   וַיָּחֶלand beganשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonלִבְנוֹתto buildאֶת־בֵּית־יְהֹוָהhouse of the LORDבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםin Jerusalemבְּהַרon the mount ofהַמּוֹרִיָּהthe Moriahאֲשֶׁרwhichנִרְאָהappearedלְדָוִידof Davidאָבִיהוּhis fatherאֲשֶׁרwhichהֵכִיןpreparedבִּמְקוֹםat the place ofדָּוִידDavidבְּגֹרֶןat the threshing floor ofאׇרְנָןOrnanהַיְבוּסִי׃the Jebusite

   Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

   וַיָּחֶלand beganלִבְנוֹתto buildבַּחֹדֶשׁin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיthe secondבַּשֵּׁנִיon the second dayבִּשְׁנַתin the year ofאַרְבַּעfourלְמַלְכוּתוֹ׃for his royalty

   And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

   וְאֵלֶּהand theseהוּסַדwas laid the foundationשְׁלֹמֹהSolomonלִבְנוֹתto buildאֶת־בֵּיתhouse ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodהָאֹרֶךְthe lengthאַמּוֹתcubitsבַּמִּדָּהin the measurementהָרִאשׁוֹנָהthe firstאַמּוֹתcubitsשִׁשִּׁיםsixtyוְרֹחַבand the breadthאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִים׃twenty

   Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

   וְהָאוּלָםand the porchאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofהָאֹרֶךְthe lengthעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofרֹחַב־הַבַּיִתthe breadth of the houseאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyוְהַגֹּבַהּand the heightמֵאָהa hundredוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyוַיְצַפֵּהוּand he overlaid itמִפְּנִימָהfrom withinזָהָבgoldטָהוֹר׃pure

   And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

   וְאֵתandהַבַּיִתthe houseהַגָּדוֹלthe greatחִפָּהhe overlaidעֵץwoodבְּרוֹשִׁיםcypressesוַיְחַפֵּהוּand he overlaid itזָהָבgoldטוֹבgoodוַיַּעַלand he set upon itעָלָיוupon himתִּמֹרִיםpalm treesוְשַׁרְשְׁרֹת׃and chains of

   And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

   וַיְצַףand he overlaidאֶת־הַבַּיִתthe houseאֶבֶןstoneיְקָרָהpreciousלְתִפְאָרֶתfor beautyוְהַזָּהָבand the goldזְהַבthe gold ofפַּרְוָיִם׃Parvaim

   And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

   וַיְחַףand he overlaidאֶת־הַבַּיִתthe houseהַקֹּרוֹתthe beamsהַסִּפִּיםthe thresholdsוְקִירוֹתָיוand its wallsוְדַלְתוֹתָיוand its doorsזָהָבgoldוּפִתַּחand he engravedכְּרוּבִיםcherubimעַל־הַקִּירוֹת׃upon the walls

   He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.

8. 8

   וַיַּעַשׂand he madeאֶת־בֵּית־קֹדֶשׁhouse of holyהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsאׇרְכּוֹits lengthעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofרֹחַב־הַבַּיִתthe breadth of the houseאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyוְרׇחְבּוֹand its breadthאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyוַיְחַפֵּהוּand he overlaid itזָהָבgoldטוֹבgoodלְכִכָּרִיםto talentsשֵׁשׁsixמֵאוֹת׃hundred

   And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

9. 9

   וּמִשְׁקָלand the weightלְמִסְמְרוֹתof nailsלִשְׁקָלִיםto shekelsחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyזָהָבgoldוְהָעֲלִיּוֹתand the upper roomsחִפָּהhe overlaidזָהָב׃gold

   And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

    וַיַּעַשׂand he madeבְּבֵית־קֹדֶשׁin the house of holyהַקֳּדָשִׁיםthe holy thingsכְּרוּבִיםcherubimשְׁנַיִםtwoמַעֲשֵׂהwork ofצַעֲצֻעִיםcastingsוַיְצַפּוּand they overlaidאֹתָםthemזָהָב׃gold

    And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

11. 11

    וְכַנְפֵיand the wings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimאׇרְכָּםtheir lengthאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyכְּנַףthe skirt ofהָאֶחָדthe oneלְאַמּוֹתto cubitsחָמֵשׁfiveמַגַּעַתwas touchingלְקִירthe wall ofהַבַּיִתthe houseוְהַכָּנָףand the wingהָאַחֶרֶתthe followingאַמּוֹתcubitsחָמֵשׁfiveמַגִּיעַwas reachingלִכְנַףthe wing ofהַכְּרוּבthe cherubהָאַחֵר׃the other

    And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

    וּכְנַףand the wing ofהַכְּרוּבthe cherubהָאֶחָדthe oneאַמּוֹתcubitsחָמֵשׁfiveמַגִּיעַwas reachingלְקִירthe wall ofהַבָּיִתthe houseוְהַכָּנָףand the wingהָאַחֶרֶתthe followingאַמּוֹתcubitsחָמֵשׁfiveדְּבֵקָהwas clingingלִכְנַףthe wing ofהַכְּרוּבthe cherubהָאַחֵר׃the other

    And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

13. 13

    כַּנְפֵיwings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםthe cherubimהָאֵלֶּהtheseפֹּרְשִׂיםwere spreading outאַמּוֹתcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyוְהֵםand theyעֹמְדִיםstandingעַל־רַגְלֵיהֶםupon their feetוּפְנֵיהֶםand their facesלַבָּיִת׃toward the house

    The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.

14. 14

    וַיַּעַשׂand he madeאֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶתthe veilתְּכֵלֶתviolet stuffוְאַרְגָּמָןand purpleוְכַרְמִילand crimsonוּבוּץand fine linenוַיַּעַלand he wrought upon itעָלָיוupon himכְּרוּבִים׃cherubim

    And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.

15. 15

    וַיַּעַשׂand he madeלִפְנֵיbeforeהַבַּיִתthe houseעַמּוּדִיםpillarsשְׁנַיִםtwoאַמּוֹתcubitsשְׁלֹשִׁיםthirtyוְחָמֵשׁand fiveאֹרֶךְthe length ofוְהַצֶּפֶתand the capitalאֲשֶׁר־עַל־רֹאשׁוֹwhich upon his headאַמּוֹתcubitsחָמֵשׁ׃five

    Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

16. 16

    וַיַּעַשׂand he madeשַׁרְשְׁרוֹתchainsבַּדְּבִירin the innermost roomוַיִּתֵּןand gaveעַל־רֹאשׁupon the head ofהָעַמֻּדִיםthe pillarsוַיַּעַשׂand he madeרִמּוֹנִיםpomegranatesמֵאָהa hundredוַיִּתֵּןand gaveבַּשַּׁרְשְׁרוֹת׃on the chains

    And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

    וַיָּקֶםand he set upאֶת־הָעַמּוּדִיםthe pillarsעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofהַהֵיכׇלthe templeאֶחָדoneמִיָּמִיןfrom right handוְאֶחָדand oneמֵהַשְּׂמֹאולfrom the leftוַיִּקְרָאand calledשֵׁם־[הַיְמָנִי]the name of the right(הימיני)יָכִיןJachinוְשֵׁםand the name ofהַשְּׂמָאלִיthe leftבֹּעַז׃Boaz

    And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
