   Thus saith the Lord, verily, verily I say unto you my son, thy sins are forgiven thee, according to thy petition, for thy prayers and the prayers of thy brethren have come up into my ears.

   Therefore, thou art blessed from henceforth that bear the keys of the kingdom given unto you; which kingdom is coming forth for the last time.

   Verily I say unto you, the keys of this kingdom shall never be taken from you, while thou art in the world, neither in the world to come;

   Nevertheless, through you shall the oracles be given to another, yea, even unto the church.

   And all they who receive the oracles of God, let them beware how they hold them lest they are accounted as a light thing, and are brought under condemnation thereby, and stumble and fall when the storms descend, and the winds blow, and the rains descend, and beat upon their house.

   And again, verily I say unto thy brethren, Sidney Rigdon and Frederick G. Williams, their sins are forgiven them also, and they are accounted as equal with thee in holding the keys of this last kingdom;

   As also through your administration the keys of the school of the prophets, which I have commanded to be organized;

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבָּזֶהba/ZEtherebyיֻשְׁלְמוּyush/le/MUthey may be perfectedבַעֲבוֹדָתָםva/a/vo/da/TAMin their ministryלִישׁוּעַתli/shu/ATfor the salvationצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionוּלְאֻמּוֹתu/le/um/MOTand of the nationsיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelוְלַגּוֹיִםve/Lag/go/YIMand of the Gentilesכׇּלkolas many asהַמַּאֲמִינִים׃ham/ma/a/mi/NIMwill believe

   That thereby they may be perfected in their ministry for the salvation of Zion, and of the nations of Israel, and of the Gentiles, as many as will believe;

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבְּיַדbe/YADthroughהַנְהָגַתְכֶםhan/ha/gat/KHEMyour administrationיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUthey may receiveאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand throughהַנְהָגָתָםhan/ha/ga/TAMtheir administrationיֵצֵאye/TSEmay go forthהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordעַד־אַפְסֵיad-af/SEunto the endsאָרֶץA/retsof the earthאֶל־הַגּוֹיִםel-Hag/go/YIMunto the Gentilesרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand thenהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdוְהֵןve/HENand loיִפְנוּyif/NUthey shall turnאֶל־הַיְּהוּדִים׃el-Hay/ye/hu/DIMunto the Jews

   That through your administration they may receive the word, and through their administration the word may go forth unto the ends of the earth, unto the Gentiles first, and then, behold, and lo, they shall turn unto the Jews.

    וְאָזve/AZand thenיָבוֹאya/VOcomesהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenתִּגָּלֶהtig/ga/LEshall be revealedזְרוֹעַze/RO/athe armיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achin powerלְהוֹכִיחַle/ho/KHI/achin convincingהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsגּוֹיֵיgo/YEthe nationsהַנֵּכָרhan/ne/KHARof the heathenבֵּיתbetthe houseיוֹסֵףYo/SEFof Josephאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתet-be/so/RATof the gospelיְשׁוּעָתָם׃ye/shu/a/TAMof their salvation

    And then cometh the day when the arm of the Lord shall be revealed in power in convincing the nations, the heathen nations, the house of Joseph, of the gospel of their salvation.

    כִּיkiforיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיִשְׁמַעyish/MAshall hearכׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishevery manאֶת־מְלֹאet-me/LOthe fulnessהַבְּשׂוֹרָהhab/be/so/RAof the gospelבִּלְשׁוֹנוֹbil/sho/NOin his own tongueוּבִשְׂפָתוֹu/vis/fa/TOand in his own languageבְּיַדbe/YADthroughהַנִּסְמָכִיםhan/nis/ma/KHIMthose who are ordainedלַכֹּחַlak/KO/achunto powerהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבְּהַנְהָגַתbe/han/ha/GATby the administrationהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMof the Comforterהַנִּשְׁפָּךְhan/nish/PAKHshed forthעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themלַחֲזוֹןla/cha/ZONfor the revelationיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃Ham/ma/SHI/achChrist

    For it shall come to pass in that day, that every man shall hear the fulness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language, through those who are ordained unto this power, by the administration of the Comforter, shed forth upon them for the revelation of Jesus Christ.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֲנִיa/NIIנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODthat you continueבָּעֲבוֹדָהba/a/vo/DAin the ministryוּבַנְּשִׂיאוּת׃u/van/ne/si/UTand presidency

    And now, verily I say unto you, I give unto you a commandment that you continue in the ministry and presidency.

13. 13

    וּכְכַלּוֹתְכֶםu/khe/khal/lot/KHEMand when you finishedאֶת־תַּרְגּוּםet-tar/GUMthe translationהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMof the prophetsמֵאָזme/AZfrom thenceforthתִּנְהֲגוּtin/ha/GUyou shall preside overאֶת־עִנְיְנֵיet-in/ye/NEthe affairsהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchוּבֵיתu/VETand the schoolהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMof the prophets

    And when you have finished the translation of the prophets, you shall from thenceforth preside over the affairs of the church and the school;

14. 14

    וּמֵעֵתu/me/ETand from timeלְעֵתle/ETto timeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְגַלֶּהye/gal/LEshall be manifestedהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMby the Comforterתְּקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUreceiveחֲזוֹנוֹתcha/zo/NOTrevelationsלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto unfoldאֶת־סוֹדוֹתet-so/DOTthe mysteriesהַמַּלְכוּת׃ham/mal/KHUTof the kingdom

    And from time to time, as shall be manifested by the Comforter, receive revelations to unfold the mysteries of the kingdom;

15. 15

    וְתָכִינוּve/ta/khi/NUand set in orderאֶת־הַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתet-hak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesוְתִלְמְדוּve/til/me/DUand studyוְתֵדְעוּve/ted/Uand learnוְתַכִּירוּve/tak/KI/ruand become acquainted withכׇּל־סֵפֶרkol-SE/ferall booksטוֹבtovgoodוּלְשׁוֹנוֹתu/le/sho/NOTand with languagesוְשָׂפוֹתve/sa/FOTtonguesוְעַמִּים׃ve/am/MIMand people

    And set in order the churches, and study and learn, and become acquainted with all good books, and with languages, tongues, and people.

16. 16

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beמְלַאכְתְּכֶםme/lakh/te/KHEMyour businessוּמִשְׁלַחְתְּכֶםu/mish/lach/te/KHEMand missionכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEin all the daysחַיֵּיכֶםchay/ye/KHEMof your livesלְהַנְהִיגle/han/HIGto presideבַּסּוֹדbas/SODin councilוּלְתַקֵּןu/le/tak/KENand set in orderאֶת־כׇּל־עִנְיְנֵיet-kol-in/ye/NEall the affairsהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof churchוְהַמַּלְכוּתve/ham/mal/KHUTand kingdomהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And this shall be your business and mission in all your lives, to preside in council, and set in order all the affairs of this church and kingdom.

17. 17

    אַל־תֵּבֹשׁוּal-te/VO/shube not ashamedוְאַל־תִּכָּלְמוּve/AL-tik/ka/le/MUneither confoundedאַךְakhbutהִוָּסְרוּhiv/va/se/RUbe admonishedמִכׇּל־גֹּבַהּmik/KOL-GO/vain all the high-mindednessלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMof your heartוְגַאֲוַתְכֶםve/ga/a/vat/KHEMand your prideכִּיkiforמוֹקֵשׁmo/KESHa snareהִיאhiit isלְנַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶם׃le/naf/sho/te/KHEMupon your souls

    Be not ashamed, neither confounded; but be admonished in all your high-mindedness and pride, for it bringeth a snare upon your souls.

18. 18

    תַּקְּנוּtak/ke/NUset in orderאֶת־בָּתֵּיכֶםet-bat/te/KHEMyour housesהַרְחִיקוּhar/chi/KUkeep farמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youעַצְלוּתats/LUTslothfulnessוְטֻמְאָה׃ve/tum/Aand uncleanness

    Set in order your houses; keep slothfulness and uncleanness far from you.

19. 19

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAnowאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youיוּכַןyu/KHANlet be providedמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAas soon as possibleלְמִשְׁפַּחַתle/mish/PA/chatfor the familyיוֹעַצְךָyo/ats/KHAof your counselorוְסוֹפֶרְךָve/so/fer/KHAand scribeגַּםgamevenפְרֶדֶרִיקFe/re/de/RIKFrederickג׳.gGוִילְיָמְס׃Vi/le/YAMSWilliams

    Now, verily I say unto you, let there be a place provided, as soon as it is possible, for the family of thy counselor and scribe, even Frederick G. Williams.

    וְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantהַזָּקֵןhaz/za/KENagedיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהָאָבHa/AVSenיֵשֵׁבye/SHEVlet continueעִםimwithמִשְׁפַּחְתּוֹmish/pach/TOhis familyבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMupon the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהוּאhuheיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVlivesשָׁםshamthereעַתָּהat/TAnowוְלֹאve/LOand notיִמָּכֵרyim/ma/KHERlet it be soldעַדaduntilיֹאמַרyo/MARshall nameפִּיpithe mouthיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

    And let mine aged servant, Joseph Smith, Sen., continue with his family upon the place where he now lives; and let it not be sold until the mouth of the Lord shall name.

    וְיוֹעֲצִיve/yo/a/TSIand let my counselorגַּםgamevenסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONremainבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERwhereהוּאhuheשׁוֹכֵןsho/KHENresidesעַתָּהat/TAnowעַדaduntilיֹאמַרyo/MARshall nameפִּיpithe mouthיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

    And let my counselor, even Sidney Rigdon, remain where he now resides until the mouth of the Lord shall name.

    וִיבַקֵּשׁvi/vak/KESHand let searchהַפָּקִידhap/pa/KIDthe bishopהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyלִמְצֹאlim/TSOto obtainסֹכֵןso/KHENan agentוְיִהְיֶהve/yih/YEand let him beאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowho gotעֹשֶׁרO/sherrichesבְּאוֹצְרוֹתָיוbe/ots/ro/TAYVin storeאִישׁisha manאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוַחֲזַקva/cha/ZAKand of strongאֱמוּנָה׃e/mu/NAfaith

    And let the bishop search diligently to obtain an agent, and let him be a man who has got riches in store—a man of God, and of strong faith—

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבָּזֶהba/ZEtherebyיוּכַלyu/KHALhe may be ableלְשַׁלֵּםle/shal/LEMto dischargeכׇּל־חוֹבkol-chovevery debtוְלֹאve/LOthat notיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beאוֹצַרo/TSARthe storehouseיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordלְחֶרְפָּהle/cher/PAbrought into disreputeבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEbefore the eyesהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

    That thereby he may be enabled to discharge every debt; that the storehouse of the Lord may not be brought into disrepute before the eyes of the people.

    דִּרְשׁוּdir/SHUsearchהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyהִתְפַּלְּלוּhit/pal/le/LUprayתָמִידta/MIDalwaysוְהַאֲמִינוּve/ha/a/MI/nuand be believingוְכׇל־דָּבָרve/KHOL-da/VARand all thingsיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEshall work togetherלְטוֹבַתְכֶםle/to/vat/KHEMfor your goodאִםimifתֵּלְכוּtel/KHUyou walkבְּיֹשֶׁרbe/YO/sheruprightlyוְתִזְכְּרוּve/tiz/ke/RUand rememberאֶת־הַבְּרִיתet-hab/be/RITthe covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwherewithכְּרַתֶּםke/rat/TEMyou covenantedאִישׁishoneעִםimwithאָחִיו׃a/CHIVanother

    Search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good, if ye walk uprightly and remember the covenant wherewith ye have covenanted one with another.

    יִהְיוּyih/YUlet beבָתֵּיכֶםvat/te/KHEMyour familiesקְטַנִּיםke/tan/NIMsmallבְּמִסְפָּרbe/mis/PARin numberוּבְיֹתֵרu/ve/yo/TERespeciallyבֵּיתbetthe houseעַבְדִּיav/DIof my servantהַזָּקֵןhaz/za/KENagedיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהָאָבHa/AVSenבַּנּוֹגֵעַban/no/GE/aas pertainingלְאֵלֶּהle/EL/leto thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵינָםe/NAMdo notמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתְּכֶם׃mim/mish/pach/te/KHEMare of your families

    Let your families be small, especially mine aged servant Joseph Smith's, Sen., as pertaining to those who do not belong to your families;

    That those things that are provided for you, to bring to pass my work, be not taken from you and given to those that are not worthy—

    וּבָזֶהu/va/ZEand therebyתִּמָּנְעוּtim/ma/ne/Uyou be hinderedמֵהַשְׁלִיםme/hash/LIMfrom accomplishingאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתִיכֶם׃tsiv/vi/ti/KHEMI commanded you

    And thereby you be hindered in accomplishing those things which I have commanded you.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willכִּיkithatשִׁפְחָתִיshif/cha/TImy handmaidוִיאֶנָהVi/e/NAViennaז׳ָאקֶסZkesJaquesתְּקַבֵּלte/kab/BELshould receiveכֶּסֶףKE/sefmoneyלְהוֹצָאוֹתֶיהָle/ho/tsa/o/te/HAto bear her expensesוְתַעֲלֶהve/ta/a/LEand go upאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    And again, verily I say unto you, it is my will that my handmaid Vienna Jaques should receive money to bear her expenses, and go up unto the land of Zion;

    וּשְׁאָרu/she/ARand the residueהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefof the moneyיֻקְדַּשׁyuk/DASHmay be consecratedלִיliunto meוְהִיאve/HIand sheתְּשֻׁלַּםte/shul/LAMbe rewardedבְּעִתִּי׃be/it/TIin my own due time

    And the residue of the money may be consecrated unto me, and she be rewarded in mine own due time.

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youנָכוֹןna/KHONit is meetבְעֵינַיve/e/NAYin my eyesכִּיkithatתַעֲלֶהta/a/LEshe should go upאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionוּתְקַבֵּלu/te/kab/BELand receiveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the handהַפָּקִיד׃hap/pa/KIDof the bishop

    Verily I say unto you, that it is meet in mine eyes that she should go up unto the land of Zion, and receive an inheritance from the hand of the bishop;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּשֵׁבte/SHEVshe may settle downבְּשָׁלוֹםbe/sha/LOMin peaceכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasנֶאֱמָנָהne/e/ma/NAfaithfulהִיאhishe isוְלֹאve/LOand notתִהְיֶהtih/YEbeעֲצֵלָהa/tse/LAidleכׇּל־יָמֶיהָkol-ya/ME/hain all her daysמֵאָזme/AZfrom thenceforthוָהָלְאָה׃va/ha/le/Aand onward

    That she may settle down in peace inasmuch as she is faithful, and not be idle in her days from thenceforth.

32. 32

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youתִּכְתְּבוּtikh/te/VUthat you shall writeאֶת־הַמִּצְוָהet-ham/mits/VAcommandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְתֹאמְרוּve/to/me/RUand sayלַאֲחֵיכֶםla/a/che/KHEMunto your brethrenבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionבְּבִרְכַּתbe/vir/KATin greetingאַהֲבָהa/ha/VAof loveכִּיkithatקָרָאתִיka/RA/tiI calledגַם־אֶתְכֶםgam-et/KHEMyou alsoלְהַנְהִיגle/han/HIGto preside overאֶת־צִיּוֹןet-Tsiy/YONZionבְּעִתִּי׃be/it/TIin my own due time

    And behold, verily I say unto you, that ye shall write this commandment, and say unto your brethren in Zion, in love greeting, that I have called you also to preside over Zion in mine own due time.

33. 33

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיֶחְדְּלוּyech/de/LUlet them ceaseמֵהַלְאוֹתִיme/hal/o/TIfrom wearying meבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARconcerning matterהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Therefore, let them cease wearying me concerning this matter.

34. 34

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brethrenבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionמַתְחִילִיםmat/chi/LIMbeginלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentוְהַמַּלְאָכִיםve/ham/mal/a/KHIMand the angelsשְׂמֵחִיםse/me/CHIMrejoiceעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMover them

    Behold, I say unto you that your brethren in Zion begin to repent, and the angels rejoice over them.

35. 35

    אַךְakhneverthelessאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notחָפֵץcha/FETSwell pleasedבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMwith thingsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְאֵינֶנִּיve/e/NEN/niand I am notחָפֵץcha/FETSwell pleasedבְּעַבְדִּיbe/av/DIwith my servantוִילְיָםVi/le/YAMWilliamאֵי.eEמַקְלֵלִיןmak/le/LINMcLellinוְלֹאve/LOneitherבְּעַבְדִּיbe/av/DIwith my servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyגִילְבֶּרְטGil/BERTGilbertוְגַםve/GAMandלַפָּקִידlap/pa/KIDthe bishop alsoוְלַאֲחֵרִיםve/la/a/che/RIMand othersדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentמֵהֶם׃me/HEMof

    Nevertheless, I am not well pleased with many things; and I am not well pleased with my servant William E. McLellin, neither with my servant Sidney Gilbert; and the bishop also, and others have many things to repent of.

36. 36

    אַךְakhbutאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאָרִיבa/RIVwill contendעִם־צִיּוֹןim-Tsiy/YONwith Zionוְאוֹכִיחַve/o/KHI/achand pleadאֶת־חֲזָקֶיהָet-cha/za/ke/HAwith her strong onesוַאֲיַסְּרֶנָּהva/a/yas/se/ren/NAand chasten herעַדaduntilתְּנַצֵּחַte/nats/TSE/achshe overcomesוְתִטְהַרve/tit/HARand is cleanלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    But verily I say unto you, that I, the Lord, will contend with Zion, and plead with her strong ones, and chasten her until she overcomes and is clean before me.

37. 37

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotתִמּוֹטtim/MOTshe shall be removedמִמְּקוֹמָהּmim/me/ko/MAout of her placeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tispoke itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    For she shall not be removed out of her place. I, the Lord, have spoken it. Amen.
