   And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

   That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

   And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

   And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

   וַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIand I will establishאֶת־כִּסֵּאet-kis/SEthe throne ofמַמְלַכְתְּךָmam/lakh/te/KHAyour kingdomעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵלal-Yis/ra/ELover Israelלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenעַל־דָּוִדal-Da/VIDto Davidאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹא־יִכָּרֵתlo-yik/ka/RETthere shall not be cut offלְךָle/KHAfor youאִישׁisha manמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe throne ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

   אִם־שׁוֹבim-shovif turnתְּשֻׁבוּןte/shu/VUNyou turn awayאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוּבְנֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMor your childrenמֵאַחֲרַיme/a/cha/RAYfrom following Meוְלֹאve/LOand do notתִשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUkeepמִצְוֺתַיmits/vo/TAYMy commandmentsחֻקֹּתַיchuk/ko/TAYMy statutesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have setלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוַהֲלַכְתֶּםva/ha/lakh/TEMbut goוַעֲבַדְתֶּםva/a/vad/TEMand serveאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMother godsוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶםve/hish/ta/cha/vi/TEMand bow downלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

   But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

   וְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIthen I will cut offאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe earthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themוְאֶת־הַבַּיִתve/ET-hab/BA/yitand the houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהִקְדַּשְׁתִּיhik/DASH/tiI have consecratedלִשְׁמִיlish/MIfor My nameאֲשַׁלַּחa/shal/LACHI will castמֵעַלme/ALfromפָּנָיpa/NAYMy sightוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְמָשָׁלle/ma/SHALa proverbוְלִשְׁנִינָהve/lish/ni/NAand a bywordבְּכׇל־הָעַמִּים׃be/KHOL-ha/am/MIMamong all the peoples

   Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8. 8

   וְהַבַּיִתve/hab/BA/yitand the houseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beעֶלְיוֹןel/YONhighכׇּל־עֹבֵרkol-o/VEReveryone passingעָלָיוa/LAYVby itיִשֹּׁםyish/SHOMwill be appalledוְשָׁרָקve/sha/RAKand will hissוְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUand they will sayעַל־מֶהal-mewhyעָשָׂהa/SAhas doneיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכָּכָהKA/khasoלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְלַבַּיִתve/lab/BA/yitand to the houseהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

   וְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUand they will sayעַלalbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָזְבוּa/ze/VUthey forsookאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהוֹצִיאho/TSIbrought outאֶת־אֲבֹתָםet-a/vo/TAMtheir fathersמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיַּחֲזִקוּvay/ya/cha/ZI/kuand they took holdבֵּאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםbe/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMof other gods(וישתחו)vayashatachav[וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ]vay/yish/ta/cha/VUand bowed downלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַיַּעַבְדֻםvay/ya/av/DUMand they served themעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeהֵבִיאhe/VIbroughtיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themאֵת־כׇּל־הָרָעָהet-kol-ha/ra/Aall the evilהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

   And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִקְצֵהmik/TSEat the end ofעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsאֲשֶׁר־בָּנָהa/SHER-ba/NAwhen had builtשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEthe twoהַבָּתִּיםhab/bat/TIMhousesאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand the house ofהַמֶּלֶךְ׃ham/ME/lekhthe king

    And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,

    חִירָםChi/RAMHiramמֶלֶךְ־צֹרME/lekh-Tsorthe king of Tyreנִשָּׂאnis/SAhad suppliedאֶת־שְׁלֹמֹהet-She/lo/MOSolomonבַּעֲצֵיba/a/TSEwith timber ofאֲרָזִיםa/ra/ZIMcedarsוּבַעֲצֵיu/va/a/TSEand with timber ofבְרוֹשִׁיםve/ro/SHIMcypressוּבַזָּהָבu/vaz/za/HAVand with goldלְכׇל־חֶפְצוֹle/KHOL-chef/TSOaccording to all his desireאָזazthenיִתֵּןyit/TENgaveהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלְחִירָםle/Chi/RAMto Hiramעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyעִירircitiesבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofהַגָּלִיל׃Hag/ga/LILGalilee

    (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

12. 12

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outחִירָםChi/RAMHiramמִצֹּרmits/TSORfrom Tyreלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־הֶעָרִיםet-he/a/RIMthe citiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַן־לוֹna/TAN-lohad given himשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוְלֹאve/LOand notיָשְׁרוּya/she/RUwere they rightבְּעֵינָיו׃be/e/NAYVin his eyes

    And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

13. 13

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמָהmawhat areהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּהa/SHER-na/TAT/tathat you have givenלִּיlito meאָחִיa/CHImy brotherוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledלָהֶםla/HEMthemאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofכָּבוּלKa/VULCabulעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

14. 14

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentחִירָםChi/RAMHiramלַמֶּלֶךְlam/ME/lekhto the kingמֵאָהme/Aa hundredוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyכִּכַּרkik/KARtalents ofזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

    And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.

15. 15

    וְזֶהve/ZEand this isדְבַר־הַמַּסde/VAR-ham/MASthe account of the levyאֲשֶׁר־הֶעֱלָהa/SHER-he/e/LAthat raisedהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹve/ET-be/TOand his houseוְאֶת־הַמִּלּוֹאve/ET-ham/mil/LOand the Milloוְאֵתve/ETandחוֹמַתcho/MATthe wall ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְאֶת־חָצֹרve/ET-cha/TSORand Hazorוְאֶת־מְגִדּוֹve/ET-me/gid/DOand Megiddoוְאֶת־גָּזֶר׃ve/ET-GA/zerand Gezer

    And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

    פַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimthe king of Egyptעָלָהa/LAhad gone upוַיִּלְכֹּדvay/yil/KODand he capturedאֶת־גֶּזֶרet-GE/zerGezerוַיִּשְׂרְפָהּvay/yis/re/FAand burned itבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireוְאֶת־הַכְּנַעֲנִיve/ET-hak/ke/na/a/NIand the Canaanitesהַיֹּשֵׁבhay/yo/SHEVwho dweltבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהָרָגha/RAGhe had killedוַיִּתְּנָהּvay/yit/te/NAand he gave itשִׁלֻּחִיםshil/lu/CHIMas a dowryלְבִתּוֹle/vit/TOto his daughterאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofשְׁלֹמֹה׃She/lo/MOSolomon

    For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife.

    וַיִּבֶןvay/YI/venand builtשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֶת־גָּזֶרet-GA/zerGezerוְאֶת־בֵּיתve/ET-betand Beth-חֹרֹןcho/RONhoronתַּחְתּוֹן׃tach/TONthe lower

    And Solomon built Gezer, and Beth-horon the nether,

18. 18

    וְאֶת־בַּעֲלָתve/ET-ba/a/LATand Baalathוְאֶת־[תַּדְמֹר]ve/ET-tad/MORand Tadmor(תמר)tamarבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsin the land

    And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,

19. 19

    וְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־עָרֵיkol-a/REall the cities ofהַמִּסְכְּנוֹתham/mis/ke/NOTstoreאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיוּha/YUwereלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonוְאֵתve/ETandעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofהָרֶכֶבha/RE/khevchariotsוְאֵתve/ETandעָרֵיa/REthe cities ofהַפָּרָשִׁיםhap/pa/ra/SHIMthe horsemenוְאֵתve/ETandחֵשֶׁקCHE/shekthe desire ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatחָשַׁקcha/SHAKhe desiredלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוּבַלְּבָנוֹןu/Val/le/va/NONand in Lebanonוּבְכֹלu/ve/KHOLand in allאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofמֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ׃mem/shal/TOhis dominion

    And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

    כׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleהַנּוֹתָרhan/no/TARthat was leftמִן־הָאֱמֹרִיmin-Ha/e/mo/RIof the Amoritesהַחִתִּיha/Chit/TIthe Hittitesהַפְּרִזִּיhap/Pe/riz/ZIthe Perizzitesהַחִוִּיha/Chiv/VIthe HivitesוְהַיְבוּסִיVe/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusitesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹא־מִבְּנֵיlo-mib/be/NEwere not of the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey

    And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,

21. 21

    בְּנֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMtheir childrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנֹתְרוּnot/RUwere leftאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUwere not ableבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְהַחֲרִימָםle/ha/cha/ri/MAMto utterly destroy themוַיַּעֲלֵםvay/ya/a/LEMand raised themשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלְמַס־עֹבֵדle/MAS-o/VEDas a levy of slavesעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.

    וּמִבְּנֵיu/mib/be/NEbut of the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֹא־נָתַןlo-na/TANdid not makeשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonעָבֶדA/vedslavesכִּי־הֵםki-hemfor they wereאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofהַמִּלְחָמָהham/mil/cha/MAwarוַעֲבָדָיוva/a/va/DAYVand his servantsוְשָׂרָיוve/sa/RAYVand his commandersוְשָׁלִישָׁיוve/sha/li/SHAYVand his officersוְשָׂרֵיve/sa/REand the commanders ofרִכְבּוֹrikh/BOhis chariotsוּפָרָשָׁיו׃u/fa/ra/SHAYVand his horsemen

    But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.

    אֵלֶּהEL/lethese wereשָׂרֵיsa/REthe chiefs ofהַנִּצָּבִיםhan/nits/tsa/VIMthe officersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereעַל־הַמְּלָאכָהal-ham/me/la/KHAover the workלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOof Solomonחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyוַחֲמֵשׁva/cha/MESHand fiveמֵאוֹתme/OThundredהָרֹדִיםha/ro/DIMwho ruledבָּעָםba/AMover the peopleהָעֹשִׂיםha/o/SIMthat didבַּמְּלָאכָה׃bam/me/la/KHAthe work

    These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.

24. 24

    אַךְakhbutבַּת־פַּרְעֹהbat-Par/Othe daughter of Pharaohעָלְתָהa/le/TAcame upמֵעִירme/IRout of the city ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidאֶל־בֵּיתָהּel-be/TAto her houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָה־לָהּba/NA-lahe had built for herאָזazthenבָּנָהba/NAhe builtאֶת־הַמִּלּוֹא׃et-Ham/mil/LOthe Millo

    But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

25. 25

    וְהֶעֱלָהve/he/e/LAand offeredשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsוּשְׁלָמִיםu/she/la/MIMand peace offeringsעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנָהba/NAhe builtלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaifor the LORDוְהַקְטֵירve/hak/TERand burned incenseאִתּוֹit/TOwith itאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְשִׁלַּםve/shil/LAMand he completedאֶת־הַבָּיִת׃et-hab/BA/yitthe house

    And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.

26. 26

    וׇאֳנִיvo/o/NIand a fleetעָשָׂהa/SAmadeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonבְּעֶצְיוֹן־גֶּבֶרbe/Ets/YON-GE/verat Ezion-geberאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isאֶת־אֵלוֹתet-E/LOTbeside Elothעַל־שְׂפַתal-se/FATon the shore ofיַם־סוּףyam-Sufthe Red Seaבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofאֱדוֹם׃E/DOMEdom

    And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Ezion-geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.

27. 27

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentחִירָםChi/RAMHiramבׇּאֳנִיbo/o/NIwith the fleetאֶת־עֲבָדָיוet-a/va/DAYVhis servantsאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofאֳנִיּוֹתo/niy/YOTshipsיֹדְעֵיyod/Ewho knewהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaעִםimwithעַבְדֵיav/DEthe servants ofשְׁלֹמֹה׃She/lo/MOSolomon

    And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

    And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
