   Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

   And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.

   וּמְנָתu/me/NATand the portion ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingמִן־רְכוּשׁוֹmin-re/khu/SHOfrom his goodsלָעֹלוֹתla/o/LOTfor the burnt offeringsלְעֹלוֹתle/o/LOTfor the burnt offerings ofהַבֹּקֶרhab/BO/kerthe morningוְהָעֶרֶבve/ha/E/revand the eveningוְהָעֹלוֹתve/ha/o/LOTand the burnt offeringsלַשַּׁבָּתוֹתlash/shab/ba/TOTfor the sabbathsוְלֶחֳדָשִׁיםve/le/cho/da/SHIMand for the new moonsוְלַמֹּעֲדִיםve/lam/mo/a/DIMand for the appointed feastsכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenבְּתוֹרַתbe/to/RATin the law ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he commandedלָעָםla/AMthe peopleלְיוֹשְׁבֵיle/yosh/VEwho dwelt inיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemלָתֵתla/TETto giveמְנָתme/NATthe portion ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֶחֶזְקוּye/chez/KUthey might hold fastבְּתוֹרַתbe/to/RATto the law ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.

   וְכִפְרֹץve/khif/ROTSand as soon as went outהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe commandהִרְבּוּhir/BUbrought in abundanceבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITthe firstfruits ofדָּגָןda/GANgrainתִּירוֹשׁti/ROSHnew wineוְיִצְהָרve/yits/HARand oilוּדְבַשׁu/de/VASHand honeyוְכֹלve/KHOLand of allתְּבוּאַתte/vu/ATthe produce ofשָׂדֶהsa/DEthe fieldוּמַעְשַׂרu/ma/SARand the tithe ofהַכֹּלhak/KOLeverythingלָרֹבla/ROVabundantlyהֵבִיאוּ׃he/VI/uthey brought

   And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

   וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוִיהוּדָהVi/hu/DAand Judahהַיּוֹשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho dweltבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahגַּם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoמַעְשַׂרma/SARthe tithe ofבָּקָרba/KARoxenוָצֹאןva/TSONand sheepוּמַעְשַׂרu/ma/SARand the tithe ofקׇדָשִׁיםko/da/SHIMthe holy thingsהַמְקֻדָּשִׁיםham/kud/da/SHIMthat were consecratedלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godהֵבִיאוּhe/VI/uthey broughtוַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUand laid themעֲרֵמוֹתa/re/MOTheapsעֲרֵמוֹת׃a/re/MOTheaps

   And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

7. 7

   בַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשְּׁלִשִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdהֵחֵלּוּhe/CHEL/luthey beganהָעֲרֵמוֹתha/a/re/MOTthe heapsלְיִסּוֹדle/yis/SODto lay the foundation ofוּבַחֹדֶשׁu/va/CHO/deshand in the monthהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhכִּלּוּ׃kil/LUthey finished

   In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

8. 8

   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand when cameיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahוְהַשָּׂרִיםve/has/sa/RIMand the princesוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawאֶת־הָעֲרֵמוֹתet-ha/a/re/MOTthe heapsוַיְבָרְכוּvay/va/re/KHUand they blessedאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDוְאֵתve/ETandעַמּוֹam/MOHis peopleיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.

   וַיִּדְרֹשׁvay/yid/ROSHand questionedיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahעַל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםal-hak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesעַל־הָעֲרֵמוֹת׃al-ha/a/re/MOTconcerning the heaps

   Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

10. 10

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himעֲזַרְיָהוּA/zar/YA/huAzariahהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהָרֹאשׁha/ROSHthe chiefלְבֵיתle/VETof the house ofצָדוֹקTsa/DOKZadokוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֵהָחֵלme/ha/CHELsince they beganהַתְּרוּמָהhat/te/ru/MAthe contributionsלָבִיאla/VIto bringבֵית־יְהֹוָהvet-Adonaiinto the house of the LORDאָכוֹלa/KHOLeatוְשָׂבוֹעַve/sa/VO/aand be satisfiedוְהוֹתֵרve/ho/TERand leave overעַד־לָרוֹבad-la/ROVplentyכִּיkiforיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבֵּרַךְbe/RAKHhas blessedאֶת־עַמּוֹet-am/MOHis peopleוְהַנּוֹתָרve/han/no/TARand what is leftאֶת־הֶהָמוֹןet-he/ha/MONis the abundanceהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.

11. 11

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merthen commandedיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareלְשָׁכוֹתle/sha/KHOTchambersבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיָּכִינוּ׃vay/ya/KHI/nuand they prepared

    Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them,

12. 12

    וַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uand broughtאֶת־הַתְּרוּמָהet-hat/te/ru/MAthe contributionsוְהַמַּעֲשֵׂרve/ham/ma/a/SERand the titheוְהַקֳּדָשִׁיםve/hak/ko/da/SHIMand the dedicated thingsבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAfaithfullyוַעֲלֵיהֶםva/a/le/HEMand over themנָגִידna/GIDruler[כׇּנַנְיָהוּ]Ko/nan/YA/huCononiahהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Leviteוְשִׁמְעִיve/Shim/Iand Shimeiאָחִיהוּa/CHI/huhis brotherמִשְׁנֶה׃mish/NEwas second

    And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

    And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

14. 14

    וְקוֹרֵאve/Ko/REand Koreבֶן־יִמְנָהven-Yim/NAthe son of Jimnaהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Leviteהַשּׁוֹעֵרhash/sho/ERthe gatekeeperלַמִּזְרָחָהlam/miz/RA/chatoward the eastעַלalwas overנִדְבוֹתnid/VOTthe freewill offerings ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלָתֵתla/TETto distributeתְּרוּמַתte/ru/MATthe contributions forיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְקׇדְשֵׁיve/kod/SHEand the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁים׃hak/ko/da/SHIMholies

    And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.

15. 15

    וְעַל־יָדוֹve/AL-ya/DOand under himעֵדֶןE/denEdenוּמִנְיָמִןu/Min/ya/MINand Miniaminוְיֵשׁוּעַve/Ye/SHU/aand Jeshuaוּשְׁמַעְיָהוּu/She/ma/YA/huand ShemaiahאֲמַרְיָהוּA/mar/YA/huAmariahוּשְׁכַנְיָהוּu/She/khan/YA/huand Shechaniahבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAfaithfullyלָתֵתla/TETto distributeלַאֲחֵיהֶםla/a/che/HEMto their brothersבְּמַחְלְקוֹתbe/mach/le/KOTby divisionsכַּגָּדוֹלkag/ga/DOLas the greatכַּקָּטָן׃kak/ka/TANas the small

    And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:

16. 16

    מִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesהִתְיַחְשָׂםhit/yach/SAMtheir enrollmentלִזְכָרִיםliz/kha/RIMof malesמִבֶּןmib/BENfrom a son ofשָׁלוֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsוּלְמַעְלָהu/le/MA/laand upwardsלְכׇל־הַבָּאle/KHOL-hab/BAto everyone who enteredלְבֵית־יְהֹוָהle/VET-Adonaiinto the house of the LORDלִדְבַר־יוֹםlid/VAR-yomas each day's matterבְּיוֹמוֹbe/yo/MOin its dayלַעֲבוֹדָתָםla/a/vo/da/TAMfor their serviceבְּמִשְׁמְרוֹתָםbe/mish/me/ro/TAMby their chargesכְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיהֶם׃ke/mach/le/ko/te/HEMaccording to their divisions

    Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even unto every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;

17. 17

    וְאֵתve/ETand toהִתְיַחֵשׂhit/ya/CHESthe enrollment ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsלְבֵיתle/VETby the house ofאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/te/HEMtheir fathersוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesמִבֶּןmib/BENfrom a son ofעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּלְמָעְלָהu/le/MA/laand upwardsבְּמִשְׁמְרוֹתֵיהֶםbe/mish/me/ro/te/HEMby their chargesבְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיהֶם׃be/mach/le/ko/te/HEMby their divisions

    Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their courses;

18. 18

    וּלְהִתְיַחֵשׂu/le/hit/ya/CHESand to the enrollmentבְּכׇל־טַפָּםbe/KHOL-tap/PAMof all their little onesנְשֵׁיהֶםne/she/HEMtheir wivesוּבְנֵיהֶםu/ve/ne/HEMand their sonsוּבְנוֹתֵיהֶםu/ve/no/te/HEMand their daughtersלְכׇל־קָהָלle/KHOL-ka/HALthrough all the congregationכִּיkiforבֶאֱמוּנָתָםve/e/mu/na/TAMin their faithfulnessיִתְקַדְּשׁוּ־קֹדֶשׁ׃yit/kad/de/SHU-KO/deshthey sanctified themselves in holiness

    And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:

19. 19

    וְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEalso for the sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsבִּשְׂדֵיbis/DEin the fields ofמִגְרַשׁmig/RASHthe pasture lands ofעָרֵיהֶםa/re/HEMtheir citiesבְּכׇל־עִירbe/KHOL-irin every cityוָעִירva/IRand cityאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִקְּבוּnik/ke/VUwere designatedבְּשֵׁמוֹתbe/she/MOTby nameלָתֵתla/TETto giveמָנוֹתma/NOTportionsלְכׇל־זָכָרle/KHOL-za/KHARto every maleבַּכֹּהֲנִיםbak/ko/ha/NIMamong the priestsוּלְכׇל־הִתְיַחֵשׂu/le/KHOL-hit/ya/CHESand to all enrolledבַּלְוִיִּם׃Bal/viy/YIMamong the Levites

    Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.

20. 20

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didכָּזֹאתka/ZOTthusיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahבְּכׇל־יְהוּדָהbe/KHOL-ye/hu/DAin all Judahוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didהַטּוֹבhat/TOVwhat was goodוְהַיָּשָׁרve/hay/ya/SHARand rightוְהָאֱמֶתve/ha/e/METand trueלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיו׃e/lo/HAYVhis God

    And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.

21. 21

    וּבְכׇל־מַעֲשֶׂהu/ve/KHOL-ma/a/SEand in every workאֲשֶׁר־הֵחֵלa/SHER-he/CHELthat he beganבַּעֲבוֹדַתba/a/vo/DATin the service ofבֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִיםbet-ha/e/lo/HIMthe house of Godוּבַתּוֹרָהu/vat/to/RAand in the lawוּבַמִּצְוָהu/vam/mits/VAand in the commandmentלִדְרֹשׁlid/ROSHto seekלֵאלֹהָיוle/lo/HAYVhis Godבְּכׇל־לְבָבוֹbe/KHOL-le/va/VOwith all his heartעָשָׂהa/SAhe didוְהִצְלִיחַ׃ve/hits/LI/achand prospered

    And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
