתִּיve/ho/saf/TIand I will addעַל־יָמֶיךָal-ya/ME/khato your daysחֲמֵשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵהcha/MESH-es/REfifteenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּמִכַּףu/mik/KAFand out of the hand ofמֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּרME/lekh-Ash/SHURthe king of Assyriaאַצִּילְךָats/tsi/le/KHAI will deliver youוְאֵתve/ETandהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְגַנּוֹתִיve/gan/no/TIand I will defendעַל־הָעִירal-ha/IRover the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמַעֲנִיle/ma/a/NIfor My own sakeוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand for the sake ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidעַבְדִּי׃av/DIMy servant

   And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahקְחוּke/CHUtakeדְּבֶלֶתde/VE/leta cake ofתְּאֵנִיםte/e/NIMfigsוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookוַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand laid itעַל־הַשְּׁחִיןal-hash/she/CHINon the boilוַיֶּחִי׃vay/YE/chiand he recovered

   And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahאֶל־יְשַׁעְיָהוּel-Ye/sha/YA/huto Isaiahמָהmawhatאוֹתotis the signכִּי־יִרְפָּאki-yir/PAthat will healיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִיlimeוְעָלִיתִיve/a/LI/tiand I shall go upבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdבֵּיתbetto the house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

9. 9

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahזֶה־לְּךָze-le/KHAthis is to youהָאוֹתha/OTthe signמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּיkithatיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill doיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבֵּרdib/BERHe has spokenהָלַךְha/LAKHshall go forwardהַצֵּלhats/TSELthe shadowעֶשֶׂרE/sertenמַעֲלוֹתma/a/LOTstepsאִם־יָשׁוּבim-ya/SHUVor shall it go backעֶשֶׂרE/sertenמַעֲלוֹת׃ma/a/LOTsteps

   And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahנָקֵלna/KELit is a light thingלַצֵּלlats/TSELfor the shadowלִנְטוֹתlin/TOTto extendעֶשֶׂרE/sertenמַעֲלוֹתma/a/LOTstepsלֹאlonoכִיkhibutיָשׁוּבya/SHUVlet returnהַצֵּלhats/TSELthe shadowאֲחֹרַנִּיתa/cho/ran/NITbackwardעֶשֶׂרE/sertenמַעֲלוֹת׃ma/a/LOTsteps

    And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

11. 11

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand criedיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDוַיָּשֶׁבvay/YA/shevand He brought backאֶת־הַצֵּלet-hats/TSELthe shadowבַּמַּעֲלוֹתbam/ma/a/LOTby the stepsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָרְדָהYAR/dait had gone downבְּמַעֲלוֹתbe/ma/a/LOTon the steps ofאָחָזA/CHAZAhazאֲחֹרַנִּיתa/cho/ran/NITbackwardעֶשֶׂרE/sertenמַעֲלוֹת׃ma/a/LOTsteps

    And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

    בָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִיאha/HIthatשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentבְּרֹאדַךְBe/ro/DAKHBerodach-בַּלְאֲדָןbal/a/DANbaladanבֶּן־בַּלְאֲדָןben-Bal/a/DANthe son of Baladanמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylonסְפָרִיםse/fa/RIMlettersוּמִנְחָהu/min/CHAand a presentאֶל־חִזְקִיָּהוּel-Chiz/kiy/YA/huto Hezekiahכִּיkiforשָׁמַעsha/MAhe had heardכִּיkithatחָלָהcha/LAhad been sickחִזְקִיָּהוּ׃Chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiah

    At that time Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand listenedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahוַיַּרְאֵםvay/yar/EMand he showed themאֶת־כׇּל־בֵּיתet-kol-betall the house ofנְכֹתֹהne/kho/TOhis treasureאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverוְאֶת־הַזָּהָבve/ET-haz/za/HAVand the goldוְאֶת־הַבְּשָׂמִיםve/ET-hab/be/sa/MIMand the spicesוְאֵתve/ETandשֶׁמֶןSHE/menthe oilהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodוְאֵתve/ETandבֵּיתbetthe house ofכֵּלָיוke/LAYVhis weaponsוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall thatנִמְצָאnim/TSAwas foundבְּאוֹצְרֹתָיוbe/ots/ro/TAYVin his storehousesלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notדָבָרda/VARa thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־הֶרְאָםlo-her/AMdid not show themחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahבְּבֵיתוֹbe/ve/TOin his houseוּבְכׇל־מֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ׃u/ve/KHOL-mem/shal/TOor in all his dominion

    And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto kingחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himמָהmawhatאָמְרוּa/me/RUdid sayהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוּמֵאַיִןu/me/A/yinand from whereיָבֹאוּya/VO/udid they comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom a landרְחוֹקָהre/cho/KAfarבָּאוּBA/uthey have comeמִבָּבֶל׃mib/Ba/VELfrom Babylon

    Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidמָהmawhatרָאוּra/Uhave they seenבְּבֵיתֶךָbe/ve/TE/khain your houseוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatבְּבֵיתִיbe/ve/TIis in my houseרָאוּra/Uthey have seenלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notדָבָרda/VARa thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־הִרְאִיתִםlo-hir/i/TIMI did not show themבְּאֹצְרֹתָי׃be/ots/ro/TAYamong my treasures

    And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

16. 16

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huIsaiahאֶל־חִזְקִיָּהוּel-Chiz/kiy/YA/huto Hezekiahשְׁמַעshe/MAhearדְּבַר־יְהֹוָה׃de/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORD

    And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.

17. 17

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingוְנִשָּׂאve/nis/SAwhen shall be carriedכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall thatבְּבֵיתֶךָbe/ve/TE/khais in your houseוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whatאָצְרוּa/tse/RUhave stored upאֲבֹתֶיךָa/vo/TE/khayour fathersעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבָּבֶלָהba/VE/lainto Babylonלֹא־יִוָּתֵרlo-yiv/va/TERshall not be leftדָּבָרda/VARa thingאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

18. 18

    וּמִבָּנֶיךָu/mib/ba/NE/khaand of your sonsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֵצְאוּyets/Ushall come outמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfrom youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomתּוֹלִידto/LIDyou shall beget(יקח)yakach[יִקָּחוּ]yik/KA/chuthey shall takeוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beסָרִיסִיםsa/ri/SIMeunuchsבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALin the palace ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶל׃Ba/VELBabylon

    And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

19. 19

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahאֶל־יְשַׁעְיָהוּel-Ye/sha/YA/huto Isaiahטוֹבtovgood isדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou have spokenוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidהֲלוֹאha/LOis it not soאִם־שָׁלוֹםim-sha/LOMif peaceוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבְיָמָי׃ve/ya/MAYin my days

    Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

20. 20

    וְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe acts ofחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahוְכׇל־גְּבוּרָתוֹve/KHOL-ge/vu/ra/TOand all his mightוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand howעָשָׂהa/SAhe madeאֶת־הַבְּרֵכָהet-hab/be/re/KHAthe poolוְאֶת־הַתְּעָלָהve/ET-hat/te/a/LAand the conduitוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand he broughtאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe waterהָעִירָהha/I/rainto the cityהֲלֹא־הֵםha/LO-hemare they notכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin the book ofדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe events ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysלְמַלְכֵיle/mal/KHEof the kings ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

21. 21

    וַיִּשְׁכַּבvay/yish/KAVand sleptחִזְקִיָּהוּChiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahעִם־אֲבֹתָיוim-a/vo/TAYVwith his fathersוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehבְנוֹve/NOhis sonתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

    And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
