   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִקֵּץmik/KETSat the end ofעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָהba/NAbuiltשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ׃ve/ET-be/TOand his house

   And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

   וְהֶעָרִיםve/he/a/RIMand the citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַןna/TANhad givenחוּרָםChu/RAMHuramלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonבָּנָהba/NAbuiltשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֹתָםo/TAMthemוַיּוֹשֶׁבvay/YO/shevand he settledשָׁםshamthereאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

3. 3

   וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonחֲמָתCha/MATHamath-צוֹבָהtso/VAzobahוַיֶּחֱזַקvay/ye/che/ZAKand prevailedעָלֶיהָ׃a/LE/haagainst it

   And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.

   וַיִּבֶןvay/YI/venand he builtאֶת־תַּדְמֹרet-Tad/MORTadmorבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־עָרֵיkol-a/REall the cities ofהַמִּסְכְּנוֹתham/mis/ke/NOTstoreאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָהba/NAhe builtבַּחֲמָת׃ba/Cha/MATin Hamath

   And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.

   וַיִּבֶןvay/YI/venand he builtאֶת־בֵּיתet-BetBeth-חוֹרוֹןcho/RONhoronהָעֶלְיוֹןha/el/YONthe upperוְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand Beth-חוֹרוֹןcho/RONhoronהַתַּחְתּוֹןhat/tach/TONthe lowerעָרֵיa/REcities ofמָצוֹרma/TSORfortificationחוֹמוֹתcho/MOTwith wallsדְּלָתַיִםde/la/TA/yimdoorsוּבְרִיחַ׃u/ve/RI/achand bars

   Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

   And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

   כׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleהַנּוֹתָרhan/no/TARthat was leftמִן־הַחִתִּיmin-Ha/chit/TIof the Hittitesוְהָאֱמֹרִיve/Ha/e/mo/RIand the Amoritesוְהַפְּרִזִּיve/hap/Pe/riz/ZIand the Perizzitesוְהַחִוִּיve/ha/Chiv/VIand the HivitesוְהַיְבוּסִיVe/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusitesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotמִיִּשְׂרָאֵלmiy/Yis/ra/ELof Israelהֵמָּה׃HEM/mawere

   As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

   מִן־בְּנֵיהֶםmin-be/ne/HEMof their childrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנוֹתְרוּnot/RUwere leftאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלֹא־כִלּוּםlo-khil/LUMhad not consumedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיַּעֲלֵםvay/ya/a/LEMand levied themשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלְמַסle/MASas forced laborעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

   וּמִן־בְּנֵיu/MIN-be/NEbut of the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־נָתַןlo-na/TANdid not makeשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלַעֲבָדִיםla/a/va/DIMservantsלִמְלַאכְתּוֹlim/lakh/TOfor his workכִּי־הֵמָּהki-HEM/mafor they wereאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAwarוְשָׂרֵיve/sa/REand the commanders ofשָׁלִישָׁיוsha/li/SHAYVhis officersוְשָׂרֵיve/sa/REand the commanders ofרִכְבּוֹrikh/BOhis chariotsוּפָרָשָׁיו׃u/fa/ra/SHAYVand his horsemen

   But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand these wereשָׂרֵיsa/REthe chiefs of[הַנִּצָּבִים]han/nits/tsa/VIMthe officersאֲשֶׁר־לַמֶּלֶךְa/SHER-Lam/ME/lekhwho belonged to KingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyוּמָאתָיִםu/ma/TA/yimand two hundredהָרֹדִיםha/ro/DIMwho ruledבָּעָם׃ba/AMover the people

    And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

11. 11

    וְאֶת־בַּת־פַּרְעֹהve/ET-bat-par/Oand the daughter of Pharaohהֶעֱלָהhe/e/LAbrought upשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמֵעִירme/IRout of the city ofדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidלַבַּיִתlab/BA/yitto the houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָה־לָהּba/NA-lahe had built for herכִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARhe saidלֹא־תֵשֵׁבlo-te/SHEVshall not dwellאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanלִיliof mineבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidמֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵלME/lekh-Yis/ra/ELthe king of Israelכִּי־קֹדֶשׁki-KO/deshfor holyהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areאֲשֶׁר־בָּאָה־אֲלֵיהֶםa/SHER-ba/A-a/le/HEMto which has comeאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.

12. 12

    אָזazthenהֶעֱלָהhe/e/LAofferedשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDעַלalonמִזְבַּחmiz/BACHthe altar ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָהba/NAhe had builtלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאוּלָם׃ha/u/LAMthe porch

    Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

13. 13

    וּבִדְבַר־יוֹםu/vid/VAR-yomand as each day's matterבְּיוֹםbe/YOMby dayלְהַעֲלוֹתle/ha/a/LOTofferingכְּמִצְוַתke/mits/VATaccording to the commandment ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלַשַּׁבָּתוֹתlash/shab/ba/TOTfor the sabbathsוְלֶחֳדָשִׁיםve/le/cho/da/SHIMand for the new moonsוְלַמּוֹעֲדוֹתve/lam/mo/a/DOTand for the appointed feastsשָׁלוֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearבְּחַגbe/CHAGat the feast ofהַמַּצּוֹתham/mats/TSOTunleavened breadוּבְחַגu/ve/CHAGand at the feast ofהַשָּׁבֻעוֹתhash/sha/vu/OTweeksוּבְחַגu/ve/CHAGand at the feast ofהַסֻּכּוֹת׃has/suk/KOTbooths

    Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

14. 14

    וַיַּעֲמֵדvay/ya/a/MEDand he appointedכְּמִשְׁפַּטke/mish/PATaccording to the ordinance ofדָּוִיד־אָבִיוDa/VID-a/VIVDavid his fatherאֶת־מַחְלְקוֹתet-mach/le/KOTthe divisions ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsעַל־עֲבֹדָתָםal-a/vo/da/TAMto their serviceוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesעַל־מִשְׁמְרוֹתָםal-mish/me/ro/TAMto their postsלְהַלֵּלle/hal/LELto praiseוּלְשָׁרֵתu/le/sha/RETand to ministerנֶגֶדNE/gedbeforeהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsלִדְבַר־יוֹםlid/VAR-yomas each day's matterבְּיוֹמוֹbe/yo/MOin its dayוְהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםve/hash/sho/a/RIMand the gatekeepersבְּמַחְלְקוֹתָםbe/mach/le/ko/TAMby their divisionsלְשַׁעַרle/SHA/arfor gateוָשָׁעַרva/SHA/arand gateכִּיkiforכֵןkhenthusמִצְוַתmits/VATthe commandment ofדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidאִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִים׃ish-ha/e/lo/HIMthe man of God

    And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

15. 15

    וְלֹאve/LOand notסָרוּSA/rudid they depart fromמִצְוַתmits/VATthe commandment ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingעַל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםal-hak/ko/ha/NIMconcerning the priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesלְכׇל־דָּבָרle/KHOL-da/VARin any matterוְלָאֹצָרוֹת׃ve/la/o/tsa/ROTor concerning the treasuries

    And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

16. 16

    וַתִּכֹּןvat/tik/KONand was preparedכׇּל־מְלֶאכֶתkol-me/LE/khetall the work ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil the day ofמוּסַדmu/SADthe foundation ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDוְעַד־כְּלֹתוֹve/AD-ke/lo/TOand until it was finishedשָׁלֵםsha/LEMcompleteבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.

17. 17

    אָזazthenהָלַךְha/LAKHwentשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלְעֶצְיוֹן־גֶּבֶרle/Ets/YON-GE/verto Ezion-geberוְאֶל־אֵילוֹתve/EL-e/LOTand to Elothעַל־שְׂפַתal-se/FATon the shore ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofאֱדוֹם׃E/DOMEdom

    Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

18. 18

    וַיִּשְׁלַח־לוֹvay/yish/LACH-loand sent to himחוּרָםChu/RAMHuramבְּיַד־עֲבָדָיוbe/YAD-a/va/DAYVby the hand of his servants[אֳנִיּוֹת]o/niy/YOTshipsוַעֲבָדִיםva/a/va/DIMand servantsיוֹדְעֵיyod/Ewho knewיָםyamthe seaוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameעִם־עַבְדֵיim-av/DEwith the servants ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאוֹפִירָהO/FI/rato Ophirוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאַרְבַּע־מֵאוֹתar/BA-me/OTfour hundredוַחֲמִשִּׁיםva/cha/mish/SHIMand fiftyכִּכַּרkik/KARtalents ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uand broughtאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingשְׁלֹמֹה׃She/lo/MOSolomon

    And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
