   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youפֹּהpohere isחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomלָדַעַתla/DA/atwhereby you may knowאֵיךְekhhowלִנְהֹגlin/HOGto actבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARconcerning matterהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiforנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁר־הַיָּתֵדa/SHER-hay/ya/TEDthat stakeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָסַדְתִּיya/sad/TII setלְחֹזֶקle/CHO/zekfor the strengthצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionתֵּחָזֵק׃te/cha/ZEKshould be made strong

   Behold, I say unto you, here is wisdom, whereby ye may know how to act concerning this matter, for it is expedient in me that this stake that I have set for the strength of Zion should be made strong.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיִפְקֹדyif/KODlet take chargeעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantנְיוּאֶלNe/yu/ELNewelק.kKוִיטְנִיVi/te/NIWhitneyאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMof the placeהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAwhich is namedבֵינֵיכֶםve/ne/KHEMamong youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERupon whichעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI designלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildאֶת־בֵּיתִיet-be/TImy houseהַקָּדוֹשׁ׃hak/ka/DOSHholy

   Therefore, let my servant Newel K. Whitney take charge of the place which is named among you, upon which I design to build mine holy house.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againיֵחָלֵקye/cha/LEKlet it be dividedלְמִגְרָשׁוֹתle/mig/ra/SHOTinto lotsכְּחׇכְמָהke/chokh/MAaccording to wisdomלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the benefitהַמְבַקְשִׁיםham/vak/SHIMof those who seekנַחֲלוֹתna/cha/LOTinheritancesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִקָּבַעyik/ka/VAit shall be determinedבַּסּוֹדbas/SODin councilבֵּינֵיכֶם׃be/ne/KHEMamong you

   And again, let it be divided into lots, according to wisdom, for the benefit of those who seek inheritances, as it shall be determined in council among you.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUtake heedלִרְאוֹתlir/OTthat you see toלַדָּבָרlad/da/VARmatterהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלַחֵלֶקve/la/CHE/lekand portionהַנָּחוּץhan/na/CHUTSthat is necessaryלְהוֹעִילle/ho/ILto benefitלְסִדְרִיle/sid/RImy orderלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIfor the purpose of bringing forthדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the childrenאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

   Therefore, take heed that ye see to this matter, and that portion that is necessary to benefit mine order, for the purpose of bringing forth my word to the children of men.

   כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youזֶהzethis isהַנָּכוֹןhan/na/KHONthe expedientבְּיוֹתֵרbe/yo/TERmostבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵאa/SHER-ye/TSEthat should go forthדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordלִבְנֵיliv/NEunto the childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menלְהַכְנִיעַle/hakh/NI/afor the purpose of subduingלְבָבוֹתle/va/VOTthe heartsבְּנֵיbe/NEof the childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menלְטוֹבַתְכֶםle/to/vat/KHEMfor your goodכֵּןkeneven soאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   For behold, verily I say unto you, this is the most expedient in me, that my word should go forth unto the children of men, for the purpose of subduing the hearts of the children of men for your good. Even so. Amen.

   And again, verily I say unto you, it is wisdom and expedient in me, that my servant John Johnson whose offering I have accepted, and whose prayers I have heard, unto whom I give a promise of eternal life inasmuch as he keepeth my commandments from henceforth—

   כִּיkiforמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raa descendantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFof Josephהוּאhuhe isוְשֻׁתָּףve/shut/TAFand a partakerבְּבִרְכוֹתbe/vir/KHOTof the blessingsהַהַבְטָחָהha/hav/ta/CHAof the promiseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas madeלַאֲבוֹתָיו׃la/a/vo/TAYVunto his fathers

   For he is a descendant of Joseph and a partaker of the blessings of the promise made unto his fathers—

   אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶהa/SHER-yih/YEthat he should becomeלְאֵבֶרle/E/vera memberבַּסֵּדֶרbas/SE/derof the orderלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַעֲזֹרya/a/ZORhe may assistלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIin bringing forthדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordלִבְנֵיliv/NEunto the childrenאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

   Verily I say unto you, it is expedient in me that he should become a member of the order, that he may assist in bringing forth my word unto the children of men.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeתִּסְמְכוּהוּtis/me/khu/HUyou shall ordain himלַבְּרָכָהlab/be/ra/KHAunto blessingהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְיִדְרֹשׁve/yid/ROSHand he shall seekהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyלְהָסִירle/ha/SIRto take awayאֶת־הַמַּשָּׂאוֹתet-ham/mas/sa/OTincumbrancesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areעַלaluponהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAnamedבֵינֵיכֶםve/ne/KHEMamong youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵשֵׁבye/SHEVhe may dwellבּוֹbothereinכֵּןkeneven soאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   Therefore ye shall ordain him unto this blessing, and he shall seek diligently to take away incumbrances that are upon the house named among you, that he may dwell therein. Even so. Amen.
