   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordלְזִקְנֵיle/zik/NEunto the eldersכְּנֵסִיָּתוֹke/ne/siy/ya/TOof his churchהַשָּׁבִיםhash/sha/VIMwho are to returnבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּאוּBA/uthey cameמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thenceהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdטוֹבtovit pleasesבְּעֵינַיbe/e/NAYmeכִּיkithatעֲלִיתֶםa/li/TEMyou came upהֵנָּה׃hen/NAhither

   Behold, thus saith the Lord unto the elders of his church, who are to return speedily to the land from whence they came: Behold, it pleaseth me, that you have come up hither;

   אַךְakhbutבִּקְצָתָםbik/tsa/TAMwith someלֹאlonotחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiam I well pleasedכִּיkiforלֹאlonotיִפְתְּחוּyif/te/CHUthey will openפִּיהֶםpi/HEMtheir mouthsכִּי־אִםki-imbutמַסְתִּירִיםmas/ti/RIMthey hideהַכִּשָּׁרוֹןhak/kish/sha/RONthe talentאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָהֶםla/HEMthemמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיִרְאַתyir/ATthe fearאָדָםa/DAMof manאוֹיoywoלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכִּיkiforחֲרוֹןcha/RONburningאַפִּיap/PIof my angerבֹּעֵרbo/ERis kindledבָּם׃bamagainst them

   But with some I am not well pleased, for they will not open their mouths, but they hide the talent which I have given unto them, because of the fear of man. Wo unto such, for mine anger is kindled against them.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאִםimifלֹאlonotיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreאֵלַיe/LAYunto meיֻקַּחyuk/KACHit shall be taken awayמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themגַּםgamevenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichיֶשׁ־לָהֶם׃yesh-la/HEMthey have

   And it shall come to pass, if they are not more faithful unto me, it shall be taken away, even that which they have.

   כִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELruleבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveוּבְצִבְאוֹתu/ve/tsiv/OTand among the armiesהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI shall make upסְגֻלָּתִיse/gul/la/TImy jewelsיֵדְעוּyed/Ushall knowכׇלkholallאָדָםa/DAMmenמַהmawhatהוּאhuit isהַמּוֹרֶהham/mo/REthat bespeaksעַלalofגְּבוּרַתge/vu/RATthe powerאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

   For I, the Lord, rule in the heavens above, and among the armies of the earth; and in the day when I shall make up my jewels, all men shall know what it is that bespeaketh the power of God.

   אַךְakhbutאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI will speakאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youעַלalconcerningמַסַּעֲכֶםmas/sa/a/KHEMyour journeyלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּאתֶםba/TEMyou cameמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thenceתֵּעָשֶׂהte/a/SElet be madeסְפִינָהse/fi/NAa craftאוֹoorתִקָּנֶהtik/ka/NElet it be boughtכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינֵיכֶםbe/e/ne/KHEMin your eyesאַחַתa/CHATit mattersהִיאhinotלִיliunto meוּסְעוּu/se/Uand takeבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyלְדַרְכְּכֶםle/dar/ke/KHEMyour journeyלַמָּקוֹםlam/ma/KOMto the placeהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAwhich is calledסֵיְנְטSeyntStלוּאִיס׃Lu/ISLouis

   But, verily, I will speak unto you concerning your journey unto the land from whence you came. Let there be a craft made, or bought, as seemeth you good, it mattereth not unto me, and take your journey speedily for the place which is called St. Louis.

   וּמִשָּׁםu/mish/SHAMand from thenceיִסְעוּyis/Ulet takeעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonוְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand JosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוְאוֹלִיבֶרve/O/li/VERand OliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyלְסִינְסִינֶּאטִי׃le/Si/ne/sin/ne/TIfor Cincinnati

   And from thence let my servants, Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, take their journey for Cincinnati;

   וּבַמָּקוֹםu/vam/ma/KOMand in the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִשְׂאוּyis/Ulet them lift upקוֹלָםko/LAMtheir voiceוְיַכְרִיזוּve/yakh/ri/ZUand declareדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLloudבְּלֹאbe/LOwithoutכַעַסKHA/aswrathוּבְלֹאu/ve/LOor withoutסָפֵקsa/FEKdoubtבְּהָרִימָםbe/ha/ri/MAMlifting upיָדַיִםya/DA/yimhandsקְדוֹשׁוֹתke/do/SHOTholyעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themכִּיkiforיָכֹלya/KHOLable amאֲנִיa/NIIלַעֲשׂוֹתְכֶםla/a/sot/KHEMto make youקְדוֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyוְחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםve/chat/to/te/KHEMand your sinsנִסְלְחוּnis/le/CHUare forgivenלָכֶם׃la/KHEMyou

   And in this place let them lift up their voice and declare my word with loud voices, without wrath or doubting, lifting up holy hands upon them. For I am able to make you holy, and your sins are forgiven you.

   וְהַשְּׁאָרve/hash/she/ARand the residueיִסְעוּyis/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyמִסֵיְנְטmi/SEYNTfrom StלוּאִיסLu/ISLouisשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimby twoוְיִקְרְאוּve/yik/re/Uand let them preachהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordלֹאlonotבְחִפָּזוֹןve/chip/pa/ZONin hasteבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedעַדaduntilשׁוּבָםshu/VAMtheir returningלַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתlak/ke/ne/siy/YOTto the churchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenceבָּאוּBA/uthey cameמֵהֶן׃me/HENfrom them

   And let the residue take their journey from St. Louis, two by two, and preach the word, not in haste, among the congregations of the wicked, until they return to the churches from whence they came.

   וְכׇלve/KHOLand allזֹאתzotthis isלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the goodהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTof the churchesכִּיkiforלָזֹאתla/ZOTfor this intentשְׁלַחְתִּים׃she/lach/TIMI sent them

   And all this for the good of the churches; for this intent have I sent them.

10. 10

    וְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand let my servantאֶדְוָרְדEd/VARDEdwardפַּרְטְרִיג׳Par/te/RIGPartridgeיִתֵּןyit/TENimpartמִןminofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe moneyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלוֹlohimחֵלֶקCHE/leka portionלִזְקֵנַיliz/ke/NAYunto my eldersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoצֻוּוּtsuv/VUare commandedלָשׁוּב׃la/SHUVto return

    And let my servant Edward Partridge impart of the money which I have given him, a portion unto mine elders who are commanded to return;

11. 11

    וְהַיָּכוֹלve/hay/ya/KHOLand he that is ableיְשִׁיבֶנּוּye/shi/VEN/nulet him return itבְּיַדbe/YADby the handהַסֹּכֵןhas/so/KHENof the agentוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he whoאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notיָכוֹלya/KHOLableלֹאlonotנִדְרָשׁnid/RASHis requiredמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/men/NUfrom him

    And he that is able, let him return it by the way of the agent; and he that is not, of him it is not required.

12. 12

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakעַלalofהַשְּׁאָרhash/she/ARthe residueהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho are to comeלָאָרֶץla/A/retsunto the landהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And now I speak of the residue who are to come unto this land.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנִשְׁלְחוּnish/le/CHUthey have been sentלִקְרֹאlik/ROto preachבְשׂוֹרָתִיve/so/ra/TImy gospelבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֲנִיa/NIIנוֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָהֶםla/HEMthemמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentכֹּהkothusלֹאlonotתַּשְׁחִיתtash/CHITshall you idle awayעִתְּךָit/te/KHAyour timeוְלֹאve/LOand notתִטְמֹןtit/MONshall you buryאֶת־כִּשְׁרוֹנְךָet-kish/ron/KHAyour talentלְבַלle/VALthat notיִוָּדַע׃yiv/va/DAit be known

    Behold, they have been sent to preach my gospel among the congregations of the wicked; wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, thus: Thou shalt not idle away thy time, neither shalt thou bury thy talent that it may not be known.

14. 14

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterעֲלוֹתְךָa/lot/KHAyour coming upלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionוְקָרָאתָve/ka/RA/taand proclaimedדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordתָּשׁוּבta/SHUVyou shall returnבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyוְתִקְרָאve/tik/RAand proclaimדְבָרִיde/va/RImy wordבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedלֹאlonotבְחִפָּזוֹןve/chip/pa/ZONin hasteוְלֹאve/LOand notבְכַעַסve/KHA/asin wrathוְלֹאve/LOand notבְמָדוֹן׃ve/ma/DONwith strife

    And after thou hast come up unto the land of Zion, and hast proclaimed my word, thou shalt speedily return, proclaiming my word among the congregations of the wicked, not in haste, neither in wrath nor with strife.

15. 15

    וְנָעַרְתָּve/na/ar/TAand shake offעֲפַרa/FARthe dustרַגְלֶיךָrag/LE/khaof your feetעַלalagainstאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיְקַבְּלוּךָye/kab/be/lu/KHAreceive youלֹאlonotבִפְנֵיהֶםvif/ne/HEMin their presenceפֶּןpenlestתַּכְעִיסֵםtakh/i/SEMyou provoke themכִּי־אִםki-imbutבַסֵּתֶרvas/SE/terin secretוְרָחַצְתָּve/ra/chats/TAand washרַגְלֶיךָrag/LE/khayour feetלְעֵדוּתle/e/DUTas a testimonyבָּםbamagainst themבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayהַמִּשְׁפָּט׃ham/mish/PATof judgment

    And shake off the dust of thy feet against those who receive thee not, not in their presence, lest thou provoke them, but in secret; and wash thy feet, as a testimony against them in the day of judgment.

16. 16

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֶהzethis isדַּיdaysufficientלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youוּרְצוֹןu/re/TSONand the willהַשּׁוֹלֵחַhash/sho/LE/achof him who sentאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    Behold, this is sufficient for you, and the will of him who hath sent you.

17. 17

    וּבְפִיu/ve/FIand by the mouthעַבְדִּיav/DIof my servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunיִוָּדַעyiv/va/DAit shall be made knownעַלalconcerningסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonוְאוֹלִיבֶרve/O/li/VERand OliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyוְהַשְּׁאָרve/hash/she/ARand the residueאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenhereafterכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And by the mouth of my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., it shall be made known concerning Sidney Rigdon and Oliver Cowdery. The residue hereafter. Even so. Amen.
