   And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.

   וַיִּוָּעַץvay/yiv/va/ATSfor had taken counselהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְשָׂרָיוve/sa/RAYVand his princesוְכׇל־הַקָּהָלve/KHOL-hak/ka/HALand all the assemblyבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto keepהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשֵּׁנִי׃hash/she/NIthe second

   For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotיָכְלוּya/khe/LUcould theyלַעֲשֹׂתוֹla/a/so/TOkeep itבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִיאha/HIthatכִּיkibecauseהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsלֹא־הִתְקַדְּשׁוּlo-hit/kad/de/SHUhad not sanctified themselvesלְמַדַּיle/mad/DAYsufficientlyוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleלֹא־נֶאֶסְפוּlo-ne/es/FUhad not gatheredלִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃lI/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalem

   For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

   וַיִּישַׁרvay/yi/SHARand was rightהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוּבְעֵינֵיu/ve/e/NEand in the eyes ofכׇּל־הַקָּהָל׃kol-hak/ka/HALall the assembly

   And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

   So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.

   So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

   וְאַל־תִּהְיוּve/AL-tih/YUand do not beכַּאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםka/a/vo/te/KHEMlike your fathersוְכַאֲחֵיכֶםve/kha/a/che/KHEMand like your brothersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoמָעֲלוּma/a/LUtransgressedבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiagainst the LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/te/HEMtheir fathersוַיִּתְּנֵםvay/yit/te/NEMso that He gave them upלְשַׁמָּהle/sham/MAto desolationכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאַתֶּםat/TEMyouרֹאִים׃ro/IMsee

   And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.

   עַתָּהat/TAnowאַל־תַּקְשׁוּal-tak/SHUdo not stiffenעׇרְפְּכֶםor/pe/KHEMyour neckכַּאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםka/a/vo/te/KHEMlike your fathersתְּנוּ־יָדte/NU-yadyield yourselvesלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוּבֹאוּu/VO/uand comeלְמִקְדָּשׁוֹle/mik/da/SHOinto His sanctuaryאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִקְדִּישׁhik/DISHHe has sanctifiedלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוְעִבְדוּve/iv/DUand serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְיָשֹׁבve/ya/SHOVthat may turn awayמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youחֲרוֹןcha/RONthe fierceness ofאַפּוֹ׃ap/POHis anger

   Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

   כִּיkiforבְשׁוּבְכֶםve/shuv/KHEMwhen you returnעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaito the LORDאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brothersוּבְנֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMand your sonsלְרַחֲמִיםle/ra/cha/MIMshall find compassionלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeשׁוֹבֵיהֶםsho/ve/HEMtheir captorsוְלָשׁוּבve/la/SHUVso that they shall returnלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכִּי־חַנּוּןki-chan/NUNfor graciousוְרַחוּםve/ra/CHUMand mercifulיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְלֹא־יָסִירve/LO-ya/SIRand will not turn awayפָּנִיםpa/NIMHis faceמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youאִם־תָּשׁוּבוּim-ta/SHU/vuif you returnאֵלָיו׃e/LAYVto Him

   For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereהָרָצִיםha/ra/TSIMthe runnersעֹבְרִיםov/RIMpassedמֵעִירme/IRfrom cityלָעִירla/IRto cityבְּאֶרֶץ־אֶפְרַיִםbe/E/rets-ef/RA/yimin the land of Ephraimוּמְנַשֶּׁהu/Me/nash/SHEand Manassehוְעַד־זְבֻלוּןve/AD-ze/vu/LUNand to Zebulunוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUbut they wereמַשְׂחִיקִיםmas/chi/KIMlaughingעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMat themוּמַלְעִגִיםu/mal/i/GIMand mockingבָּם׃bamthem

    So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.

11. 11

    אַךְ־אֲנָשִׁיםakh-a/na/SHIMbut menמֵאָשֵׁרme/A/SHERof Asherוּמְנַשֶּׁהu/Me/nash/SHEand Manassehוּמִזְּבֻלוּןu/Miz/ze/vu/LUNand of Zebulunנִכְנְעוּnikh/ne/Uhumbled themselvesוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameלִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃lI/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalem

    Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

12. 12

    גַּםgamalsoבִּיהוּדָהbI/hu/DAin Judahהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasיַדyadthe hand ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלָתֵתla/TETto giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themלֵבlevheartאֶחָדe/CHADoneלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doמִצְוַתmits/VATthe commandment ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְהַשָּׂרִיםve/has/sa/RIMand the princesבִּדְבַרbid/VARby the word ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

    וַיֵּאָסְפוּvay/ye/a/se/FUand assembledיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimat Jerusalemעַם־רָבam-ravmany peopleלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto keepאֶת־חַגet-chagthe feast ofהַמַּצּוֹתham/mats/TSOTunleavened breadבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondקָהָלka/HALan assemblyלָרֹבla/ROVgreatמְאֹד׃me/ODvery

    And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

14. 14

    וַיָּקֻמוּvay/ya/KU/muand they aroseוַיָּסִירוּvay/ya/SI/ruand removedאֶת־הַמִּזְבְּחוֹתet-ham/miz/be/CHOTthe altarsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַמְקַטְּרוֹתkol-ham/kat/te/ROTall the incense altarsהֵסִירוּhe/SI/ruthey removedוַיַּשְׁלִיכוּvay/yash/LI/khuand cast themלְנַחַלle/NA/chalinto the brook ofקִדְרוֹן׃Kid/RONKidron

    And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.

15. 15

    וַיִּשְׁחֲטוּvay/yish/cha/TUand they slaughteredהַפֶּסַחhap/PE/sachthe passoverבְּאַרְבָּעָה־עָשָׂרbe/ar/ba/A-a/SARon the fourteenthלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesנִכְלְמוּnikh/le/MUwere ashamedוַיִּתְקַדְּשׁוּvay/yit/kad/de/SHUand sanctified themselvesוַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uand broughtעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsבֵּיתbetinto the house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

16. 16

    וַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand stoodעַל־עׇמְדָםal-om/DAMin their placeכְּמִשְׁפָּטָםke/mish/pa/TAMaccording to their ordinanceכְּתוֹרַתke/to/RATaccording to the law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִיםish-ha/e/lo/HIMthe man of Godהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsזֹרְקִיםzor/KIMsprinkledאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofהַלְוִיִּם׃Hal/viy/YIMthe Levites

    And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.

17. 17

    כִּי־רַבַּתki-rab/BATfor many wereבַּקָּהָלbak/ka/HALin the assemblyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹא־הִתְקַדָּשׁוּlo-hit/kad/DA/shuhad not sanctified themselvesוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesעַל־שְׁחִיטַתal-she/chi/TATover the slaughter ofהַפְּסָחִיםhap/pe/sa/CHIMthe passover lambsלְכֹלle/KHOLfor everyoneלֹאlonotטָהוֹרta/HORcleanלְהַקְדִּישׁle/hak/DISHto sanctify themלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.

    כִּיkiforמַרְבִּיתmar/BITa multitude ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleרַבַּתrab/BATmanyמֵאֶפְרַיִםme/Ef/RA/yimof Ephraimוּמְנַשֶּׁהu/Me/nash/SHEand ManassehיִשָּׂשכָרYis/sash/KHARIssacharוּזְבֻלוּןu/Ze/vu/LUNand Zebulunלֹאlonotהִטֶּהָרוּhit/te/HA/ruhad cleansed themselvesכִּי־אָכְלוּki-a/khe/LUyet they ateאֶת־הַפֶּסַחet-hap/PE/sachthe passoverבְּלֹאbe/LOwithoutכַכָּתוּבkhak/ka/TUVaccording to what is writtenכִּיkibutהִתְפַּלֵּלhit/pal/LELprayedיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMfor themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהַטּוֹבhat/TOVwho is goodיְכַפֵּרye/khap/PERpardonבְּעַד׃be/ADfor

    For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one

19. 19

    כׇּל־לְבָבוֹkol-le/va/VOeveryone his heartהֵכִיןhe/KHINwho has setלִדְרוֹשׁlid/ROSHto seekהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבוֹתָיוa/vo/TAYVhis fathersוְלֹאve/LOthough notכְּטׇהֳרַתke/to/ho/RATaccording to the purification ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshthe sanctuary

    That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

20. 20

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand hearkenedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־יְחִזְקִיָּהוּel-Ye/chiz/kiy/YA/huto Hezekiahוַיִּרְפָּאvay/yir/PAand healedאֶת־הָעָם׃et-ha/AMthe people

    And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21. 21

    וַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand keptבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelהַנִּמְצְאִיםhan/nim/tse/IMwho were presentבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemאֶת־חַגet-chagthe feast ofהַמַּצּוֹתham/mats/TSOTunleavened breadשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith joyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוּמְהַלְלִיםu/me/hal/LIMand praisedלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaithe LORDיוֹםyomdayבְּיוֹםbe/YOMby dayהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsבִּכְלֵי־עֹזbikh/LE-ozwith loud instrumentsלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahעַל־לֵבal-levto the heart ofכׇּל־הַלְוִיִּםkol-Hal/viy/YIMall the Levitesהַמַּשְׂכִּילִיםham/mas/ki/LIMwho showedשֵׂכֶל־טוֹבSE/khel-tovgood understandingלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiof the LORDוַיֹּאכְלוּvay/yo/khe/LUand they ateאֶת־הַמּוֹעֵדet-ham/mo/EDthe appointed feastשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysמְזַבְּחִיםme/zab/be/CHIMsacrificingזִבְחֵיziv/CHEsacrifices ofשְׁלָמִיםshe/la/MIMpeace offeringsוּמִתְוַדִּיםu/mit/vad/DIMand making confessionלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵיהֶם׃a/vo/te/HEMtheir fathers

    And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.

    וַיִּוָּעֲצוּvay/yiv/va/a/TSUand took counselכׇּל־הַקָּהָלkol-hak/ka/HALall the assemblyלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto keepשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand they keptשִׁבְעַת־יָמִיםshiv/AT-ya/MIMseven daysשִׂמְחָה׃sim/CHAwith gladness

    And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.

    For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

    And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.

    וַתְּהִיvat/te/HIso there wasשִׂמְחָה־גְדוֹלָהsim/CHA-ge/do/LAgreat joyבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin JerusalemכִּיkiforמִימֵיMI/mefrom the days ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonבֶן־דָּוִידven-Da/VIDthe son of DavidמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֹאlothere was notכָזֹאתkha/ZOTthe likeבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

    So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

    וַיָּקֻמוּvay/ya/KU/muand rose upהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesוַיְבָרְכוּvay/va/re/KHUand they blessedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleוַיִּשָּׁמַעvay/yish/sha/MAand was heardבְּקוֹלָםbe/ko/LAMtheir voiceוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand cameתְפִלָּתָםte/fil/la/TAMtheir prayerלִמְעוֹןlim/ONto the dwelling ofקׇדְשׁוֹkod/SHOHis holinessלַשָּׁמָיִם׃lash/sha/MA/yimto the heavens

    Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.
