   Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

   Moreover the sons of Obed-edom were, Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,

   Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him.

   Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.

   The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

   All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obed-edom.

   וְלִמְשֶׁלֶמְיָהוּve/Lim/she/lem/YA/huand Meshelemiah hadבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוְאַחִיםve/a/CHIMand brothersבְּנֵי־חָיִלbe/NE-CHA/yilsons of valorשְׁמוֹנָה־עָשָׂר׃she/mo/NA-a/SAReighteen

   And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

    וּלְחֹסָהu/Le/cho/SAand Hosah hadמִן־בְּנֵי־מְרָרִיmin-Be/NE-me/ra/RIof the sons of Merariבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsשִׁמְרִיShim/RIShimriהָרֹאשׁha/ROSHthe chiefכִּיkiforלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthough he was notבְכוֹרve/KHORthe firstbornוַיְשִׂימֵהוּvay/si/ME/hubut made himאָבִיהוּa/VI/huhis fatherלְרֹאשׁ׃le/ROSHthe chief

    Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)

    Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.

    Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

13. 13

    וַיַּפִּילוּvay/yap/PI/luand they castגוֹרָלוֹתgo/ra/LOTlotsכַּקָּטֹןkak/ka/TONsmallכַּגָּדוֹלkag/ga/DOLas greatלְבֵיתle/VETby the house ofאֲבוֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersלְשַׁעַרle/SHA/arfor gateוָשָׁעַר׃va/SHA/arand gate

    And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

14. 14

    וַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellהַגּוֹרָלhag/go/RALthe lotמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardלְשֶׁלֶמְיָהוּle/She/lem/YA/huto Shelemiahוּזְכַרְיָהוּu/Ze/khar/YA/huand Zechariahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonיוֹעֵץyo/ETSa counselorבְּשֶׂכֶלbe/SE/khelwith insightהִפִּילוּhip/PI/luthey castגּוֹרָלוֹתgo/ra/LOTlotsוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outגוֹרָלוֹgo/ra/LOhis lotצָפוֹנָה׃tsa/FO/nanorthward

    And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

    לְעֹבֵדle/O/VEDto Obed-אֱדֹםe/DOMedomנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthwardוּלְבָנָיוu/le/va/NAYVand to his sonsבֵּיתbetthe house ofהָאֲסֻפִּים׃ha/a/sup/PIMthe storehouses

    To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

16. 16

    לְשֻׁפִּיםle/Shup/PIMto Shuppimוּלְחֹסָהu/Le/cho/SAand to Hosahלַמַּעֲרָבlam/ma/a/RAVwestwardעִםimwithשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate ofשַׁלֶּכֶתShal/LE/khetShallekethבַּמְסִלָּהbam/sil/LAby the causewayהָעוֹלָהha/o/LAgoing upמִשְׁמָרmish/MARwatchלְעֻמַּתle/um/MATcorresponding toמִשְׁמָר׃mish/MARwatch

    To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.

    לַמִּזְרָחlam/miz/RACHto the eastהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesשִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixלַצָּפוֹנָהlats/tsa/FO/nato the northלַיּוֹםlay/YOMa dayאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourלַנֶּגְבָּהlan/NEG/bato the southלַיּוֹםlay/YOMa dayאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourוְלָאֲסֻפִּיםve/la/a/sup/PIMand for the storehousesשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoשְׁנָיִם׃she/NA/yimby two

    Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.

    לַפַּרְבָּרlap/Par/BARfor the Parbarלַמַּעֲרָבlam/ma/a/RAVwestwardאַרְבָּעָהar/ba/Afourלַמְסִלָּהlam/sil/LAat the causewayשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoלַפַּרְבָּר׃lap/Par/BARat the Parbar

    At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

19. 19

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseמַחְלְקוֹתmach/le/KOTthe divisions ofהַשֹּׁעֲרִיםhash/sho/a/RIMthe gatekeepersלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the sons ofהַקׇּרְחִיhak/Kor/CHIthe Korahitesוְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand of the sons ofמְרָרִי׃Me/ra/RIMerari

    These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.

20. 20

    וְהַלְוִיִּםVe/hal/viy/YIMand of the LevitesאֲחִיָּהA/chiy/YAAhijahעַל־אוֹצְרוֹתal-ots/ROTwas over the treasuries ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוּלְאֹצְרוֹתu/le/ots/ROTand over the treasuries ofהַקֳּדָשִׁים׃hak/ko/da/SHIMthe holy things

    And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

    בְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofלַעְדָּןLa/DANLaadanבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּיhag/Ger/shun/NIthe Gershoniteלְלַעְדָּןle/La/DANof Laadanרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe heads ofהָאָבוֹתha/a/VOTthe fathersלְלַעְדָּןle/La/DANof Laadanהַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּיhag/Ger/shun/NIthe Gershoniteיְחִיאֵלִי׃Ye/chi/e/LIJehieli

    As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.

    בְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיְחִיאֵלִיYe/chi/e/LIJehieliזֵתָםZe/TAMZethamוְיוֹאֵלve/Yo/ELand Joelאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherעַל־אֹצְרוֹתal-ots/ROTwere over the treasuries ofבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

23. 23

    לַעַמְרָמִיla/Am/ra/MIof the Amramitesלַיִּצְהָרִיlay/Yits/ha/RIof the Izharitesלַחֶבְרוֹנִיla/Chev/ro/NIof the Hebronitesלָעׇזִּיאֵלִי׃la/Oz/zi/e/LIof the Uzzielites

    Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:

24. 24

    וּשְׁבֻאֵלu/She/vu/ELand Shebuelבֶּן־גֵּרְשׁוֹםben-Ger/SHOMthe son of Gershomבֶּן־מֹשֶׁהben-Mo/SHEthe son of Mosesנָגִידna/GIDwas leaderעַל־הָאֹצָרוֹת׃al-ha/o/tsa/ROTover the treasuries

    And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.

25. 25

    וְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersלֶאֱלִיעֶזֶרLe/e/li/E/zerof EliezerרְחַבְיָהוּRe/chav/YA/huRehabiahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonוִישַׁעְיָהוּVi/sha/YA/huand Jeshaiahבְנוֹve/NOhis sonוְיֹרָםve/Yo/RAMand Joramבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonוְזִכְרִיve/Zikh/RIand Zichriבְנוֹve/NOhis son(ושלמות)vashalamavat[וּשְׁלֹמִית]U/she/lo/MITand Shelomithבְּנוֹ׃be/NOhis son

    And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

    הוּאhuthisשְׁלֹמוֹתShe/lo/MOTShelomothוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersעַלalwere overכׇּל־אֹצְרוֹתkol-ots/ROTall the treasuries ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMthe dedicated thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהִקְדִּישׁhik/DISHhad dedicatedדָּוִידDa/VIDDavidהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְרָאשֵׁיve/ra/SHEand the heads ofהָאָבוֹתha/a/VOTthe fathersלְשָׂרֵי־הָאֲלָפִיםle/sa/RE-ha/a/la/FIMthe commanders of thousandsוְהַמֵּאוֹתve/ham/me/OTand hundredsוְשָׂרֵיve/sa/REand the commanders ofהַצָּבָא׃hats/tsa/VAthe army

    Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

    מִן־הַמִּלְחָמוֹתmin-ham/mil/cha/MOTfrom the warsוּמִן־הַשָּׁלָלu/MIN-hash/sha/LALand from the spoilהִקְדִּישׁוּhik/DI/shuthey dedicatedלְחַזֵּקle/chaz/ZEKto repairלְבֵיתle/VETthe house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

28. 28

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand allהַהִקְדִּישׁha/hik/DISHthat had dedicatedשְׁמוּאֵלShe/mu/ELSamuelהָרֹאֶהha/ro/Ethe seerוְשָׁאוּלve/Sha/ULand Saulבֶּן־קִישׁben-Kishthe son of Kishוְאַבְנֵרve/Av/NERand Abnerבֶּן־נֵרben-Nerthe son of Nerוְיוֹאָבve/Yo/AVand Joabבֶּן־צְרוּיָהben-Tse/ru/YAthe son of Zeruiahכֹּלkolallהַמַּקְדִּישׁham/mak/DISHthat anyone dedicatedעַלalwas underיַד־שְׁלֹמִיתyad-She/lo/MITthe hand of Shelomithוְאֶחָיו׃ve/e/CHAYVand his brothers

    And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

    Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

    And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.

    Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

    And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.
