   Hearken unto me, saith the Lord your God, for my servant Oliver Cowdery's sake. It is not wisdom in me that he should be entrusted with the commandments and the moneys which he shall carry unto the land of Zion, except one go with him who will be true and faithful.

   Wherefore, I, the Lord, will that my servant, John Whitmer, should go with my servant Oliver Cowdery;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoכִּיkithatיוֹסִיףyo/SIFhe shall continueלִכְתֹּבlikh/TOVin writingוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand makingדִּבְרֵיdiv/REa historyיְמֵיye/MEof the daysכׇּלkolof allהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַחֲשׁוּבִיםha/cha/shu/VIMimportantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִרְאֶהyir/Ehe shall observeוְיֵדַעve/ye/DAand knowעַלalconcerningכְּנֵסִיָּתִי׃ke/ne/siy/ya/TImy church

   And also that he shall continue in writing and making a history of all the important things which he shall observe and know concerning my church;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoכִּיkithatיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELhe receiveעֵצָהe/TSAcounselוְעֶזְרָהve/ez/RAand assistanceמֵעַבְדִּיme/av/DIfrom my servantאוֹלִיבֶרO/li/VEROliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyוַאֲחֵרִים׃va/a/che/RIMand others

   And also that he receive counsel and assistance from my servant Oliver Cowdery and others.

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsהַנְּפוֹצִיםhan/ne/fo/TSIMwho are abroadבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthיִשְׁלְחוּyish/le/CHUshould send forthחֶשְׁבּוֹןchesh/BONthe accountsפְּקֻדָּתָםpe/kud/da/TAMof their stewardshipsלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

   And also, my servants who are abroad in the earth should send forth the accounts of their stewardships to the land of Zion;

   כִּיkiforאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְמוֹשָׁבle/mo/SHAVa seatוּלְמָקוֹםu/le/ma/KOMand a placeלְקַבֵּלle/kab/BELto receiveוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand to doכׇּלkolallהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

   For the land of Zion shall be a seat and a place to receive and do all these things.

   אַךְakhneverthelessעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantג׳וֹןGonJohnוִיטְמֵרVi/te/MERWhitmerיִסַּעyis/SAlet him travelפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyמִמָּקוֹםmim/ma/KOMfrom placeלְמָקוֹםle/ma/KOMto placeוּמִכְּנֵסִיָּהu/mik/ke/ne/siy/YAand from churchלִכְנֵסִיָּהlikh/ne/siy/YAto churchלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַשִּׂיגyas/SIGhe may obtainדַּעַתDA/atknowledgeנָקֵלna/KELeasilyיוֹתֵר׃yo/TERmore

   Nevertheless, let my servant John Whitmer travel many times from place to place, and from church to church, that he may the more easily obtain knowledge—

   מַטִּיףmat/TIFpreachingוּמְבָאֵרu/me/va/ERand expoundingכּוֹתֵבko/TEVwritingוּמַעְתִּיקu/ma/TIKand copyingבּוֹרֵרbo/RERselectingוּמַשִּׂיגu/mas/SIGand obtainingכׇּלkolallהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the goodהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchוְלַדּוֹרוֹתve/lad/do/ROTand for the generationsהָעוֹלִיםha/o/LIMrisingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִגְדְּלוּyig/de/LUshall grow upעַלaluponאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלְרִשְׁתָּהּle/rish/TAto possess itמִדּוֹרmid/DORfrom generationלְדוֹרle/DORto generationלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶדva/EDand everאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   Preaching and expounding, writing, copying, selecting, and obtaining all things which shall be for the good of the church, and for the rising generations that shall grow up on the land of Zion, to possess it from generation to generation, forever and ever. Amen.
