   Behold, and hearken unto the voice of him who has all power, who is from everlasting to everlasting, even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

   Behold, verily thus saith the Lord unto you, O ye elders of my church, who are assembled upon this spot, whose sins are now forgiven you, for I, the Lord, forgive sins, and am merciful unto those who confess their sins with humble hearts;

   But verily I say unto you, that it is not needful for this whole company of mine elders to be moving swiftly upon the waters, whilst the inhabitants on either side are perishing in unbelief.

   Nevertheless, I suffered it that ye might bear record; behold, there are many dangers upon the waters, and more especially hereafter;

   כִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TIdecreedבְאַפִּיve/ap/PIin my angerשַׁמּוֹתsham/MOTdestructionsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyעַלaluponהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersאָכֵןa/KHENyeaוּבְיֶתֶרu/ve/YE/terand especiallyעַלaluponהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

   For I, the Lord, have decreed in mine anger many destructions upon the waters; yea, and especially upon these waters.

   אַךְakhneverthelessכׇּלkolallבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshבְּיָדִיbe/ya/DIis in my handוְהַנֶּאֱמָןve/han/ne/e/MANand he that is faithfulבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youלֹאlonotיֹאבַדyo/VADshall perishבַּמָּיִם׃bam/ma/YIMby the waters

   Nevertheless, all flesh is in mine hand, and he that is faithful among you shall not perish by the waters.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientכִּיkithatעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyגִילְבֶּרְטGil/BERTGilbertוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantוִילְיָםVi/le/YAMWilliamו.vWפֶלְפְּסFEL/pesPhelpsיְמַהֲרוּye/ma/ha/RUbe in hasteבְּמַשָּׂאָםbe/mas/sa/AMupon their errandוּמִשְׁלַחְתָּם׃u/mish/lach/TAMand mission

   Wherefore, it is expedient that my servant Sidney Gilbert and my servant William W. Phelps be in haste upon their errand and mission.

   אַךְakhneverthelessלֹאlonotהִנַּחְתִּיhin/nach/TII would sufferכִּיkithatתִּפָּרְדוּtip/pa/re/DUyou should partעַדaduntilתִּוָּסְרוּtiv/va/se/RUyou were chastenedעַלalforכׇּלkolallחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםchat/to/te/KHEMyour sinsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou might beאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתֹאבְדוּto/ve/DUyou might perishבְּרִשְׁעָה׃be/rish/Ain wickedness

   Nevertheless, I would not suffer that ye should part until you were chastened for all your sins, that you might be one, that you might not perish in wickedness;

   But now, verily I say, it behooveth me that ye should part. Wherefore let my servants Sidney Gilbert and William W. Phelps take their former company, and let them take their journey in haste that they may fill their mission, and through faith they shall overcome;

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulיִשָּׁמְרוּyish/sha/me/RUthey shall be preservedוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand IיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beעִמָּם׃im/MAMwith them

    And inasmuch as they are faithful they shall be preserved, and I, the Lord, will be with them.

    וְהַשְּׁאָרve/hash/she/ARand let the residueיִקְחוּyik/CHUtakeהַנָּחוּץhan/na/CHUTSthat which is needfulלַמַּלְבּוּשׁ׃lam/mal/BUSHfor clothing

    And let the residue take that which is needful for clothing.

    עַבְדִּיav/DIlet my servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyגִילְבֶּרְטGil/BERTGilbertיִקַּחyik/KACHtakeעִמּוֹim/MOwith himאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notנָחוּץna/CHUTSneedfulכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasתִּוָּעֲדוּ׃tiv/va/a/DUyou shall agree

    Let my servant Sidney Gilbert take that which is not needful with him, as you shall agree.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלְטוֹבַתְכֶםle/to/vat/KHEMfor your goodנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentעַלalconcerningהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand IיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאִוָּכַחiv/va/KHACHwill reasonאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youכְּעִםke/IMas withבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysקֶדֶם׃ke/DEMof old

    And now, behold, for your good I gave unto you a commandment concerning these things; and I, the Lord, will reason with you as with men in days of old.

14. 14

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordבָּרֵאשִׁיתba/re/SHITin the beginningבֵּרַכְתִּיbe/RAKH/tiblessedהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersאַךְakhbutבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latter partהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMof the daysבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthעַבְדִּיav/DIof my servantיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnקִלַּלְתִּיkil/lal/TII cursedהַמָּיִם׃ham/ma/YIMthe waters

    Behold, I, the Lord, in the beginning blessed the waters; but in the last days, by the mouth of my servant John, I cursed the waters.

15. 15

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenלֹאlonotיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבָשָׂרva/SARfleshבָּטוּחַba/TU/achsafeעַלaluponהַמָּיִם׃ham/ma/YIMthe waters

    Wherefore, the days will come that no flesh shall be safe upon the waters.

16. 16

    וְיֵאָמֵרve/ye/a/MERand it shall be saidבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMthat are to comeכִּיkithatאֵיןennoneיָכוֹלya/KHOLis ableלַעֲלוֹתla/a/LOTto go upלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionעַלaluponהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersכִּי־אִםki-imbutיְשַׁרye/SHARthe uprightלֵב׃levof heart

    And it shall be said in days to come that none is able to go up to the land of Zion upon the waters, but he that is upright in heart.

17. 17

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordבָּרֵאשִׁיתba/re/SHITin the beginningקִלַּלְתִּיkil/lal/TIcursedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landכֵּןkeneven soבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latter partהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMof the daysבֵּרַכְתִּיהָbe/rakh/ti/HAI blessed itבְּעִתָּהּbe/it/TAin its timeלַעֲבֹדַתla/a/vo/DATfor the useקְדוֹשַׁיke/do/SHAYof my saintsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUthey may partakeמֵחֶלְבָּהּ׃me/chel/BAof its fatness

    And, as I, the Lord, in the beginning cursed the land, even so in the last days have I blessed it, in its time, for the use of my saints, that they may partake the fatness thereof.

18. 18

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲנִיa/NIIנוֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentכִּיkithatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatאֹמַרo/MARI sayלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADunto oneאֹמַרo/MARI sayלַכֹּלlak/KOLunto allתַּזְהִירוּtaz/hi/RUyou shall forewarnאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brethrenעַלalconcerningהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey comeלִנְסֹעַlin/SO/ato journeyעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themפֶּןpenlestתִּכָּשֵׁלtik/ka/SHELfailאֱמוּנָתָםe/mu/na/TAMtheir faithוְיִלָּכְדוּve/yil/la/khe/DUand they be caughtבַּפַּחִים׃bap/pa/CHIMin snares

    And now I give unto you a commandment that what I say unto one I say unto all, that you shall forewarn your brethren concerning these waters, that they come not in journeying upon them, lest their faith fail and they are caught in snares;

19. 19

    אֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TIdecreedוְהַמַּשְׁחִיתve/ham/mash/CHITand the destroyerרֹכֵבro/KHEVridesעַלaluponפְּנֵיהֶםpe/ne/HEMthe face of themוְאֵינֶנִּיve/e/NEN/niand I do notמְבַטֵּלme/vat/TELrevokeהַגְּזֵרָה׃hag/ge/ze/RAthe decree

    I, the Lord, have decreed, and the destroyer rideth upon the face thereof, and I revoke not the decree.

20. 20

    אֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordכָּעַסְתִּיka/as/TIwas angryעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMwith youאֶתְמוֹלet/MOLyesterdayאַךְakhbutהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayשָׁבshavis turned awayאַפִּי׃ap/PImy anger

    I, the Lord, was angry with you yesterday, but today mine anger is turned away.

21. 21

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERconcerning whomדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMconcerning themכִּיkithatיִסְעוּyis/Ushould takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAin hasteעוֹדodagainאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youיִסְעוּyis/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyבִּמְהֵרָה׃bim/he/RAin haste

    Wherefore, let those concerning whom I have spoken, that should take their journey in haste—again I say unto you, let them take their journey in haste.

    וְאַחַתve/a/CHATand it mattersהִיאhinotלִיliunto meאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמְעַטme/ATa little whileאִםimifיְמַלְּאוּye/mal/le/Uthey fillמִשְׁלַחְתָּםmish/lach/TAMtheir missionאִםimwhetherיֵלְכוּyel/KHUthey goבַמַּיִםvam/MA/yimby waterאוֹoorבַיַּבָּשָׁהvay/yab/ba/SHAby landיְהִיye/HIlet beזֹאתzotthisכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִוָּדַעyiv/va/DAshall be made knownלָהֶםla/HEMunto themלְפִיle/FIaccording toמִשְׁפָּטָםmish/pa/TAMtheir judgmentsאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenhereafter

    And it mattereth not unto me, after a little, if it so be that they fill their mission, whether they go by water or by land; let this be as it is made known unto them according to their judgments hereafter.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowעַלalconcerningעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonוְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand JosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוְאוֹלִיבֶרve/O/li/VERand OliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyלֹאlonotיָבֹאוּya/VO/ulet them comeעוֹדodagainעַלaluponהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersכִּי־אִםki-imsaveעַלaluponהַתְּעָלָהhat/te/a/LAthe canalבְּנׇסְעָםbe/nos/AMwhile journeyingלְבָתֵּיהֶםle/vat/te/HEMunto their homesאוֹoorבְּמִלִּיםbe/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherלֹאlonotיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey shall comeעַלaluponהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersלִנְסֹעַlin/SO/ato journeyכִּי־אִםki-imsaveעַלaluponהַתְּעָלָה׃hat/te/a/LAthe canal

    And now, concerning my servants, Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, let them come not again upon the waters, save it be upon the canal, while journeying unto their homes; or in other words they shall not come upon the waters to journey, save upon the canal.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TIappointedדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha wayלְמַסַּעle/mas/SAfor the journeyingקְדוֹשָׁיke/do/SHAYof my saintsוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdזֶהzethis isהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterעׇזְבָםoz/VAMtheir leavingהַתְּעָלָהhat/te/a/LAthe canalיִסְעוּyis/Uthey shall journeyבַיַּבָּשָׁהvay/yab/ba/SHAby landכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasמְצֻוִּיםme/tsuv/VIMthey are commandedלִנְסֹעַlin/SO/ato journeyוְלַעֲלוֹתve/la/a/LOTand to go upלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    Behold, I, the Lord, have appointed a way for the journeying of my saints; and behold, this is the way—that after they leave the canal they shall journey by land, inasmuch as they are commanded to journey and go up unto the land of Zion;

    וְיַעֲשׂוּve/ya/a/SUand they shall doכִּבְנֵיkiv/NElike the childrenיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelוְיִטְּעוּve/yit/te/Upitchingאׇהֳלֵיהֶםo/ho/le/HEMtheir tentsבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/da/REKHby the way

    And they shall do like unto the children of Israel, pitching their tents by the way.

26. 26

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתִּתְּנוּtit/te/NUyou shall giveלְכׇלle/KHOLunto allאֲחֵיכֶם׃a/che/KHEMyour brethren

    And, behold, this commandment you shall give unto all your brethren.

27. 27

    אַךְakhneverthelessלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto whomנִתַּןnit/TANis givenכֹּחַKO/achpowerלְצַוֹּתle/tsav/VOTto commandאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe watersלוֹlounto himנִתָּןnit/TANis givenמִןminbyהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowכׇּלkolallדְּרָכָיו׃de/ra/KHAYVhis ways

    Nevertheless, unto whom is given power to command the waters, unto him it is given by the Spirit to know all his ways;

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SElet him doכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasתְּצַוֶּנּוּte/tsav/VEN/nushall command himרוּחַRU/achthe Spiritאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godחַיִּיםchay/YIMthe livingאִםimwhetherבַּיַּבָּשָׁהbay/yab/ba/SHAupon the landוְאִםve/IMorבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimupon the watersכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִשָּׁאֵרyish/sha/ERit remainsלִיliwith meלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenhereafter

    Wherefore, let him do as the Spirit of the living God commandeth him, whether upon the land or upon the waters, as it remaineth with me to do hereafter.

    וְלָכֶםve/la/KHEMand unto youנִתַּןnit/TANis givenהַמַּסְלוּלham/mas/LULthe courseלַקְּדוֹשִׁיםlak/ke/do/SHIMfor the saintsאוֹoorהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayלִקְדוֹשֵׁיlik/do/SHEfor the saintsמַחֲנֵהma/cha/NEof the campיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordלִנְסֹעַ׃lin/SO/ato journey

    And unto you is given the course for the saints, or the way for the saints of the camp of the Lord, to journey.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonוְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand JosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוְאוֹלִיבֶרve/O/li/VERand OliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyלֹאlonotיִפְתְּחוּyif/te/CHUshall openפִּיהֶםpi/HEMtheir mouthsבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revin the midst ofקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedעַדaduntilבֹּאָםbo/AMtheir arrivingלְסִינְסִינֶּאטִי׃le/Si/ne/sin/ne/TIat Cincinnati

    And again, verily I say unto you, my servants, Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, shall not open their mouths in the congregations of the wicked until they arrive at Cincinnati;

    וּבַמָּקוֹםu/vam/ma/KOMand in the placeהַהוּאha/HUthatיִשְׂאוּyis/Uthey shall lift upקוֹלָםko/LAMtheir voicesלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMunto Godעַלalagainstהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַהוּאha/HUthatאָכֵןa/KHENyeaאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseאַפּוֹap/POangerבֹּעֵרbo/ERis kindledבְּרִשְׁעָתָםbe/rish/a/TAMagainst their wickednessעַםama peopleקָרוֹבka/ROVare nearלְהִבָּשֵׁלle/hib/ba/SHELto be ripenedלְשַׁמָּה׃le/sham/MAfor destruction

    And in that place they shall lift up their voices unto God against that people, yea, unto him whose anger is kindled against their wickedness, a people who are well-nigh ripened for destruction.

32. 32

    וּמִשָּׁםu/mish/SHAMand from thenceיִסְעוּyis/Ulet them journeyלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir wayלִקְהִלּוֹתlik/hil/LOTto the congregationsאֲחֵיהֶםa/che/HEMof their brethrenכִּיkiforעֲמָלָםa/ma/LAMtheir laborsנָחוּץna/CHUTSare neededגַּםgamevenעַתָּהat/TAnowיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreבֵּינֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMamong themמִבֵּיןmib/BENthan amongקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִים׃ha/re/sha/IMof the wicked

    And from thence let them journey for the congregations of their brethren, for their labors even now are wanted more abundantly among them than among the congregations of the wicked.

33. 33

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowעַלalconcerningהַשְּׁאָרhash/she/ARthe residueיִסְעוּyis/Ulet them journeyוְיַכְרִיזוּve/yakh/ri/ZUand declareהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTthe congregationsהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasנִתָּן׃nit/TANit is given

    And now, concerning the residue, let them journey and declare the word among the congregations of the wicked, inasmuch as it is given;

34. 34

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey doזֹאתzotthisיְנַקּוּye/nak/KUthey shall ridבִגְדֵיהֶםvig/de/HEMtheir garmentsוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand they shall beנְקִיִּיםne/kiy/YIMspotlessלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    And inasmuch as they do this they shall rid their garments, and they shall be spotless before me.

35. 35

    וְיִסְעוּve/yis/Uand let them journeyיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherאוֹoorשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimby twoכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesרַקrakonlyעַבְדִּיav/DIlet my servantרֵינוֹלְדְּסRe/NOL/desReynoldsקָהוּןKa/HUNCahoonוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantשְׁמוּאֵלShe/mu/ELSamuelה.hHסְמִיתSe/MITSmithאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whomחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI am well pleasedבָםvamwith themלֹאlonotיִפָּרְדוּyip/pa/re/DUbe separatedעַדaduntilשׁוּבָםshu/VAMtheir returningלְבָתֵּיהֶםle/vat/te/HEMto their homesוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisלְתַכְלִיתle/takh/LITfor a purposeחֲכָמָהcha/kha/MAwiseבִּי׃biin me

    And let them journey together, or two by two, as seemeth them good, only let my servant Reynolds Cahoon, and my servant Samuel H. Smith, with whom I am well pleased, be not separated until they return to their homes, and this for a wise purpose in me.

36. 36

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whatאֹמַרo/MARI sayלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADunto oneאֹמַרo/MARI sayלַכֹּלlak/KOLunto allהִתְחַזְּקוּhit/chaz/ze/KUbe of good cheerיְלָדִיםye/la/DIMchildrenקְטַנִּיםke/tan/NIMlittleכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIבְתוֹכְכֶםve/tokh/KHEMam in your midstוְלֹאve/LOand notעֲזַבְתִּיכֶם׃a/zav/ti/KHEMhave I forsaken you

    And now, verily I say unto you, and what I say unto one I say unto all, be of good cheer, little children; for I am in your midst, and I have not forsaken you;

37. 37

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasנִכְנַעְתֶּםnikh/na/TEMhumbled yourselvesלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meבִּרְכוֹתbir/KHOTthe blessingsהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTof the kingdomלָכֶםla/KHEMyoursהֵנָּה׃hen/NAare

    And inasmuch as you have humbled yourselves before me, the blessings of the kingdom are yours.

38. 38

    אִזְרוּiz/RUgird upמׇתְנֵיכֶםmot/ne/KHEMyour loinsוִהְיוּvih/YUand beעֵרִיםe/RIMwatchfulוּמְיֻשָּׁבִיםu/me/yush/sha/VIMand be soberוְצַפּוּve/tsap/PUand look forthלְבוֹאle/VOfor the comingבֶןVenof the Sonהָאָדָםha/A/DAMof Manכִּיkiforבָאvahe comesבְשָׁעָהve/sha/Ain an hourאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotתַחְשֹׁבוּ׃tach/sho/VUyou think

    Gird up your loins and be watchful and be sober, looking forth for the coming of the Son of Man, for he cometh in an hour you think not.

39. 39

    הִתְפַּלְּלוּhit/pal/le/LUprayתָמִידta/MIDalwaysלְבַלle/VALthat notתָּבֹאוּta/VO/uyou enterלְנִסָּיוֹןle/nis/sa/YONinto temptationלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתַּעַמְדוּta/am/DUyou may abideבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayבֹּאוֹbo/Oof his comingאִםimwhetherבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMin lifeוְאִםve/IMorבַּמָּוֶתbam/MA/vetin deathכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Pray always that you enter not into temptation, that you may abide the day of his coming, whether in life or in death. Even so. Amen.
