   So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.

   Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

   And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;

   Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.

   And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

   וּמִן־בְּנֵי־זֶרַחu/MIN-be/NE-ZE/rachand of the sons of ZerahיְעוּאֵלYe/u/ELJeuelוַאֲחֵיהֶםva/a/che/HEMand their brothersשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹתshesh-me/OTsix hundredוְתִשְׁעִים׃ve/tish/IMand ninety

   And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

   And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,

   And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.

    And of the priests; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,

    And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;

    And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasiai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

    And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

    And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

    And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

    וְעֹבַדְיָהve/O/vad/YAand Obadiahבֶּן־שְׁמַעְיָהben-She/ma/YAthe son of Shemaiahבֶּן־גָּלָלben-Ga/LALthe son of Galalבֶּן־יְדוּתוּןben-Ye/du/TUNthe son of Jeduthunוּבֶרֶכְיָהu/Ve/rekh/YAand Berechiahבֶן־אָסָאven-A/SAthe son of Asaבֶּן־אֶלְקָנָהben-El/ka/NAthe son of Elkanahהַיּוֹשֵׁבhay/yo/SHEVwho dweltבְּחַצְרֵיbe/chats/REin the villages ofנְטוֹפָתִי׃Ne/to/fa/TIthe Netophathites

    And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

    וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםve/hash/sho/a/RIMand the gatekeepersשַׁלּוּםShal/LUMShallumוְעַקּוּבve/Ak/KUVand Akkubוְטַלְמֹןve/Tal/MONand Talmonוַאֲחִימָןva/A/chi/MANand Ahimanוַאֲחִיהֶםva/a/chi/HEMand their brothersשַׁלּוּםShal/LUMShallumהָרֹאשׁ׃ha/ROSHthe chief

    And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chief;

18. 18

    וְעַד־הֵנָּהve/AD-HEN/naand until nowבְּשַׁעַרbe/SHA/arin the gate ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardהֵמָּהHEM/mathey wereהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםhash/sho/a/RIMthe gatekeepersלְמַחֲנוֹתle/ma/cha/NOTfor the camps ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofלֵוִי׃Le/VILevi

    Who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.

    וְשַׁלּוּםve/Shal/LUMand Shallumבֶּן־קוֹרֵאben-Ko/REthe son of Koreבֶּן־אֶבְיָסָףben-Ev/ya/SAFthe son of Ebiasaphבֶּן־קֹרַחben-KO/rachthe son of Korahוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersלְבֵית־אָבִיוle/VET-a/VIVof the house of his fatherהַקׇּרְחִיםhak/Kor/CHIMthe Korahitesעַלalwere overמְלֶאכֶתme/LE/khetthe work ofהָעֲבוֹדָהha/a/vo/DAthe serviceשֹׁמְרֵיshom/REkeepers ofהַסִּפִּיםhas/sip/PIMthe thresholdsלָאֹהֶלla/O/helof the tentוַאֲבֹתֵיהֶםva/a/vo/te/HEMand their fathersעַל־מַחֲנֵהal-ma/cha/NEover the camp ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשֹׁמְרֵיshom/REkeepers ofהַמָּבוֹא׃ham/ma/VOthe entry

    And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.

    וּפִינְחָסu/Fi/ne/CHASand Phinehasבֶּן־אֶלְעָזָרben-El/a/ZARthe son of Eleazarנָגִידna/GIDthe rulerהָיָהha/YAwasעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themלְפָנִיםle/fa/NIMin time pastיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORD wasעִמּוֹ׃im/MOwith him

    And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.

21. 21

    זְכַרְיָהZe/khar/YAZechariahבֶּןbenthe son ofמְשֶׁלֶמְיָהMe/she/lem/YAMeshelemiahשֹׁעֵרsho/ERwas gatekeeper ofפֶּתַחPE/tachthe entrance ofלְאֹהֶלle/O/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

    And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22. 22

    כֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themהַבְּרוּרִיםhab/be/ru/RIMwho were chosenלְשֹׁעֲרִיםle/sho/a/RIMas gatekeepersבַּסִּפִּיםbas/sip/PIMat the thresholdsמָאתַיִםma/TA/yimtwo hundredוּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרu/she/NEM-a/SARand twelveהֵמָּהHEM/matheyבְחַצְרֵיהֶםve/chats/re/HEMin their villagesהִתְיַחְשָׂםhit/yach/SAMwere enrolledהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיִסַּדyis/SADappointedדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidוּשְׁמוּאֵלu/She/mu/ELand Samuelהָרֹאֶהha/ro/Ethe seerבֶּאֱמוּנָתָם׃be/e/mu/na/TAMin their trust

    All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.

    וְהֵםve/HEMso theyוּבְנֵיהֶםu/ve/ne/HEMand their sonsעַל־הַשְּׁעָרִיםal-hash/she/a/RIMover the gatesלְבֵית־יְהֹוָהle/VET-Adonaiof the house of the LORDלְבֵיתle/VETof the house ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentלְמִשְׁמָרוֹת׃le/mish/ma/ROTby watches

    So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.

24. 24

    לְאַרְבַּעle/ar/BAon fourרוּחוֹתru/CHOTsidesיִהְיוּyih/YUwereהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםhash/sho/a/RIMthe gatekeepersמִזְרָחmiz/RACHeastיָמָּהYAM/mawestצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthוָנֶגְבָּה׃va/NEG/baand south

    In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

25. 25

    וַאֲחֵיהֶםva/a/che/HEMand their brothersבְּחַצְרֵיהֶםbe/chats/re/HEMin their villagesלָבוֹאla/VOwere to comeלְשִׁבְעַתle/shiv/ATfor sevenהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMdaysמֵעֵתme/ETfrom timeאֶל־עֵתel-etto timeעִם־אֵלֶּה׃im-EL/lewith these

    And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.

26. 26

    כִּיkiforבֶאֱמוּנָהve/e/mu/NAin trustהֵמָּהHEM/mawere theyאַרְבַּעַתar/BA/atthe fourגִּבֹּרֵיgib/bo/REthe mighty ofהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםhash/sho/a/RIMthe gatekeepersהֵםhemthey areהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand wereעַל־הַלְּשָׁכוֹתal-hal/le/sha/KHOTover the chambersוְעַלve/ALand overהָאֹצְרוֹתha/ots/ROTthe treasuries ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

27. 27

    וּסְבִיבוֹתu/se/vi/VOTand aroundבֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִיםbet-ha/e/lo/HIMthe house of Godיָלִינוּya/LI/nuthey lodgedכִּי־עֲלֵיהֶםki-a/le/HEMfor on them wasמִשְׁמֶרֶתmish/ME/retthe watchוְהֵםve/HEMand they wereעַל־הַמַּפְתֵּחַal-ham/maf/TE/achover the keyוְלַבֹּקֶרve/lab/BO/kerand morningלַבֹּקֶר׃lab/BO/kerby morning

    And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.

28. 28

    וּמֵהֶםu/me/HEMand some of them wereעַל־כְּלֵיal-ke/LEover the vessels ofהָעֲבוֹדָהha/a/vo/DAthe serviceכִּי־בְמִסְפָּרki-ve/mis/PARfor by countיְבִיאוּםye/vi/UMthey should bring them inוּבְמִסְפָּרu/ve/mis/PARand by countיוֹצִיאוּם׃yo/tsi/UMthey took them out

    And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.

29. 29

    וּמֵהֶםu/me/HEMand some of themמְמֻנִּיםme/mun/NIMwere appointedעַל־הַכֵּלִיםal-hak/ke/LIMover the vesselsוְעַלve/ALand overכׇּל־כְּלֵיkol-ke/LEall the instruments ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshthe sanctuaryוְעַל־הַסֹּלֶתve/AL-has/SO/letand the fine flourוְהַיַּיִןve/hay/YA/yinand the wineוְהַשֶּׁמֶןve/hash/SHE/menand the oilוְהַלְּבוֹנָהve/hal/le/vo/NAand the frankincenseוְהַבְּשָׂמִים׃ve/hab/be/sa/MIMand the spices

    Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30. 30

    וּמִן־בְּנֵיu/MIN-be/NEand from the sons ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsרֹקְחֵיrok/CHEmixers ofהַמִּרְקַחַתham/mir/KA/chatthe ointmentלַבְּשָׂמִים׃lab/be/sa/MIMof the spices

    And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.

31. 31

    וּמַתִּתְיָהu/Mat/tit/YAand Mattithiahמִן־הַלְוִיִּםmin-Hal/viy/YIMof the Levitesהוּאhuhe wasהַבְּכוֹרhab/be/KHORthe firstbornלְשַׁלֻּםle/Shal/LUMof Shallumהַקׇּרְחִיhak/Kor/CHIthe Korahiteבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAin trustעַלaloverמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe making ofהַחֲבִתִּים׃ha/cha/vit/TIMthe flat cakes

    And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.

32. 32

    וּמִן־בְּנֵיu/MIN-be/NEand of the sons ofהַקְּהָתִיhak/Ke/ha/TIthe Kohathitesמִן־אֲחֵיהֶםmin-a/che/HEMof their brothersעַל־לֶחֶםal-LE/chemwere over the bread ofהַמַּעֲרָכֶתham/ma/a/RA/khetthe arrangementלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareשַׁבַּתshab/BATsabbathשַׁבָּת׃shab/BATby sabbath

    And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

33. 33

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseהַמְשֹׁרְרִיםham/shor/RIMare the singersרָאשֵׁיra/SHEheads ofאָבוֹתa/VOTfathersלַלְוִיִּםLal/viy/YIMof the Levitesבַּלְּשָׁכֹתbal/le/sha/KHOTin the chambers[פְּטוּרִים]pe/tu/RIMexemptכִּי־יוֹמָםki-yo/MAMfor dayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMwas on themבַּמְּלָאכָה׃bam/me/la/KHAthe work

    And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.

    These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.

    וּבְגִבְעוֹןu/ve/Giv/ONand in Gibeonיָשְׁבוּya/she/VUdweltאֲבִי־גִבְעוֹןa/VI-Giv/ONthe father of Gibeon(יעואל)yvl[יְעִיאֵל]Ye/i/ELJeielוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeמַעֲכָה׃Ma/a/KHAMaachah

    And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name was Maachah:

    And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

    וּגְדוֹרu/Ge/DORand Gedorוְאַחְיוֹve/Ach/YOand Ahioוּזְכַרְיָהu/Ze/khar/YAand Zechariahוּמִקְלוֹת׃u/Mik/LOTand Mikloth

    And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

    And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.

    וְנֵרve/NERand Nerהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־קִישׁet-KishKishוְקִישׁve/KISHand Kishהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־שָׁאוּלet-Sha/ULSaulוְשָׁאוּלve/Sha/ULand Saulהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־יְהוֹנָתָןet-Ye/ho/na/TANJonathanוְאֶת־מַלְכִּישׁוּעַve/ET-mal/ki/SHU/aand Malchi-shuaוְאֶת־אֲבִינָדָבve/ET-a/vi/na/DAVand Abinadabוְאֶת־אֶשְׁבָּעַל׃ve/ET-esh/BA/aland Esh-baal

    And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

40. 40

    וּבֶן־יְהוֹנָתָןu/VEN-ye/ho/na/TANand the son of JonathanמְרִיבMe/RIVMerib-בָּעַלBA/albaalוּמְרִי־בַעַלu/Me/RI-VA/aland Meri-baalהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־מִיכָה׃et-Mi/KHAMicah

    And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begat Micah.

41. 41

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofמִיכָהMi/KHAMicahפִּיתֹןPi/TONPithonוָמֶלֶךְva/ME/lekhand Melechוְתַחְרֵעַ׃ve/Tach/RE/aand Tahrea

    And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.

    וְאָחָזve/A/CHAZand Ahazהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־יַעְרָהet-Ya/RAJarahוְיַעְרָהve/Ya/RAand Jarahהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־עָלֶמֶתet-A/LE/metAlemethוְאֶת־עַזְמָוֶתve/ET-az/MA/vetand Azmavethוְאֶת־זִמְרִיve/ET-zim/RIand Zimriוְזִמְרִיve/Zim/RIand Zimriהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־מוֹצָא׃et-Mo/TSAMoza

    And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;

43. 43

    וּמוֹצָאu/Mo/TSAand Mozaהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־בִּנְעָאet-Bin/ABineaוּרְפָיָהu/Re/fa/YAand Rephaiahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonאֶלְעָשָׂהEl/a/SAEleasahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonאָצֵלA/TSELAzelבְּנוֹ׃be/NOhis son

    And Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

44. 44

    וּלְאָצֵלu/Le/a/TSELand to Azelשִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixבָנִיםva/NIMsonsוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁמוֹתָםshe/mo/TAMtheir namesעַזְרִיקָםAz/ri/KAMAzrikamבֹּכְרוּBOKH/ruBocheruוְיִשְׁמָעֵאלve/Yish/ma/ELand Ishmaelוּשְׁעַרְיָהu/She/ar/YAand Sheariahוְעֹבַדְיָהve/O/vad/YAand Obadiahוְחָנָןve/Cha/NANand HananאֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָצַל׃A/TSALAzel

    And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
