   And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

   And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

   עֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenבָקָרva/KARcattleבְּרִאִיםbe/ri/IMfatוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyבָּקָרba/KARcattle ofרְעִיre/Ipastureוּמֵאָהu/me/Aand one hundredצֹאןtsonsheepלְבַדle/VADbesidesמֵאַיָּלme/ay/YALdeerוּצְבִיu/tse/VIand gazellesוְיַחְמוּרve/yach/MURand a roe deerוּבַרְבֻּרִיםu/var/bu/RIMand birdsאֲבוּסִים׃a/vu/SIMfattened

   Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

   For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

   וַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand dweltיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְיִשְׂרָאֵלve/Yis/ra/ELand Israelלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyאִישׁishevery manתַּחַתTA/chatunderגַּפְנוֹgaf/NOhis vineוְתַחַתve/TA/chatand underתְּאֵנָתוֹte/e/na/TOhis fig treeמִדָּןmid/DANfrom Danוְעַד־בְּאֵרve/AD-be/ERand to Beer-שָׁבַעSHA/vashebaכֹּלkolallיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofשְׁלֹמֹה׃She/lo/MOSolomon

   And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand there wereלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandאֻרְוֺתur/VOTstallsסוּסִיםsu/SIMof horsesלְמֶרְכָּבוֹle/mer/ka/VOfor his chariotsוּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרu/she/NEM-a/SARand twelveאֶלֶףE/lefthousandפָּרָשִׁים׃pa/ra/SHIMhorsemen

   And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

   וְכִלְכְּלוּve/khil/ke/LUand provided forהַנִּצָּבִיםhan/nits/tsa/VIMthe officersהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְet-ham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַקָּרֵבkol-hak/ka/REVall who came nearאֶל־שֻׁלְחַןel-shul/CHANto the table ofהַמֶּלֶךְ־שְׁלֹמֹהham/ME/lekh-she/lo/MOking Solomonאִישׁishevery manחׇדְשׁוֹchod/SHOin his monthלֹאlonotיְעַדְּרוּye/ad/de/RUthey let lackדָּבָר׃da/VARanything

   And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

   וְהַשְּׂעֹרִיםve/has/se/o/RIMand the barleyוְהַתֶּבֶןve/hat/TE/venand the strawלַסּוּסִיםlas/su/SIMfor the horsesוְלָרָכֶשׁve/la/RA/kheshand for the swift steedsיָבִאוּya/VI/uthey broughtאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereיִהְיֶה־שָּׁםyih/YE-shamit would beאִישׁishevery manכְּמִשְׁפָּטוֹ׃ke/mish/pa/TOaccording to his charge

   Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

   וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonוּתְבוּנָהu/te/vu/NAand understandingהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchמְאֹדme/ODveryוְרֹחַבve/RO/chavand breadth ofלֵבlevheartכַּחוֹלka/CHOLlike the sandאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־שְׂפַתal-se/FATon the shore ofהַיָּם׃hay/YAMthe sea

   And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

10. 10

    וַתֵּרֶבvat/TE/revand was greaterחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמֵחׇכְמַתme/chokh/MATmore than the wisdom ofכׇּל־בְּנֵי־קֶדֶםkol-be/NE-KE/demall the children of the eastוּמִכֹּלu/mik/KOLand than allחׇכְמַתchokh/MATthe wisdom ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

    וַיֶּחְכַּםvay/yech/KAMand he was wiserמִכׇּל־הָאָדָםmik/KOL-ha/a/DAMthan all menמֵאֵיתָןme/E/TANmore than Ethanהָאֶזְרָחִיha/Ez/ra/CHIthe Ezrahiteוְהֵימָןve/He/MANand Hemanוְכַלְכֹּלve/Khal/KOLand Calcolוְדַרְדַּעve/Dar/DAand Dardaבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofמָחוֹלMa/CHOLMaholוַיְהִי־שְׁמוֹvay/HI-she/MOand his name wasבְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםve/KHOL-hag/go/YIMin all the nationsסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

12. 12

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandמָשָׁלma/SHALproverbsוַיְהִיvay/HIand wereשִׁירוֹshi/ROhis songsחֲמִשָּׁהcha/mish/SHAfiveוָאָלֶף׃va/A/lefand a thousand

    And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeעַל־הָעֵצִיםal-ha/e/TSIMof the treesמִן־הָאֶרֶזmin-ha/E/rezfrom the cedarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּלְּבָנוֹןbal/Le/va/NONin Lebanonוְעַדve/ADand toהָאֵזוֹבha/e/ZOVthe hyssopאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֹצֵאyo/TSEcomes outבַּקִּירbak/KIRin the wallוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeעַל־הַבְּהֵמָהal-hab/be/he/MAof the beastsוְעַל־הָעוֹףve/AL-ha/OFand of the birdsוְעַל־הָרֶמֶשׂve/AL-ha/RE/mesand of the creeping thingsוְעַל־הַדָּגִים׃ve/AL-had/da/GIMand of the fish

    And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameמִכׇּל־הָעַמִּיםmik/KOL-ha/am/MIMfrom all the peoplesלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאֵת־חׇכְמַתet-chokh/MATthe wisdom ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמֵאֵתme/ETfromכׇּל־מַלְכֵיkol-mal/KHEall the kings ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uhad heardאֶת־חׇכְמָתוֹ׃et-chokh/ma/TOhis wisdom

    And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentחִירָםChi/RAMHiramמֶלֶךְ־צוֹרME/lekh-Tsorthe king of Tyreאֶת־עֲבָדָיוet-a/va/DAYVhis servantsאֶל־שְׁלֹמֹהel-She/lo/MOto Solomonכִּיkibecauseשָׁמַעsha/MAhe had heardכִּיkithatאֹתוֹo/TOhimמָשְׁחוּma/she/CHUthey had anointedלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekhkingתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofאָבִיהוּa/VI/huhis fatherכִּיkibecauseאֹהֵבo/HEVa loverהָיָהha/YAwasחִירָםChi/RAMHiramלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDof Davidכׇּל־הַיָּמִים׃kol-hay/ya/MIMall the days

    And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

16. 16

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonאֶל־חִירָםel-Chi/RAMto Hiramלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

17. 17

    אַתָּהat/TAyouיָדַעְתָּya/DA/taknowאֶת־דָּוִדet-Da/VIDDavidאָבִיa/VImy fatherכִּיkithatלֹאlonotיָכֹלya/KHOLhe was ableלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildבַּיִתBA/yita houseלְשֵׁםle/SHEMto the name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVhis Godמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַמִּלְחָמָהham/mil/cha/MAthe warאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatסְבָבֻהוּse/va/VU/husurrounded himעַדaduntilתֵּת־יְהֹוָהtet-Adonaithe LORD putאֹתָםo/TAMthemתַּחַתTA/chatunderכַּפּוֹתkap/POTthe soles of(רגלו)ragalav[רַגְלָי]׃rag/LAYmy feet

    Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

18. 18

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהֵנִיחַhe/NI/achhas given restיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godלִיlito meמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVall aroundאֵיןenthere is noשָׂטָןsa/TANadversaryוְאֵיןve/ENand noפֶּגַעPE/gamisfortuneרָע׃raevil

    But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

19. 19

    וְהִנְנִיve/hin/NIand behold Iאֹמֵרo/MERintendלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildבַּיִתBA/yita houseלְשֵׁםle/SHEMto the name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהָיe/lo/HAYmy Godכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־דָּוִדel-Da/VIDto Davidאָבִיa/VImy fatherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבִּנְךָbin/KHAyour sonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאֶתֵּןet/TENI will setתַּחְתֶּיךָtach/TE/khain your placeעַל־כִּסְאֶךָal-kis/E/khaupon your throneהוּא־יִבְנֶהhu-yiv/NEhe shall buildהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseלִשְׁמִי׃lish/MIfor My name

    And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

20. 20

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowצַוֵּהtsav/VEcommandוְיִכְרְתוּ־לִיve/yikh/re/TU-lithat they cut for meאֲרָזִיםa/ra/ZIMcedarsמִן־הַלְּבָנוֹןmin-Hal/le/va/NONfrom Lebanonוַעֲבָדַיva/a/va/DAYand my servantsיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beעִם־עֲבָדֶיךָim-a/va/DE/khawith your servantsוּשְׂכַרu/se/KHARand the wages ofעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלְךָle/KHAto youכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתֹּאמֵרto/MERyou sayכִּיkiforאַתָּהat/TAyouיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowכִּיkithatאֵיןenthere is noבָּנוּBA/nuamong usאִישׁisha manיֹדֵעַyo/DE/awho knowsלִכְרׇת־עֵצִיםlikh/ROT-e/TSIMto cut timberכַּצִּדֹנִים׃kats/Tsi/do/NIMlike the Sidonians

    Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּשְׁמֹעַkish/MO/awhen heardחִירָםChi/RAMHiramאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוַיִּשְׂמַחvay/yis/MACHand rejoicedמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָתַןna/TANhas givenלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDto Davidבֵּןbena sonחָכָםcha/KHAMwiseעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMover the peopleהָרָבha/RAVgreatהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

22. 22

    וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand sentחִירָםChi/RAMHiramאֶל־שְׁלֹמֹהel-She/lo/MOto Solomonלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַחְתָּet-a/SHER-sha/LACH/tawhat you sentאֵלָיe/LAYto meאֲנִיa/NIIאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEwill doאֶת־כׇּל־חֶפְצְךָet-kol-chef/tse/KHAall your desireבַּעֲצֵיba/a/TSEin timber ofאֲרָזִיםa/ra/ZIMcedarsוּבַעֲצֵיu/va/a/TSEand in timber ofבְרוֹשִׁים׃ve/ro/SHIMcypress

    And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

    עֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsיֹרִדוּyo/RI/duwill bring downמִן־הַלְּבָנוֹןmin-Hal/le/va/NONfrom LebanonיָמָּהYAM/mato the seaוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֲשִׂימֵםa/si/MEMI will make themדֹּבְרוֹתdov/ROTinto raftsבַּיָּםbay/YAMby seaעַד־הַמָּקוֹםad-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁר־תִּשְׁלַחa/SHER-tish/LACHthat you sendאֵלַיe/LAYto meוְנִפַּצְתִּיםve/nip/pats/TIMand I will break them upשָׁםshamthereוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתִשָּׂאtis/SAshall take themוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEshall doאֶת־חֶפְצִיet-chef/TSImy desireלָתֵתla/TETby givingלֶחֶםLE/chemfoodבֵּיתִי׃be/TIfor my household

    My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

24. 24

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasחִירוֹםChi/ROMHiramנֹתֵןno/TENgivingלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonעֲצֵיa/TSEtimber ofאֲרָזִיםa/ra/ZIMcedarsוַעֲצֵיva/a/TSEand timber ofבְרוֹשִׁיםve/ro/SHIMcypressכׇּל־חֶפְצוֹ׃kol-chef/TSOall his desire

    So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

25. 25

    וּשְׁלֹמֹהu/She/lo/MOand Solomonנָתַןna/TANgaveלְחִירָםle/Chi/RAMto Hiramעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandכֹּרkorcors ofחִטִּיםchit/TIMwheatמַכֹּלֶתmak/KO/letas foodלְבֵיתוֹle/ve/TOfor his householdוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyכֹּרkorcors ofשֶׁמֶןSHE/menoilכָּתִיתka/TITbeatenכֹּה־יִתֵּןko-yit/TENso gaveשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonלְחִירָםle/Chi/RAMto Hiramשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבְשָׁנָה׃ve/sha/NAby year

    And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

26. 26

    וַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDנָתַןna/TANgaveחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּר־לוֹdib/BER-loHe had spoken to himוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasשָׁלֹםsha/LOMpeaceבֵּיןbenbetweenחִירָםChi/RAMHiramוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוַיִּכְרְתוּvay/yikh/re/TUand they madeבְרִיתve/RITa covenantשְׁנֵיהֶם׃she/ne/HEMthe two of them

    And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

27. 27

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland raisedהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonמַסmasa levyמִכׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵלmik/KOL-yis/ra/ELfrom all Israelוַיְהִיvay/HIand wasהַמַּסham/MASthe levyשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandאִישׁ׃ishmen

    And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.

28. 28

    וַיִּשְׁלָחֵםvay/yish/la/CHEMand he sent themלְבָנוֹנָהle/Va/NO/nato Lebanonעֲשֶׂרֶתa/SE/rettenאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthחֲלִיפוֹתcha/li/FOTin relaysחֹדֶשׁCHO/desha monthיִהְיוּyih/YUthey wereבַלְּבָנוֹןVal/le/va/NONin Lebanonשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoחֳדָשִׁיםcho/da/SHIMmonthsבְּבֵיתוֹbe/ve/TOat his homeוַאֲדֹנִירָםva/A/do/ni/RAMand Adoniramעַל־הַמַּס׃al-ham/MASover the levy

    And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.

29. 29

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand there wereלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonשִׁבְעִיםshiv/IMseventyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandנֹשֵׂאno/SEwho boreסַבָּלsab/BALburdensוּשְׁמֹנִיםu/she/mo/NIMand eightyאֶלֶףE/lefthousandחֹצֵבcho/TSEVhewersבָּהָר׃ba/HARin the mountains

    And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;

30. 30

    לְבַדle/VADbesidesמִשָּׂרֵיmis/sa/REthe chiefs ofהַנִּצָּבִיםhan/nits/tsa/VIMthe officersלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOof Solomonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereעַל־הַמְּלָאכָהal-ham/me/la/KHAover the workשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandוּשְׁלֹשׁu/she/LOSHand threeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredהָרֹדִיםha/ro/DIMwho ruledבָּעָםba/AMover the peopleהָעֹשִׂיםha/o/SIMwho didבַּמְּלָאכָה׃bam/me/la/KHAthe work

    Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיַּסִּעוּvay/yas/si/Uand they quarriedאֲבָנִיםa/va/NIMstonesגְּדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatאֲבָנִיםa/va/NIMstonesיְקָרוֹתye/ka/ROTcostlyלְיַסֵּדle/yas/SEDto lay the foundation ofהַבָּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseאַבְנֵיav/NEstones ofגָזִית׃ga/ZIThewn

    And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

    וַיִּפְסְלוּvay/yif/se/LUand shapedבֹּנֵיbo/NEthe builders ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוּבֹנֵיu/vo/NEand the builders ofחִירוֹםChi/ROMHiramוְהַגִּבְלִיםve/hag/Giv/LIMand the Gebalitesוַיָּכִינוּvay/ya/KHI/nuand they preparedהָעֵצִיםha/e/TSIMthe timberוְהָאֲבָנִיםve/ha/a/va/NIMand the stonesלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildהַבָּיִת׃hab/BA/yitthe house

    And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
