   And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

   And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

   And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

   And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

   וּמַאֲכַלu/ma/a/KHALand the food ofשֻׁלְחָנוֹshul/cha/NOhis tableוּמוֹשַׁבu/mo/SHAVand the seating ofעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsוּמַעֲמַדu/ma/a/MADand the attendance ofמְשָׁרְתָוme/sha/re/TAVhis ministersוּמַלְבֻּשֵׁיהֶםu/mal/bu/she/HEMand their clothesוּמַשְׁקָיוu/mash/KAYVand his cup bearersוְעֹלָתוֹve/o/la/TOand his burnt offeringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַעֲלֶהya/a/LEhe offeredבֵּיתbetat the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְלֹא־הָיָהve/LO-HA/yaand there was noבָהּvain herעוֹדodmoreרוּחַ׃RU/achspirit

   And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְel-ham/ME/lekhto the kingאֱמֶתe/METtrueהָיָהha/YAwasהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI heardבְּאַרְצִיbe/ar/TSIin my own landעַל־דְּבָרֶיךָal-de/va/RE/khaof your wordsוְעַל־חׇכְמָתֶךָ׃ve/AL-chokh/ma/TE/khaand of your wisdom

   And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

   Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

   Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

   יְהִיye/HImay beיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoחָפֵץcha/FETSdelightedבְּךָbe/KHAin youלְתִתְּךָle/tit/te/KHAto set youעַל־כִּסֵּאal-kis/SEon the throne ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבְּאַהֲבַתbe/a/ha/VATbecause of the love ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוַיְשִׂימְךָvay/si/me/KHAHe has made youלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhkingלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentוּצְדָקָה׃u/tse/da/KAand righteousness

   Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

    And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

    And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe timber ofהָאַלְמֻגִּיםha/al/mug/GIMthe almugמִסְעָדmis/ADsupportsלְבֵית־יְהֹוָהle/VET-Adonaifor the house of the LORDוּלְבֵיתu/le/VETand for the house ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְכִנֹּרוֹתve/khin/no/ROTand lyresוּנְבָלִיםu/ne/va/LIMand harpsלַשָּׁרִיםlash/sha/RIMfor the singersלֹאlonotבָא־כֵןva-khencame suchעֲצֵיa/TSEtimber ofאַלְמֻגִּיםal/mug/GIMalmugוְלֹאve/LOnorנִרְאָהnir/Awas seenעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.

    וְהַמֶּלֶךְve/ham/ME/lekhand the kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonנָתַןna/TANgaveלְמַלְכַּת־שְׁבָאle/Mal/KAT-she/VAto the queen of Shebaאֶת־כׇּל־חֶפְצָהּet-kol-chef/TSAall her desireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשָׁאָלָהsha/A/lashe askedמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatנָתַן־לָהּna/TAN-lahe gave herכְּיַדke/YADaccording to the hand ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוַתֵּפֶןvat/TE/fenand she turnedוַתֵּלֶךְvat/TE/lekhand wentלְאַרְצָהּle/ar/TSAto her landהִיאhisheוַעֲבָדֶיהָ׃va/a/va/DE/haand her servants

    And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasמִשְׁקַלmish/KALthe weight ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVgoldאֲשֶׁר־בָּאa/SHER-bathat cameלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonבְּשָׁנָהbe/sha/NAin a yearאֶחָתe/CHAToneשֵׁשׁsheshsixמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוָשֵׁשׁva/SHESHand sixכִּכַּרkik/KARtalents ofזָהָב׃za/HAVgold

    Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

15. 15

    לְבַדle/VADbesidesמֵאַנְשֵׁיme/an/SHEfrom the men ofהַתָּרִיםhat/ta/RIMthe tradersוּמִסְחַרu/mis/CHARand the trade ofהָרֹכְלִיםha/rokh/LIMthe merchantsוְכׇל־מַלְכֵיve/KHOL-mal/KHEand all the kings ofהָעֶרֶבHa/E/revArabiaוּפַחוֹתu/fa/CHOTand the governors ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

16. 16

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמָאתַיִםma/TA/yimtwo hundredצִנָּהtsin/NAlarge shieldsזָהָבza/HAVof goldשָׁחוּטsha/CHUTbeatenשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹתshesh-me/OTsix hundredזָהָבza/HAVof goldיַעֲלֶהya/a/LEwentעַל־הַצִּנָּהal-hats/tsin/NAinto the large shieldהָאֶחָת׃ha/e/CHATeach

    And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

17. 17

    וּשְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאוֹתu/she/LOSH-me/OTand three hundredמָגִנִּיםma/gin/NIMshieldsזָהָבza/HAVof goldשָׁחוּטsha/CHUTbeatenשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeמָנִיםma/NIMminasזָהָבza/HAVof goldיַעֲלֶהya/a/LEwentעַל־הַמָּגֵןal-ham/ma/GENinto the shieldהָאֶחָתha/e/CHATeachוַיִּתְּנֵםvay/yit/te/NEMand put themהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingבֵּיתbetin the house ofיַעַרYA/arthe forest ofהַלְּבָנוֹן׃Hal/le/va/NONLebanon

    And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18. 18

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingכִּסֵּא־שֵׁןkis/SE-shena throne of ivoryגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוַיְצַפֵּהוּvay/tsap/PE/huand he overlaid itזָהָבza/HAVgoldמוּפָז׃mu/FAZrefined

    Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

19. 19

    שֵׁשׁsheshsixמַעֲלוֹתma/a/LOTstepsלַכִּסֵּהlak/kis/SEto the throneוְרֹאשׁ־עָגֹלve/ROSH-a/GOLand a round topלַכִּסֵּהlak/kis/SEto the throneמֵאַחֲרָיוme/a/cha/RAYVbehind itוְיָדֹתve/ya/DOTand armrestsמִזֶּהmiz/ZEon this sideוּמִזֶּהu/miz/ZEand on that sideאֶל־מְקוֹםel-me/KOMat the place ofהַשָּׁבֶתhash/SHA/vetthe seatוּשְׁנַיִםu/she/NA/yimand twoאֲרָיוֹתa/ra/YOTlionsעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהַיָּדוֹת׃hay/ya/DOTthe armrests

    The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

    וּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרu/she/NEM-a/SARand twelveאֲרָיִיםa/ra/YIMlionsעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingשָׁםshamthereעַל־שֵׁשׁal-sheshon the sixהַמַּעֲלוֹתham/ma/a/LOTthe stepsמִזֶּהmiz/ZEon this sideוּמִזֶּהu/miz/ZEand on that sideלֹא־נַעֲשָׂהlo-na/a/SAwas not madeכֵןkhensoלְכׇל־מַמְלָכוֹת׃le/KHOL-mam/la/KHOTin any kingdom

    And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

21. 21

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand allכְּלֵיke/LEthe vessels ofמַשְׁקֵהmash/KEdrinking ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְכֹלve/KHOLand allכְּלֵיke/LEthe vessels ofבֵּית־יַעַרbet-YA/arthe house of the forest ofהַלְּבָנוֹןHal/le/va/NONLebanonזָהָבza/HAVgoldסָגוּרsa/GURrefinedאֵיןennone wereכֶּסֶףKE/sefsilverלֹאlonotנֶחְשָׁבnech/SHAVwas it accountedבִּימֵיbi/MEin the days ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלִמְאוּמָה׃lim/U/maas anything

    And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

    כִּיkiforאֳנִיo/NIa fleet ofתַרְשִׁישׁTar/SHISHTarshishלַמֶּלֶךְlam/ME/lekhfor the kingבַּיָּםbay/YAMat seaעִםimwithאֳנִיo/NIthe fleet ofחִירָםChi/RAMHiramאַחַתa/CHATonceלְשָׁלֹשׁle/sha/LOSHin threeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsתָּבוֹאta/VOwould comeאֳנִיo/NIthe fleet ofתַרְשִׁישׁTar/SHISHTarshishנֹשְׂאֵתnos/ETcarryingזָהָבza/HAVgoldוָכֶסֶףva/KHE/sefand silverשֶׁנְהַבִּיםshen/hab/BIMivoryוְקֹפִיםve/ko/FIMand apesוְתֻכִּיִּים׃ve/tuk/kiy/YIMand peacocks

    For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

    וַיִּגְדַּלvay/yig/DALand was greaterהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמִכֹּלmik/KOLthan allמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלְעֹשֶׁרle/O/sherin richesוּלְחׇכְמָה׃u/le/chokh/MAand in wisdom

    So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

24. 24

    וְכׇל־הָאָרֶץve/KHOL-ha/A/retsand all the earthמְבַקְשִׁיםme/vak/SHIMsoughtאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEthe face ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאֶת־חׇכְמָתוֹet-chokh/ma/TOhis wisdomאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANthat had putאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבְּלִבּוֹ׃be/lib/BOin his heart

    And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

25. 25

    וְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand theyמְבִאִיםme/vi/IMwere bringingאִישׁishevery manמִנְחָתוֹmin/cha/TOhis presentכְּלֵיke/LEvessels ofכֶסֶףKHE/sefsilverוּכְלֵיu/khe/LEand vessels ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוּשְׂלָמוֹתu/se/la/MOTand garmentsוְנֵשֶׁקve/NE/shekand weaponsוּבְשָׂמִיםu/ve/sa/MIMand spicesסוּסִיםsu/SIMhorsesוּפְרָדִיםu/fe/ra/DIMand mulesדְּבַר־שָׁנָהde/VAR-sha/NAa matter of yearבְּשָׁנָה׃be/sha/NAby year

    And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

    וַיֶּאֱסֹףvay/ye/e/SOFand gatheredשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonרֶכֶבRE/khevchariotsוּפָרָשִׁיםu/fa/ra/SHIMand horsemenוַיְהִי־לוֹvay/HI-loand he hadאֶלֶףE/lefa thousandוְאַרְבַּע־מֵאוֹתve/ar/BA-me/OTand four hundredרֶכֶבRE/khevchariotsוּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרu/she/NEM-a/SARand twelveאֶלֶףE/lefthousandפָּרָשִׁיםpa/ra/SHIMhorsemenוַיַּנְחֵםvay/yan/CHEMand he stationed themבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהָרֶכֶבha/RE/khevthe chariotsוְעִם־הַמֶּלֶךְve/IM-ham/ME/lekhand with the kingבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

    And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand madeהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverבִּירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemכָּאֲבָנִיםka/a/va/NIMlike stonesוְאֵתve/ETandהָאֲרָזִיםha/a/ra/ZIMthe cedarsנָתַןna/TANhe madeכַּשִּׁקְמִיםkash/shik/MIMlike the sycamoresאֲשֶׁר־בַּשְּׁפֵלָהa/SHER-Bash/she/fe/LAthat are in the Shephelahלָרֹב׃la/ROVin abundance

    And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

28. 28

    וּמוֹצָאu/mo/TSAand the source ofהַסּוּסִיםhas/su/SIMthe horsesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOSolomon’sמִמִּצְרָיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimfrom Egyptוּמִקְוֵהu/Mik/VEand from Kueסֹחֲרֵיso/cha/REthe traders ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingיִקְחוּyik/CHUwould buyמִקְוֵהMik/VEfrom Kueבִּמְחִיר׃bim/CHIRfor a price

    And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

    And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
