   Behold, blessed, saith the Lord, are they who have come up unto this land with an eye single to my glory, according to my commandments.

   For those that live shall inherit the earth, and those that die shall rest from all their labors, and their works shall follow them; and they shall receive a crown in the mansions of my Father, which I have prepared for them.

   Yea, blessed are they whose feet stand upon the land of Zion, who have obeyed my gospel; for they shall receive for their reward the good things of the earth, and it shall bring forth in its strength.

   And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time—they that are faithful and diligent before me.

   Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, saying thus: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy might, mind, and strength; and in the name of Jesus Christ thou shalt serve him.

   וְאָהַבְתָּve/a/hav/TAyou shall loveלְרֵעֲךָle/re/a/KHAyour neighborכָּמוֹךָka/MO/khaas yourselfלֹאlonotתִגְנֹבtig/NOVshall you stealוְלֹאve/LOand notתִנְאָףtin/AFcommit adulteryוְלֹאve/LOand notתִרְצָחtir/TSACHkillוְלֹאve/LOand notתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEshall you doכׇּלkolanyדָּבָרda/VARthingהַדּוֹמֶהhad/do/MElikeלָזֶה׃la/ZEunto this

   Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it.

   תּוֹדֶהto/DEyou shall thankלַיהוָהla-Adonaiunto the Lordאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָר׃da/VARthings

   Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things.

8. 8

   וְהִקְרַבְתָּve/hik/rav/TAand you shall offerקׇרְבָּןkor/BANa sacrificeלַיהוָהla-Adonaiunto the Lordאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessגַּםgamevenלֵבleva heartנִשְׁבָּרnish/BARbrokenוְרוּחַve/RU/achand a spiritנִדְכָּאָה׃nid/ka/Acontrite

   Thou shalt offer a sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in righteousness, even that of a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

9. 9

   וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatתִּשָּׁמֵרtish/sha/MERmay keep yourselfיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreנָקִיna/KIunspottedמִןminfromהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldתֵּלֵךְte/LEKHyou shall goלְבֵיתle/VETto the houseהַתְּפִלָּהhat/te/fil/LAof prayerוְתַקְרִיבve/tak/RIVand offer upקׇרְבְּנוֹתֶיךָkor/be/no/te/KHAyour sacramentsבְּיוֹםbe/YOMupon the dayקׇדְשִׁי׃kod/SHIof my holiness

   And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day;

    כִּיkiforאָמֵןa/MENverilyזֶהzethis isיוֹםyoma dayמְמֻנֶּהme/mun/NEappointedלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלָנוּחַla/NU/achto restמֵעֲמַלְכֶםme/a/mal/KHEMfrom your laborsוּלְשַׁלֵּםu/le/shal/LEMand to payנְדָרֶיךָne/da/RE/khayour devotionsלָעֶלְיוֹן׃la/El/YONunto the Most High

    For verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High;

11. 11

    אַךְakhneverthelessנְדָרֶיךָne/da/RE/khayour vowsיֻקְרְבוּyuk/re/VUshall be offeredבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessבְּכׇלbe/KHOLon allהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysוּבְכׇלu/ve/KHOLand at allעֵת׃ettimes

    Nevertheless thy vows shall be offered up in righteousness on all days and at all times;

12. 12

    אַךְakhbutזְכֹרze/KHORrememberכִּיkithatבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיוֹםyomthe dayיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordתַּקְרִיבtak/RIVyou shall offerמִנְחוֹתֶיךָmin/cho/te/KHAyour oblationsוְקׇרְבְּנוֹתֶיךָve/kor/be/no/te/KHAand your sacramentsלָעֶלְיוֹןla/El/YONunto the Most Highוְהִתְוַדֵּיתָve/hit/vad/de/TAconfessingחֲטָאֶיךָcha/ta/e/KHAyour sinsלְאַחֶיךָle/a/CHE/khaunto your brethrenוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeיְהוָה׃Adonaithe Lord

    But remember that on this, the Lord's day, thou shalt offer thine oblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High, confessing thy sins unto thy brethren, and before the Lord.

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלֹאlonotתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEshall you doדָּבָרda/VARthingאַחֵרa/CHERanotherרַקrakonlyיוּכַןyu/KHANlet be preparedאׇכְלְךָokh/le/KHAyour foodבְּתֹםbe/TOMwith singlenessלֵבָבle/VAVof heartלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beצוֹמְךָtsom/KHAyour fastingשָׁלֵםsha/LEMperfectאוֹoorבְּמִלִּיםbe/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּמָּלֵאtim/ma/LEmay be fullשִׂמְחָתְךָ׃sim/cha/te/KHAyour joy

    And on this day thou shalt do none other thing, only let thy food be prepared with singleness of heart that thy fasting may be perfect, or, in other words, that thy joy may be full.

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyזֶהzethis isצוֹםtsomfastingוּתְפִלָּהu/te/fil/LAand prayerאוֹoorבְּמִלִּיםbe/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherשִׂמְחָהsim/CHArejoicingוּתְפִלָּה׃u/te/fil/LAand prayer

    Verily, this is fasting and prayer, or in other words, rejoicing and prayer.

15. 15

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou doהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּתוֹדָהbe/to/DAwith thanksgivingבְּלֵבbe/LEVwith heartשָׂמֵחַsa/ME/achcheerfulוּבְפָנִיםu/ve/fa/NIMand with countenancesשְׂמֵחִיםse/me/CHIMcheerfulלֹאlonotבִּשְׂחוֹקbis/CHOKwith laughterרַבravmuchכִּיkiforזֶהzethis isחֵטְאchetsinכִּי־אִםki-imbutבְּלֵבbe/LEVwith a heartטוֹבtovgladוּבְפָנִיםu/ve/fa/NIMand a countenanceשְׂמֵחִים׃se/me/CHIMcheerful

    And inasmuch as ye do these things with thanksgiving, with cheerful hearts and countenances, not with much laughter, for this is sin, but with a glad heart and a cheerful countenance—

16. 16

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayכְּפִיke/FIthat inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou doזֹאתzotthisמְלֹאme/LOthe fulnessהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthלָכֶםla/KHEMis yoursחַיַּתchay/YATthe beastsהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEof the fieldוְעוֹףve/OFand the fowlsהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the airוְהָעֹלֶהve/ha/o/LEand that which climbsעַלaluponהָעֵצִיםha/e/TSIMthe treesוְהַהֹלֵךְve/ha/ho/LEKHand that which walksעַלaluponהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSthe earth

    Verily I say, that inasmuch as ye do this, the fulness of the earth is yours, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and that which climbeth upon the trees and walketh upon the earth;

    Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment, or for houses, or for barns, or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards;

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaכׇּלkolallהַיֹּצֵאhay/yo/TSEthings which comeמִןminofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבְּעִתּוֹbe/it/TOin its seasonנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAis madeלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the benefitהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof manוְלַעֲבֹדָתוֹve/la/a/vo/da/TOand for his useגַּםgambothלִרְצוֹתlir/TSOTto pleaseהָעַיִןha/A/yinthe eyeוְגַםve/GAMandלְשַׂמֵּחַle/sam/ME/achto gladdenהַלֵּב׃hal/LEVthe heart

    Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;

19. 19

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaלְאֹכֶלle/O/khelfor foodוּלְמַלְבּוּשׁu/le/mal/BUSHand for raimentלְטַעַםle/TA/amfor tasteוּלְרֵיחַu/le/RE/achand for smellלְחַזֵּקle/chaz/ZEKto strengthenהַגּוּףhag/GUFthe bodyוּלְהַחֲיוֹתu/le/ha/cha/YOTand to enlivenהַנָּפֶשׁ׃han/na/FESHthe soul

    Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul.

20. 20

    וְטוֹבve/TOVand it is pleasingבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַןna/TANhe gaveכׇּלkolallהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלָאָדָםla/a/DAMunto manכִּיkiforלָזֶהla/ZEunto this endנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere they madeלְהֵעָבֵדle/he/a/VEDto be usedבָּםbamby themבְּמִשְׁפָּטbe/mish/PATwith judgmentלֹאlonotלְזָרָאle/za/RAto excessוְלֹאve/LOand notבַעֹשֶׁק׃va/o/SHEKby extortion

    And it pleaseth God that he hath given all these things unto man; for unto this end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by extortion.

21. 21

    וּבְאֵיןu/ve/ENand in noדָּבָרda/VARthingיַעֲצִיבya/a/TSIVdoes offendאָדָםa/DAMmanאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERagainst whomיִבְעַרyiv/ARis kindledבּוֹboagainst himאַפּוֹap/POhis wrathזוּלָתִיzu/la/TIsaveאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵינָםe/NAMdo notמוֹדִיםmo/DIMconfessבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOhis handבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָרda/VARthingsוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand do notשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMobeyמִצְוֹתָיו׃mits/vo/TAYVhis commandments

    And in nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things, and obey not his commandments.

22. 22

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֶהzethis isלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawוְהַנְּבִיאִיםve/han/ne/vi/IMand the prophetsלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאַלaldo notתַּלְאוּנִיtal/u/NItrouble meעוֹדodany moreעַלalconcerningהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe matterהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Behold, this is according to the law and the prophets; wherefore, trouble me no more concerning this matter.

23. 23

    אַךְakhbutלִמְדוּlim/DUlearnכִּיkithatהָעֹשֶׂהha/o/SEhe who doesמַעֲשֵׂיma/a/SEthe worksצֶדֶקTSE/dekof righteousnessיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELshall receiveשְׂכָרוֹse/kha/ROhis rewardגַּםgamevenשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְחַיֵּיve/chay/YEand lifeעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַבָּא׃hab/BAthe coming

    But learn that he who doeth the works of righteousness shall receive his reward, even peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come.

    אֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tispoke itוְהָרוּחַve/Ha/RU/achand the Spiritמְעִידָהme/i/DAbears recordאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    I, the Lord, have spoken it, and the Spirit beareth record. Amen.
