   And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.

   Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

   וְהָאֱלֹהִיםve/ha/e/lo/HIMbut Godאָמַרa/MARsaidלִיlito meלֹא־תִבְנֶהlo-tiv/NEyou shall not buildבַיִתVA/yita houseלִשְׁמִיlish/MIfor My nameכִּיkiforאִישׁisha man ofמִלְחָמוֹתmil/cha/MOTwarsאַתָּהat/TAyou areוְדָמִיםve/da/MIMand bloodשָׁפָכְתָּ׃sha/FAKH/tayou have shed

   But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.

   Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

   And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

6. 6

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand He saidלִיlito meשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonבִנְךָvin/KHAyour sonהוּא־יִבְנֶהhu-yiv/NEhe shall buildבֵיתִיve/TIMy houseוַחֲצֵרוֹתָיva/cha/tse/ro/TAYand My courtsכִּי־בָחַרְתִּיki-va/CHAR/tifor I have chosenבוֹvohimלִיlifor Meלְבֵןle/VENas a sonוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶהְיֶה־לּוֹeh/YE-lowill be to himלְאָב׃le/AVa father

   And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

   וַהֲכִינוֹתִיva/ha/khi/no/TIand I will establishאֶת־מַלְכוּתוֹet-mal/khu/TOhis kingdomעַד־לְעוֹלָםad-le/o/LAMforeverאִם־יֶחֱזַקim-ye/che/ZAKif he is strongלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doמִצְוֺתַיmits/vo/TAYMy commandmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטַיu/mish/pa/TAYand My ordinancesכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMas dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

8. 8

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלkhol-Yis/ra/ELall Israelקְהַל־יְהֹוָהke/HAL-Adonaithe assembly of the LORDוּבְאׇזְנֵיu/ve/oz/NEand in the ears ofאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godשִׁמְרוּshim/RUkeepוְדִרְשׁוּve/dir/SHUand seekכׇּל־מִצְוֺתkol-mits/VOTall the commandments ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּירְשׁוּti/re/SHUyou may possessאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landהַטּוֹבָהhat/to/VAgoodוְהִנְחַלְתֶּםve/hin/chal/TEMand leave it as inheritanceלִבְנֵיכֶםliv/ne/KHEMto your sonsאַחֲרֵיכֶםa/cha/re/KHEMafter youעַד־עוֹלָם׃ad-o/LAMforever

   Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youשְׁלֹמֹה־בְנִיShe/lo/MO-ve/NISolomon my sonדַּעdaknowאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיet-e/lo/HEthe God ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherוְעׇבְדֵהוּve/ov/DE/huand serve Himבְּלֵבbe/LEVwith a heartשָׁלֵםsha/LEMwholeוּבְנֶפֶשׁu/ve/NE/feshand with a soulחֲפֵצָהcha/fe/TSAwillingכִּיkiforכׇל־לְבָבוֹתkhol-le/va/VOTall heartsדּוֹרֵשׁdo/RESHsearchesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְכׇל־יֵצֶרve/KHOL-YE/tserand every intent ofמַחֲשָׁבוֹתma/cha/sha/VOTthe thoughtsמֵבִיןme/VINunderstandsאִם־תִּדְרְשֶׁנּוּim-tid/re/SHEN/nuif you seek Himיִמָּצֵאyim/ma/TSEHe will be foundלָךְlakhby youוְאִם־תַּעַזְבֶנּוּve/IM-ta/az/VEN/nubut if you forsake Himיַזְנִיחֲךָyaz/ni/cha/KHAHe will cast you offלָעַד׃la/ADforever

   And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

    Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

11. 11

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonבְנוֹve/NOhis sonאֶת־תַּבְנִיתet-tav/NITthe pattern ofהָאוּלָםha/u/LAMthe porchוְאֶת־בָּתָּיוve/ET-bat/TAYVand of its housesוְגַנְזַכָּיוve/gan/zak/KAYVand its treasuriesוַעֲלִיֹּתָיוva/a/liy/yo/TAYVand its upper roomsוַחֲדָרָיוva/cha/da/RAYVand its chambersהַפְּנִימִיםhap/pe/ni/MIMthe innerוּבֵיתu/VETand the house ofהַכַּפֹּרֶת׃hak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seat

    Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,

12. 12

    וְתַבְנִיתve/tav/NITand the pattern ofכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיָהha/YAwasבָרוּחַva/RU/achin the spiritעִמּוֹim/MOwith himלְחַצְרוֹתle/chats/ROTfor the courts ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDוּלְכׇל־הַלְּשָׁכוֹתu/le/KHOL-hal/le/sha/KHOTand of all the chambersסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutלְאֹצְרוֹתle/ots/ROTof the treasuries ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוּלְאֹצְרוֹתu/le/ots/ROTand of the treasuries ofהַקֳּדָשִׁים׃hak/ko/da/SHIMthe holy things

    And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:

13. 13

    וּלְמַחְלְקוֹתu/le/mach/le/KOTand for the divisions ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesוּלְכׇל־מְלֶאכֶתu/le/KHOL-me/LE/khetand of all the work ofעֲבוֹדַתa/vo/DATthe service ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDוּלְכׇל־כְּלֵיu/le/KHOL-ke/LEand of all the vessels ofעֲבוֹדַתa/vo/DATthe service ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָה׃bet-Adonaithe house of the LORD

    Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.

14. 14

    לַזָּהָבlaz/za/HAVof the goldבַּמִּשְׁקָלbam/mish/KALby weightלַזָּהָבlaz/za/HAVfor goldלְכׇל־כְּלֵיle/KHOL-ke/LEfor all the vessels ofעֲבוֹדָהa/vo/DAserviceוַעֲבוֹדָהva/a/vo/DAand serviceלְכֹלle/KHOLfor allכְּלֵיke/LEthe vessels ofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe silverבְּמִשְׁקָלbe/mish/KALby weightלְכׇל־כְּלֵיle/KHOL-ke/LEfor all the vessels ofעֲבוֹדָהa/vo/DAserviceוַעֲבוֹדָה׃va/a/vo/DAand service

    He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:

    וּמִשְׁקָלu/mish/KALand the weightלִמְנֹרוֹתlim/no/ROTfor the lampstands ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVthe goldוְנֵרֹתֵיהֶםve/ne/ro/te/HEMand their lampsזָהָבza/HAVgoldבְּמִשְׁקַל־מְנוֹרָהbe/mish/KAL-me/no/RAby the weight of each lampstandוּמְנוֹרָהu/me/no/RAand a lampstandוְנֵרֹתֶיהָve/ne/ro/TE/haand its lampsוְלִמְנֹרוֹתve/lim/no/ROTand of the lampstands ofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe silverבְּמִשְׁקָלbe/mish/KALby weightלִמְנוֹרָהlim/no/RAfor a lampstandוְנֵרֹתֶיהָve/ne/ro/TE/haand its lampsכַּעֲבוֹדַתka/a/vo/DATaccording to the use ofמְנוֹרָהme/no/RAa lampstandוּמְנוֹרָה׃u/me/no/RAand a lampstand

    Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.

    וְאֶת־הַזָּהָבve/ET-haz/za/HAVand the goldמִשְׁקָלmish/KALby weightלְשֻׁלְחֲנוֹתle/shul/cha/NOTfor the tables ofהַמַּעֲרֶכֶתham/ma/a/RE/khetthe arrangementלְשֻׁלְחַןle/shul/CHANfor tableוְשֻׁלְחָןve/shul/CHANand tableוְכֶסֶףve/KHE/sefand silverלְשֻׁלְחֲנוֹתle/shul/cha/NOTfor the tables ofהַכָּסֶף׃hak/KA/sefthe silver

    And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:

17. 17

    וְהַמִּזְלָגוֹתve/ham/miz/la/GOTand the forksוְהַמִּזְרָקוֹתve/ham/miz/ra/KOTand the basinsוְהַקְּשָׂוֺתve/hak/ke/sa/VOTand the jugsזָהָבza/HAVgoldטָהוֹרta/HORpureוְלִכְפוֹרֵיve/likh/fo/REand for the bowls ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVthe goldבְּמִשְׁקָלbe/mish/KALby weightלִכְפוֹרlikh/FORfor a bowlוּכְפוֹרu/khe/FORand bowlוְלִכְפוֹרֵיve/likh/fo/REand for the bowls ofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe silverבְּמִשְׁקָלbe/mish/KALby weightלִכְפוֹרlikh/FORfor a bowlוּכְפוֹר׃u/khe/FORand bowl

    Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:

    וּלְמִזְבַּחu/le/miz/BACHand for the altar ofהַקְּטֹרֶתhak/ke/TO/retthe incenseזָהָבza/HAVgoldמְזֻקָּקme/zuk/KAKrefinedבַּמִּשְׁקָלbam/mish/KALby weightוּלְתַבְנִיתu/le/tav/NITand for the pattern ofהַמֶּרְכָּבָהham/mer/ka/VAthe chariotהַכְּרוּבִיםhak/ke/ru/VIMthe cherubimזָהָבza/HAVgoldלְפֹרְשִׂיםle/for/SIMspreading outוְסֹכְכִיםve/sokh/KHIMand coveringעַל־אֲרוֹןal-a/RONover the ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָה׃be/RIT-Adonaithe covenant of the LORD

    And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

    הַכֹּלhak/KOLallבִּכְתָבbikh/TAVin writingמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעָלַיa/LAYupon meהִשְׂכִּילhis/KILHe made me understandכֹּלkolallמַלְאֲכוֹתmal/a/KHOTthe works ofהַתַּבְנִית׃hat/tav/NITthis pattern

    All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidלִשְׁלֹמֹהLish/lo/MOto Solomonבְנוֹve/NOhis sonחֲזַקcha/ZAKbe strongוֶאֱמַץve/e/MATSand be courageousוַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand actאַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAdo not fearוְאַל־תֵּחָתve/AL-te/CHATand do not be dismayedכִּיkiforיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godעִמָּךְim/MAKHis with youלֹאlonotיַרְפְּךָyar/pe/KHAwill He fail youוְלֹאve/LOnorיַעַזְבֶךָּya/az/VEK/kaforsake youעַד־לִכְלוֹתad-likh/LOTuntil finishedכׇּל־מְלֶאכֶתkol-me/LE/khetall the work ofעֲבוֹדַתa/vo/DATthe service ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָה׃bet-Adonaithe house of the LORD

    And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

21. 21

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdמַחְלְקוֹתmach/le/KOTthe divisions ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesלְכׇל־עֲבוֹדַתle/KHOL-a/vo/DATfor all the service ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְעִמְּךָve/im/me/KHAand with youבְכׇל־מְלָאכָהve/KHOL-me/la/KHAin all the workלְכׇל־נָדִיבle/KHOL-na/DIVevery willingבַּחׇכְמָהba/chokh/MAin wisdomלְכׇל־עֲבוֹדָהle/KHOL-a/vo/DAfor every serviceוְהַשָּׂרִיםve/has/sa/RIMand the officialsוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleלְכׇל־דְּבָרֶיךָ׃le/KHOL-de/va/RE/khafor all your words

    And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
