2 Chronicles 4 דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים ב פרק ד׳

1. 1

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeמִזְבַּחthe altar ofנְחֹשֶׁתbrassעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyאַמָּהcubitsאׇרְכּוֹits lengthוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאַמָּהcubitsרׇחְבּוֹits breadthוְעֶשֶׂרand tenאַמּוֹתcubitsקוֹמָתוֹ׃his stature

   Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

2. 2

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeאֶת־הַיָּםthe seaמוּצָקin anguishעֶשֶׂרtenבָּאַמָּהby the cubitמִשְּׂפָתוֹfrom its lipאֶל־שְׂפָתוֹto its edgeעָגוֹלroundסָבִיבall aroundוְחָמֵשׁand fiveבָּאַמָּהby the cubitקוֹמָתוֹhis statureוְקָוand a measuring lineשְׁלֹשִׁיםthirtyבָּאַמָּהby the cubitיָסֹבit went roundאֹתוֹhimסָבִיב׃all around

   Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

   וּדְמוּתand the likeness ofבְּקָרִיםoxenתַּחַתunderלוֹto himסָבִיבall aroundסָבִיבall aroundסוֹבְבִיםgoing roundאֹתוֹhimעֶשֶׂרtenבָּאַמָּהby the cubitמַקִּיפִיםsurroundingאֶת־הַיָּםthe seaסָבִיבall aroundשְׁנַיִםtwoטוּרִיםrowsהַבָּקָרthe herdיְצוּקִיםcastבְּמֻצַקְתּוֹ׃in its casting

   And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

   עוֹמֵדstandingעַל־שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרupon twelveבָּקָרof the herdשְׁלֹשָׁהthreeפֹנִיםwere turningצָפוֹנָהnorthwardוּשְׁלוֹשָׁהand threeפֹנִיםwere turningיָמָּהwestwardוּשְׁלֹשָׁהand threeפֹּנִיםwere turningנֶגְבָּהsouthwardוּשְׁלֹשָׁהand threeפֹּנִיםwere turningמִזְרָחָהeastwardוְהַיָּםand the seaעֲלֵיהֶםupon themמִלְמָעְלָהfrom aboveוְכׇל־אֲחֹרֵיהֶםand all their hindquartersבָּיְתָה׃to the inside

   It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

   וְעׇבְיוֹand his dark cloudsטֶפַחwas a hand breadthוּשְׂפָתוֹand its lipכְּמַעֲשֵׂהas the work ofשְׂפַת־כּוֹסthe brim of a cupפֶּרַחthe blossom ofשׁוֹשַׁנָּהa lilyמַחֲזִיקto take hold ofבַּתִּיםthe bathsשְׁלֹשֶׁתthreeאֲלָפִיםthousandיָכִיל׃he can contain

   And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeכִּיּוֹרִיםlaversעֲשָׂרָהtenוַיִּתֵּןand gaveחֲמִשָּׁהfiveמִיָּמִיןfrom right handוַחֲמִשָּׁהand fiveמִשְּׂמֹאולfrom the leftלְרׇחְצָהfor washingבָהֶםamong themאֶת־מַעֲשֵׂהwork ofהָעוֹלָהthe burnt offeringיָדִיחוּthey washedבָםin themוְהַיָּםand the seaלְרׇחְצָהfor washingלַכֹּהֲנִיםunto the priestsבּוֹ׃in it

   He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeאֶת־מְנֹרוֹתthe lampstands ofהַזָּהָבthe goldעֶשֶׂרtenכְּמִשְׁפָּטָםaccording to their ordinanceוַיִּתֵּןand gaveבַּהֵיכׇלin the templeחָמֵשׁfiveמִיָּמִיןfrom right handוְחָמֵשׁand fiveמִשְּׂמֹאול׃from the left

   And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

8. 8

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeשֻׁלְחָנוֹתtablesעֲשָׂרָהtenוַיַּנַּחand he depositedבַּהֵיכׇלin the templeחֲמִשָּׁהfiveמִיָּמִיןfrom right handוַחֲמִשָּׁהand fiveמִשְּׂמֹאולfrom the leftוַיַּעַשׂand he madeמִזְרְקֵיbowls ofזָהָבgoldמֵאָה׃a hundred

   He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an hundred basons of gold.

9. 9

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeחֲצַרthe courtyard ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםthe priestsוְהָעֲזָרָהand the precinctהַגְּדוֹלָהthe greatוּדְלָתוֹתand doorsלָעֲזָרָהfor the precinctוְדַלְתוֹתֵיהֶםand their doorsצִפָּהhe overlaidנְחֹשֶׁת׃brass

   Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

10. 10

    וְאֶת־הַיָּםand the seaנָתַןgaveמִכֶּתֶףfrom the side ofהַיְמָנִיתthe rightקֵדְמָהon the eastמִמּוּלfrom in front ofנֶגְבָּה׃southward

    And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

11. 11

    וַיַּעַשׂand he madeחוּרָםHuramאֶת־הַסִּירוֹתthe potsוְאֶת־הַיָּעִיםand the shovelsוְאֶת־הַמִּזְרָקוֹתand the bowlsוַיְכַלand had made an end of(חירם)[חוּרָם]Huramלַעֲשׂוֹתto doאֶת־הַמְּלָאכָהthe taskאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשָׂהdidלַמֶּלֶךְfor kingשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonבְּבֵיתin the house ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃God

    And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

12. 12

    עַמּוּדִיםpillarsשְׁנַיִםtwoוְהַגֻּלּוֹתand the bowlsוְהַכֹּתָרוֹתand the capitalsעַל־רֹאשׁupon the head ofהָעַמּוּדִיםthe pillarsשְׁתָּיִםtwoוְהַשְּׂבָכוֹתand the networksשְׁתַּיִםtwoלְכַסּוֹתto coverאֶת־שְׁתֵּיtwoגֻּלּוֹתthe bowls ofהַכֹּתָרוֹתthe capitalsאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־רֹאשׁupon the head ofהָעַמּוּדִים׃the pillars

    To wit, the two pillars, and the pommels, and the chapiters which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were on the top of the pillars;

    וְאֶת־הָרִמּוֹנִיםand the pomegranatesאַרְבַּעfourמֵאוֹתhundredלִשְׁתֵּיfor the twoהַשְּׂבָכוֹתthe networksשְׁנַיִםtwoטוּרִיםrowsרִמּוֹנִיםpomegranatesלַשְּׂבָכָהto the networkהָאֶחָתthe oneלְכַסּוֹתto coverאֶת־שְׁתֵּיtwoגֻּלּוֹתthe bowls ofהַכֹּתָרוֹתthe capitalsאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofהָעַמּוּדִים׃the pillars

    And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars.

14. 14

    וְאֶת־הַמְּכֹנוֹתand the standsעָשָׂהhe didוְאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרוֹתand the laversעָשָׂהhe didעַל־הַמְּכֹנוֹת׃upon the stands

    He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;

15. 15

    אֶת־הַיָּםthe seaאֶחָדoneוְאֶת־הַבָּקָרand the oxenשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרtwelveתַּחְתָּיו׃under it

    One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

16. 16

    וְאֶת־הַסִּירוֹתand the potsוְאֶת־הַיָּעִיםand the shovelsוְאֶת־הַמִּזְלָגוֹתand the forksוְאֶת־כׇּל־כְּלֵיהֶםand all their vesselsעָשָׂהhe didחוּרָםHuramאָבִיוhis fatherלַמֶּלֶךְfor kingשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonלְבֵיתto the house ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDנְחֹשֶׁתbrassמָרוּק׃polished

    The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of the LORD of bright brass.

17. 17

    בְּכִכַּרin the valley ofהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanיְצָקָםcast themהַמֶּלֶךְthe kingבַּעֲבִיin the thickness ofהָאֲדָמָהthe groundבֵּיןamongסֻכּוֹתSuccothוּבֵיןand betweenצְרֵדָתָה׃Zereda

    In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

18. 18

    וַיַּעַשׂand madeשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonכׇּל־הַכֵּלִיםall the vesselsהָאֵלֶּהtheseלָרֹבin abundanceמְאֹדexceedinglyכִּיforלֹאnotנֶחְקַרit was ascertainedמִשְׁקַלthe weight ofהַנְּחֹשֶׁת׃the brass

    Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

19. 19

    וַיַּעַשׂand madeשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonאֵת־כׇּל־הַכֵּלִיםall the vesselsאֲשֶׁרwhichבֵּיתthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodוְאֵתandמִזְבַּחthe altar ofהַזָּהָבthe goldוְאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָנוֹתand the tablesוַעֲלֵיהֶםand upon themלֶחֶםbreadהַפָּנִים׃the presence

    And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

20. 20

    וְאֶת־הַמְּנֹרוֹתand the lampstandsוְנֵרֹתֵיהֶםand their lampsלְבַעֲרָםto burn themכַּמִּשְׁפָּטaccording to the ordinanceלִפְנֵיbeforeהַדְּבִירthe innermost roomזָהָבgoldסָגוּר׃pure

    Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

21. 21

    וְהַפֶּרַחand the blossomוְהַנֵּרוֹתand the lampsוְהַמֶּלְקַחַיִםand the tongsזָהָבgoldהוּאheמִכְלוֹתperfectזָהָב׃gold

    And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

22. 22

    וְהַמְזַמְּרוֹתand the snuffersוְהַמִּזְרָקוֹתand the bowlsוְהַכַּפּוֹתand the pansוְהַמַּחְתּוֹתand the fire pansזָהָבgoldסָגוּרpureוּפֶתַחand the door ofהַבַּיִתthe houseדַּלְתוֹתָיוits doorsהַפְּנִימִיּוֹתthe innerלְקֹדֶשׁto the holy place ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsוְדַלְתֵיand the doors ofהַבַּיִתthe houseלַהֵיכׇלthe templeזָהָב׃gold

    And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
