   Behold, I say unto you, my servant Sidney Gilbert, that I have heard your prayers; and you have called upon me that it should be made known unto you, of the Lord your God, concerning your calling and election in the church, which I, the Lord, have raised up in these last days.

   Behold, I, the Lord, who was crucified for the sins of the world, give unto you a commandment that you shall forsake the world.

   קַחkachtakeעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaupon youסְמִיכָתִיse/mi/kha/TImy ordinationגַּםgamevenסְמִיכַתse/mi/KHATthe ordinationזָקֵןza/KENof an elderלְהַטִּיףle/hat/TIFto preachאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithוּתְשׁוּבָהu/te/shu/VAand repentanceוּסְלִיחַתu/se/li/CHATand remissionחֲטָאִיםcha/ta/IMof sinsכִּדְבָרִיkid/va/RIaccording to my wordוְקַבָּלַתve/kab/ba/LATand the receptionרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Spiritבִּסְמִיכַתbis/mi/KHATby the laying onיָדָיִם׃ya/da/YIMof hands

   Take upon you mine ordination, even that of an elder, to preach faith and repentance and remission of sins, according to my word, and the reception of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beסֹכֵןso/KHENan agentלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAunto the churchהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְמַנֶּהye/man/NEshall appointהַפָּקִידhap/pa/KIDthe bishopלְפִיle/FIaccording toמִצְוֹתmits/VOTcommandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִנָּתְנוּyin/na/te/NUshall be givenאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenhereafter

   And also to be an agent unto this church in the place which shall be appointed by the bishop, according to commandments which shall be given hereafter.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלְךָle/KHAunto youתֵּצֵאte/TSEyou shall takeלְדַרְכְּךָle/dar/ke/KHAyour journeyעִםimwithעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוְסִידְנִיve/Si/de/NIand Sidneyרִיגְדּוֹן׃Rig/DONRigdon

   And again, verily I say unto you, you shall take your journey with my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵלֶּהEL/lethese areהַחֻקּוֹתha/chuk/KOTthe ordinancesהָרִאשׁוֹנוֹתha/ri/sho/NOTthe firstאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתְּקַבֵּלte/kab/BELyou shall receiveוְהַשְּׁאָרve/hash/she/ARand the residueיוּדַעyu/DAshall be made knownבְּעֵתbe/ETin a timeהַבָּאָהhab/BA/ato comeלְפִיle/FIaccording toעֲבוֹדָתְךָa/vo/da/te/KHAyour laborבְּכַרְמִי׃be/khar/MIin my vineyard

   Behold, these are the first ordinances which you shall receive; and the residue shall be made known in a time to come, according to your labor in my vineyard.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIחָפֵץcha/FETSwouldכִּיkithatתִלְמַדtil/MADyou should learnכִּיkithatרַקrakonlyהַמַּחֲזִיקham/ma/cha/ZIKhe that enduresעַד־הַקֵּץad-hak/KETSunto the endהוּאhuheנוֹשָׁעno/SHAis savedכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   And again, I would that ye should learn that he only is saved who endureth unto the end. Even so. Amen.
