   וַיִּתְחַזֵּקvay/yit/chaz/ZEKand established himselfשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonבֶן־דָּוִידven-Da/VIDthe son of Davidעַל־מַלְכוּתוֹal-mal/khu/TOover his kingdomוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVhis Godעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוַיְגַדְּלֵהוּvay/gad/de/LE/huand made him greatלְמָעְלָה׃le/MA/laexceedingly

   And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

   Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

   So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

   But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

   וּמִזְבַּחu/miz/BACHand the altar ofהַנְּחֹשֶׁתhan/ne/CHO/shetbronzeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAhad madeבְּצַלְאֵלBe/tsal/ELBezaleelבֶּן־אוּרִיben-U/RIthe son of Uriבֶן־חוּרven-Churthe son of Hurשָׁםshamwas thereלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמִשְׁכַּןmish/KANthe tabernacle ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיִּדְרְשֵׁהוּvay/yid/re/SHE/huand sought itשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוְהַקָּהָל׃ve/hak/ka/HALand the assembly

   Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

   וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonשָׁםshamthereעַל־מִזְבַּחal-miz/BACHto the altar ofהַנְּחֹשֶׁתhan/ne/CHO/shetbronzeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasלְאֹהֶלle/O/helat the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland offeredעָלָיוa/LAYVon itעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsאָלֶף׃A/lefa thousand

   And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

   In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godאַתָּהat/TAYouעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tahave shownעִם־דָּוִידim-Da/VIDwith Davidאָבִיa/VImy fatherחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְהִמְלַכְתַּנִיve/him/lakh/TA/niand have made me kingתַּחְתָּיו׃tach/TAYVin his place

   And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

   עַתָּהat/TAnowיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיֵאָמֵןye/a/MENlet be confirmedדְּבָרְךָde/va/re/KHAYour wordעִםimwithדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidאָבִיa/VImy fatherכִּיkiforאַתָּהat/TAYouהִמְלַכְתַּנִיhim/lakh/TA/nihave made me kingעַל־עַםal-amover a peopleרַבravgreatכַּעֲפַרka/a/FARas the dust ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

   Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10. 10

    עַתָּהat/TAnowחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוּמַדָּעu/mad/DAand knowledgeתֶּן־לִיten-ligive to meוְאֵצְאָהve/ets/Athat I may go outלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָם־הַזֶּהha/AM-haz/ZEthis peopleוְאָבוֹאָהve/a/VO/aand come inכִּי־מִיki-mifor whoיִשְׁפֹּטyish/POTcan judgeאֶת־עַמְּךָet-am/me/KHAYour peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLgreat

    Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto SolomonיַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasזֹאתzotthisעִם־לְבָבֶךָim-le/va/VE/khain your heartוְלֹא־שָׁאַלְתָּve/LO-sha/AL/taand you have not askedעֹשֶׁרO/sherrichesנְכָסִיםne/kha/SIMwealthוְכָבוֹדve/kha/VODor honorוְאֵתve/ETorנֶפֶשׁNE/feshthe life ofשֹׂנְאֶיךָson/E/khathose who hate youוְגַם־יָמִיםve/GAM-ya/MIMnor even daysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלֹאlonotשָׁאָלְתָּsha/AL/tahave you askedוַתִּשְׁאַל־לְךָvat/tish/AL-le/KHAbut have asked for yourselfחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוּמַדָּעu/mad/DAand knowledgeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּשְׁפּוֹטtish/POTyou may judgeאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERover whomהִמְלַכְתִּיךָhim/lakh/TI/khaI have made you kingעָלָיו׃a/LAYVover them

    And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

    הַחׇכְמָהha/chokh/MAthe wisdomוְהַמַּדָּעve/ham/mad/DAand the knowledgeנָתוּןna/TUNis givenלָךְlakhto youוְעֹשֶׁרve/O/sherand richesוּנְכָסִיםu/ne/kha/SIMand wealthוְכָבוֹדve/kha/VODand honorאֶתֶּן־לָךְet/TEN-lakhI will give youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERsuch asלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere has not beenכֵןkhensoלַמְּלָכִיםlam/me/la/KHIMto the kingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוְאַחֲרֶיךָve/a/cha/RE/khaand after youלֹאlonotיִהְיֶה־כֵּן׃yih/YE-kenshall be so

    Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOthen cameשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלַבָּמָהlab/ba/MAto the high placeאֲשֶׁר־בְּגִבְעוֹןa/SHER-Be/giv/ONthat was at Gibeonיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalemמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom beforeאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃al-Yis/ra/ELover Israel

    Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

14. 14

    וַיֶּאֱסֹףvay/ye/e/SOFand gatheredשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonרֶכֶבRE/khevchariotsוּפָרָשִׁיםu/fa/ra/SHIMand horsemenוַיְהִי־לוֹvay/HI-loand he hadאֶלֶףE/lefa thousandוְאַרְבַּע־מֵאוֹתve/ar/BA-me/OTand four hundredרֶכֶבRE/khevchariotsוּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרu/she/NEM-a/SARand twelveאֶלֶףE/lefthousandפָּרָשִׁיםpa/ra/SHIMhorsemenוַיַּנִּיחֵםvay/yan/ni/CHEMand he stationed themבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהָרֶכֶבha/RE/khevthe chariotsוְעִם־הַמֶּלֶךְve/IM-ham/ME/lekhand with the kingבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

    And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

15. 15

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand madeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverוְאֶת־הַזָּהָבve/ET-haz/za/HAVand the goldבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemכָּאֲבָנִיםka/a/va/NIMlike stonesוְאֵתve/ETandהָאֲרָזִיםha/a/ra/ZIMthe cedarsנָתַןna/TANhe madeכַּשִּׁקְמִיםkash/shik/MIMlike the sycamoresאֲשֶׁר־בַּשְּׁפֵלָהa/SHER-bash/she/fe/LAthat are in the lowlandלָרֹב׃la/ROVin abundance

    And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

16. 16

    וּמוֹצָאu/mo/TSAand the source ofהַסּוּסִיםhas/su/SIMthe horsesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOSolomon'sמִמִּצְרָיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimfrom Egyptוּמִקְוֵאu/Mik/VEand from Queסֹחֲרֵיso/cha/REthe traders ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingמִקְוֵאMik/VEfrom Queיִקְחוּyik/CHUwould buyבִּמְחִיר׃bim/CHIRfor a price

    And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

17. 17

    וַיַּעֲלוּvay/ya/a/LUand they brought upוַיּוֹצִיאוּvay/yo/TSI/uand exportedמִמִּצְרַיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptמֶרְכָּבָהmer/ka/VAa chariotבְּשֵׁשׁbe/SHESHfor sixמֵאוֹתme/OThundredכֶּסֶףKE/sefsilverוְסוּסve/SUSand a horseבַּחֲמִשִּׁיםba/cha/mish/SHIMfor fiftyוּמֵאָהu/me/Aand a hundredוְכֵןve/KHENand soלְכׇל־מַלְכֵיle/KHOL-mal/KHEfor all the kings ofהַחִתִּיםha/Chit/TIMthe Hittitesוּמַלְכֵיu/mal/KHEand the kings ofאֲרָםA/RAMAramבְּיָדָםbe/ya/DAMby their handיוֹצִיאוּ׃yo/TSI/uthey exported

    And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.

18. 18

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildבַּיִתBA/yita houseלְשֵׁםle/SHEMfor the name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּבַיִתu/VA/yitand a houseלְמַלְכוּתוֹ׃le/mal/khu/TOfor his kingdom

    And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
