   Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

   וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondבַּשֵּׁנִיbash/she/NIon the secondבִּשְׁנַתbish/NATin the year ofאַרְבַּעar/BAfourלְמַלְכוּתוֹ׃le/mal/khu/TOof his reign

   And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

   וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand these areהוּסַדhu/SADfoundedשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהָאֹרֶךְha/O/rekhthe lengthאַמּוֹתam/MOTin cubitsבַּמִּדָּהbam/mid/DAby the measureהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAformerאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוְרֹחַבve/RO/chavand the widthאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִים׃es/RIMtwenty

   Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

   וְהָאוּלָםve/ha/u/LAMand the porchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEin front ofהָאֹרֶךְha/O/rekhthe lengthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEalongרֹחַב־הַבַּיִתRO/chav-hab/BA/yitthe width of the houseאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyוְהַגֹּבַהּve/hag/GO/vaand the heightמֵאָהme/Aa hundredוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyוַיְצַפֵּהוּvay/tsap/PE/huand he overlaid itמִפְּנִימָהmip/pe/NI/mainsideזָהָבza/HAVgoldטָהוֹר׃ta/HORpure

   And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

   וְאֵתve/ETandהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatחִפָּהchip/PAhe paneledעֵץetswith wood ofבְּרוֹשִׁיםbe/ro/SHIMcypressוַיְחַפֵּהוּvay/chap/PE/huand overlaid itזָהָבza/HAVgoldטוֹבtovgoodוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he setעָלָיוa/LAYVon itתִּמֹרִיםti/mo/RIMpalm treesוְשַׁרְשְׁרֹת׃ve/shar/she/ROTand chains

   And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

   וַיְצַףvay/TSAFand he overlaidאֶת־הַבַּיִתet-hab/BA/yitthe houseאֶבֶןE/venwith stoneיְקָרָהye/ka/RApreciousלְתִפְאָרֶתle/tif/A/retfor beautyוְהַזָּהָבve/haz/za/HAVand the gold wasזְהַבze/HAVgold ofפַּרְוָיִם׃Par/VA/yimParvaim

   And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

   וַיְחַףvay/CHAFand he overlaidאֶת־הַבַּיִתet-hab/BA/yitthe houseהַקֹּרוֹתhak/ko/ROTthe beamsהַסִּפִּיםhas/sip/PIMthe thresholdsוְקִירוֹתָיוve/ki/ro/TAYVand its wallsוְדַלְתוֹתָיוve/dal/to/TAYVand its doorsזָהָבza/HAVgoldוּפִתַּחu/fit/TACHand he carvedכְּרוּבִיםke/ru/VIMcherubimעַל־הַקִּירוֹת׃al-hak/ki/ROTupon the walls

   He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.

   וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeאֶת־בֵּית־קֹדֶשׁet-bet-KO/deshthe house of the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMholiesאׇרְכּוֹor/KOits lengthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEalongרֹחַב־הַבַּיִתRO/chav-hab/BA/yitthe width of the houseאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyוְרׇחְבּוֹve/roch/BOand its widthאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyוַיְחַפֵּהוּvay/chap/PE/huand he overlaid itזָהָבza/HAVgoldטוֹבtovgoodלְכִכָּרִיםle/khik/ka/RIMin talentsשֵׁשׁsheshsixמֵאוֹת׃me/OThundred

   And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

   וּמִשְׁקָלu/mish/KALand the weightלְמִסְמְרוֹתle/mis/me/ROTfor the nailsלִשְׁקָלִיםlish/ka/LIMin shekelsחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְהָעֲלִיּוֹתve/ha/a/liy/YOTand the upper roomsחִפָּהchip/PAhe overlaidזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

   And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10. 10

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeבְּבֵית־קֹדֶשׁbe/VET-KO/deshin the house of the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMholiesכְּרוּבִיםke/ru/VIMcherubimשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEof the work ofצַעֲצֻעִיםtsa/a/tsu/IMcarvingוַיְצַפּוּvay/tsap/PUand they overlaidאֹתָםo/TAMthemזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

    And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

    וְכַנְפֵיve/khan/FEand the wings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimאׇרְכָּםor/KAMtheir lengthאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyכְּנַףke/NAFthe wing ofהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneלְאַמּוֹתle/am/MOTof cubitsחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveמַגַּעַתmag/GA/attouchingלְקִירle/KIRthe wall ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseוְהַכָּנָףve/hak/ka/NAFand the wingהָאַחֶרֶתha/a/CHE/retotherאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveמַגִּיעַmag/GI/atouchingלִכְנַףlikh/NAFthe wing ofהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubהָאַחֵר׃ha/a/CHERthe other

    And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

    וּכְנַףu/khe/NAFand the wing ofהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveמַגִּיעַmag/GI/atouchingלְקִירle/KIRthe wall ofהַבָּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseוְהַכָּנָףve/hak/ka/NAFand the wingהָאַחֶרֶתha/a/CHE/retotherאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveדְּבֵקָהde/ve/KAjoiningלִכְנַףlikh/NAFthe wing ofהַכְּרוּבhak/ke/RUVthe cherubהָאַחֵר׃ha/a/CHERthe other

    And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

    כַּנְפֵיkan/FEwings ofהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseפֹּרְשִׂיםpor/SIMspread outאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyוְהֵםve/HEMand theyעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstoodעַל־רַגְלֵיהֶםal-rag/le/HEMupon their feetוּפְנֵיהֶםu/fe/ne/HEMand their facesלַבָּיִת׃lab/BA/yitinward

    The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.

14. 14

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeאֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶתet-hap/pa/RO/khetthe veilתְּכֵלֶתte/KHE/letof blueוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוְכַרְמִילve/khar/MILand crimsonוּבוּץu/VUTSand fine linenוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he workedעָלָיוa/LAYVon itכְּרוּבִים׃ke/ru/VIMcherubim

    And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.

15. 15

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseעַמּוּדִיםam/mu/DIMpillarsשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyוְחָמֵשׁve/cha/MESHand fiveאֹרֶךְO/rekhlongוְהַצֶּפֶתve/hats/TSE/fetand the capitalאֲשֶׁר־עַל־רֹאשׁוֹa/SHER-al-ro/SHOthat was on the top of eachאַמּוֹתam/MOTcubitsחָמֵשׁ׃cha/MESHfive

    Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

16. 16

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeשַׁרְשְׁרוֹתshar/she/ROTchainsבַּדְּבִירbad/de/VIRas in the inner sanctuaryוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he setעַל־רֹאשׁal-roshon the top ofהָעַמֻּדִיםha/am/mu/DIMthe pillarsוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeרִמּוֹנִיםrim/mo/NIMpomegranatesמֵאָהme/Aa hundredוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he setבַּשַּׁרְשְׁרוֹת׃bash/shar/she/ROTon the chains

    And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

17. 17

    וַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand he set upאֶת־הָעַמּוּדִיםet-ha/am/mu/DIMthe pillarsעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEin front ofהַהֵיכָלha/he/KHALthe templeאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִיָּמִיןmiy/ya/MINon the rightוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADand oneמֵהַשְּׂמֹאולme/has/se/MOLon the leftוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledשֵׁם־[הַיְמָנִי]shem-hay/ma/NIthe name of the right one(הימיני)hayamayanayיָכִיןYa/KHINJachinוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofהַשְּׂמָאלִיhas/se/ma/LIthe left oneבֹּעַז׃BO/azBoaz

    And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
